I have no way to explain this at all ><
Ok, randomly I suddenly get paranoid the something is going to jump out at me in my house. It never happens anywhere else but here. I do watch alot of horror movies but they don't seem to have much influence on it. I'm thinking about something completely different, like say, Something funny that happened, I'd randomly get terrified that somethings going to scare me. the worst thing is, is that at that moment I always need the toilet. So I open the door, but I step behind the door so if somethings going to come at me I side step it. I then turn the light on, walk to the bathroom, turn the bathroom light on. Do my business, but then when I go to was my hands there's a mirror directly in front me so I avoid look at the mirror for no reason at all. I go out turn out all the lights, but when close my bedroom door, I do it facing the inside of my bedroom as I can't bare to look into the hall.
I have no idea what's wrong :|

FEAR OF THE DARK
FEAR OF THE DARK

Don't worry. I do almost exactly the same thing, but I don't think it's monsters. I believe in the Shadow things that you can only see out of the corners of your eyes sometimes. Apparently they also appear in mirrors, so I avoid those when I'm alone.
Anyway, it's almost completely normal but a little irrational.

I have the same problem. No clue what I'm even afraid of, but...

I have the same problem. Whenever I go in the bathroom I pull back the curtain to make sure there's no... evil creatures.
Stuff is scary at night. There's nothing wrong with you.

Uuh. Ditto.
I'm always like that when I go to the bathroom at night. And for some reason I don't want to open my bedroom door :/ I think I'm afraid that something is behind it and stuff so I think happy things, like pokčmon and my cats and stuff.

I'm not afraid of the dark because I know nothing is going to happen.
Monsters don't exist.

So do I. A phobia is an illogical fear.

I do things like that too. Sometimes, when I'm on my computer at night, I'll keep turning around every 5 minutes because I think there's someone standing behind me. And of course no one ever is.
I have many irrational fears=O.

Same with me, only I stare in the mirror to make sure nothing is anywhere near me. One time, I had just watched the Exorcist, and when I woke up the next morning, I stayed in bed for like an hour without moving so no ghosts would attack me, or something like that. I was only ten then, and now I'm kinda paranoid and I'm hearing things. Why does my computer have to be in a corner? *Turns chair around to look at the room*

I used to be like this, but I got over it.
I don't have any advice, but don't worry, it's just a phase, you'll grow out of it.

I have the same problem
When I'm in the shower I have this wierd fear that something is gonna bust through the freaking wall and attack me. :P
Also, after playing F.E.A.R, I now:
1.) Have a fear of little girls in red dresses.
2.) Pray that when there is a blackout, that nothing randomly appears.
3.)Freak out when I hear childish giggling.
Damn, I have problems.

Oh god... I know where you come from x.x
At night, for example, when I am done with the washroom and it is really late, right after flushing and washing my hands, I BOLT out of the washroom into my bedroom, shut the door, lock it, and try to get back into bed before the flushing sound finishes...
I keep on thinking something will get me when I am out of bed and there is no light or constant noise (e.g. Music) in the area... x.x
The monsters I used to fear were Grimer-like, but they consumed children, sucking them into their hellish stomach for slow digestion...
...Yeah, I sometimes can't believe I am a Voreaphile XD

Same here. When I go to the toilet at night I always go as fast as I can and when I close the light I bolt out and into bed. I think that I don't believe in monsters but at night I'm scared and I think that there is some monster that is scared of light. I thought I was mad and didn't tell anyone but now I know this thread and it rocks. I do say that monsters don't exist but I seem to be creative which I hate.

How does this relate to Unuhexium?

I have my lamp beside my bed, so I can turn it off when I feel secure :3

I used to have a horrible fear of something in my closet. But now, I sleep in there. :D
My girlfriend had this feeling that something was watching her in the hall of her father's house, and when she went down that hall, she bolted. She was really young, and moved out when she was young, though. Now she's just all around scared of random noises in quiet rooms, and she always thinks someone's going to break in and hurt her.

Holy crap, I know what you guys mean. And this is coming from the person who watched Jurrassic Park 8 times in a row when she was 4 and crying when the Velociraptors got killed. XD And I was paranoid for SOOO long after seeing Snakes on a Plane. Yes, I realize there are no extremely deadly and snakes in my bed waiting to bite my head off. God, I sound like a five year old. Do I have a problem? Or just extremely paranoid?

I think you're just extremely paranoid. I thought my wall was going to start bleeding after watching an extremely weird episode of A Haunting. XD; Just paranoia.
Oh man. I've got something like that. I mean, well, I would get up at night, and think of like, i dont know, dead faces. 0-0. Then I would get goosebumps and just do what i was doing, but faster, and run instead of walk.
Damn you screamers. Damn you to hell.

Mm. I always make sure someone is upstairs when I bathe because there are toilets only upstairs, and I make sure I sing a song that my church pastor taught me to make sure I don't think of scissorman*gulp*. When I sleep I face the side where it does not face the wall. And I can't sleep if no one else in the house is awake.

... Are you talking about that creepy game Clock Tower? AGH, I hate being reminded of that. Thanks to it I've become a soft man.

I forgot to say, this is completely irrelevant(spelling :|), but I can watch saw movies without flinching. But there's two movies I can't watch and they're nowhere near as bad as Saw. Final Destination 2&3. And what does my science teacher decide to show on the last day, Final Destination3 :|. So me and this other lad who's afraid of blood (I'm afraid of blood, but I can watch saw for a strange, unapparant reason) were doing random jobs for the teacher and blatantly taking ages xD. But he want to stay for the sunbed scene of course, and nearly puked when he saw what happened next. But when we were coming back in, I always walk in on the bits that make me queezy. So I sat with him and all the other lads because I couldn't find anyone else xD
That somehow popped up in my head :D
