Teach any pokemon that has mimic any move(untested)

you must have a smeargle with the desired move and another sketch. your other pokemon must have lag tail, and mimic, trade smeargle to another game. Have your choice pokemon (ycp) on one side and smeargle on other in a single battle Battle log:

Turn 1:
smeargle used sketch
ycp used mimic
T2:
smeargle used (insert move you wanna learn here)
ycp used sketch on that move.

Ta-Da you now have apokemon with any move you wish(untested)

This doesn't work after GSC. It was apparently fixed in the third gen, so you can only have Mew and maybe Ditto in GSC with any move, since this trick needs Transform to work, IIRC. In RSE and beyond, you can't Mimic Sketch anymore.
 
...Wait... Prettzel, please explain that, because Transform lasts for only one battle, so how would Transform have EVER worked?
 
Simple. Get into a trainer battle with your Transforming Mew, and Transform into Smeargle. Defeat it, then have your other trainer use the desired move, which Mew will Sketch. Defeat any other Pokemon, and the Sketched move will have taken the place of Transform. To get Transform back, use Stsdium 2's Move Returner. Repeat until you have the desired moveset. Yep, you can have your very own Aeroblasting/Fish/Perish Trapping/something else Mew. Or Ditto, if you really want.

Oh, and this also works for pokemon that can learn Metronome. Takes patience to use, though. Try it.
 
How would you defeat the Smeargle? Don't you mean that the other person switches out to the desired Pokemon?
