Over the past month or so, Jhoto has been in an uproar. All across the region, various people of all ages and from all origins have been simply disappearing, and no one knows exactly why. Plenty of suspiciouns have come up; that the governemnt was responsible, that Pokemon were killing humans as a rebellion... But some were wary of the shady figures in black uniforms who were now seen on occasion slinking about the streets at night. No one knows for sure, though. Not even the Pokemon League has the faintest clue, but more and more people keep going missing without explanation...

Where do you come in? You wake up in a cold and dark room, immediately aware of your surroundings. You, as well as many others, are trapped in a barred cage. But... you feel different. As if your body itself has changed. And the last thing you can remember is someone in a black uniform knocking you out somehow. Barely, you'd caught the sight of a blood-red letter "R" on the uniform before blacking out. And now, you are in a cage...

Little do you know, your DNA has been altered, and you are now a Pokemon! By this time it should be clear that the disappearances have all been a plot by Team Rocket, and you happen to be one of the victims. Very soon you will discover these things, but there are still bigger mysteries. Why is Team Rocket turning people into Pokemon? And how long will it be before all of Jhoto is in a state of national crisis because of it? You do know you have to escape from here, though. And then parhaps with the other humans-turned-Pokemon, you can put a stop to Team Rocket's wicked scheme before it's too late...

Okay. So, the main objective of this RPG is to join forces with the other once-humans (AKA other RPers) and eventually defeat Team Rocket, after escaping their lab in Violet City. Along the way there will be new discoveries, adventure, probably some side-quests, and plenty more besides.

RULES

• All rules of TCoD and its RP forum apply, obviously.
• This should be Semi-Literate. That means decent grammar, one-line posts only when absolutely necessary, and as much detail as you can include.
• Notify me via post or PM if you're going to be unable to post for longer than two to three days.
• Put the word "dancing" somewhere in your Sign-Up to prove you read the rules.
• Be realistic with your posts; you can't evolve every other battle, use attacks your Pokemon can't learn (unless otherwise specified), always win effortlessly, or show other repetitive signs of Mary-Sueism.
• You are allowed a maximum of three posts per day, to allow for others to catch up. Use them however you please, but please choose to use them wisely. This limit will not be extended under any circumstances for one specific RPer, and I may only permit more if the situation being RPed actually requires it for some reason ot another.

Name: Rachel Rubison

Pokemon: Torchic

Appearance: Rachel's feathers are unusually a bit more reddish than orange. Her beak has a sharp tip and a curve, as if it were made for hunting. The tips of the three golden-yellow feathers on her head are a very dark brown (so dark, in fact, that they're practically black in color). Otherwise, she is your average Torchic.

Personality: Just ask anybody who knows her. Rachel is a little reserved, a little more cold, and all-out rude. And she's not afraid to show it, either. One could call her self-centered, stuck-up, bossy, inpolite... All of those would likely be true. However, beneath her prickly exterior, Rachel really is more than a bit lonely, and desires a friend more than anything else. She would never admit it, though.

Bio: When she was twelve, Rachel's parents divorced. The situation bothered her very much, but what was worse had to be that her mother married someone else only a month afterward. Unfortunately, Rachel had to live with her mother in New Bark Town for the next three years (of course, until this happened). She has not heard from her father since the divorce.

Rachel decided to go on a Pokemon journey when she turned fifteen (just to get away from her mother and stepdad, really). On the first day of her journey, however, she went missing. We know why, of course...

Bio: Jackson was going home from late-night grocery shopping. He never noticed the Team Rocket member coming toward him until it was too late. The grunt hit him over the head with something that Jackson doesn't know about. When Jackson woke up, he was here of course.

Age: 12
Pokemon: Gastly
Appearance: Since she has no legs, she can't do dancing. Her fangs are a bit larger than most Gastlys', and she has a star on her forehead, but other than that, she's normal.
Personality: Hoshizora likes nighttime and looking up at the stars, hence her name. She defends anyone on her side. She trusts no one other than the humans-turned-Pokemon.
Bio: Her hometown, in fact, was Violet City. She grew up on the edge of it, and had never seen one of the black uniformed people. She was just minding her own business, going to buy a Poke Ball when a strange person snuck up on her.
Other: no.

This seems interesting; a cross between Team Rocket and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon.

Name: Mark Smith
Gender: ...male...?
Age: 19
Pokemon: Doduo
Appearance: Being a male Doduo, his neck(s) are black.
Personality: Mark, as a human, was completely normal, but as a Doduo, he has slightly become a schizophrenic. His heads have two different personalities and tend to argue with each other. They each have the same past of being a human, but one head tends to get angrily easily, but is extremely intelligent, whereas the other head is kind and hard to get angry, but tends to be a little dim-witted. Mark has taken to having people call the smarter one "Mark" and the more dim-witted one "Kram".
Bio: Mark was born in Azalea Town, but moved to Goldenrod when he was 4 years old. His personality as a human was a combination of both of the personalities of his heads. When he was fourteen he began working as a clerk in the Bike Shop. The day he was captured, he remembered that someone had robbed the Bike Shop, and the last thing that Mark remembered was hearing a gun shot and an excruciating pain in his arm, before colllapsing on the ground.
Other: Dancing = cheese. :D

Personality: Felsen is rather stubborn and rash. She charges into anything. She does think a lot when calmed, however.
Bio: As you can tell from her name, Felsen is of German descent. She lived life as a normal girl from Jhoto, until the attacks started. She went to investigate the attacks, which was when she was caught.
Other: She's awful at dancing, although she enjoys it.

Appearance: Just like Hoshizora: no legs, no dancing.
Personality: Happy, always in a good mood. Likes to play pranks, tell/hear terror stories and make everyone laugh. However, can be serious if the situation demands it.
Bio: Aaron was a regular boy, living in Kanto. He was in Johto for a weekend. This was his first time travelling alone, so his parents called every five minutes. During one of those calls, he had just finished talking when he heard a person, so he turned around. Before getting hit with a pipe, the only thing he saw was a big, red "R" in the man's suit.

Bio:As a human,Mysti has the same personality(duh).She develpoed psychic powers at 5 years old and has used them for good,not turning people into dolls!She is a big fan of mewtwo/mew,because she loves cats.

Personality: Zak is lazy, not in that he doesn't like doing anything, but in that he hates working. He is starting to change, as he will still do whatever needs to be done, but he sometimes complains about it. He doesn't like taking things that seriously unless it will have some impact on himself, and while he can be a joker, he occasionally gets mad at people for getting pranked himself.
Bio: Zak Stone was a 16 boy in Goldenrod City. His mother works at the Pokecenter and his father works at the Radio Station, and Zak himself wished to one day be a professor. One night, he and his Cyndaquil were walking home after going to the Pokemart, when the Rockets attacked him and kidnapped him. His Cyndaquil made it home alone, and his parents are worried about him.

Appearance: A normal Ponyta, but for the fact that her flames are a silvery-white, most probably because she had dyed her hair silver before she had been attacked.
Personality: Very brash, Balia is extremely competitive, and cannot stand being insulted. She does everything she can to win, obsesses over her losses and goes overboard when trying to be better. She is nearly always rude, and is so tactless it's doubted she even knows what tact is. Nevertheless, she is very loyal, and when she makes a descision, she sticks with it. She loves dancing and all kinds of music.
Bio: Balia was born to two trainers who instilled their love of Pokemon battles in her. She became very good, and was going out to catch a Pokemon to train when she dimly saw someone in black. She was about to call out when she was hit with something and blacked out.

Age: 14
Pokemon: Skitty.
Appearance: A normal Skitty.
Personality: She's mostly nice, clam, and helpful, but is rarely sassy.
Bio: Ratte was a maid in her aunt's mansion in Jhoto. She had to sweep her whole mansion, but she liked dancing better then sweeping, so she danced everyday with her Delcatty. One day, she had to stop dancing and had to sweep, then she went outside to take a walk, then a Team Rocket member hit her on the head with a bat, she saw a big red "R" on his suit before she got hit.

Pokemon: Houndour. :3 (No, I am most definitely not going with the character from the fanfic... *shiftyeyes*)
Appearance: A normal Houndour, aside from the fact that she wears a necklace with a black flame symbol.
Personality: Rather cynical, not trusting anyone or anything without good reason. Because of this she comes across as reserved and lonely (plus the fact that she doesn't like being around large groups of people), but in truth she's really not. Once she finds someone she trusts she will be fiercely loyal to them and protect them with her life if she has to.
Bio: April was a Pokemon collector that had just decided to become a Pokemon trainer. Her native region was Kanto, but she had come to Johto to collect Pokemon there instead, and she now owns a wide range of Pokemon, her favorite being a Vulpix that she had found sick and dancing confusedly through the streets. After the three years she spent as a collector, she stopped at Violet City while travelling to New Bark Town to begin her career as a trainer, and this is where she fell into Team Rocket's trap.

Name: Kailani
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Pokemon: Spiritomb
Appearance: Like a normal spiritomb, except where this is green, there is now red, and where there would be purple, there is now dark grey
Personality: Ah, many choice words could describe Kailani: cold, unwillingness to work with others, "regal", and- the one many had thought of him as- unstable. Because of his "transformation" into a Spiritomb, his emotions are now twisted and, for want of a better word, "shattered". He can remain in cotnrol of his emotions for the most part, but when in some situations, his control will snap and he will give in to his raging turmoil of emotions.
Bio: Kailani has never known the true meaning of the word: "enjoyment." His first memory is waking up in an abandoned building, when he was 14 and from there he began to make a living for himself on the streets, stealing form others so he could keep living. During this time, he began to develop a hatred of the "normal people" because their life seemed to be all grand and luxurious. He also developed a strong hatred of most pokemon because they had the option of joining up with humans, giving them a window of opprotunity into a better life. Since then, he has continued to nurse his hatred for humans and pokemon. Five years after he awoke with no memory of his first 14 years, he was captured by a mysterious black hooded being with a Red "R" and afterwards he passed out

Gender: Female.

Age: 16.

Pokemon: Poochyena

Appearance: She has curly hair near her tail and backside. Where it bristles out for normal Poochyena.

Personality: Arkra is... a bit difficult to figure out. She's very shy and quiet, and barely speaks. Due to a lack of social experience, she doesn't really know how to deal with others. Because of this, Arkra is quite lonely. It takes time to become Arkra's friend, but once she becomes comfortable around someone, she'll become a lot louder. Her attitude is very servile, she will do whatever her friends want, for fear of being hated and rejected. And usually does not speak her true feelings, also due to this.

Bio: Arkra was just your run-of-the-mill Pokemon trainer. Though she was born and raised in Hoenn, her family recently moved to Johto, and there she started her journey with a Chikorita.

As she was about to head over to the Violet City gym, the girl was ambushed by a Team Rocket member, who came at her from behind and threw a bag over her head. She couldn't fight him off and soon lost consciousness. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Other: Dance, dance, yeah, yeah.

Appearance: Slightly muscular build, like a clydesdale foal. Bright eyes, usual-coloured flames. Wearing a blue scarf around his neck.

Personality: He's pretty friendly and is willing to take on most challenges. As a human, he usually participated in Contests rather than battling, so he's somewhat inexperienced in this area, but he's willing to try. Deuce is patient and likes to charm the ladies, but becomes angry when embarrassed.

Bio: As a human, he was raised Hearthome city and participated in most contests. Him and his parents went to Blackthorne City for a vacation. Deuce went out to find himself a Dratini when he was kidnapped by two men in black suits. One clubbed him over the head and he doesn't remember anything since then.

Other: Was exceptionally good at dancing.
