• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

How do I put images from my computer in a post?

PNG. No matter what anyone tells you, use PNG.

Then make an account on Photobucket or Imageshack, upload it, and get the code.

Tinypic is lovely. And so is Imageshack and Photobucket. If you're on a Mac, though, Tinypic is the best way to go.

gifs are good for animations and that's it; jpgs are okay I guess if you don't care about quality at all

Doesn't always work that well, though, and there're times when png works better for that.

Can't Firefox 3 make animated PNGs?

Or did someone make that up?

EDIT: Never mind, wikipedia'd it.

Hey guys.

There's this lovely tool called Giffy that can make any file into a GIF file without losing a single color while making the file size tiny. Use it.
