Arena: Roy’s Office
This battle takes place in the office of General Roy Mustang of Eastern Amestrian Command. The room is large and square, with huge windows at one end, and a door at the other. A desk, with Roy himself seated in it, is under the windows, covered with papers that have a 15% per round chance of being flung to the floor by Roy’s frustration. There are two leather couches between the desk and door that may be climbed. The floor is wooden, and has a bit of dust around that can be used for attacks like Sand Tomb, Sand Attack, ect. There are two rows of bookshelves on the walls on the opposite sides of the room. The Pokemon in the battle are reduced in size so that something like, say, steelix, would be around a foot tall, and something like pikachu would be around 4-5 inches. There is a 20% per round chance that Roy will look up from his work, notice the Pokemon, and attack them for 5% Fire-typed damage with his flame alchemy, and the chance is upped if an Earthquake attack is used to 50% chance that round. There is also a 25% chance that Edward Elric will come into the room and yell at Roy, effective as a Screech attack.

Mesa choose Amp (Mareep)!

Basically, use Flash to blind it temporarily. If it works, use Body Slam. If, for some reason, it doesn't work, use Thunderbolt instead. Finish it off with Protect, just cause.

Round One: Begin

In his office of the Eastern Amestrian Command, General Roy Mustang furiously signs and skims the official documents covering his desk. Far below his range of vision, two miniature trainers, shrunk to only a few inches tall, call out the names of their Pokemon as they threw their Pokeballs. In flashes of red light, Doomsday the Bidoof and Amp the Mareep materialize on the dusty, hardwood floor. Amp's beady eyes widen as she notices the towering items above her, but, as she catches sight of her opponent, she relaxes considerably. Doomsday appears nonchalant in the unfamiliar landscape, observing his surroundings unperturbed.

Amp paws the ground roughly with her hoof. Electricity crackles audibly in her wool, causing it to flare out and to make her seem larger. Doomsday tenses in anticipation, and, focusing his mental strength, summons a Protect to shield him. The transparent shield shimmers faintly in the air around the Bidoof. With a shriek, the Mareep releases the huge buildup of energy within her wool. Her body gives off an intense white glow, and Doomsday squints in its bright glow. The Bidoof's Protect flickers in the air as it filters the intense light rays.

As the glow from the Flash attack dies down, Roy Mustang pounds his desk in consternation. Towering over the Pokemon, he squints blearily at them in surprise. "Stupid insects," he mutters, still wondering about the strange flash of light. Pausing in thought, he pulls on one glove and tries to aim at the "insects". With a rapid snap of his fingertips, a stream of fire shoots towards Doomsday and Amp. Both Pokemon scurry backwards as fast as they can, but there is no need; Roy's flame chars the hardwood floor several boards away from them. Although still temporarily blinded by Flash, Roy looks satisfied with his work as he sits back to do more desk work.

Still looking calm, Doomsday moves easily towards the Mareep in preparation for his next move. The Bidoof opens her jaws wide in a relaxed Yawn. Amp, unnerved from the flame attack and growing sleepy, stumbles briefly over her feet. Drowsiness is starting to cloud her mind, but she bravely fights the temptation to sleep as she charges up her electricity again. A Thunderbolt erupts from her body, streaking through the air. Doomsday is knocked onto his back by the force of the blow; he whines in pain and discomfort as the electricity jolts in his muscles.

The Bidoof willingly curls up in a defensive position, still lying on her back. Her brown, front paws grasp at his puffy brown tail in a Defense Curl. Amp struggles to start up a Protect, her knees bending against her will. The air in front of her briefly shimmers before she collapses with a loud thud. The Mareep's eyes close slowly as she starts to doze off.

Since you're asleep, just use Sleep Talk twice. If you wake up, then use Swagger, then Shock Wave, or just Shock Wave if you wake up after the first Sleep Talk. If you still don't wake up, use Sleep Talk again, or use Rain Dance if you do wake up or are already awake.

Round Two: Begin

As Amp snoozes peacefully on the charred floor, Doomsday obediently makes herself smaller and rounder. Swinging back and forth on his back, the little brown ball of fur starts to build up momentum as she begins her roll around the sleeping Mareep. Following her mental map and her sense of smell, the Bidoof slams straight into her opponent. Amp lets out a small groan, still deep in sleep. However, her subconscious faintly registers Lord Shyguy's voice even as she lies on the ground. Electricity flickers about her horns and the tuft of yellow wool on her head, casting a flickering glow on the ground. Doomsday squeaks in surprise as the Thundershock stings her backside, her rolling slowing for just a moment.

Remembering her mission, Doomsday wheels around suddenly. With a few quick spins, her rotational speed increases dramatically. Amp snorts fitfully in her sleep, her subconscious revving up her body again for another Sleep Talk. Doomsday viciously bowls into the Mareep a second time, causing her limp body to skid across the floor. This time, several tufts of yellow wool float away from Amp as her opponent knocks her sideways. The wool drifts onto the Bidoof. Doomsday grunts in exasperation as the Cotton Spore starts to impair her movement. No matter how much she rolls, the wool clings tenaciously to her brown fur. Somewhere above the two Pokemon, Roy sneezes loudly and mutters exasperatedly about dust and allergies. Amp's body jerks reflexively at the noise, and her bleary, black eyes start to open. The Mareep pulls herself on her feet and shakes her head to clear her drowsy mind.

Now awake, Amp faintly remembers her trainer's last order. She nods to herself confidently and begans to dance on the hardwood floor. Her hooves lightly tap upon the floor, and her head bobs to an inner rhythm. Meanwhile, Doomsday takes another sharp turn a short distance away. Throwing her weight forwards, she charges into the Mareep with greater force than before. Knocked off-balance, Amp stubbornly forces herself to rise from the ground to continue her Rain Dance. Faint, translucent gray clouds are gathering above her, just at Roy's desk level. They slowly increase in density and surface area, and a small storm begins to brew in the middle of Roy's office.

Round Three: Begin

With some difficulty, Doomsday takes a daredevil spin on the charred floor. The sprinkling rain dampens her fur to a slick, shiny dark brown. Carefully watching the Bidoof's actions, Amp takes a few steps backward in order to estimate the trajectory of the Rollout attack. The towering bookshelf begins to cast a faint shadow over her as sunlight streams inside from the high windows. Focusing her energies, a shimmering shield materializes in the air in front of the Mareep. Her beady eyes are narrowed, her muscles tense, with her mind concentrating on maintaining her Protect. Seeing the telltale signs of the protective barrier, Doomsday frantically tries to stop her movement, tumbling clumsily on the floor. The clumps of yellow wool hanging off her fur quickly gather wooden splinters and dust. Her claws scrabbling on the floor, the Bidoof manages to stop herself in time a few body lengths away from the shield.

"Roy Mustang!" shouts a deafening, young male's voice. At the same time, the heavy wooden door slams into the wall with a resounding crack. The visitor's uneven footfalls reverberate through the floor, one step heavy, like a great weight, with the other lighter. Doomsday and Amp quickly retreat into the shadow of the bookshelf. Doomsday wrinkles her nose in disgust at the musty smell of the old papers as she crouches at the side, while Amp shivers in terror, burying her head in her fluffy wool in an effort to drown out the sound. "Do something about this paperwork, will you?" the voice shouts again, high above the Pokemon. A brief flash of red whips across the floor along with a gust of air. The rain cloud drifts towards the bookshelf, droplets of water flying through the air. The vibrations in the floorboards grow smaller and smaller as Edward Elric turns to leave Roy's office. The red swathe of cloth settles for a moment, as the elder Elric brother pauses to glance at the bookshelf.

"Wait a minute. Roy, I always knew you had some weird hobbies- but what's a rain cloud doing in your office?" asks Edward innocently, giving the man a curious smile. Roy, shaking his head in frustration, mutters angrily as his hand scratches hasty signatures and dates in black ink. A few papers fly off the desk in his haste, much to Edward's amusement. "Well, since you're so busy now... I'll see you later," calls Edward cheerfully, as he strides out the open door. As he slams the door closed, the two Pokemon tentatively venture out of the darkness.

Still stunned by the impact on her ears, Amp emits a muffled squeal of fear. Her black face, still buried in fluffy yellow wool, looks upward to peek anxiously into the room. She hears her own heart pump loudly within her chest; for a moment, she is too stunned to remember what to do. Doomsday, still maintaining her composure, scratches her head half-heartedly, bemused at her opponent's fear. Relaxing for a moment, the Bidoof gives a wide, slack-jawed yawn, moaning sleepily and loudly. Amp totters weakly to her feet with considerable mental effort. Using her remaining concentration, she erects a Safeguard around her. A pale green, translucent veil hangs loosely around her body, protecting her from any more status conditions. The raindrops continue falling unhindered, but the water continues to reflect the eerie green glow.

In a brave attempt to follow Lord Shyguy's last order, Amp stumbles forward, electricity flickering in her wool. Unwillingly, the Mareep again collapses into another deep sleep. Her frayed mind succumbs to the temptation of sleep, her slack body sprawling out onto the floor. Doomsday appears pleased with herself, surveying her opponent approvingly. Glands in her neck begin to secrete a deadly poison. The acid stings her throat, but the Bidoof coughs the liquid into her mouth. Her cheeks bulging, she bounds forward towards Amp. She spits the Toxic into the Mareep's face. However, much to Doomsday's surprise, the Toxic stops dead in its tracks. It harmlessly slides off the Safeguard veil, leaving a sizzling pool in the floorboards.

Round Four: Begin

Sitting calmly on the damp floorboards, Doomsday again pulls her brown, furry body into a ball. Swinging her weight back and forth, she takes a few leisurely spins in order to build up momentum. Sniffing around as she rolls, she is careful to avoid the small pool of acidic poison still sizzling just in front of Amp. Meanwhile, an urgent instinct tugs at Amp's subconscious, causing her to groan a little in her sleep. Her wool starts to glow in a Charge, buffering her against special attacks while storing up electrical energy. The Bidoof takes no notice. The floor, slick with rain, quickens her progress across the floor. However, the tufts of wool gather water like sponges, weighing her down a little bit. Nevertheless, Doomsday pummels into the sleeping Mareep. The Safeguard obediently hovers over the Mareep's prone body, but it is incapable of defending her from the Rollout's damage.

The Bidoof feels a small jolt of extra electricity tickle her paws, but the sensation is momentary. Doomsday swerves dangerously close to the bookcase, along the outer fringe of the dark spot caused by the damp floor. As she builds up momentum, she spins directly into Amp, shoving her across the floor again. Much to her surprise, this time, she briefly catches sight of a riot of color during her roll. Still asleep, this time, Amp Sleep Talks up a Signal Beam, which emanates brightly from her twin horns. Although her head is buried in belly fur, the intertwining blast of blue and red light temporarily disorients the rolling Bidoof. A loud, continuous humming noise starts pounding in the Bidoof's ears. With no visual or aural indication of her location, Doomsday accidentally crashes into the Bookshelf. A notebook, a giant thing from the Bidoof's perspective, crash lands from above next to her, while the shuffling noise of other books' pages echoes through the air.

"Hmm?" At the sound of the resonating human voice, Doomsday stops moving. Although the humming noise still echoes in her ears, the Bidoof pricks up her rounded auricles to check for danger. She can feel a tender bruise beginning to form at her backside, where she had just bumped into the bookshelf. Freezing in place, she watches the dark-haired head of Roy Mustang with great interest and wariness. However, despite the small ruckus she just made, Roy seems completely absorbed in his own problems. Unexpectedly, the man crumples several of the sheets of paper and tosses the balls of paper at the ground at the ground. In a panic, the Bidoof dodges the hurtling paper balls, which slightly surpass her own size. Amp whines in her sleep as two of the paper balls buffet her prone form. The rain cloud above starts to lose some of its color; the dark gray slowly fades to a paler, whitish-gray as the humidity starts to disperse more evenly throughout the room.

Doomsday grimaces as she throws herself into another roll; her backside throbs every time she puts too much weight in it or pulls herself in too tightly. Perservering, she jump starts another Rollout routine in the same fashion as she did in the beginning. She starts a slow, gentle roll and gradually begins to build up speed. Much to the Bidoof's astonishment, she hears a sudden crack of electricity among the din of raindrops and distant humming. Simultaneously, she feels a sharp pain in her limbs and stomach as a Thunder Wave cuts into her muscles. Taken aback, Doomsday lets go of herself, sprawling out on the floor. The stabbing sensation of the electricity stings her muscles, but the Bidoof struggles back onto her feet. Amp's breathing gets quicker as she sleeps on the floor. Instinctively, she pulls her limbs into a more comfortable sleeping position, her conscious mind still inactive. Above her, the sparse memory of the rain cloud drizzles lightly upon the arena.

Round Five: Begin

As Roy moans and grumbles in the midst of his heavy paperwork high above, the two competitors continue to face each other on the hardwood floor below. Surrounded by giant, crumpled balls of paper, Doomsday struggles to move against the crippling paralysis in her muscles and the pulsing of the headache in her brain. Deciding to take it easy for now, she settles in a slouching position on the ground to rest. Opposite the Bidoof, Amp continues to nap on the sodden floor. Her side moves up and down as she breathes, while crackles of electricity flicker in her wool. The thin veil of a Safeguard hangs loosely over the Mareep, its glow beginning to weaken now.

Unexpectedly, the crimson gem on the Mareep's tail begins to ripple strangely, like molten glass. Dividing in two, the second, smaller gemstone diverges from the original and shoots as if from a slingshot at Doomsday straight in the forehead. An angry red welt forms beneath the coarse brown fur, increasing the numbing pain in her head. Shaking her head distractedly, the Bidoof knocks into a paper ball while staggering on the slippery floor. Snoozing lightly even still, Amp does not appear perturbed by the action around her. The electricity crackles loudly in her wool before striking out at Doomsday in an all-out Discharge. Doomsday is taken aback by the shocking blow; she involunarily stumbles backwards and away from her opponent.

Although she has difficulty concentrating, Doomsday curls her furry body into a brown ball. She starts off on another Rollout, trying her best to focus on her current objective. Some of the cotton in her fur clings to the splintery wood, much to her annoyance, but the Bidoof pushes onward and perseveres. As the Bidoof again pummels into her opponent, the Mareep cries out softly as she is shoved across the ground.

The owner of the desk at the other side of the room lets out a loud roar of frustration. Shivering and rudely awakened, Amp jerks uncomfortably out of her sleep. His chair squeaking discordantly as he shoves it away from him, Roy Mustang stands up with a jolt. Both Pokemons' ears now ringing, their eyes widen at the next spectacle. His hands run furiously through his dark hair, and his eyes narrow upon the two Pokemon duking it out on the other side of his office. Pulling the white alchemy glove over his right hand , he snaps his fingers with authority. A mischevious, almost evil light plays in his eyes as the fire streams from his fingers. The stream of flame singes not only his floor, but it also scorches Doomsday and Amp's highly flammable fur. Satisfied with his work, Roy sits back down at his desk and lazily closes his eyes.

Panicky now, Doomsday rolls rapidly around the ground in order to put out her smoking fur. Thankfully, the wet floor and the light drizzle above contribute greatly to her efforts, and now her fur is dry but black with ash. All that remains of the wool clumps are damp ash piles scattered across Doomsday's path. Amp staggers to her feet, still shaky from the aural impact. Her Safeguard dissolves completely now, but the cool, green energy saves her from a worse burning. Mustering up her confidence, she calls upon the power of lightning and concentrates on gathering the electricity in the air and in the rain cloud above her. In a blinding flash of light, a Thunder attack strikes from the cloud, directed by Amp's willpower. Doomsday, no longer as impassive as before, shrieks as the bolt of lightning reverberates through her body.

Round Five: Begin

In the trashed corner of Roy Mustang's office, both Pokemon, starting to feel the strain of their efforts, face each other under the waning rain. The last few drizzling drops fall upon the ground as the grayish wisps of cloud disperse into the air. Cheered temporarily by her pervious success, Amp manages to gather her energy once more. A shimmering, green veil descends upon her, wrapping her body in its delicate, cool folds. Doomsday is mildly relieved at receiving the same orders yet again; less work for her frazzled mind to complete, she reasons to herself. She tumbles over the bumpy terrain into the direction of the Mareep. The blur of dull-colored surroundings becomes awash in a blast of yellow; the Bidoof smiles to herself as she lands a powerful blow on the Mareep.

Squealing in discomfort, the Mareep struggles back to her feet. Beneath her fluffy wool, dark bruises are already forming. Her tail whips back and forth in the air, an anxious yet anticipatory air in its rhythmic movements. The large red orb at its tip emits an eerie glow. The crystalline structure becomes amorphous, its form rippling in the rays of sunlight streaming from above. Like a cell in telophase, the shapes diverge. Throwing her weight forward again, Doomsday feels confident in her movements until, to her immense surprise, her muscles lock up from paralysis. Infuriated and terrified, the Bidoof spins uncontrollably in her route towards Amp.

Amp launches the Power Gem at Doomsday, the jewel shooting towards him as if it were just launched from a slingshot. Doomsday yelps in pain; the force of the hard gemstone knocks her tumbling body off-course. Veering towards the bookshelf, Doomsday, panicky, strains her muscles with all her determination. To her relief, a convenient bend in the hardwood floor directs her rolling motion away from the hard bookshelf looming above.

Amp looks rather pleased with herself, her eyes glitter as if she is mocking the wild movements of her opponent.The Mareep's wool crackles loudly as electrical energy churns beneath. Amp focuses on accumulating this buildup, carefully keeping a mental grasp on the electricity. Doomsday tries unsuccessfully to direct her rolling; her movement is beginning to deaccelerate. A stroke of lightning flashes momentarily in the air- then it electrocutes Doomsday, frying her nerves and her brown fur.

Round Six: Begin

Filled with a renewed vigor and confidence, the Mareep's dark, beady eyes focus on her opponent. Her fluffy wool expands, swelling and rippling with an undercurrent of strong, static electricity. The air around her crackles ominously with bright sparks. Doomsday's balled-up form grinds slowly to a halt; her body opens up and lies nonchalantly on the ground. Whatever earlier panic she felt does not show on her indifferent, buck-toothed face. The Bidoof clambers slowly onto her feet, wincing from her cramped muscles. Noticing the dangerous look in Amp's eyes, Doomsday pours her energy into generating a protective shield. The translucent form shimmers just between the two opponents, a fragile-looking disturbance playing with the light.

Amp releases the Thunderbolt with a loud crack. The zigzagging bolt slams into the Protect, dissolving into ripples of light that splay over the gently sloping surface of the shield. The Mareep snorts in discontent, but nevertheless she resumes her energy production, her wool crackling viciously again. Doomsday winces from her muscles acting up again. Instead of trying any harder, the Bidoof slumps lazily to the ground, reluctant to fight her painful paralysis. Merciless in her offense, Amp again directs the burst of electrical energy at her opponent. The electricity ruthlessly shocks Doomsday's battered body, coursing violently through her veins.

A small smirk curls the Mareep's lips for a brief moment. Her moment of glory is rudely interrupted by a tremor in the ground, startling her and knocking her off-balance. Banging his fists on the foot-high stack of papers before him, Roy Mustang rises above the chaos of his desk, glaring and gritting his teeth at the nuisances below him. "Can't anybody get a decent bit of peace and silence in this place?" he asks the Pokemon in a threatening, lowered voice. Laughing evilly, he pulls on the white glove. The complex alchemy signal glitters in the flame that erupts from his fingers.

Amp squeaks in alarm as her wool catches fire, disoriented from panic. The green veil of Safeguard protects her from the brunt of the attack, the cool energy soothes her dark skin and protects her from burns. As Amp trips and falls onto the damp ground, the moisture quells the burning sensation in her dark skin. A visible patch of her wool is burned, singed black by the Flame Alchemist's trademark attack. Shaking herself out of her momentary distracted state, the Mareep strains to generate another bodyful of electricity. Opposing her, Doomsday takes the opportunity to start herself in another roll, traversing the hardwood floor in a rolled-up ball. The Bidoof pummels the Mareep with an opening blow, knocking her sideways. In retaliation, Amp unleashes another shocking burst of electrical force upon Doomsday. Doomsday barely manages to keep herself in orbit; her brown fur is frayed and wild with stray electricity. Amp nearly collapses from exhaustion, feeling the harsh drain of Safeguard on her energy.

This battle takes place in the office of General Roy Mustang of Eastern Amestrian Command. The room is large and square, with huge windows at one end, and a door at the other. A desk, with Roy himself seated in it, is under the windows, covered with papers that have a 15% per round chance of being flung to the floor by Roy’s frustration. There are two leather couches between the desk and door that may be climbed. The floor is wooden, and has a bit of dust around that can be used for attacks like Sand Tomb, Sand Attack, ect. There are two rows of bookshelves on the walls on the opposite sides of the room. The Pokemon in the battle are reduced in size so that something like, say, steelix, would be around a foot tall, and something like pikachu would be around 4-5 inches. There is a 20% per round chance that Roy will look up from his work, notice the Pokemon, and attack them for 5% Fire-typed damage with his flame alchemy, and the chance is upped if an Earthquake attack is used to 50% chance that round. There is also a 25% chance that Edward Elric will come into the room and yell at Roy, effective as a Screech attack.


Round Seven: Begin!

Absolutely exhausted and figuring that it might be better to just sit back and, you know, not incur the wrath of the large scary man at the desk, Amp hits the floor with a muffled whump and closes her eyes in an attempt to relax. She doesn't especially care that the shimmering barrier floating around her has now faded away; one less thing to put strain on her, as far as she's concerned. But Doomsday, injured and stiff as she is, intends to make resting as difficult as she possibly can for her opponent. Her momentum keeps her rolling right along, even picks up speed as she skids across the wet floor, and she turns and rolls right over Amp with more power than before. The little yellow sheep squeals in agony as her tail and backside are ruthlessly run over by the determined Bidoof, who shows no signs of remorse and keeps on going.

Doomsday is coming back around for another, even more powerful strike, and Amp is getting sick of being mowed down like this. Her vision is swimming with fatigue and she's still sort of afraid of Roy, but all of this rollout nonsense simply has to stop. Loud popping and cracking noises fill the office as a massive amount of static electricity builds up in her wool yet again, and with a desperate shout she looses another wicked thunderbolt. The electricity runs rampant through the rolling Bidoof's body, and at last she seems to slow down. When Doomsday rolls into Amp's nose it is with no more force than a light tap, and the Bidoof uncurls and lays motionless on the ground, unconscious.

Jinkosen, this should be simple enough. Just get in really close and use Hydro Pump. Then use Hidden Power, so we can see what type it is. Finish with Return for some nice damage. If she protects, use Agility.

Round Eight: Begin!

Roy sighs and slumps a little in his chair, glad that this ridiculous midget mutant animal fight seems to be over with; the little brown one has been sucked back into its containing device, and the little yellowsheepy one doesn't appear to be in any shape to do any more damage to his office. At last, at long last, they're going to go away and let him work in peace...

Not. Much to the beleaguered general's dismay, a little blue penguinthing appears almost immediately after the brown thing vanishes, this one fresh, ready and raring to go. Amp blanches when she sees her new opponent; under normal circumstances she wouldn't be worried at all, but she's just so tired that she doesn't think she has the strength to deal with him. Aware of how exhausted his foe is, Jinkosen flashes her a confident little birdie sneer, puffs out his chest and lets loose with an extremely high-volume torrent of water. Amp closes her eyes and braces herself, expecting to be pummeled and soaked. The pain and the wetness never come, however; in his enthusiasm, Jinkosen accidentally directed his attack several inches to the right, instead causing the hydro pump to drum into the bookshelf behind the Mareep. Several books are tipped right off of the bottom shelf, and many of them are drenched and quite possibly ruined.

Roy hears what sounds like a tiny fire hose going off dangerously near his bookcase but takes a deep breath, shuts his eyes and refuses to look, assuring himself that all of this nonsense will simply go away if he just doesn't think about it.

Thanking her lucky stars, the tired Amp allows more static electricity to build up in her wool and then unleashes it, electrocuting the Piplup and wiping any last traces of smugness off of his beak. Jinkosen flops onto his back and stays there, twitching, for a few moments; Amp is glad that he can't see her sink down to her knees, fighting just to stay conscious. So tired...

In pain and highly embarrassed, Jinkosen picks himself up and glares evilly at the Mareep across the room. Move the room so that his attack misses, will she? Not this time! Small balls of whitish energy begin to circle around the Piplup's body, whirling around him faster and faster and steadily changing color from white to a pale green. With a shout he sends the little balls forward and they zoom through the air like BBs, pelting Amp's face and body. Amp tries to retaliate with one last thunderbolt, but she simply does not have the energy to pull it off. All she can manage is a pitifully weak jolt of electricity and a halfhearted crackle before she slumps forward and stops moving, completely drained.

Round Nine: Begin!

Realizing that it's too much to hope for the battle to be over when the sheepy finally collapses, Roy puts his fingers in his ears and hums loudly to himself. They'll go away if I ignore them, they'll go away if I ignore them...

The Treecko that Lord Shyguy chooses to take Amp's place is fit as a fiddle and convinced that he's more than a match for some flightless bird, however, and so it is not likely that he will go away anytime soon. Chaos wastes no time, forming a sphere of bright, leafy green energy between his hands almost immediately after his feet hit the wet floor. The ball of natural energy swells and pulses dangerously as Chaos shapes it, and he spins around and releases it in Jinkosen's direction. The Piplup has no time to move out of the way, and so the energy ball hits him head on; the raw life energy eats away at Jinkosen's feathers and singes the skin underneath. Shaking it off as quickly as he can and with no desire to be outdone, the Piplup opens his beak so that a small, bright blue light can be seen shining in it. The air temperature around him drops several degrees as the light continues to form, and the resulting ice beam that hits Chaos around the midriff is absolutely frigid. A very thin dusting of ice forms over the Treecko's red belly, and Chaos flinches and shivers violently.

A nasty, purplish slime dribbles from the corners of Chaos's mouth as he moves toward his foe; he doesn't look as though he's enjoying the taste at all and is apparently fighting the urge to vomit, but he marches forward all the same. Jinkosen eyes him warily and takes a few steps back--he doesn't want to be anywhere near the stupid lizard if it decides to barf all over this guy's office floor. Unfortunately for him, he doesn't have a say in the matter. Chaos walks right up to him and spews the purple mess all over Jinkosen's chest feathers. This, like the energy ball before it, burns horribly, but this time the pain does not go away. The powerful toxins burn his skin and start to seep through, entering the Piplup's bloodstream and causing him to feel quite ill. Scowling, Jinkosen turns as if to run away. Chaos is sure that the little penguin is going to dash off to a corner and cry about it, but instead of fleeing and hiding Jinkosen runs in a tight circle around his foe, stubby little legs and awkward flipper-feet going as fast as he can make them. When he stops, panting slightly, two other Piplup appear to be standing beside him.

Chaos shakes his head, telling himself that there's no reason for him to worry about the two extra Piplup. He'll get rid of all of them just the same. And why not start that by adjusting the conditions to better suit him? Chaos closes his eyes and whispers a silent prayer to the gods above, humbly asking them to chase away the clouds he can see through the window and intensify the sunlight that is shining down. As he mutters, the thick, pillowy clouds do indeed part, and the mighty, unblinking eye of the sun glares down. Chaos takes a deep breath and spreads his arms, expecting to be able to bask in the inviting heat... but the temperature inside the office, out of the direct sunlight, has only gone up by a few degrees. It isn't even enough to speed up the melting of the ice still coating his belly. Jinkosen yawns, unimpressed.

The light has a much more noticeable effect on Roy. Realizing that it suddenly seems to have gotten an awful lot lighter in here, his head snaps up--and, with his desk directly in front of the large windows, he gets an eyeful of intensely bright sunlight. Roy's hands fly up over his eyes and he shouts angrily, temporarily blinded. "You nasty little... rat... annoying... rat things!" he screams, turning around and pointing at the floor but unable to see either Jinkosen or Chaos clearly. "You did this! I know you did this!" Fire dances around his white-gloved fingertips and, snarling, he shoots it down at the floor at random. By sheer dumb luck, he manages to hit the very rat thing responsible. Chaos lets out a shriek as the flames hit his tail and hurries to roll around on the wet floor in an attempt to put himself out, but the damage is done; his tail is badly singed. Suddenly a lot more interested, Jinkosen and his clones point and laugh at the Treecko's misfortune.

They are not laughing for very long, however. Without warning the door slams open violently, and the giggling Piplup's ears are suddenly bombarded with angry screaming. "Mustang, you idiot! What the heck do you think you're doing?! Stop setting your damn office on fire and get back to work!" The door slams again and the sound of Edward stomping down the hallway can be heard quite clearly, each thump causing Jinkosen's ringing ears to throb. Chaos, who had been much too distracted by his own wailing to pay Ed much mind, sits up and snickers half-heartedly.

"It's not my fault!" Roy whines, taking a swipe at his desk with frustration. Several sheets of paper are flung to the ground, covering it further and potentially making it even more treacherous. Jinkosen pays this no mind; he doesn't have a lot of ground to cross to cover the distance between him and his opponent. He and his two clones run forward, heads lowered and beaks thrust out. Chaos has no time to get up and move away--Jinkosen is on him in seconds, digging at his scales with his sharp little beak and twisting and wrenching away for all he is worth. Chaos screeches yet again as he feels several painful cuts and welts open up on his chest and arms.

So, try and avoid his attacks as much as you can - at any time during the round, if he protects or detects, Double Team. Otherwise, attack from a distance with Ice Beam.

As soon as you can, use Agility to try and dodge the Ice Beam. Then try and use Giga Drain while he's distracted, and then finish up with Swift.

The Pokemon in the battle are reduced in size so that something like, say, steelix, would be around a foot tall, and something like pikachu would be around 4-5 inches. There is a 20% per round chance that Roy will look up from his work, notice the Pokemon, and attack them for 5% Fire-typed damage with his flame alchemy, and the chance is upped if an Earthquake attack is used to 50% chance that round. There is also a 25% chance that Edward Elric will come into the room and yell at Roy, effective as a Screech attack.


Round Ten: Begin!

Treading much more carefully now that he has known the wrath of Roy, Chaos watches Jinkosen closely and waits for him to make a move. Jinkosen frowns; he was expecting Chaos to act before now, and given the way his head hurts and his ears are still ringing he doesn't exactly want to sit around waiting for him all day. Another beam of blue energy shoots out of the Piplup's beak and straight at the Treecko; before he can land a hit, however, Chaos takes off at near-blinding speeds. He, like Jinkosen before him, runs laps around the office, but at a much faster clip. While he leaves no illusory copies behind, the sprint does, for the most part, leave Chaos feeling much more agile and limber than before. Unfortunately, however, his dash did take him through the path of Jinkosen's ice beam several times before the Piplup could stop the attack. Chaos finally skids to a stop, his arm, side and tail cold and stinging.

Shaking his icy limbs as best he can, Chaos turns again and runs, this time directly at Jinkosen and, luckily, bypassing the two clones completely. Mouth agape he jumps at his foe and bites down hard on one flipper; instead of draining blood, however, he sucks pure life force out of his opponent's limb. Jinkosen gasps and squirms, trying to pull free, but Chaos's hold is too strong. Rather than fight it any further, Jinkosen decides to remove the annoyance in a different manner--a point-blank ice beam to the face. Jinkosen aims another beam straight at the green head on his arm and scores a direct hit, which forces the Treecko to relinquish his grip and back away, screeching.

By some miracle or other Chaos has not yet been frozen by all of these repeated ice beams, and the Treecko doesn't know how much longer his luck will hold up. At least he can guarantee he'll have an easier time hitting Jinkosen from now on, as he doesn't really think he'll have much more luck guessing right with those clones around, either. His eyes flash and sparkle and, with a shout, he sprays a swarm of small, bright energy stars from his mouth. The stars speed all over the office, some of them peppering the real Jinkosen, quite a few tearing through his clones and destroying them, and one or two hitting Roy in the back of the hand, causing him to yelp and knock more papers to the floor in his surprise. Jinkosen looks around, dismayed; admittedly they hadn't been much help at all, but he still feels rather exposed without his two doppelgangers flanking him. Angry, the little penguin fires yet another ice beam at his impudent foe. Chaos wails as the cold, icy energy hits his side--he doesn't like the way this is going at all.

But Ice Beam isn't the only Ice move in our arsenal, Jinny! So get all up in his face and direct a Blizzard right at his eye area! While you're up close, immediately after you use that, throw out a Supersonic and get the hell out of there. Hopefully he'll be cold and confused, so use Aerial Ace to strike fast then run.

Round Eleven: Begin!

Hoping fervently that he isn't about to get hit with another ice beam, Chaos closes his eyes and concentrates. Little flecks of greenish energy begin to float in the air around him, stretching and warping themselves into the shape of sharp-edged leaves. The leaves shoot forward and slice into Jinkosen's soft, feathery body before the Piplup can react; they pepper him mercilessly and leave several small and thin but very painful cuts across his face, chest and flippers. Jinkosen winces and staggers back, but when he looks up again he is already preparing another attack. The temperature around the Piplup drops, much more severely than it does whenever he uses ice beam, and Jinkosen inhales as deeply as he can, his little frame puffed up to a much larger size. Chaos blanches; whatever this is it looks like it's going to be an awful lot worse than a thin little ice beam, and he doesn't have any time to do anything about it. A blast of frigid, sub-zero wind explodes out of Jinkosen's beak, little droplets from his internal water supply frozen into chunks of ice and snow that pelt the Treecko along with the arctic wind. A much thicker layer of frost forms over the front of Chaos's body, encrusting his face, arms and upper body with what amounts to a heavy, icy mask and straitjacket. The added weight and the constant battering of wind cause him to topple over backward; little bits of the ice on the edges chip off on impact, but the Treecko remains trapped and supine on the ground, his legs and tail flailing around helplessly in the air. Several of the puddles of water on the floor, left over from Jinkosen's Hydro Pump, ice over as well.

Muffled wailing can be heard from somewhere underneath Chaos's icy muzzle, and he redoubles his flailing in an attempt to stand up or do anything remotely useful at all. He can't pick himself up, however, and the little half-formed energy leaves around him peter out and die before they can assume the proper shape and velocity. Sighing with relief, Jinkosen takes the opportunity to catch his breath after that strenuous attack before letting loose with another one. The penguin screeches loudly and shrilly in an uncomfortably high pitch; while Roy cringes and puts his hands over his ears, cursing silently, Chaos is unable to hear much of anything with the thick sheet of ice over his face and ears and continues his thrashing unabated.

Chaos tries one more time, trying to remain calm and focus on getting back at Jinkosen. The little green energy leaves manifest themselves above the motionless Treecko and, thanks to his concentration, actually take the proper shape and dart forward. Since he can't see where Jinkosen is from his vulnerable and compromising position on the ground, however, the leaves whiz harmlessly by their target and scatter on the floor behind him. Jinkosen sneers and shakes his head; the next thing Chaos knows, Jinkosen has rushed at him as fast as he can and left a nasty, stinging cut across his tail. Jinkosen cannot stop himself right away, only coming to a halt when he slips on the ice patches and wet, slick paper on the floor and falls onto his bottom several feet behind Chaos. The Piplup stands up quickly and dusts himself off haughtily, resuming his sneer and making sure that the room at large knows that he meant to do that and it was actually a heck of a lot more dignified than it looked. And hey, at least he isn't frozen to the floor like some chumps he could name. Indeed, all Chaos has going for him at the moment is the fact that the bright sunlight streaming in from the large window is slowly starting to melt the ice covering him.

Even if you didn't intend to be dishonest, the edit you made changes the way the commands FMC already posted would work and is considered cheating. I've reffed the round using your previous commands as a result. Do not edit your attacks unnecessarily again; just accept that you overlooked something and move on. Consider yourself warned.

Round Twelve: Begin!

Chaos, still fighting against his thinning icy prison and still cold and painful as all get-out, is fairly certain that this battle is not going to end so well for him. He has to do something to stop Jinkosen and boost his own strength, and he has to do it quickly. The best course of action would probably be siphoning health away from the Piplup again, but that isn't going to be easy given the fact that he might as well be frozen to the floor. He thinks he might be able to manage it from a distance, however... Chaos concentrates with all his might, willing a little bit of Jinkosen's life force to slip out of his body and back into the Treecko. It takes a great deal of effort, and it doesn't have the same impact as the giga drain he pulled off when he could actually get a hold of his opponent, but it's something--Jinkosen winces and scowls as some of his vitality is sucked right out of him. He doesn't lift a flipper to stop it, though. Instead Jinkosen just sits down, bears the pain--that's getting much, much harder to do now, although he'd never admit it--and tries to shut everything out, opting to relax for a while instead of attacking. After all, it's not like Chaos is going anywhere.

More faint wisps of greenish light are sucked away from Jinkosen's body as Chaos fights for more energy. The ice covering his upper body is still unbearable, as is being unable to right himself or otherwise move, but as he absorbs his foe's life force he begins to feel just a little bit better. Jinkosen, on the other hand, is really starting to flag. He's sore, tired and really starting to lose his confidence. Letting a frozen lizard get the best of one could understandably be quite demoralizing, after all. Rather than just sit there and take it this time, though, the penguin chick begins inhaling sharply yet again, filling his lungs with as much air as his little body can possibly hold. From his unfortunate position, pinned to the ground, Chaos cannot see what is about to come his way; there is no doubt in his mind, however, that the intense blast of sub-zero wind and chunks of snow that hits his legs and tail is another powerful Blizzard attack. More ice freezes over the Treecko's lower body, covering it with a layer that isn't as thick as that on Chaos's upper body but still manages to render him completely immobile. Panic sets in as Chaos finds himself completely cocooned in ice, crushing and paralysing him and making him feel terribly claustrophobic. Jinkosen cannot see his opponent's expression of terror underneath all of the ice, but, weak as he is, he feels relatively satisfied. There's no way in hell that Chaos will be able to attack him now.

And Jinkosen is quite right. Chaos is simply too panicked to even try attacking, instead straining against his icy bonds to no avail. Jinkosen, his fatigue and malaise really starting to show now, doesn't waste a moment; he switches back to his old tactic and launches a thin beam of bright blue energy from his mouth. The ice beam doesn't quite have the desired effect--Chaos is already covered in so much ice that he barely feels the initial attack at all. The ice beam does pile extra layers of the cold stuff on top of him, however, thoroughly cementing the poor Grass-type in place and starting to press down and smother him. Chaos would moan with despair, but he can't get any sound out. At this point he wouldn't even mind getting hit by that big human's fireballs again. They'd help him thaw out much faster. But Roy, for once finally able to shut the two battling Pokémon out of his mind completely, simply continues to work. All Chaos knows is that the sunlight coming in through that big window can't shine down brightly enough.

-Chaos got lucky with his first two Giga Drains, but the last one failed due to his worsened condition. The damage was also reduced slightly because he wasn't attacking directly.
-Ice Beam's damage was sharply reduced by the fact that it wasn't able to hit Chaos directly at all; all of the ice building up on top of Chaos, however, is really starting to weigh down on him and is making his condition worse (about an extra 1-2% damage/action until it melts sufficiently).

The Pokemon in the battle are reduced in size so that something like, say, steelix, would be around a foot tall, and something like pikachu would be around 4-5 inches. There is a 20% per round chance that Roy will look up from his work, notice the Pokemon, and attack them for 5% Fire-typed damage with his flame alchemy, and the chance is upped if an Earthquake attack is used to 50% chance that round. There is also a 25% chance that Edward Elric will come into the room and yell at Roy, effective as a Screech attack.


Round Thirteen: Begin!

Struggle as he might, Chaos cannot get any of the ice surrounding him to budge or give, and its weight seems to be bearing down harder by the second. Yes, he's in pain, and yes, he's in danger and needs to do something about Jinkosen before Jinkosen does something about him, but the Treecko is beyond logical thinking at this point. He'd give anything, absolutely anything, to be able to move again, to breathe properly again, and so he continues to strain wildly against his bonds. If he managed to accomplish anything at all in those few seconds of increased struggling, it is immediately undone by another ice beam from the gasping but determined Piplup. More layers of ice form over Chaos's prison, and while the Treecko still cannot feel the attack itself he can certainly tell that his prison is becoming more and more uncomfortably close to a tomb.

Now completely unable to move, so cold that it hurts and barely able to think straight, Chaos finally stops trying to wriggle around in the growing mound of ice. As the last rays of the bright sunlight that might have been able to save him fade away (Roy sighs thankfully and rubs at his still stinging eyes), only Chaos's mind still racing around in panic, going wildly back and forth between what's going to happen to him, whether or not he's going to die, what he could have done, what Jinkosen's about to do... his thoughts continue to swirl together, faster and faster until they finally merge into blackness as one final ray of frigid blue energy sweeps over him. Chaos falls into merciful unconsciousness and is quickly called back into his Pokéball so he can be rushed off for emergency treatment.

Arena Status: A notebook and some crumpled balls of paper litter the floor, which is damp and slightly charred in a few places. Many sheets of paper are scattered around by the desk, making it near impossible to move around that area without sliding on them. The floor near the bookcase farthest from the door, specifically, is soaked and dotted with soggy, ruined books; several ice patches are scattered around, but they will probably melt soon... except for the large, central mound of ice containing Chaos, that is. The sun is shining brightly outside but is starting to dim.
