Open Fire Emblem: The Gaping Void

Lupine Volt

My name is...
Howdy y'all! I'm just here to start up my first RPG...*Gulps nervously*...Well, here we go.

The continent of Melinado is a peaceful place, where Laguz and Beorc live peacefully*Yes, I'm using Laguz here. Deal with It.* Legend says that it was watched over by the seven gods and goddesses. The Gluttonous sea God, the lusting goddess of lightning, the envious god of Darkness, the prideful goddess of light, the wrathful god of fire, the slothful god of earth, and the greedy god of wind. The 7 each had faults, but they worked together to shape the continent and create life in their image.

…However, soon, the force of chaos began to corrupt the people. War began, and the seven attributes of the deities began to infect the people. The seven discovered that the world was slowly being pulled towards the void, and, in order to save their creation, they sealed themselves away in the void. To do so, they sought the help of a female acolyte of the church, who forced the seven into the void with her magic powers. They each left her one gem each, the Sapphire, the Amethyst, the Sardonyx, the Topaz, the ruby, the emerald, and the opal.

The acolyte, on the last words of the gods, traversed the country and ordered that 7 temples be built in seven different locations. After that, on her blood, she sealed each gemstone away in the appropriate temple.

Anyways, the continent is divided into 8 countries.

Tyoble is ruled by Beorc king Numair Southeast border. Where our journey will begin. Known for its long history of tolerance of all life. A lot of forests, and scattered villages. The capital is Tardina, and it is of mixed races. It is home to the temple of the Slothful god, within the Romiene forest.

Rorna: Ruled by Queen Lynstrid, Northeast border. Slightly biased against all Laguz and Nomads. Getting better, though. The capital is Doward, and it is home to the Temple of the Lustful Goddess. Most of it is farm land. Very few Beorc

Merca, the nomad's country, bordering the northern sea. Home of the wandering tribes. Although…rumors spread amongst the villages say that there is another group within the gently rolling hills. It has no capital.

Badsudi, the nation of the beast laguz*Cats, Tigers, Lions* Pro Beorc nation. Grasslands and plains dominate the area, and the capital is Stahnfor. They pay tribute to the Wrathful fire god in his temple

Lupina, nation of the wolves, across the western sea. Doesn't really care that much about race. Heavily forested area, with the capital being Remna. They worship the envious god of darkness.

Dakora, nation of the birds, mountainous country in the center of the continent. Anti-Beorc for the most part. The capital, Bindara, is atop mount Cariona. They pay worship to the Greedy god of wind in his temple atop the tallest mountain, mount Formajor.

Y,Corso, along the southern sea, ruled by the emperor Achia. The northern part is a barren desert, while the south is relatively swampy. The capital is Sacreha, and it is home to the temple of the prideful goddess of light.

The Island of Rorcan is southeast of Melinado, and is home to the dragon tribes. No one has been there in over a hundred years, and lived to return…and, it is said in the scriptures that the temple to the gluttonous sea god rests there.

Anyways, in Tyoble, you are a member of a recently created band of mercenaries that takes on small jobs. While life now seems monotonous, things may eventually pick up...you never know what may happen.

You will be a mercenary, and, yes, you may be a wolf, beast, or bird Laguz if you like. For those of you who don't know, Laguz are people who can transform into animals at will, for short periods of time.

-Please use good grammar. That means no chat speak, use paragraphs, punctuation, and such.
-Be original. Don’t use characters from previous Fire Emblem games. You can base characters off of them, but put in differences.*Name, class, that sort of thing*
-Please, for the love of god, no Mary Sues/Marty Stus. Everyone has a weakness. Get over it.
-Make an effort to keep up with the RPG. I won’t kill off inactive members, but its common courtesy
-You may have a maximum of TWO characters. No more.

Now, for my signup form

Name: Tiravs
Gender: Male
Species: Beorc
Age: 25
Description: A thin, tall man with rusty red hair. He usually wears a blue tunic, boots, and his bow and quiver. He has blue-green eyes and an average tan. He isn’t very muscular, though.
Bio: Tiravs was raised in the village of Hoswar, near the Tyoble capital of Tardina. When he was eight, bandits invaded the villages, killings his parents. The royal knights captured said bandits, and Tiravs was adopted by their archery master, Angela, who had recently lost her own child. She taught him the ways of archery, and, even though he was offered her position of a royal knight’s archer, he returned to Hoswar at the age of 24 to set up a band of mercenaries that could quickly respond to bandit attacks and assist the village folk. He does, however, remain in contact with the royal knights of Tyoble, and has received a higher education than that of normal children.

Tiravs, despite the trauma of his past, is open and friendly outside of battle. He is willing to give anyone a chance to prove themselves, and has an easy going, humorous nature. However, when in battle, he hardens and becomes a commander, directing his units from higher ground while shooting enemies with his bow.
Class: Archer
Weapon: Bow.

A Fire Emblem Rp :D! But there is one problem... Merchants do promote! Merlinus! He goes from a tent to a wagon 'cause of promotion! Anyway, my character:

Name: Reventhas
Gender: Male
Species: Laguz
Age: 14
Description: Has long reddish brown hair, and a set of blackened leather pants. Wears a black cloak with small holes in it, from which his brown wings emerge. Hazel eyes.
Bio: Abandoned at birth by uncaring parents, Reventhas grew up under the care of a beorc swordsman that was travelling in the area. Because his laguz heritage made it difficult for him to wield weapons, his adopted father taught him unarmed combat, and what he knew of the laguz transformation skill. At the age of ten, his father was killed defending their town from a bandit raid, which forced Reventhas to become a wanderer. Leaving the village he was staying at, he travelled to Tyroble, where he entered a mercenary company to try to put the skills his father had taught him to use.
Personality: Calm
Class: Hawk
Weapon: Beak

EDIT: Okay...but can you put a little bit about your characters personality in there? Just a little bit is nessescary.

Name: Istvan
Gender: Male
Species: Beorc
Age: 23
Description: Somewhat tall, with an average build and has dirty blonde hair. He has green eyes and is on the pale side, and when travelling wears leather armor, and boots.
Bio: Istvan is a native of Tardina, born of noble blood. He had a comfortable life, and got well educated, but as a teen took up martial training, looking forward to a life of something other than the sitting and drinking his colleagues took up. He eventually joined the ranks of the Royal Knights, but left, mostly of his own will, when he was 21 to pursue something more. He is still in contact with the royal knights, but isn't on good terms with some.

Can I play personality out?
Class: Cavalier
Weapon: Lance

Well, all you really need to say with personality is the basic attributes. Happy, easygoing, cold, emo, stuffy, needy, obsessive compulsive...that sort of thing.

However, I do like that bio...so, you are ACCEPTED!

My second character('cause the rules say I can):
Name: Valneth Sorian
Gender: Male
Species: Beorc
Age: 19
Description: Has light brown short hair, and wears a specialized black tunic outfitted with multiple hidden pockets, and grey pants. Wears a light metal gauntlet on his right hand that hides an injury from his past.
Bio: The son of a succesful merchant in a far away island city, Valneth grew up relatively isolated from other children so he could study business. Then one night, he heard a noise in the darkness. Getting up to find the cause, he found his father's door open, which was unusual. Entering the room, he found his father's bloody corpse pinned to the wall on the end of a blood stained sword held by a giant knight, wearing black armour. Seeing Valneth, the knight broke into hideous laughter, tossing his father's body to Valneth's feet. The knight then started walking towards Valneth, continuing to laugh his merciless laughter. Picking Valneth up with a single hand, the knight drew a dagger and cut Valneth across the back of the hand in an X shaped pattern. He then threw Valneth out the window to the streets below, and set fire to Valneth's childhood home. Barely managing to retain his conciousness, Valneth watched as his childhood went up in smoke, and the knight rode away into the night. A short while later, he was picked up by a local thieves guild, that taught him how to steal for a living, and how to use a knife. It was in this way, that Valneth earned enough money to book a ship to another continent, to try to start a new life. This continent was Melinado, where he joined a company of mercenaries in Y Corso(I'm gonna say they were on assignment there, or something).
Personality: Quiet
Class: Thief
Weapon: Knife
If I can only have one character, could this character take my hawk's place?
Edit: I updated Reventhas's history, and added a personality this time.

...*Blink* Well, that was certainly much more detailed...just remember, the first part takes place in Tyoble, for the first few chapters.

However, I guess you are Accepted

Name: Repede

Gender:Male
Species:Laguz
Age:17
Description:(Wolf form) He has a jet black body, a gray neck, and a knick in his left ear. In his human form he has black hair, light blue eyes, he is about 6'5, is lighter skinned, and wears a black cloak with red trim. He still has the nick on his ear and the black tail.
Bio: Repede and his parents were on the way to Tyoble work as ambassadors, but His parents were killed by beorc when he was a "pup". He was adopted by a young traveling beorc merchant, and was the first beorc who treated him with kindness. The merchant, Kendreth, was killed by bandits while in Tyoble, so he decided to take up the mercenary work to get revenge. To this day, he still searches for the bandits who killed his surrogate father.

He is a very cold and unemotional Laguz who rarely trusts a beorc, and he has taken this job only to be able to afford the trip back to Lupina. He is merciless in battle, and has a no nonsense attitude. He does, however, have a strong affinity to nature.
Class:Wolf Laguz
Weapon:Claws and Fangs

Name: Kevon
Gender: Male
Species: Beorc
Age: 15
Description: Kevon is average height, at about 5' 5". He is not very muscular, but slender and dexterous. His hair is a shade of red orange, with a messy hairstyle that stays down. His face bears slight acne. Kevon's skin is a tan shade, slightly tanned. His eyes are a light green. Usually he wears his brown coat, with quite a few pockets, and dark green pants, although he has a light outfit as well.
Bio: Kevon is a friendly, supportive person and wants to be helpful and not a burden. However, he is quite sensitive and mentally weak. (like a male, not as cryish version of Neimi.) Also, he constantly bears guilt of his father's death. Still, he bears a happy demeanor and atmosphere.

Kevon grew up in a seaside town, also next to a dense, dark forest. While his mother was a bishop, his father was a skilled sniper. Kevon and his father enjoyed going hunting in the woods. His father taught him to hunt and to use a bow. However, one dark, cloudy day in the woods when he was thirteen, fog came and Kevon wandered far away from his father. Lost, he was frightened and didn't know what to do. Hearing the scream of a bear, Kevon ran to the sound into a part of the dark forest. Pushing through bushes and branches, he saw the horrible, traumatizing sight of his dead father.

Class: Archer
Weapon: Bow
Other: Kevon plans to be a ranger if he is promoted - meaning he can use swords and rides on a horse.

Fire Emblem RPG? This is the first time I've seen a real one..

Name: Rukas
Gender: Male
Species: Beorc
Age: 17
Description: Rukas usually walks around with a long black robe, with sleeves that go way past his hand. He lost his left hand [look at history] and attaches his other weapon, a knife [still training] to his stub. His right hand, under the sleeve, holds a staff for his magic. He has long blue [that's right, blue] hair that tends to hang in front of his eyes as he walks with his head down most of the time, but when he does lift his head up he has frightening yellow eyes. He's very lightly built and not that athletic, so he sometimes hitches rides on Argyram [see char 2]

Bio: Rukas lost his hand when he first got in a fight with a Wolf laguz, but instead of increasing his hate and fear of laguz it strengthened his respect for them [but he does get a mini-heart attack when he sees one] He left his home of Rorna after living in a district full of more-extreme laguz haters for ten years. Since then he has started to hone his dark-magic skills after his traveling friend Argyram [other char] sensed the dark magic in him.

Class: Druid
Weapon: Staff and Knife [still training]

Char 2, as there doesn't seem to be a lot of people around.

Name: Argyram
Gender: Male
Species: Laguz - Tiger
Age: Unknown, estimated to be around 15
Description: As a Tiger laguz he has the typical tiger stripes, etc. but his fur is a silvery-white colour. His eyes are a deep blue. He is more heavily-built and therefore is able to carry Rukas around. He is able to stay in his Tiger forme a lot longer than other Laguz as a result of hard training, and prefers to be in Tiger forme. His human forme is very rarely seen even by Rukas, but he has very pale white skin and the signature Tiger tail. He still has his fangs, which tends to frighten people, and instead of feet he has paws, so he has no need for shoes. He wears a blue robe and loose tan clothes.

Bio: When Argyram was young his parents [who also had the silvery fur] were killed for their fur. Enraged, he attacked the merchant/hunter in his Tiger forme, but he was captured and sold to someplace in Rorna as a servant. He escaped after what he guessed was 5 years [he lost track of time] and met Rukas when he protected him from his master's wolf laguz [the one who bit off Rukas' hand] They escaped/traveled together to Tyroble to train and become stronger.

Class: Laguz - Tiger
Weapon: Um.. claws and fangs~

...We really need more women. However, I do like what I'm seeing here. Although...Crowned Clown, I don't want anyone to start out promoted, so Rukas would have to start out as a druid. However, I'm willing to bend and let him keep the knife.

If you'll be willing to make that change...

Seritinajii- Accepted
Crowned Clown-Accepted

:O NO! No. ...no... Don't let Jeigan's succesor(Marcus, Seth, Titania) appear in an Rp... Especially if it's an Rp... RPs like this wouldn't factor in the weakness that pre-promotes are destined to have... And since it's an RP, he'll be able to kill all the enemies, and steal the weak player's Exp so they don't get better like they're supposed to, and urg... I don't like pre-promotes... Besides, in the long run, he'd get much stronger by starting as a shaman...

Edit: Btw... since there's a nomad country in this Rp, wouldn't it make it easier on Seritinajii(wanting to become a ranger and all) if you made the nomad class re-surface?

You mixed up shaman and druid. Shaman is the first class in that line, going into druid and(though they might have changed this in RD) then into Dark Druid(Nergal). If you were confused by my last post, that's why. And you don't have pirates on the class list(sorry if I'm being annoying, but berserkers ate armies on 7)

Edit: The class description for Druid is also wrong... they had nothing to do with the church. Ever(yes, I know it's an RP, and you actually could have them working for the church but... they haven't in any Fire Emblem I've played).

Ooc: You know what? We're just going to start the RPG right now. But it will still be open at all times to anyone who wishes to join. First, we'll do a little warm up, before getting into our first battle.

The fort of the Howar mercenaries was relatively peaceful as the day lazilly passed by. Birds twittered, a dog barked, and Tiravs, leader of the Hoswar mercenaries, was sitting on top of one of the small cottages that made up the mercenaries area. Laying on the straw thatched roof, he was randomly twanging his bow string, enjoying the peace and quiet.

(*Sigh* I was waiting for this to start...)
Reventhas sat on the high branches of one of the trees near the fort, carving a small piece of wood and humming a tune to himself.
---
Valneth was inside one of the small houses in the fort, silently staring at the ceiling. As he lay in the darkness, he thought of his past and childhood memories, and removed his gauntlet, staring at the X-shaped scar that refused to fade.
