Kindling Queen Vs. ライチュウ

Sylph

Take me to Wonderland
1 vs. 1
Single
DQ: 1 week (unless notified)
Damage Cap: none
Banned Moves: OHKO's, Earthquake, Surf, and mud based moves due to the arena and Direct Healing moves ex: Synthesis, Aqua Ring, etc.
Arena: Voldo's Money Pit
A platform with gold scattered about the floor of floral and crucificial designs. There is a roughly about 2000 gold coins in hills and multiple ones all over the floor. During an action, a Pokemon is allowed to "Collect" and this raises the amount of money earned after the battle. The platform is disconnected from the rest of the stairways and only the long sides of the platform have cemented railings. The ends the trainers stand on has no railings and if a Pokemon happens to get knocked off of the platform, it loses 25% health. The rails on the longer ends can be broken as well and may serve as the shorter ends do too. It's lighting is dim and there appears to be someone watching you.

Gold: Serves as places to dig but cannot serve as a tunnel, just a temporary hideout.
"Collect": A Pokemon can use it twice per round and drops the money by the reff where baskets lay for each trainer
^A Pokemon can collect from 5 to 20 coins
5->Opposing Pokemons attack accuracy is raised by 1
10->Opposing Pokemons attack accuracy is raised by 2
15->Opposing Pokemons attack accuracy is raised by 3
20->Opposing Pokemons attack accuracy is 100%
(This is all due to the Pokemon who is collecting, being much slower so that the gold collected is safe and sound.)
*For every 5 coins is +10 on the total money recieved after the battle. So divide total of gold by 5 and add it to regular earnnings.*
NOTE: Victor of the battle can choose which basket to take (Most likely will take losers money if loser collected more)

Railings: Both have 15% health each meaning that if either one reaches 15% damage or more, it will fall off.

Open Gaps: Falling through one is -25% health

Kindling Queen:

[Kodomo] Poliwag (Male)

[Molosse] Houndour (Male)

Alright, I'm going to flip the coin *flip*

ライチュウ Sends out first
Kindling Queen Sends out and attacks
ライチュウ Attacks

Okay Charmander! Let's give it all we got and start with Dynamic Punch. Then follow up with Aerial Ace and continue running once it hits till you are behind Kodomo. This should guarantee your attack to take action first since he isn't capable of protecting with an immediate attack so go ahead with Ancient Power to try raising your stats.

If he pulls any offensive Water moves during the battle, automatically switch to Metal Claw to slice through it if it is minor (ex: Bubble, Water Gun, Water Pulse) but switch to Fire Blast if it is massive (ex: Surf, Hydro Pump) since your Attack and Sp. Attack stat will allow your move to overpower his. Do not use Fire Blast more than twice. (meaning resume original command if massive water move is used 3 times making Charmander's 3rd action an original command)

Dynamic Punch/Metal Claw/Fire Blast~Aerial Ace/Metal Claw/Fire Blast~Ancient Power/Metal Claw/Fire Blast

Alright, Kodomo, let's put that Charmander in his place! It looks like he thinks he has all of your actions covered on the spot, but let's see what he can do when you use Hypnosis. After that, use Rain Dance. Getting yourself an advantage can't hurt, right? Assuming the Charmander is still asleep, let's use Hydro Pump. If he's woken up or avoided the Hypnosis when you used it, use Mud Bomb instead.

Hypnosis ~ Rain Dance ~ Hydro Pump/Mud Bomb

Pre Battle:

Silence hangs in the air, the only thing that can be seen in this arena is the glittering coins that litter the ground and the railing that serve as a way to keep people and pokemon from falling to a most likely painful death.

The Ref sighs, checking her watch to see what the time was. She glances over at the money and resists the urge to take a few coins, her wallet light from Christmas shopping. She then turns to the doors where two trainers walk through, each taking a side of the arena.. A quick flip of the coin and it was decided that Raichu would send out first, thus making it that Kindling Queen would make the first attacks.

Twin beams of light reveal the two pokemon within the poke’balls, A red lizard with a tail on fire standing in east arena and a over sized tadpole with a belly swirl standing in the west arena. Both trainers call out their commands, thus the battle begun.

~Round One~

The battle begins when both pokemon take the arena, both locking eyes with each other to try to psych each other out. Kodomo hides a knowing grin when their gazes locked.

The Poliwag’s eyes start to glow a eerie red color, sending waves toward the foolish Charmander that thought it had a chance against him. Eyes locked, he counts down to when the waves would enter the stupid lizard’s mind and send her to lala land.

Three…two…o- -?!

Then the unthinkable happened. The Charmander looked away from the gaze and started eyeing the shiny round objects on the floor. Komodo curses under his breath, cursing his luck and the god that is that controls the outcomes of this battle. While he muttered and pouted over his luck, Charmander took this chance to follow her first command. She makes her way toward the Poliwag, tucking her left arm in as she went. Before Komodo could react in time, he was met with the full force of her punch in his swirled belly, knocking the wind out of him and leaving him disorientated. Charmander jumps back from her opponent and readies herself of the next attack, a triumphant grin on her face.

Kodomo picks himself off the ground and growls at the three Charmanders in front of him. He shakes himself and squeezes his eyes tight, trying to clear his vision. He opens his eyes and is relieved that there is only one Charmander in front of him, though a bit on the slanted side.

Well, that didn’t matter, His orders didn’t require him to his her anyway. He starts to hop around the arena, spinning in the air and nearly fall over a few times. Charmander watches him spin and hop, clapping a bit at the performance when something dripped on her hand.

There was water falling from the sky.

Charmander lets out a small scream, grabbing her tail and holding it tight so the flame on it won’t be put out by the sudden rainfall. She shivers as the cold water rolls down her back, seeping into her skin. She looks over at the Poliwag and glares, knowing that he caused this horrible rain. She lets out a growl and charges him, rushing toward him at a speed that was beyond that of a land animal. Before Kodomo even at a chance to let out a yelp, he was once again tackled to the ground by the Charmander, a sharp pain in his side. Charmander hopped back from Kodomo, taking a fighting stance and waits for the next round.

Kodomo picks himself up and shiver a bit from the blow, still not sure how the Charmander was able to move so fast. He shakes himself off and waits for his next command eagerly.

When it came, he gaped at his trainer.

Mud Bomb? Mud Bomb?! Was his trainer crazy, or didn’t see the banned moves of this battle? The arena was not made of dirt, but stone. Cold hard stone that couldn’t produce any mud of any sort. Komodo, now unsure what to do this time around turns back to look at the Charmander. What he saw made him gasp.

Surrounding the Charmander were rock engulfed in blue flames, floating in the air around her. Charmander just grinned a fierce grin, her pearly fangs glowing in the fire’s light. She raised her arm, the rocks following the movement, then pushed her hand out a if throwing a ball. The fire engulfed rocks hurl toward Kodomo, crashing into him with their full force.

Kodomo laid on the ground for a few moments, dazed from the blows he has received in this round. As he slowly picks himself up, one thought crossed his mind.

The Charmander is going to pay.

Alright, Kodomo, we're still in this. First, I want you to attempt Hypnosis again. If we can get the Charmander asleep, we'll have a major advantage. After that, use Bubblebeam to weaken him down. Then we'll play the trump card, Hydro Pump! Just remember to use it as we planned, with you running around the arena at the same time as you're using that attack.

Hypnosis ~ Bubblebeam ~ Hydro Pump

Okay then, Charmander. Time to play hard! Divert your eye contact to the coins that I know you so dearly love to avoid sleep and then use Bide! Stand strong my love and let it all out after Hydro Pump hits you hard. Now if my calculations are correct-this oughtta bring Kodomo down to the brink of death...^.<

Round Two~

Kodomo growls under his breath, his vision slanting to the side. He screws his eyes up and tries to see straight, failing horribly. Then, a thought struck him like a thunderbolt. If I get closer, I can see the Charmander better. Kodomo then starts to walk in the direction of the Charmander, his pace getting faster and faster until he was running. Just when he believed he was close enough , though, he stepped on a pile of coins and slips.

Drat.

Charmander giggles at the Poliwag flopping on the ground. She then hears Kindling Queen’s voice and bunkers down on the floor and holds her tail to her chest, curling into a small little ball. She shivers again when she feels the cold rain roll down her back.

Kodomo gets back to his feet and lets out a yell, glaring at the orange ball before him. He didn’t know why she was curled up, nor did he care. He only cared about getting his revenge in the most painful way possible. He takes a deep breath and starts to create foam in the mouth, giving him a rabid look. Soon, the foam he created bursts from his mouth in a jet of bubbles, hitting the Char-Ball head on. Charmander whimpers, glad that she tucked her tail close to her chest before curling up. She shivers from the water rolling down her back. Strangely, a faint red light pulses off of her, making her orange skin glow red.

Kodomo doesn’t take much notice in the glowing Charmander but focuses on his next attack. He takes another deep breath, but instead of bubbles, a jet of water rockets out of his mouth towards the Charmander, causing the ball the skid on the slippery surface of the platform. Kodomo hops a bit, happy at his latest attacks.

It was then that the pulsing red glow of the Charmander grew brighter.

Charmander uncurls, enveloped in the red glow, a look of pain on her face. She spreads her arms out wide, releasing the collective pain of her injuries into a wave of red energy with double the strength toward the one that cause her such pain.

Kodomo didn’t have time to scream. It was too late. He was blasted with the pulse of red energy and fell to the ground with a thud. After moments passed, the Ref walks into the arena and chesks the condition of the Poliwag. After a brief examination, the Ref clears her throat.

“Kodomo can no longer battle, Win goes to Charmander and Kindling Queen”
