Nah, surskitty basically said she wasn't going to harass herself over it. So I think you will be fine, though a little originality wouldn't hurt.

Thanks for joining. I am planning on making it more original, I just wanted to see how it goes first. If all goes well, the next contest will be a Christmas/Winter contest.

EDIT: Surskitty didn't want to be bothered. So no, as long as the board isn't too cluttered, you don't have to ask permission to make a contest.
