Due to the power of the Tower, there is a sudden power surge that strikes the field every other turn, with a power of 5-10%. This also negates any weather moves and turns them into thunderstorms, increasing the likelihood of a flurry of thunderbolts to 70% chance of striking up to 5 times every turn.
Okay, so by "turn" you mean "round," correct?

2. Grimdour attacks.

Sorry about the profile link.

I choose Gnar and Purr!

Gnar, first start off with a simple Shadow Sneak against Storm. He may look intimidating, but he's actually just an ordinary Pokemon under that mask. Follow up with two Will-O-Wisps, one at Venom and one at Storm. If at any time your target protects, use Double Team if it's the first round, or just Chill.

Purr, you have a much easier job. Just spam Earthquake the entire round.

Purr: Earthquake x3

Edit: D'oh, forgot about the sig attribute.
Gnar the Duskull (M)
Ability: Levitate
Signature Attribute: Gamma Ray Corruption

You might think that a creepy lava monster laying eggs at a nuclear dump site would not be the best of ideas, but with predator boons and lake expansions in the Hoenn reigon, mothering Magcargo had no choice but to make do with what they could. Thankfully for the small herd (if that's the term to use for a group of Magcargo), no Slugma exhibited odd traits at birth, such as limbs or unusual ailments.

Now, you may be wondering what a baby Slugma might have to do with my Gnar. Well, it just so happens that a trainer caught and raised this Slugma, enticing it with visions of fame and glory, Hoenn League Champion dreams. So, naturally, a lot of training ensued.

One day, as a Magcargo, this particular trainer came across a wild Dusclops, and ordered his now-faithful servant to use a Flamethrower. But the Magcargo did something no one could have seen: It unleashed a compressed burst of gamma ray energy at the Dusclops, KOing it on the spot and nearly claiming its (semi-nonexistent) life. And, immediately sensing its own...ill fate, the Magcargo ran away from the life of grandeur to comfort the Dusclops. Then, something unexpected (but cliche) happened: The two fell in love.

The child was, of course, my Duskull. But it came imbued with a little slice of the energy that was that Magcargo's power. But, with the proper diet and excersize (and a little willingness to utterly destroy others with radiation poisoning), Gnar is perfectly content, and so am I!

Effects: Gnar is imbued with some (incredibly high-frequency) gamma ray energy, so any contact attack Gnar uses has a 5% chance of badly poisoning the target. Contact attacks used against Gnar have a 5% chance of badly poisoning the attacker. However, if a projectile attack is used against Gnar, there is a 5% chance that it will scramble some gamma particles and cause mild burning for Gnar. The gamma ray particles bouncing around inside him cause him to get jumpy. However, the move Substitute costs an extra 3% energy, because he can't concentrate as effectively to use it. Finally, if Gnar uses a recovery move of any sort (direct or indirect, including Chills), the gamma particles interfere with the healing process and deal him 1% damage

Venom, use Acid on Gnar, then follow up with Sand Attack, then another one to Purr.

Storm, use Thunder Wave, then use it again if it misses. If not, use Leer then Spark.

That one's directed at you, Grimdour.

Also, I'd like to ask whether this "normal-type magnitude" you mentioned in relation to electric-type attacks affects all pokémon on the field, including the user of that attack, or all pokémon besides the user. (You also have to realize that when you say "similar to" it's going to be reffed as "exactly the same as," so if that wasn't your intention, last chance to change it.)

Edit: And just what's the arena actually made out of?

Yes, by turn I mean round, and all Pokemon are affected by Magnitude, though no weaknesses or strengths apply.

Oh, and the floor's made out of steel. Sorry about that.

Wait, every type? Meaning Gnar, who is immune to Normal and has Levitate so is immune to Ground, is affected by this?

The Tesla Power Field is usually a remote, deserted place, nothing but the hum of the energy pylons at its four corners to break the silence of the lonely, floating steel platform. Today, though, the field has a visitor in the form of Grimdour the Desecrator, who seems oddly at home beneath the perpetually stormy sky. Who he expects to meet at such a remote locale is unclear, but his manner is unconcerned. He tosses a pokéball to himself as he watches the clouds tumble across the lightning-rent sky overhead.

At last a dark shape appears overhead. It draws nearer, circling down over the arena and resolving itself into an aerodactyl with a rider on its back and another human clutched in its claws. As the toothy pokémon swoops down over the arena, it dumps MurrMurr into the arena and then circles up again, tipping deftly to avoid a sparking pylon. MurrMurr recovers from the shock of being dropped onto the steel floor and slowly gets to his feet. "All right, everybody ready to go?" the referee calls from above. "Pokémon, people, let's get rolling."

Grimdour is quite prepared to release his battlers, having only two of them to call on. Storm the shinx and Venom the ekans take shape on the featureless steel platform. The shinx looks up in wonderment at the glowing pylons and flashing lightning; he can feel the electricity in the atmosphere, and, naturally, finds it extremely agreeable. Venom seems less enthused, but the snake's expression is difficult to read.

MurrMurr considers the pokémon before him for a moment, then reaches for two pokéballs of his own. The bursts of light they release settle into the shape of a duskull and a gible. The ghost's eyes glow sullenly as they run over his opponents and the strange surroundings. Meanwhile, Purr slavers and grumbles in what can only be anticipation of battle. Overhead, the referee calls out, "Okay, then. Battle commence!" Meanwhile, her aerodactyl considers watches the tasty-looking little pokémon below with unwarranted attention.

Storm puffs out his chest and hisses, eyes glittering yellow as he stares down the pokémon across the field. Though small, the shinx is able to put on quite a show, enough of one to make his opponents think twice about attacking. Purr stops slobbering for a moment, blinking at Storm with a sort of dazed look in his beady eyes, and even Gnar's restless single eye pauses, fixed on the shinx. Nevertheless, and much to the surprise of his opponents, the lethargic-looking Gnar is the first to move. The ghost melts into his own shadow, then sweeps across the arena as a smear of darkness. Storm tries to keep the ghost in his sights, but Gnar slips around him and reappears, slamming his ghostly hands into the shinx's flank. The duskull slips back towards his partner before the dazed can properly retaliate--but this only brings him into the line of fire so far as Venom is concerned.

Venom rears up, yellow eyes trained on his opponents as foul chemicals far down in his intestines swirl and combine, forming a noxious mixture. The snake lets out a warning gurgle, then opens his mouth wide, spewing a wave of noxious purple liquid all over his opponents. Purr growls and leans away, stubby arms flailing in a futile attempt to shield himself from the stinging goop. Gnar remains silent, shaking himself slightly to dislodge the gobbets of acid that have settled on his gaseous body.

Storm bristles, electricity rippling through his short coat. Training disapproving eyes on Purr, the shinx lets a thunder wave rip, a crackling thread of electricity streaking through the air and striking the gible dead-on. Purr doesn't appear to notice, continuing to wipe slime off himself in a bemused fashion.

As Storm continues to stare, unable to figure out why his thunder wave was ineffective, the gible evidently loses interest in cleaning the acid off his body and gets on with an attack of his own. The gible makes what is a surprisingly large leap for a creature with legs as short as his, then lands heavily, arms spread to the side and a look of concentration on his face. Tremors ripple out from the point of contact between the gible's feet and the floor. Gnar, who is presently hovering back to float by his partner's side, doesn't notice a thing, but both Storm and Venom feel the earthquake acutely.

At first they are only rattled, the earthquake rumbling through the steel floor and causing Storm to stagger. The attack only gets worse, though, the heaving and trembling of the floor growing bad enough to actually knock the shinx off his feet and bounce Venom up and down along the floor. The mighty tremors storm through the arena for several seconds more, and when they subside both Storm and venom are left bruised and shaken, overwhelmed by the mighty quake.

Storm is the first to recover, pulling himself back to his feet with an unhappy grunt. At this point, though, his injuries only serve to fuel his fury, and he turns wrathful eyes on his opponents. Once more they spark with unnatural golden light, and the shinx's fur stands on end, hissing and crackling with electrical charge. It is an impressive display, and again the shinx manages to get both his foes' wary attention. Gnar even blanches, hoping that those sparks aren't meant for him.

With Storm's leer buying him time, Venom is able to get down to an attack of his own. There are two very serious issues with his command, though--first, that there's no sand or loose material of any sort for him to use for his attack, and the second, well... he doesn't know how to use a sand-attack. The general idea of it sounds easy enough, but obviously there's something he must be missing; there's no sand here! He hasn't learned how to create it out of nothing, and if that's the trick of the attack, then he's utterly at a loss. He scrapes his tail against the floor a couple of times in a hopeful sort of way, but it's no good.

The ekans' mood isn't improved when Purr, freed of Storm's hypnotizing glare, goes in for another attack. The gible heaves himself into the air again and lands to generate another tremor. This one is no less terrible than the first, and the ekans finds himself being thrown around, in danger of colliding with his own partner as the floor goes crazy beneath him. Both shinx and snake ride out another unpleasant seismic event and then lie where they've fallen, dispirited and in pain.

Meanwhile, Gnar has recovered from his moment of weakness, with the earthquake attack from Purr instilling him with new confidence. Holding the wispy tendrils that pass as hands up before his face, he swirls them through the air, glaring daggers with his ruddy eyes. In the space between his tendrils a red spark forms, growing larger as he pours more and more energy into it. Weird red-purple flame flickers before the duskull's face as the will-o-wisp takes shape, and once it has reached the size of a small orange, he pulls his tendrils back, releasing the attack.

The will-o-wisp darts and wobbles through the air, moving on an erratic path towards Gnar's downed opponents. It dances dangerously close to Venom's face--but the snake pulls back and the will-o-wisp shoots right past him, extinguishing itself harmlessly against the steel floor. Gnar hisses, enraged, and balls his tendrils into fists--he can't believe his luck!

Meanwhile, Storm has gotten to his feet and is preparing for his next attack. He's not going to let this round be a waste; the gloves are off! The shinx begins powering up for an earnest electrical assault, fur humming with discharge and his muscles tensed for a quick charge. The very arena comes to his aid, the electricity flowing through the pylons around the arena responding to the shinx's preparations by sending lancing tendrils of power down to strike him. The shinx grins as the pylons' energy flows through him, invigorating him--this is gonna be good! With a snarl, he leaps forward into a quick run, then slams himself bodily into Purr.

The snarl of the spark attack discharging is rapidly drowned out as the pylons go mad, the burst of electrical power having destabilized their control systems. Lightning roars through the air overhead, prompting a swift protect attack from the referee's mount, and the arena trembles in the throes of another quake. This time, all of the pokémon suffer, though--even Gnar. The floating ghost is torn at by random discharges of electricity that shiver through the air, immune to the tremors caused by the discharge but not going unscathed.

When at last things calm down a bit, Purr pulls himself away from Storm, growling at the shinx, and proceeds to plunge everything into shaking chaos again. His already-battered opponents are once more thrown around, at the mercy of the arena's convulsions. When at last the tremors die down, Venom and Storm don't even try to get up; they are bruised and bleeding, downcast and dispirited. Venom, who has once more been given the command to use sand-attack, can only turn a pleading look upon his trainer. Unfortunately, the ekans still doesn't know how to make use of that particular attack.

Gnar is only too happy to add to his opponents' misery. The ghost is cooking up another will-o-wisp, his tendrils sweeping back and forth through the air again as he calls upon the fire. This time, when the red and purple clot of flame goes dancing through the air, Storm's struggles to get out of its way prove futile. The weakened shinx is an excellent target for the slow-moving attack, and the will-o-wisp collides with one of his paws, searing away fur and leaving a painful burn behind on the skin beneath.

Right, Venom, use Acid, then Stockpile so you can swallow. For Storm, use Protect, Leer then Spark at Gnar.

Gnar, play the role of the defense today. Your commands are simple: Taunt that Ekans so he can't heal. Then, you should be able to use Helping Hand, but if that doesn't ring a bell, than just go for the Will-O-Wisp. If you used Will-O-Wisp and it missed, use it again, but if it hit or if you used Helping Hand, use Double Team (1 clone only).

Purr, just Chill to begin with. You will be covered in slop, but don't let it tarnish your pride! Then, go for the kill again. Moar Earthquake yay.

Storm, who had been licking his burnt paw, reluctantly puts the injured appendage back on the floor and braces himself, facing both of his opponents down. He's ready for anything now--not even another earthquake will be able to shake him. His partner, too, is inching towards recovery. Venom shudders, slowly raising himself from the fractured floor and fixing yellow eyes on his opponent. A gurgle escapes the battered snake's mouth as he gags, thin body arching as he forces toxins up into his mouth. Both Purr and Gnar know what's coming next, but though they do their best to shield themselves, there's little that can be done to reduce the vileness of having viscous acid splattered all over their bodies. Purr tries to wipe some of the burning slime from his scales, but makes little headway. At last, glowering, he seats himself on the metal tiles and does his best to relax, despite the fact that he's quite sure his skin is melting.

Gnar is similarly slimed, but he at least has the satisfaction of an opportunity for revenge. Flicking a gobbet of acid from the tip of one of his tendrils, the ghost turns his eye on Venom and gives a haunting chuckle. Is that really it? The snake can't do any better than that? Clearly not. It's rather difficult for Gnar to make obscene gestures without any digits, but he makes his best approximation, tossing inflammatory statements at Venom until the ekans can take it no longer and yells for the ghost to shut up. The slow, deliberate curling of the duskull's tendril can mean only one thing: if Venom wants Gnar to be quiet, he's going to have to go over there and make the ghost shut up. Meanwhile, Storm relaxes, a bit miffed that no one even bothered to test his defense.

Letting out an explosive hiss to get the other pokémon's attention, the the shinx lets his eyes flare golden, sparks dancing around his body as he glares at his opponents with a surprising degree of command. Both Purr and Gnar are transfixed; the ghost shudders a bit--he might be dead, but the look on the shinx's face is just creepy.

Although Gnar has been distracted by the leer, Venom is still spitting mad. The ekans hisses to himself and lashes his tail against the tiles, struggling to reconcile his trainer's command with his burning hatred of the duskull. He doesn't want to go against orders, but he's not going to just sit around and let that smug duskull have the last laugh.

Gnar doesn't intend to give the ekans time to make up his mind; as Storm returns to normal, the duskull shakes himself out of his fearful trance, remembering his own command. Bringing his tendrils together with wet slapping noises--they are, after all, still slimed with acid--and letting out a hollow cheer, he eggs his teammate on. It's time for Purr to get up and fight! In truth, the duskull's display of team spirit is more eerie than uplifting, but it has the desired effect. Purr struggles back to his feet, a toothy grin spreading across his face. All right! It's time to do some damage! Once more the dragon jumps into the air, even higher than before, and lands with a reverberating crash. Eager to impress his teammate, the gible puts even more energy into the attack than he ordinarily would, and his opponents feel it, unfortunately, as they are hurled around by the spasming floor.

Somewhat surprisingly, Venom practically leaps up as the last tremors die away, absolutely enraged despite his deplorable physical condition. This is partially due to the fact that an early tremor threw him against a pylon, which he could wrap his body around in order to avoid the worst jouncing of the quake, and partially because he's angrier than ever at Gnar. Screw the orders! That ghost is going to pay!

Gnar recoils as the snake makes a great leap at him, mouth wide and fangs dripping poison. The snake thrashes and snaps, tearing into his ghostly foe with all he's got. Gnar's immaterial nature saves him from the worst of the damage, but the snake's poison-charged fangs do sting a bit. He floats away from the frenzied snake, but Venom, who is much faster, follows dauntlessly, harrying Gnar without a care for his own safety.

Storm is much less quick to regain his feet. The shinx moves gingerly, favoring his burned paw heavily as he turns tired eyes on Purr. He doesn't have much time left, but if he can just manage to get off a good attack against the gible, he'll be redeemed just slightly. He's got to give it everything he has. Building charge in his fur, the shinx feels a reassuring rush of power as the pylons feed into his electrical field, amplifying his spark attack and lifting his spirits. He can do this! Letting out a brave howl, the shinx charges, bowling Purr over in a roar of electrical discharge. Once more, the gible is hardly bothered by the attack, but the arena's response is less easy to weather. Once more the hiss of electricity fills the air as lightning bolts leap from pylon to pylon, the charged air alive with tension as the floor trembles. Loud cracks rend the air as several tiles fracture straight through, creating treacherous areas held together by no more than hope. The pokémon are thrown in all directions, Gnar separated from Venom and Storm tossed away from Purr. Once more, even Gnar suffers, ghostly body swirling and twisting as energy currents pull it in all directions, causing the ghost to wail and moan with pain.

Purr is the first to recover from the attack, and the trembling has barely died down before he leaps into the air and slams his weight into the floor, starting up another wild quake. Gnar is left with time to recover while his opponents are hurled around, taking the full fury of the earthquake. Storm is thrown against a pylon, and when the tremor dies down, he lies totally still, undeniably unconscious. Venom, sprawled nearby, looks just as down for the count, but then the ekans twitches and weakly raises his head, fixing baleful eyes on Gnar and trying for a hiss.

The ghost sighs. How tiresome. With a flick of his tail, the ghost goes shooting through the air, moving quite quickly for one of his species. Darting back and forth across the arena, the duskull appears to split in two, throwing off an illusory copy of himself that follows behind him and mimics his every move.

Gnar, I want the Ekans disposed of as an infuriated snake (and this has nothing to do with the fact that Kratos' Ekans is probably going to smite me). Partially phase into Purr's back so he can't hit you. Then just Chill for an action. Then, end the battle by floating away from Purr and just sleeping. That's right, Rest.

Gible. Good news, you finally get-non Earthquake commands! Bad news, the're not as cool as Earthquake. First, Put on your happiest smile and Chill. Then, with as much bravado as possible, use Iron Head. On the final action, just use Rest like Gnar to end as awesomely as possible. If he Protected or evaded the Iron Head, then yes, you get to use Earthquake. Also, if for whatever reason you can't perform an action (paralysis, sleep, attraction, whatever) just Chill it off.

Slowly, Venom raises himself from the floor, swaying back and forth as he gags and chokes, summoning up another mouthful of acid. As before, his opponents wince with disgust as a spray of noxious fluid washes over them, wiping out Gnar's clone in the process, but neither really appears very injured. Or at least not in relation to Venom, who immediately slumps back to the floor, panting and with eyes glassy. Purr mutters to himself about the fact that he isn't given the opportunity to finish the snake off right now as he settles himself down on the floor, but he honestly isn't averse to taking a little rest. This battle's done, as far as he's concerned; no point in exerting himself where he doesn't have to. Sighing, the gible idly cleans acid off his scales as he sits and relaxes. Meanwhile, Gnar is grumbling himself--though over the loss of his hard-won clone, not his lack of offensive commands. Indeed, the ghost is content enough to drift across the arena until he hovers over Venom, his dark body blurring and fading out into long, wispy tendrils that sink into Venom's skin. The snake shivers as deadly cold steals through his body, emanating from the part of Gnar's body now occupying his own. The main portion of the duskull's body bobs in the air behind him like a particularly eerie balloon with a skull face.

Miraculously, Venom has yet to be knocked out and is therefore able to lever himself off the floor again, glaring defiance at Purr. He can't hope to hit both of his opponents, with Gnar now behind him and attached to him by several thick columns of ghostly mass. Still, one target is better than none, so Venom gags up another acid attack to soak Purr.

With that, the gible decides he's had it. That stupid snake's done nothing but get on his nerves this entire match, and it's time for him to pay. Shaking the latest acid coating off his face, he struggles awkwardly to his feet, his absurdly tiny arms not doing much to aid him. The gible lowers his head and snorts, concentrating metal energy in his head until it takes on a glowing sheen. With a gurgling cry, he charges, his pounding feet kicking up unsettling creaks from the unstable metal floor as he goes. Fortunately for Purr, nothing gives way as he bears down on Venom, then scoops him up and hurls him through the air with the iron head attack. Gnar, of course, is dragged along for the ride and none too pleased about it--he can't unphase quickly enough to escape the ekans' body, but fortunately the mild battering he receives as a result of being tossed around has almost no effect on his incorporeal flesh. Venom, though, is not so lucky; upon coming to rest, the snake is limp and silent, at last put out of his misery.

Purr is already doing an awkward victory dance in the middle of the arena, slobbering and jabbering with delight, but MurrMurr doesn't let him finish before recalling the dragon and his companion; goodness knows Purr would go on all day if given the opportunity. The trainers are left in a rather awkward position, unable to approach one another across the shattered, acid-splattered floor, and can only call the usual post-battle formalities at one another over the crackling hiss of electricity being spun out by the pylons. It is up to the referee, swooping closer on her aerodactyl, to distribute the prizes and, in the end, arrange for Grimdour the Desecrater's transportation. Once more Grimdour is hoisted up in the prehistoric beast's grip and whisked away into the roiling sky--though the aerodactyl is forced to make a sudden swerve as the pylons hum warningly, then spew electricity in all directions, releasing a discharge that is perhaps irked at having been forgotten. MurrMurr, unfortunately, is still directly in the line of fire for the angry terrain and receives a bit of a shock. He is left to regain his composure as best he can as the aerodactyl vanishes from sight overhead.

MurrMurr gets $16 for winning, Grimdour the Desecrater gets $6, and I get $10. Purr and Gnar get two EXP each, while Venom and Storm get one apiece.
