Double Battle
Switch Enabled
DQ 1 week
Damage Cap: 60% per Pokemon
Banned Moves: OHKO's, Weather changers, Rock Type moves, Fly
Arena: Blue Cave
-A cave not made of rock but of minerals of a beautiful blue that illuminates it with a glowing light. The ground is of dirt providing mud moves but all Rock Type attacks are disabled in here. Both ends have been sealed off by strange veils that zap any who dare try escaping during battle and so there is no leaving the circular arena.
-The main arena in which the battle is held is round and has stalectites and stalegmites made of the blue minerals. These are good for using to avoid attacks or make them attack such as knocking some from the blue ceiling. The humidity in the air is low thus weakening Ice moves by 1/2 their real damage. Flying type Pokemon can only take flight but cannot use Fly for the risk of knocking a stalectite off and onto the flying Pokemon. When Flying type moves are used, there is a 50% chance that a stalectite will fall and strike thou using it.
->Stalectites: 50% chance can fall on Pokemon if Flying type attack is used, can be aimed at and used to drop on Pokemon
->Stalegmites: Can guard Pokemon from attacks 5% and under otherwise reduce damage by 5% if attack is stronger
->Ice Attacks: Reduced by half

Just for the record, it's "stalactites" and "stalagmites". Anyway, active squads:

Umm, Wooper and Nincada.

Shino, use an Attract on that lava-camel. Then use Mud-Slap at the Houndoom. Then Dig and stay under. If you get a burn or some other status condition, use Facade instead.

Attract/Facade~Mud-Slap/Facade~Dig/Facade
##########################################################
Ax, seduce that Houndoom with Attract.
If that works, go up behind Numel and use a Water Pulse on her hump and then Dig underground and stay there.

On the other hand, if Attract /didn't/ work, Dig and then attack Fafneer. Then use Water Pulse

Attract~Water Pulse/Dig~Dig/Water Pulse

Okay then! Fafneer-start us off with Protect to shield you both from Attract. Then, Numel use Yawn on Wooper. Then we'll have you Fafneer, dodge behind a stalagmite and use Nightmare on Wooper. Numel can use Flamethrower on Shino. We'll bring this round to a close with Numel taking it away with Earthquake and once that's over, Fafneer uses Payback on Wooper.

BATTLE COMMENCE!
Upon walking into the arena, MurrMurr finds that the electric fence seals behind him, which is a good sign and a bad sign. Good sign, the two battlers are here. Bad sign, he can't leave. Nonetheless, he sucks it up and walks over to a small, circular arena where blue is everywhere, from the floor, ceiling, and stalagmites and stalactites littered about the arena. Kindling Queen, having battled before, denies looking at the clipboard with a small shake of her head and whips out two Pokeballs. Out of one emerges Fafneer, the young dog glaring eerily around the arena, trying to look as evil as possible. The second one reveals a small lava camel who is slightly put off by the lack of lava, or red. She's not looking down, just in case the blue floor turns into water. Blastoise428 grins. He throws out two Pokemon of his own: a Nincada, whose many eyes are having a hard time trying not to hurt from the multifaceted blue light, and a Wooper, who eagerly runs to a stalagmite before pausing to hear her trainer's commands. After the Pokemon take it all in and know what to do, the battle gets started!

Fafneer, evil grin and all, opens up the battle by creating a giant shield around himself (eliciting some hopeless glares from Numel), a safe haven from the disaster to come. The green hues of the shield seem to be magnified by being surrounded by the blue light, and all the Pokemon stop for a moment before remembering what to do. Shino tries to use Attract. That move doesn't seem to ring a bell, and since cicadas live underground their whole lives, he hasn't tried it out or anything. So he waits for an excecutable attack. Numel, trying to put off her worry and look as aloof as possible and yawns. Aximilli shudders and recalls the yawn. It makes her drowzy (not to mention hate the Numel for psychological warfare). At any rate, she tries to woo the protecting Fafneer, but he's concentrating more on the Protect than anything else, and she gives up and goes back to watching the pretty colors.
<Shino: -0H, -0E><Aximilli: -0H, -2E><Fafneer: -0H, -4E><Numel: -0H, -4E>
Nightmare. In light of all the failed moves last action, Fafneer expected more...action...and his trainer ordering an attack he doesn't know just ruins that. Trying to keep his temper under wraps, he pounds the ground in frustration. Shino, taking advantage of his adversary's failure to hide, kicks up some mineral-rich mud straight at Fafneer's face, making the dog incredibly annoyed and glowing blue. Numel takes offense to her partner being hit with the evil blue stuff of death, and unleashes a burst of intense flames straight at poor Shino. He gets swatted off his feet and thrown into a stalagmite. Well then. Numel smirks, before losing track of Aximilli in the blue mud. Aximilli dashes over to Fafneer, not wasting any time, and strikes right underneath him. The Houndour growls. This round was an epic failure for him. However, not all is lost. Numel smirks as Aximilli lays down and falls asleep on the ground right next to the hole she created.
<Shino: -18H, -3E><Aximilli: -0H, -6E><Fafneer: -18H, -0H><Numel: -0H, -5E>
Shino begins traspising through the mud, trying to find a safe enough spot to dig. Meanwhile, Numel stamps on the ground, sending shockwaves that cause staglagmites to crack and a stalactite to fall by her, trapping her in one spot. Oh, the irony. However, the Pokemon are all caught in the massive quake, and Shino in particular suffers and is thrown into the air. However, in a stroke of luck, he comes down headfirst and immediately begins digging. Fafneer does his best to shroud himself in darkness (like most colorful attacks so far, eerily at odds with the blue glow permeating from the arena) and dash straight at Aximilli, who is flung across the room (as MurrMurr thanks his lucky stars he brought a tape recorder so he can watch this in slomo later) into a stalagmite, the severe pain snapping her out of the sleep immediately as Kindling Queen curses. While Shino burrows, Aximilli wonders who to target with the water she's supposed to attack with. After a brief moment of desicion, she fires the Water Pulse (and watches in awe as the two different hues of blue mingle in the air) at the already pinned and trapped Numel, who is splashed, but doesn't move much because the fallen stalactite now behind her breaks her fly.

Arena and Battle Notes:
-Nincada can't learn Attract, oddly enough. It is the only gendered Pokemon that can learn TMs yet doesn't have it.
-There are 5 Pokemon that can learn Nightmare: the Gastly line, Hypno, and Darkrai. Not Houndour. Furthermore, Pokemon fall asleep from Yawn at the end of the next action, so it would have failed anyway.
-Shino was far enough underground to sustain double damage from Earthquake.
-Water Pulse against Numel was a critical hit. Ouch.
-Earthquake is a powerful attack. I figure some shock waves would hit the ceiling, so I did a random number generation to see if one fell and if so on whom. Numel took the burden but wasn't hit.
-Thanks KQ, but the RNG hates you, out of a 3% chance of snapping the Wooper out of it (after you informed me) it got 2.
-Kindling Queen attacks first next round.

Glad I could help, lol. Oh and Houndour can use Nightmare. It can learn it through TM. check this if you don't believe me: http://veekun.com/dex/pokemon/houndour

Okay, we'll start with Numel using Yawn again on Shino this time. Fafneer, go on ahead and use Reversal on Axi. Next, Numel use Ember on Fafneer and Fafneer follow up with Fire Blast on whoever poses more of a threat and isn't shielded. For the final action, Numel will use Heat Wave on Shino and Fafneer will use Nightmare but if Axi wakes up before you can, go on with Double Edge. If you see they are able to evade an attack, than whoever was attacking that Pokemon switches to Howl but always stay on guard and duck behind stalagmites during water attacks and make our attack after theirs.

OK then. Must have missed it while checking Serebii (for the record I was just listing those who learned it naturally) but either way it doesn't change anything.

Ax, use Attract at Fafneer. Then Double Team if Attract worked, that should confuse him a bit. Then Mist. If Attract doesn't work, replace your second action with Attract and your third with Double team.

With all of the battlers inconvenienced in one way or another, Fafneer gets up and does something about it. Calling up the hidden reserve of power that stems from the damage he's been dealt (albeit not much), he dashes forward and strikes Aximilli, who doesn't particularly enjoy it but doesn't feel too much pain. Shino hears Aximilli's cry and is torn between concern for his partner and his trainers orders. And they say the Grinch's bug's heart grew three sizes in that cave. Nonetheless, he manages to stay put in the cave he hollowed out for himself and relax, adding to his vitality. Numel struggles a bit, writhing and kicking. Her continued efforts slowly chip away at the rock. In the meantime, Aximilli looks wooingly one more time at Fafneer, making comments that will not be repeated here :blank:. This time, Fafneer has no mental preparation, and is not distracted, and he falls under, snuggling up lovingly with the grinning Aximilli. Numel, not granted with the genetic immunity to such mushy displays, grimaces but finally wriggles free and (noticing the distinct lack of a Shino) howls eerily, trying to get herself amped up for battle. The sound waves pass over the couple (who shiver in tandem) and float to the hole where Shino resides. But Shino can't see or hear anything, and so the subliminal urge to react is supressed.
<Shino: -0H, +7E><Aximilli: -4H, -3E><Fafneer: -0H, -4E, attracted (moderate)><Numel: -0H, -5E>
Shino darts out of the tunnel he was previously exiled to, and off to a corner of the arena. Hiding behind a stalagmite to avoid any potential incoming attacks, he concentrates on his own life force, and forms an exact copy of himself, only looking slightly more ethereal than the real Nincada. The Substitue looks fit and healthy as the two bugs emerge from the cave. Numel quickly inhales and then breathes a small amount of fire in the general direction of the couple. Aximilli shrieks and jumps out of the way, but Fafneer snaps out of it just in time to throw himself into the blast and power up, feeling his pent-up awesomeness come cascading down. Whipping around, he exhales a huge blast of fire in a fun shape straight at Shino. Shino runs away and the Substitute hops to take its place, and the false Nincada is engulfed by the flames. It does not emerge safely, instead disintegrating into wisps of smoke. Aximilli, wanting to believe that Fafneer would hurt her and wanting to avoid the Numel who came so close to burning her, panting, tries to run around the cave as fast as she can. Struggling with the effort, only one other Wooper manages to break off of the real one, the two executing the same exact movements as Fafneer looks up blearily at two of his snugglebunnies.
<Shino: -20H, -10E><Aximilli: -0H, -2E><Fafneer: -0H, -8E><Numel: -0H, -2E>
Fafneer, glancing around the field, sees no one sleeping, and so flings himself recklessly forward. He doesn't recall his trainer saying anyone to hit, so he goes for Aximilli, nearly slamming into her with considerable force, recoil seeping into his bones. But Fafneer feels guilty and takes it out on a rock instead. Meanwhile, Shino takes advantage of the fact that Numel is looking in their direction to dash around behind her and spew volatile toxins all over her face. She spins around, looking annoyed, and on an impulse (and because her trainer told her two) releases a giant compressed wave of pure heat, baking Shino and burning Aximilli's clone, causing it to dissipate. Fafneer doesn't feel a thing. Aximilli is far enough removed to avoid sustaining damage. She quickly tries to repel the very warm atmosphere by releasing a gaseous mist from her pores, masking a good portion of the blue light.

Alrighty Numel-we'll use Mud Slap first to lower his accuracy and waddle out of there not paying attention at all to Shino. Stop by Axi and hide behind her while she flirts with Fafneer. Numel, make your exit with Dig to avoid Swagger one last time as well as Fafneer's wrath. You can pop up behind Shino. Don't hurt him. Numel walks over to deal some damage to Shino, but does not expect the faster and more mobile Shino to come waltzing over as pompously as a bug can. Extending his mandibles and leering at the camel as he walks on by, Shino grins and watches as Numel becomes infuriated at the sight of this little insignificant bug trying to outdo her! She also finds it a little hard to walk, and trips over her own feet and bashes her head into a stalagmite in an attempt to kick up some mud. Fafneer just sits, relaxes and watches Aximilli, who is occupying herself using certain gestures and phrases that repulse all humans in the room but would get her the Wooper of her choice if she believed in stooping that low.
<Shino: -0H, -3E><Aximilli: -0H, -1E><Fafneer: -0H, +7E><Numel: -5H -2E, confused (severe)>
Shino, looking much like the bug he is, scuttles around at an incredibly fast pace. He starts to blur around the edges, narrowly tracing over rocks and Fafneer, until two more Nincada seem to spring out of him, all three slowing down gradually until they come to a complete stop and the real Shino is indistinguishable from the fakes. Numel hobbles over to Aximilli, looking a little bit punch-drunk (and eliciting a sheepish grin from Fafneer), and prepares to stomp on her tail. She ends up tripping over her own feet again (stupid useless camel you), but it still has the desired effect--she lands on Aximilli's tail and produces a cry loud and distressed enough to rouse Fafneer and cause him to growl threateningly at Numel. Aximilli regains her composure, but the damage is done: all attemps to entice the Houndour are lost to his fury at his partner. Fafneer quickly gathers solar energy from the blue minerals around him while trying desperately to look as mad as possible.
<Shino: -0H, -2E><Aximilli: -6H, -0E><Fafneer: -0H, -2E><Numel: -5H -1E>
Fafneer, barely able to contain his fury, releases a huge burst of solar energy straight at Numel, who is only in the process of digging when the beam hits. Fortunately for Numel, it only singes his tail. Unfortunately for Numel, the blast connects full-on with Aximilli, who is sent a few feet backwards, and Fafneer (in a fit of rage) runs up to Numel and kicks him out of the hole. Ouch. Shino and his clones quietly chuckle as they behold the chaos that is love and relax their muscles, glad to be out of harm's way. Aximilli, trying desperately to retain the love (but in fact ticked because her beautiful Mist dissapeared), sprays a bit of water over Numel, to secure the fact that both members of the couple do, in fact, hate Numel. However, Fafneer is slowly beginning to realize that Aximilli has plans for him (the bad kind), and sheepishly grins at Numel for kicking her earlier. Not that it matters now, because Numel drops to the ground to suffer from past damages--the poison is now seeping deeper into her body.

-Nincada is faster than Numel, so Shino got off Swagger before Numel could respond.
-Numel hurt itself in confusion on both the first and second actions. Ouchies.
-I took off 5% health when Numel hit a rock on the first action and 5% again on the second when he hit the floor and Aximilli.
-Numel lost small amounts of energy on the first and second actions for moving around and trying to execute attacks.
-Shino's Double Team produced 2 clones.
-When in pain, it is very hard to seduce a member of the opposite sex, and so Aximilli's Captivate failed.
-Houndour is faster than Numel, and in his angry rush Fafneer wouldn't have bothered to wait for Numel to leave, and so hit him partially.
-I divided the amount of energy on Solarbeam into 2 parts: 2% for the charge and 6% for the release.
-On the last action, Numel took 3% damage from the Solarbeam near-hit, 3% for being kicked, 8% for Water Gun, and 2% for poison. Residual damage is going to kill him soon.
-Just for the record, the default Chill I use restores 7% energy normally, as low as 3% when interfered with (but not eliminated altogether) and as high as 10% under excellent conditions.
-Mist dissipates rather quickly in the face of Solarbeams.
-As stated above, I apologize for my special brand of incredi-lateness.

ALright-thnk goodness this battle has enabled switch! Return Numel! Out with Charmeleon [M] Blaze (He evolved but if I have to leave him as a Charmander, fine cause the moves are the same.)

Okay Fafneer, this Wooper is using you. Don't let her get to you so easily. Show her how strong you are with Taunt. Maybe you can woo her a bit to appeal to her better nature.

Now Charmeleon, we've got to play the bad guy like Numel but more skillfully. Once Taunt has been used we'll hit the field up with an extreme Smokescreen that way it's harder to see for the three of them.

Next we'll have you prey upon Axi and snatch her up into a tight hold with Metal Claw. SHe's much smaller than you and easy to lift be it your obvious weight difference so hold her by the back of the neck and beginning of the tail where the tail and body meet. Shake her so Fafneer can her her cry out from the strangling and wave your tail so he sees where you are.

Fafneer! A guy is messing with Axi! Time to show off your strength as the dominant male with another Solar Beam! He's right there so you can't miss him and strike Axi like that Numel got you to. Begin charging.

Charmeleon, keep your cool and Mega Kick Axi at Fafneer so that during the blast its direct contact and mount yourself up onto a stalagmite to oversee the field and find that Shino.

Umm, okay.

Ax, your going to be the target a lot this round, so we're going to do all we can to prevent you from being hurt too badly.

Shino, there's going to be a lot of smoke. Now, I know this won't hinder you much, with your antannae and all, but it could be a problem for Ax, so your going to have to try a Gust. Next, have you and all your clones walk up to the Houndour and use a False Swipe, breaking his concentration. Then, just dig into the ground and hunker down, but leave your clone up there.

Gust~False Swipe @ Fafneer~Dig

Ax, you will be attempting, during your first action, to use Captivate. Put lots of energy into it, make yourself as appealing as possible. Next fire sludge bomb in that lizardy thing's direction, followed by Water Pulse. If at ant point your little Faffy-waffy stops being fooled, Dig and wait there.
