• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Ketsu vs. Ruieko

Exdeath

Back again (maybe for good this time)!
1vs1 single
Style: Set
DQ: 1 week
Damage Cap: 45%
Banned Moves: OHKO's
Arena: Ruins

Rocks are thrown around the place, and buildings are crumbling. There are many places for Pokémon to stand, but they are prone to crumbling (40%). If the thing that they are standing on crumbles and the Pokémon doesn't move quickly (30% chance they will make it), the Pokémon suffers damage and paralysis (10% damage and mild paralysis for short heights, 20% damage and medium paralysis for moderate heights, and 30% damage and severe paralysis for tall heights). It is hard to navigate without jumping, and you can't dig because there used to be a stone path on the ground.

Ketsu's Active Squad: [Blaze] Torchic (F) <Blaze> - [Blade] Ralts (M) <Trace> - [Arainami] Buizel (F) <Swift Swim> - [Spark] Shinx (M) <Rivalry> - [Reaper] Duskull (M) <Levitate>

Ruieko's Active Squad: [Blossom] Chikorita (F) <Overgrow> - [Flames] Growlithe (M) <Flash Fire> {Fire Stone} - [Star] Starly (F) <Keen Eye> {Focus Band} - [Spirit] Gastly (M) <Levitate>

Sorry I'm late, I had the flu. Anyway, attack order is as follows:

Ketsu sends out
Ruieko sends out and attacks
Ketsu attacks
Stuff happens

I'll go with Blossom, my female Chikortia.

First, use Poison Powder. Unless Reaper uses something to block it then use Sword Dance. Next, use Natural Power. Finally, use Growl if Reaper uses any offensive attacks, but if he uses a move that isn’t offensive then use Sword Dance.

Poison Powder / Sword Dance ~ Natural Power ~ Growl / Sword Dance

Okay, Reaper, we don't have anything that can block that Poison, so lets Taunt so that Blossom can't use Sword Dance. Then use Calm Mind and then another Calm Mind.

Taunt~Calm Mind (x2)

Late ref is late. I should be able to have access to the computer from now on, though.

Round 1

Blossom twitches some unknown head muscle, and her leaf begins to vibrate rapidly, shaking out purple spores. Soon, the chikorita has released a small cloud of the stuff, which drifts lazily towards Reaper. Perhaps Blossom aimed poorly, or the cloud was too slow to be accurate, for all Reaper has to do is shift a little to the side and the poisonpowder floats right by him, some of it settling on the pillar he's on. The duskull bursts into a strange, high pitched cackling, apparently finding this highly amusing. He turns to the chikorita, trying to make a convincing sneer, and launches a volley of insults, doing his best to goad Blossom with comments about her intelligence, her family, and chikorita in general. Only kid weaklings miss with such simple moves, he laughs, and didn't he mention that she looks so ridiculous with that silly leaf sitting on her head? Blossom's face contorts into an ugly, hateful expression, and she snarls angrily. That ghost is going to die.

Blossom would dearly love to cause pain and suffering against that duskull, but she can't make heads or tails of her orders, her thoughts clouded by rage as they are. Natural Power? She doesn't know that. Normally she would easily be able to tell what move her trainer meant, but in her current state, the chikorita is unable to comprehend her orders; instead, she opts to scream abuse at Reaper, who is watching amusedly. Kids these days.. Sighing, his red eye slows to a stop as he retreats within himself, quietly strenghtening his mental defences while at the same time achieving a higher level of focus with which to wield certain attacks.

Blossom glares daggers at the relaxing Reaper, murderous intentions on her mind. That smug ghost who thinks he can insult her all he wants and then have a nap in her face is going to be in a world of pain soon. She doesn't even consider following Ruieko's orders; in her mind, she should attack Reaper until he stops moving. With that in mind, the chikorita sends a dark green vine shooting towards Reaper. The vine makes a loud crack! sound as it hits the duskull, snapping him out of his thoughts and into the real world. Reaper grumbles something inaudible, less enthused than before. Still, the vine whip stung but didn't really hurt him very much, so he slips back into his relaxed state, building up his mental abilities. Meanwhile, Blossom takes a deep breath, satisfied. That duskull got what was coming to him.

Status: Relaxed and in a good mood. +2 Sp. Attack, Sp. Defence.

Ruieko

Blossom (F)
Overgrow
Health: 100%
Energy: 95%
Status: Seething at Reaper, but feeling a little better. Taunted (Mild, one more action).

Notes
-Poison Powder missed.
-Natural Power is not a real move. Blossom usually would've been able to understand what it actually was, but since she was taunted and less capable of thinking straight, she did nothing.
-Blossom ignored orders on the third action and used a random move that she could learn (Vine Whip).
-Ketsu attacks first next round.

Ketsu is disqualified and cannot accept or make new challenges until May 18; as well, he receives nothing. Reaper and Blossom each earn 1 exp, Ruieko earns $8, and I earn $5.
