(OOC and Signups) Blood Games (Open)

Deep in the bowels of The City, is a ring of illegal Pokemon battles to the death. This crime ring is unlike anything ever experienced in The City before - Pokemon enhanced by genetic manipulations, so they are more powerful. The genes of another Pokemon make them stronger, faster, smarter, or with new moves and abilities that they would normally not be able to use. It does not normally alter their appearance in any way, so it's hard to tell those who were changed in this way from a normal Pokemon.

Battles are bloody and dangerous, and usually end in one of the combatant's deaths. Most of the Pokemon used for this were bred just for the purpose, and don't know about life outside of The City's undergrounds. It was them who named it 'The City', since they do not know of it's real name.

Will you kill all those you are forced to battle? Or be more merciful...?

Gender: ♀
Species: Scyther

Appearance: Agrona is rather small and sickly-looking for her kind, but it gives her a rather intimidating appearance - she looks more pointy, and makes her faster, as she's lighter. Her eyes seem to glow with an ghostly fire, which is just her Houndoom injection shining though. Her body isn't as scarred as one would expect from one who fights as much as her, but this is because she likes to avoid damage by rocketing around her foe at high speeds to avoid damage. Otherwise, she is what one would expect from a Scyther.

Personality: Agrona loves to battle, plain and simple. Most of her little spare time is spent finding new and particularly nasty ways of slaughtering her foes, usually with as much blood as possible. She especially likes to disable her foes with poison or burns, then slowly skinning them alive, or making pretty explosions with poison gas and flames. She has a dislike for birds and water, and will most likely try to kill birds or water types if she finds them.

Other: She can breath fire, but prefers to only use small amounts, as it hurts her to use more than an Ember.

Appearance:


Personality: Mawlrath acts rather mysterious and quiet, but believes that it is quite enjoyable to pin your enemy to the ground and eat it. He uses his metal body to his advantage against others and mostly stomps them into the ground with his heavy claws. He doesn't form alliances with others unless necessary and he prefers to use deception to trick enemies in battle. He doesn't pay attention to anything anyone says unless he feels the need to, and usually just claws his foes up before they can talk anyway.

Personality: Karg is a simple and merciless fighter. He tends to be loud and reckless, but skilled nonetheless at blending his physical capabilities with his unnatural powers of electrical and magnetic manipulation. Karg dislikes complexities and beating around the bush, preferring to be to-the-point, and lashing out at those he grows impatient with.

Appearance:

Personality: Valentin is calm and collected, being able to be badmouthed for a really long time with even caring, and doesn't like fighting unless he have a reason to, he usually intentionally loses fights, taking whatever punishment he gets for it. Although if he actually needs to fight, he can do it fairly well. He sometimes begins to shake or twitch rapidly for a short amount of time, but it's rare.

Appearance: I'll be lazier than usual this time.

Sparks occasionally jump between her two upright legs or off her horn.

Personality: Being as fragile as most bug-type pokemon, Weaver likes to avoid getting hit in any way possible. She uses her speed and agility to avoid attacks, and tries to use her webbing to get her out of the opponent's reach. She is fairly skilful at using her webbing or her various abilities to gain the upper hand while still remaining untouched, most notably her psychic powers, which she has a particular interest in. She likes trying to come up with tactics and being sneaky, usually not attacking properly until she has considerably weakened the opponent. When she finally does start attacking, she is merciless.

Genetic Implant Species: Elekid

Other: She can draw electricity through her upright legs and down her normal legs harmlessly, but she can't store electric energy well. Regular walking charges up her electricity, but she might accidentally discharge it if she touches metal, especially if it's with her legs or horn. However, she can concentrate on keeping her electricity stored in her horn, in which case it will glow a bluish-white. In addition, one of her many types of silk is very conductive, and indistinguishable from the other webbing - as soon as she touches it, the silk will be instantly charged with a great deal of electrical energy.

Personality: Storm honestly doesn't care about the deaths of her opponents. She feels that since she was bred to fight and kill, that's what she will do until a stronger opponent kills her one day. She prefers physical attacks to special, thinking killing isn't really killing unless you do it face to face. Most of her fights have ended either with serious injury or death.

Appearance: He has rectangular patches of darker skin around his eyes, and his ears are even larger than a normal Wartortle's.

Personality: Shy and quiet around others, but quick to speak around friends, Mark is rather sarcastic and condencending at times. On the other hand, he really doesn't want to kill his opponents, but so far he hasn't killed, so he hasn't had a choice as of yet.

Appearance: A Flareon whose normally cream fur is more golden.
Personality: She aims high and always wants to do her best, and is flexible to changes. But she can be rash and timid, and likes to have everything planned out. But she doesn't like hard work and would rather just do jobs for others rather than tire herself out with them. She's friendly and prefers teamwork and speed over brute strength.

Species: Leafeon
Appearance: Mango is a strong and well-built Leafeon (completely deviating from the cute, slender stereotype), standing a little taller than average and certainly with a lot more muscle. He is heavily scarred, long white and scabbed lines splitting his dirty cream fur, and his ears and tail are very scrappy-looking and torn. His eyes are a milky light brown and stare off somewhere into the distance, never looking focused on anything in particular so he seems rather intimidating. Unlike his genetic injection-Pokémon he isn't disarmingly cute, which is a bit of a shame really, but seeing as he doesn't have the jaw surprise-attack it would be a bit useless anyway.
Personality: Mango comes off as a little creepy if you're not used to him yet; he doesn't talk much and chooses to express himself mostly through body language and facial expressions. He's also blind, which makes others awkward around him in the first place, but he doesn't really seem to recognise this and seems to get around fine (he's been blind since he was born, so he's getting used to it). He's basically a big ball of social ineptness; when he does choose to say something, it'll be blunt and honest without taking into consideration anyone else's feelings. He does, however, prefer to be in the company of others even if they're not saying anything, as he finds the sound of their breathing comforting for some reason. Towards battling he's sort of eh about it, seeing as it passes the time but doesn't last long enough for him to really enjoy it as such - I guess doing something pretty much since you were born kind of pulls all of the enjoyment out of it after a while.

Age: 6 in human years.

Species: Shiny Umbreon
Appearance: but shiny. With lavender eyes!
Personality: Very serious and calm((...wut)), actually hates fighting. She was taught that The City was the only place on Earth, so there was nowhere to run. She worms her way out of battles if possible, but otherwise, if she does have to fight, she uses evasive strategies to make the opponent hurt and possibly kill him or herself.

Age: 22 in Pokémon years

Species: Absol Arcanine

Appearance: with a white mane.

Personality: Kenshi has a split personality: sometimes he's cold-hearted, calm, calculist and tactician; others he's friendly, active (not hyper), instinct-driven and hot-headed. However, he's always very loyal and chivalrous.

Appearance: Same as a normal Drapion, with two notable exceptions: He is black instead of purple, and his stinger is three-pronged
Personality: Fero Lives to fight, and is incredibly savage, ruthless and bloodthirsty- and those are his nicer qualities. It's not uncommon for him to start going on rampages if a fight becomes incredibly intense

Name: Serene Grace

Age: 14

Gender: Female

Species: Delcatty

Appearance: A normal sized Delcatty. The purple on Serene is a much lighter, even close to lavender colour. She has quite a few scratches and bruises but not as much as most due to her graceful speed, good dodging skills and her ability to fly(using more energy than usual). She is very skinny from a lack of food however still somehow keeps herself as clean as every trainer around.

Personality: Serene is a pretty, typical Delcatty and is born to be loved by fangirls however her 'trainer' who's name she doesn't know but is nothing close to nice, wacking her and torturing her when she is defeated in battle.

She isn't as self centered and selfish as most Delcatty raised by Supermodels as she was raised badly. She feels for others and trys her best to win battles but not to hurt the opponent so much to win.

She's actually a very nice Delcatty due to the kind nature she picked up from he Togekiss genes she was given.

However the only way she survived is using Heal Bell which cures status which is her main problem(as speed is her strength and para/sleep etc slows her down...)

Name: Jahrajas
Age: 33
Gender: Male
Species: Xatu
Genetic Implant Species: Shuckle

Appearance: Although somewhat ruffled from the many battles he has endured in the ring, Jahrajas is much like any other Xatu. He looks almost like a totem pole with his colourful plumage, rigid posture and unmoving gaze, and coupled with the way he seems to absorb mammoth amounts of punishment like it was nothing, it's enough to creep out even experienced fighters. Some spectators of the battles he's been in consider him boring to watch... but for the combatants themselves, boredom is never an issue.

Personality: Like most Xatu, Jahrajas stands still most of the time - in fact, he tends not to move very much during combat either. With his mind stuck in constant temporal flux, he is difficult to communicate with and his thoughts are often very disorganized. Still, he is not to be underestimated; using his ability to predict the future (whether he wants to or not), he can dodge most attacks with a well-timed sidestep, and his psychic powers are deadly, if a little diffuse. Above all, Jahrajas' Shuckle genes allow him to take damage without even blinking; pain-resistant or not, he is still vulnerable, but his reaction (or, rather, non-reaction) to attacks can be quite unnerving.
