Okay, so people agree that Platinum is Pt, right? And S is used by both Silver and Sapphire, and G is Green or Gold? This is not totally clear.
Let's switch to RBYGAuAgCRSEDPPt. IT'S TOTALLY CLEARER, AM I RIGHT? ... now all I need's a good alternative for either Red or Ruby.

Sometimes Ruby and Sapphire are Ru/Sa, don't forget.

What? What are those As for? What does Au stand for?
I'm honestly confused, they're usually.. not all bunched together like that.
No other gen has had an issue with one of the games having the same letter except the 4th. If someone is talking about one of the trios i don't think they'd suddenly switch over and start talking about another one in the same post unless they tell you.
But just to help, Ruby could be Rb? I guess?

Au stands for Aurum (latin for gold), and Ag stands for the latin for silver which I can't recall.

Au and Ag are the chemical symbols for gold (aurum) and silver (argentinum), respectively.
However, using Ru/Sa is already an established convention for those really rather few cases where it is arguably necessary to make a distinction between Red and Ruby and Silver and Sapphire, and in the English-speaking community, there is quite simply no way that just the letter "G" anywhere other than in "R/G/B/Y" will be taken to mean "Green" - when referring to Green in a context where it could possibly be confused, people just say Green.

What about changing the tags to '1st gen', '2nd gen', etc?
Just throwing that out there.

I wasn't really talking about tags. I just wanted to post a stupid thread okay :(

This is why you're my favourite mod <3What, because I have no brain-to-keyboard filter and I very rarely take anything seriously for more than thirty seconds?
My name is staying as it is.
