Alright, think back to the first main series game you owned. Think back to the first time you played it.

What starter did you get first?
 
Charmander... I think I nicknamed it, too, but I can't remember what I called it, and that nickname is forever lost to the world... though I still have the Charizard that came of it :3
 
Squirtle! <3 Though these days I'm liking the Chars better, Squirtle and Wartortle are still pretty boss. Just Blastoise that I dun like. D:
 
I can't remember. I know I started with Charmander on a (badly) half-translated Japanese Blue ROM before the games came out in English, but I can't remember what I started with in my Red version... probably Bulbasaur because I didn't know which Pokémon could learn Cut, only that Bulbasaur could.
 
Charmander. Because as a kid I wanted to have a charizard at 6 years old.

Then it was Cyndaquil, Mudkip & Piplup
 
Charmander. Red was my first Pokemon game and he was so cute!! Also Charizard was my favorite. And sorry for going off topic but my starters go like this from the first gen to the last: Charmander, Cyndaquil, Mudkip, then Piplup. Anyone else note a pattern?

Pretty sure it was Chikorita, on Silver version. Though I never used it much; I never even evolved it to Meganium. xD My Raticate, Hyper, was my prized Pokémon on that game. <3
