[OOC and Sign-ups] The Broken Calendar

Caidoz is a world split up into thirteen "countries", one for each sign of the Zodiac plus a neutral area. At birth, birthdates are written down and recorded and the babies are shipped off to the nuetral country of Neutralis where they are taken care of until they are thirteen and than they go off to the country they were "born" into.

Two years ago after the ceremony, the list for the next year was stolen. In order to keep this hidden, the rulers of each country came together to constrcut another list. The ceremony went well. However recently the real list has been found and there have been mix-ups. This is a problem, as there's no way to fix the problem.

The problem? They don't know what the people who were mixed up look like. This is because at the ceremony when the children are sent to their country of birth, their bodies are changed dramatically to reflect this. They can't visit the childrens' old homes for clues either, as the homes are destroyed as well.

Whilst the leaders live their lifes in a panic, twelve klids live their lives in peace. There have been rumors. However these twelve have felt different from the people within their country, but decided to dismiss it as unimportant. However after a seemingly random event confirms them to be fit for a different country, their suspisions have been confirmed. They have all decided to keep this a secret, although each has their own view. Some just want life to go on, some want to be sent to their right country, and some don't really care, they just don't want the secret to come out.

Meanwhile a prophecy has appeared, one that could spell for either the destruction of their world or one with which all the countries will band together and the walls of separation will be burned down. The leaders have began narrowing down possible mix ups in order to find them out and either help influence the prophecy. What will you do...?

There are a few sides to this. They are:
"Brokens" or those who have been mixed up.
"Repairers" or the government officals who wish to fix the problem.
"Gears" or regualr people who are curious about the mix-ups. These are store-owners, commoners, etc.

1. No godmodding or powerplaying, simple right?
2. Respect all players.
3. Read everything so the timeline stays stable.
4. Post atleast a paragraph. So about 10-12 sentences per post. Can be shorter however if need be.

Name: Sir Jason Sharp Fist Silverten ((Most call him either Jason or Sharp Fist))

Personality: Unlike most Scorpios, Jason is a dreamer. OFten he can be found drawing or writeing, things fairly creative. Rather than being outgoing like others, he is shy and withdrawn.
Appearance: Like most people of his race, he has dark skin. Blue eyes tend to be covered by red hair. He keeps his hair tied back in a ponytail. His clothing tends to consist of a red coat similar to a mage's robe and blue jeans.

Power: Jason has the power to encourage people when they are down.

Weapon: The weapon he recived at the ceremony was a sword. His sword is smaller than most, having only just recieved it a year ago. The blade is sharp, with a flaming red color, the color of determination. Inscibed on the hilt is a scorpion, the symbol of his people.

Personality: Vai isn't very social or talkative, unlike most Geminis, but is rather likable and loyal. She's always joking around, and is rather optimistic, but is always showing off and is rather gullible. She is rather focused on what she's doing, and if Vai's knocked off track, she'll just get right back on. Very determined.

Appearance: Vai wears a dark grey kind of cloak and a silverish top under that, with black pants. Her skin is fairly tanned, and she has black hair, brown eyes. Around her waist she wears a thinish rope as a belt, on that are her dagger sheaths. She wears about seven thin bronze bracelets and anklets on each arm and leg, and there are silvery rings in her hair. Call her extra.

Power: Vai can get almost anyone to do anything she wants.
Weapon: Two daggers, with a 'II' design on the hilt. Both are exactly the same, black hilt and handle, silver blade.

Personality: Almost all Aries have an unshakable sense of self, to the point where they will believe what they want. In Lansly's case, he staunchly believes that the best life is one that is being lived. So much so that he doesn't even care when others tell him he is wasting his time laying in a bed of flowers or running around. As emotions are something that are a part of life, he fully immerses himself in them. At one point, he was even thought to have been a Pisces that was erroneously given to the Aries since his birth was on the cusp of the changing Zodiacs. That business was resolved a longtime ago though, and now the Branfords just have to deal with an overly-optimistic, whimsical, and sometimes emotional child.

Appearance: Lansly is tall and has a very lean athletic figure, with large-ish shoulders and a thin waist. Hia hair is long and white with a tint of pink , that cascades from his head with a natural part keeping it from his face and flowing behind him. His skin is fleshy pink, and his eyes are big and ever-wanting to see the world, colored the shade of passionate crimson. His clothing consists of black athletic pants that bell-out at the bottom of the legs, an over-sized White shirt with the sleeves cut, and simple running shoes. His only accessory is an unusual Ribbon that he ties on a strand of hair next to his right ear, a gift from a girl he formed a friendship with that he managed to smuggle out from Neutralis.


Power: Reinforce: Makes the powers of people Lansly admires or considers friends more powerful by putting a bit of his own spiritual 'oomph' behind them.

Weapon: An ornate spiked chain, but he purposely broke his weapon a while after receiving it, wanting to artistically symbolize his unwillingness to bind himself to a future that is not decidedly chosen by him alone. His parents, so appalled by his act, had a pair of metal claw gauntlets and boots made for him with the Aries crest, and told him if he promised that he would lie about them being his ceremony weapon, they wouldn't punish him. Since he got to decide on it, he was perfectly fine with that deal.

Personality: Apodis is an honest person, and very optimistic. She has a cheery air and is very good at communicating with others. She is also very smart, although she doesn't admit it all that much. She can be very gullible, though, and it's easy to change her outlook on things. She can't stand to sit still, either, and she has an extreme case of insomnia. She can snap at people in the mornings because of this.

Appearance: Apodis has fiery red hair that is very long and curly. Her eyes are icy blue, and very hard to break away from. They are full of warmth usually, although they are sometimes very tired and weary. She is somewhat short and very thin. She is very pale, although most people don't realize it because of the multiple freckles dotting her skin, mostly on her nose and cheeks. She usually just wears some jeans, or shorts when it's very humid outside, and a white t-shirt. When it gets cold, she usually just wears a very holey gray sweatshirt. She also wears a bronze necklace around her neck with a bit of turquoise attached to it, although this is usually hidden in her shirt. In public events, such as parties, with the other Capricorns, she wears a black one with garnet instead, so that she fits in more.

Power: She can percieve things very well and get to the truth of things most of the time.

Personality: Petra is very brave in the classic sense, meaning she appears to has absolutely no fear of anything, and aside from that seems to never lose her temper. She's good at hiding her emotions and won't easily admit that she is frightened, wanting to always look in control, which she generally is. It's hard to get get angry, and even harder to make her show it. Because of this, she often ends up as the peacemaker, though she's not at all afraid of getting into a fight if it gets to that. Still, she thinks logically, and won't do something like that if she could get into more trouble than it's worth.

Appearance: Petra is tall and thin, with gray eyes and short brown hair, usually tied back with a plain rubber band. Her usual outfit is a pair of loose-fitting black pants and long-sleeve shirt, with a thick brown jacket and hiking boots. She usually doesn't wear much jewelry, except a small gold bracelet with tiny sapphires on it. Overall, she doesn't look particularly special and doesn't stand out much.

Power: Petra can control other people's emotions a bit, usually to make them calm down.

Weapon: More or less, it's a blade on a stick; useful as a walking stick or weapon. The Libra sign is engraved on both sides of the blade, which is tinted faintly blue.

Power: Zoe has the power of clairvoyance, where she can find certain people or familiar objects by thinking of them.

Weapon: A double bladed glaive, one blade on each end. There is an imprint on the handle which looks like a Z.
