• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

A good grass type would work wonders here.

If you find a Light Ball, attach it to 'chu. You might even evolve it. In fact, replacing it with Zapdos might be a good idea later on.

Teach Vaporeon Ice Beam later on.

You'll need to combat Electric types, though. Half your team has a weakness to it, and after Graveler's down, you're screwed. A good Grass type might be helpful. A Venusaur with Poisonpowder and Roar could be pretty annoying.

I dunno. You might want to consider Exeggcute, seeing as they aren't half bad (and have access to Softboiled, iirc).

Vileplume could work.

When you beat the game, get a Gligar. It works very well, and the 4x Ice weakness isn't that offsetting.

Here's my LG team if you need advice for a good set:

Charizard Level 37(adamant)
Flamethrower(good stab, nature may be bad against it but those who resist her other attacks have bad sp. def)
Rock slide(tutor)
Dig/Earthquake(if you are willing to sacrifice an earthquake TM you are in a good place)
Brick break(strong, good accuracy and breaks defences)

Raichu(better than non ball pikachu) Level 30
Brick break(good coverage)
Thunderbolt(he has the same special and normal attack stats)
Mega kick/Punch(good powe bad accuracy, take the kick. Tutor)
Quick attack(might want to replace with iron tail, but better when paralyzed)

Victreebel(you'd rather use vileplume)
Giga drain(TM from 4'th gym)
Sleep powder(good for later move)
Growth/moonlight(Growth raises spec attack when enemy asleep)
(filler) Cut(best coverage)/Acid/Sludge bomb(don't have access to this tough)

More advice might come later.

Does anyone think I don't even need the Vaporeon or any water type at all and possibly use something of another typpe there? (Ghost, Psychich, etc.)

EDIT: New plan. I'm going to ditch Vaporeon for a Poliwrath, and I'm also going to get a Haunter. Haven't really thought about movesets but. Yeah.
