[OOC + Signups]The Bloody Ones

Karkat Vantas

Virile God-Snake Tower of Masculinity
It was an ancient ritual that was performed at the age of eight. Every year, kids were brought to the Shrine of Blood. A Scyther would cut off their hands, and then make the handless child drink the blood of a Pokemon. After doing this, the hands would grow back.

The people who went through this ritual were known as Blood Pokemon (formally referred to as Pockechi). They would gain the traits of the Pokemon they drank the blood of. They would be able to use the moves that the Pokemon could learn. Most of them lived peaceful lives in their villages, using their skills to help out in the community.

However, one day, something horrible occurred.

The peaceful Tai Village was destroyed in a burst of darkness. Little is known about this horrible incident, but everybody was worried. A group of survivors from Tai, calling upon a Kirliachi to teleport them, went from village to village, asking the skilled Pockechi of each village to help in figuring out who destroyed the village and help fight whoever did it. Can the group survive?

Blood: (The Pokemon you've bonded with, ie Blood Arcanine. The formal way to refer to a Blood Pokemon is their Japanese name followed by "chi". For example, a Blood Hypno would be referred to as Sleeperchi.)

General Game Mechanics:
Pokemon can learn all moves that they would have at the level they are currently at.

Egg moves and tutor moves are taught at the villages corresponding to the move's typing.

Pokemon can be given three TM moves they could learn at the start of their journey. Write these down in the "Learned TMs" section of your sign-up. TMs will also be periodically obtained on your quest.

The following moves can be used by all Blood Pokemon, regardless of level:

Return
Frustration
Protect
Hidden Power
Secret Power
Rest
Attract
Endure
Captivate
Sleep Talk
Natural Gift
Substitute

During a battle, Blood Pokemon just attack each other, similarly to a regular fight. More honorable Pockechi will take turns attacking.

Note that you don't need to use moves. You could, for example, punch or kick an opponent.

Each Pockechi is aligned to an elemental alignment. They're the same type as the Pockechi they are. Fore example, a Sleeperchi (Hypno) would be a Psychic-type. Regular humans are treated as normal-types.

The seventeen villages:

Tai Village: A hodge-podge village filled with a diaspora of races. Normal, Fighting, and Dark typed Pockechi are common here, but there's no particular preference in typing.
Sakaki Village: A nice village with a forest surrounding it. Grass types are the most common Pockechi here, but you'll occasionally see a Ground type or two.
Embon Village: A village with a rather mean townsfolk. Fire types, Dark types, and Dragon types are common Pockechi. Most of the townsfolk are Lizardonchi.
Akkan Village: A village found near the Akkan River. Water-type Pockechi are common here.
Thene Village: One of the few villages with access to modern technology. A humongous lightningrod in the town square is used to summon thunder. Most of the townsfolk are Pikachi or Raichi, but plenty regular humans are around too. Electric-type Pockechi are common.
Ensek Village: A village well known for its honey. Female Pockechi are usually Agehuntchi, with one Beequenchi, while males are usually Redianchi. There's also a bit of a slave labor thing going on here (where Mitsuhonechi, referred to as Mitsus are used as feild workers and controlled by Beequenchi through a sort of mind control thing).
Aera Village: A windy place that is frequently hit by tornadoes. Airmdchi are common, but many other Flying-types are used as Pockechi as well.
Nucco Village: An abandoned village built near a power plant. It's almost completely empty, and has the highest Pokemon to human ratio of the seventeen villages. Poison and Steel-type Pockechi are the only types that can live here without dying from the constant noxious fumes that run through it.
Geon Village: A village in the middle of a desert. Ground-type Pockechi are common here, but Rock and Steel Pockechi are also popular choices.
Frieza Village: A cold village built on top of a frozen lake. Ice-type Pockechi (especially Yukemenekochi) are the most common here. It's taboo for Fire-types to step foot in the village.
Bold Village: A village known for its fantastic stone statues. Rock-type Pockechi are common here.
Sinak Village: A remote village. Many people who come here suffer from hallucinations. Psychic-types (and Dark-types) are immune to such illusions, so Psychic-type Pockechi are common.
Undri Village: A village where the dead are often buried in. Staying here for too long will make you go crazy. Ghost-type and Dark-type Pockechi are common here.
Beraun Village: A village where people beat each other up to survive. Fighting-type Pockechi (as well as other strong Pockechi) are common here.
Draco Village: A village steeped in tradition. Legend says that the village was created by a Rayquaza. Dragon-type Pockechi are very common here as a result of said legend.
Mett Village: A village where people live in steel domes adorned with spikes. This is one of the two villages with access to modern technology (the other being Thene Village). It is occasionally pelted with Sandstorms from the nearby Geon Desert. Steel-types often appear here.
Umbrea Village: A village where no sun ever shines. The entrance of the city is blocked off by guards, so entry is impossible.

Sound exciting!

Name:Darryl
Blood: Blood Leafeon(Leafiachi)
Age:19
Level:51
Personality:Darryl likes to spend his hours writing stories about his experiences. Other than that, he helps out the people of his town deal with their problems. Especially Pockechi who he helps cope with their new powers.
History:Darryl was told that he was going to a birthday party when he was eight. It turned out to be a trip to the Shrine of Blood. He was served a party platter of ritual with a side of poke-blood. Since then, he's always helped in hopes that nobody else would have to go through that ritual alone ever again
Appearance:Derryl has a leaf on his head like a normal Leafeon; when his hands grew back, he had these sort of hard, stiff leaves on his arms. Other than that, his hair has a green tint and he is 5 feet,8 inches tall. His clothing usually consists of a blue robe and tophat; both of which he uses to try and hide his leaves before showing the kids that have gone through the ritual what his changes are.
Learned TMs:Shadow Ball, Double Team, Flash

Ohhey, that's honestly an rather cool plot, and gruesome for the 'mon as well, I have a slight feeling FMC will be interested. :3

Name: Yuki
Blood: Froslass (Yukimenekochi)
Age: 15
Level: 42

Personality: Yuki is a gentle person, calm and collected, yet cold and distant. While he's generally willing to help, he never try to get to know people. Some people get the idea that he is antisocial, which is not the case, he's actually just shy, and have to get to know and trust people his own way before he opens up to them. He also have a liking for doing many feminine things, such as sewing, cooking and so on, he's also good at it.

History: Before he was born, Yuki's parents was pretty convinced he'd be born a girl, so they were a bit surprised he wasn't. But as it turned out he wouldn't be all that different from a girl, well not psychically, anyway. As his father was often working, the shy Yuki stayed home with his mother, helping her cook, sew, wash and such.
Eventually he had to go through the ritual at the shrine of Blood, something that was a little more then traumatic for him, even if he had been told what was going to happen. This caused him to become even more reserved, but he often trained his powers, as it fascinated him, and as it turned out, he because a fairly powerful.

Appearance: Yuki is a thin and feminine boy, but he's of average height. He have long white hair, which was actually red to begin with but as a result of his Froslass blood it turned white. His hair goes down to his waist, and is often covering parts of his face, but never his eyes or mouth, which mainly gives the impression he's hiding behind his hair, rather then looking ghastly.
(*Cough*TheGrudgeCough*)
Yuki's eyes are icy blue, and he have a pair of ice-like crystals sticking out of his head. He wears a long sleeved shirt that looks much like a kimono, as it covers a bit of his hands. For some reason, his fingernails are naturally icy-blue for some reason. He wears a pair of baggy red pants, which looks some sizes too big for him but stil looks comfortable.

Learned TMs: Ice Beam, Shadow Ball, Thunder.

Other: He's from Frieza Village.

Name: Leslie Young
Blood: Gallopchi (Rapidash)
Age (human years): 16
Level: 47

Personality: Leslie is rather awkward in social situations: she lacks the ability to start conversations, and in large crowds, she often sulks around the edges. She's incredibly quiet around people who don't know her, saying only what is necessary, and even then she opts to use hand gestures whenever possible. She's often described as 'boring' or 'anti-social' by a good portion of her village.

Leslie does have a broad ring of friends, most of which she knew from childhood. Whenever she's around them, she takes on a completely different personality: she's very animated, even erratic at times. She talks in a joking manner, and her words are often edged with sarcasm. She can be very stubborn and she can't resist a challenge, a trait that's been with her since she was born and one that was only strengthened by her blood ritual. Leslie loves to race, though there aren't many that can match up to her.

History: In short, Leslie was a nightmare for her parents. Nearly every conversation turned into an argument. They simply could not find a way to quell her fiery personality, and sadistic as it may seem, they couldn't wait for her blood ritual to come. They hoped - prayed - that the trauma would subdue the youngster, and in a way it did. Her flares of stubborn attitude were henceforth mixed with times when she barely spoke at all. Leslie doesn't really remember much about her ritual, just that she came back with a slightly altered appearance, new powers, and a scar and burn on her right shoulder, which she does her best to hide.

Leslie was fascinated by her new abilities, though. When her parents weren't looking, she'd set things on fire and watch them burn. In fact, she used her abilities so much that she learned to do some... unconventional things with them. For example, she's learned to spit a fireball in her hand, or to coat only one section of her body in flames as opposed to her entire body.

Appearance: Leslie is Asian, and a tad short for her age, reaching a height of about 5' 6". She has long black hair tipped with red that reaches halfway to her elbows. Her hair crease is to the left of her head, and she usually keeps her hair behind her ears and shoulders. Sometimes, she'll tie it up in a ponytail. Her eyes are narrow and black with a red corona around the pupil, but despite their colouration, they're very expressive. In fact, that goes for her entire face - her expressions are often rather exaggerated.

Leslie usually wears a grey hoodie over a white t-shirt, and dark-coloured sweat pants. Also, no matter the weather, Leslie is never seen wearing any shoes except running shoes. Even though her hair often falls in her eyes, she doesn't wear clips to hold it up. Overall, a simple, practical attire. She's never cared much about her clothes and such.

Unlike many Pockechi, Leslie didn't look very different after her ritual. All that changed was her hair colouration - as mentioned before, her hair became tipped in red - and the fact that if you look closely, her hair seems to be constantly in motion, stirring the slightest bit even in the absence of wind.

Learned TMs: Double Team, Will-o-Wisp, and Flamethrower.

Other: Her Hidden Power is Dragon-typed, and she lives in the village of Embon.

MG HOW DID YOU KNOW

Name: Aella Metaxas
Blood: Boomandachi (Blood Salamence)
Gender: Female
Age: 9
Level: 60

Personality: Aella is very sweet and innocent...most of the time. She can, however, switch between this personality and another; the dragon she has the blood of influences her, making her angry, temperamental, and violent. She is easily placated by offering sweets or a toy, however, and will follow the person giving her these objects until she enters a rage or is given something by another person.

History: Aella had a rather normal life for a child, hanging around and playing, running around, what have you. But at age eight, like all other children, was taken to the temple. But, unlike the other children, she knew what was coming, and was willing. She offered her hands to the Scyther, and didn't scream or cry as the blade came down, and drank the blood of the Salamence with what some would call greed. She welcomed the power of the mighty dragon into her body with a knowledge unusual of one her age. She trained hard to harness the beast withing for the year after she received this power, and learned to use it very well, though she was unable to keep the rage of teh dragon under control.

Appearance: Aella is a small, dainty girl, with long, curly blonde hair and big innocent eyes, which are, oddly, red. Her skin is a rich copper colour, and her face, torso, and arms have a few spots of dappled navy blue scales. Her fingers are rather long and thin, and tipped with sharp, short claws, and are completely covered in blue scales. She usually wears a yellow sundress with orange flowers on it, and a large flower in her long hair. A pair of leathery, orange, draconic wings extends from her shoulderblades, about two feet in length each.

Learned TMs: Flamethrower, Earthquake, Dragon Pulse

Other:
She's from (surpriiiise) Draco Village. I guess.

General note: There's a grand total of seventeen villages, and each of you has to belong to one of them. Sorry I didn't point this out earlier.

Anyway, for me...

Name: Perr
Blood: Ambipom
Age: 19
Level: 33
Personality: Perr's a very hyperactive sort of person. He's incredibly mischievous, using his long arms to steal things from other people. He's a kleptomaniac. However, he's a very nice person on the inside.
History: Perr doesn't remember the ritual much. All he can remember is that he was crying during it. Perr often was punished for stealing items from the townsfolk. During the night when the Tai Village was destroyed, Perr was searching for apples in the nearby forest. He was pretty amazed to see that the village was destroyed while he was gone.
Appearance: His arms are five feet long and are incredibly flexible. He has curly purple hair that seems to have a mind of its own.
Learned TMs: Grass Knot, U-Turn, Dig
Other: As previously mentioned, he's incredibly hyperactive. Being forced to sit still for over five minutes causes him to go coocoo.

Very cool idea!

Name: Donna Sol Piper

Blood: Blood Arcanine. (Windiechi)

Age (human years): 27

Level: 63.

Personality: A bit brash and abrasive, as well as close-minded, Donna is known for her strong opinions. She's somewhat of a tomboy as well, and is rather sarcastic and wise-cracking. She loves to fight and be in on the action. Really, she's the type that won't take crap from anyone and holds huge grudges. A fiery sort of personality, matching her Blood Pokemon quite muchly.

However, most of the time, she's calm and pleasant to be around, acting down to earth. She can be wise and insightful, having more experience in the matters of Blood Pokemon than most. Unless you disagree with her. She hates being proven wrong and anybody going against her ideals.

Most of all, she highly believes in people getting what they deserve, and in the concept of justice and honour. Donna has a strong moral compass and a fierce sense of duty with those whom she is loyal to.

History: Ever since she could remember, she has been a Blood Pokemon. The times before the age of 8 are quite blurry in her mind. She can't even really remember what happened on the day she became a Blood Pokemon or anything until the age of 15.

Mostly, she lived a normal life afterwards, aiding the town with her blood abilities. Her family taught her fierce values, which have been instilled in her quite stubbornly. To live up to the honour of having a beautiful Pokemon like Arcanine's blood run through her veins. She trained herself hard to control the strong abilities of the Legendary Pokemon, and was quite powerful already at a young age.

Seeing her great power, at the age of 19, she was given the task of being one of Embon Village's Protectors, who patrolled it for miscreants and criminals and wrongdoers and such. She rose through the ranks, and soon became a necessary part of its small police force, becoming a top Officer. Donna hasn't strayed from it since, and indeed, it was all she ever knew for a while.

Still, her memory is characterized by a series of peculiar gaps in certain places, and many events she can't remember.

Having heard about the destruction of Tai Village, she was utterly shocked, and immediately resolved to find out what the source of this darkness was, fearful of the destruction of the Village she had helped to protect for so long.

Appearance: Red long wild hair that looks a lot like an Arcanine's mane, average height, bit of a chubby build. Looks a tad younger than she really is, but not too much. Hazel eyes. Pointed elflike ears from the Arcanine blood, with three silver stud earrings in each. Arms are orange with black stripes on them, but not furry. Her outfit is a black bomber jacket with a cream-coloured fur collar (looks like this + fur collar), and black cargo pants. (look like this.)

Learned TMs: Overheat, Aerial Ace, Giga Impact.

Other: From Embon Village.

Reserve.

Name: Laine Greyson
Blood: Redianchi (Ledian)
Age: 17
Level: 55

Personality: Quiet and timid around those 'superior' to him, Laine is often talkative and friendly to those closer to his own rank and age. He'll blurt out facts when they pertain to the current discussion, if only slightly. Laine can pick up on the feelings of others rather easily, and is outright surprised when others seem like they don't know how a certain person is feeling. Laine will jump into a conversation like /that/ if it pertains to his interests, which include reading and drawing, but he's nonetheless soft–spoken. Under pressure or stress, however, Laine becomes snappish and hotheaded, prone to lashing out at those who don't deserve it. He can't really pull of the whole 'anger' thing, though, and ends up looking slightly unbalanced.

History: Laine grew up as a bit of a loner, keeping mostly to himself and keeping mostly quiet. Like all other children, he was dragged off at the unripe young age of eight, to participate in the unsettlingly violent ceremony, during which he was made to drink the pale-green blood of a Ledian. Although a bit uneasy about the grisliness of the ceremony, Laine eventually got over it like most of the village children, and continued with his life. After the experience, Laine spent much of his time flying above the treetops of his home village of Ensek, wondering at his newfound ability of flight. When Laine turned ten, his parents had another child, this time female, who is fast approaching her ceremony. His parents are a Redianchi and a Minomadamchi, respectively.

Appearance: The Redianchi has overly–large, baleful blue eyes, the effect of which is only increased by his thick-lensed glasses. His eyes always seem to look like they know something about you that you don't. His skin has a red quality to it, especially in low lighting. Laine wears long, loose clothing without much personality, although they're generally in bright colors like red or green. He's tall, and exactly what you would call 'gangly': His arms and legs are skinny, and his head seems a bit too large for his body. Laine's most striking feature, however, is the large, gossamer pair of wings that he usually keeps sheathed in their reddish coverings. Laine's forehead has a pair of large, rather obvious black antennae sprouting from it. He has a cheap-looking wristwatch with a scratch on the front, and variates between dirty black loafers and sandals. Laine loves to wear a worn, red-and-black checked fedora hat.

Learned TMs: Aerial Ace, Roost, Dig

Name: Daiwik
Blood: Lumineon (Neorantochi)
Age: Twenty-one
Level: 59 (I like Silver Wind OK)

Personality: Daiwik genuinely means well most of the time, but nothing he does ever seems to come off quite the right way. He's a bit awkward and unsure of himself. Personality-wise, at least. Don't bother asking him to make a decision, because he'll take a million years dithering over it and whoops suddenly everyone's dead, well done Daiwik. He's much more relaxed following the leader, and he'll follow that leader to the ends of the earth, okay. He'd probably be quite a good leader, if he didn't like to think things through so deeply all the time. Any thoughts he does (eventually) manage to convey are usually very intelligent-sounding. Whether they're actually of any worth depends on what we're talking about here. If you know Daiwik, to be honest, the only thing you'd probably know about him is that he's quite good at dancing about with that pretty magical water and wind of his. He's kind of a quiet, keeping-to-himself kind of guy. It happens when you didn't drink the blood of something cool. “I don't like Feraligtr” is apparently not a worthy excuse!

History: Daiwik's childhood is a bit nondescript. He's not very awesome so he was always kind of picked on by all the other children, so he has developed a talent for blending in as much as possible. Minus the big blue fins and he'd probably be all right. Unfortunately, like many children, his hands kind of got cut off at the Shrine of Blood. He knew it was coming, you know, but he still screamed because Scythers have massive bloody scythes. Equally unfortunately, he screamed the entire time while half-choking on some innocent Lumineon blood, which sort of enraged the rather elderly Scyther of Akkan Village. After his hands grew back there was a bit of a scuffle and Daiwik ended up with three of his fingers missing and horrendous scars marring his arms. Interestingly, his arm-fins were unharmed despite their delicate structure. How... nice. Needless to say that Scyther retired after that one.

After that event, Daiwik's life went back to rather average again. At first he had a lot of pity and attention due to his scars and lack of digits, but as he grew used to life this way, so did the other villagers. Nobody bothers him now, but he kind of wishes that sometimes he'd have some kind of spotlight. Currently, he spends a lot of his time by the riverbank just outside the village, pummelling innocent foliage and other inanimate objects with water and the occasional Silver Wind. His accuracy is top-notch, although he's certainly not as powerful as some of the other Pockechi. It comes with the wholly underappreciated Lumineon package.

Appearance: The massive scars across Daiwik's arms are apparently a bit off-putting for some people. That and he's also missing two fingers on his left hand and one on his right. He looks like he's been in the wars, really. Daiwik is quite tall and thin – although he's never measured himself, so he wouldn't know exactly – and has a fairly dark-skinned complexion. In the human world, you'd say 'Central Asian'. It's kept short because it's a bit crap if you're trying to aim massive jets of water at things that are on fire and your adolescent depression is shielding your eyes from the world. His eyes are dark pink. Shut up, it's not funny. However, they're still pretty dark and they'd just look a funny black colour if you weren't paying attention.

As for the influence of his Pockechi side? Daiwik has kind of useless fins running up his upper arms. They're very pretty and long, all shiny shades of blue, but they don't really do anything other than flap wildly about whenever he's doing something involving conjuring water from seemingly nowhere. If you're looking carefully, his skin might have a weird glossy sheen to it, but it's probably a trick of the light. Probably.

Learned TMs: Protect, Ice Beam, Hail
Other: From Akkan Village. Surprise!

I reject your official romanizations and substitute my own! D< Also ... I really can't read the official romanizations and recognize them. :( Use romaji! Then you don't have things like DUMBBER or FREEZER or GHOS!

Name: Mariya
Blood: nukeninchi (Shedinja)
Age: 22
Level: 43

Personality: She's fairly quiet and firmly believes in letting people come to their own conclusions. However, while she speaks carefully and rather infrequently, she's stubborn and likely to act on anything she decides quickly and without explanations. While she prefers courtesy while fighting, she dislikes fair fights: she might lose. She tends to assess people as potential opponents when she meets them, though she doesn't particularly enjoy fighting.
She doesn't like people where she can't see them.

History: Raised in a family of everyday artists (her mother builds things; her father paints and sculpts) who were more concerned with their work and hobbies than family values with the understanding that she'd not make any permanent mistakes with her life, she chose a shedinja's ichor instead of something more tangible for its narrow focus. Her skill at battling comes mainly from a decision that if someone wishes to make an issue of the general uselessness of shedinja, she might as well be able to defend herself, and she started traveling at around age sixteen. Not very far, mind you, but enough to encourage overall practicality.

Appearance: She's about five feet tall and slightly out of proportion; she looks like she hasn't finished growing and by this point she probably won't. However, she's very good at looking larger than she is, and the fact that her feet seem to not always touch the ground certainly doesn't hurt. She's usually dressed conservatively and sensibly.
The only obvious signs of her blood pokemon are that her arms are somewhat stubby and her eyes don't focus properly.

Learned TMs: Protect (or if Protect's default, Aerial Ace), X-Scissor, Shadow Claw
Other: Sakaki Village, I guess.

Name: Loretta
Blood: Kangaskhan (Garurachi)
Age: 35
Level: 63

Personality: Loretta is a down-to-earth woman and knows when to be serious. However, she is usually serious anyway whether it is the time to be or not. To those unfamiliar with Loretta, she is not the kindest woman. She meets new people with suspicion and is not quick to trust others. Predictably, she is protective of her home, her friends, and her belongings, which may come off to some as greedy or possessive. She is also good with children, which may or may not strike one as surprising if they know what her Blood Pokemon is. Though Loretta has no children of her own, she was a prominent midwife in Tai Village, and has helped raise children for many years. She can switch roles on a dime, from the tough, hard-working Loretta to the caring Momma Loretta.

She is also a fantastic cook, and loves to eat. Her specialty is in meaty dishes and stews.

History: As a little girl, Loretta was considered cute, at least by her elders. The defiant expression of a possessive Loretta struck many adults as charming. However, when it came to friends her age, she did not have many. The three she had stuck together, tighter than glue. As the eighth birthday of the oldest of the four drew near, the girls came to a resolve: each would attend eachothers' Blood Rituals to support eachother and ease their anxiety. Though the agreement was met unanimously, the idea was Loretta's. All four girls were seen at the Shrine of Blood for the next four years. Loretta was the third of her friends to undergo the process, and with their support, it went without a hitch.

And so the four friends remained so for several more years. However, as the natures of their Blood Pokemon became more apparent, they found eachother growing farther and farther apart. Eventually they went their separate ways, with only Loretta staying behind in Tai village. She never married but gladly assisted her fellow villagers in manual labor with her strength, and the village children with her motherly instinct. She lived simply and worked hard until that awful night...

It was not so long ago that one of her childhood friends had come down with a fatal illness- the oldest of the four, for which they made that resolve so long ago. The three friends left their villages to visit their friend for a final reunion, until their old friend passed on. They then said their farewells and parted ways once more.

When Loretta returned to her own village, she found her childhood home utterly destroyed, its residents gone. She, like the other horror-struck survivors, have not a clue who or what is to blame.

Appearance: The first thing one will usually notice about Loretta is her narrow, red-brown eyes, glaring upon the observer with an accusing countenance. Her ears are short, pointed, and angled slightly downwards. Framing her fleshy face are short-cut locks of deep brown hair, the sides of which curl around her ears. Her short bangs are neatly centered on her forehead. Loretta has always been a round specimen; on the short side, heavyset, with wide hips and broad shoulders, and a fittingly large bosom. Her once-human hands have thick palms of fleshy padding, and her fingers are short and stubby. Deceptively sharp claws grow from these short fingers. Her skin is of the tanned complexion of a hard worker. Though they are not very apparent unless she is nude or wearing tight clothing, on her hips and upper back are plates with rounded edges just under the skin, not unlike a Kangaskhan's.

Whether working indoors or outdoors, Loretta is almost always wearing some sort of apron. Her clothes beneath her apron tend to be simple, baggy garments. She finds tight clothes uncomfortable due to the plates on her body. She is usually barefoot, but she may wear sandals from time to time.

Learned TMs: Focus Punch, Brick Break, Earthquake (it is three TMs, right? I see some people giving four- if four is allowed I'll toss Natural Gift in there)
Other: A survivor from Tai Village.

Name: Marcus Isaiah

Blood: Yomawaruchi ... Duskull.

Age (human years): 18, 19 ish. That gangly awkward period between teenagerhood and adulthood where you aren't really given privilege of anything.

Level: 29

Personality: He's a pretty quiet kid. Not that he's against socializing or anything, it's just he thinks more than he talks -- he's a teenage boy, really, and there's only so many types of those. He's still pretty hung up about this blood pokemon thing. He's got a personality under his gloomy teenageriness, I swear, it's just that he's still learning to exercise it. He missed too many years of development.

History: It wasn't like he didn't know what he was doing. It just turned out that way. Things went slow after he performed the ritual with that duskull. He went home like nothing really happened, and, for a while, it didn't -- aside from the usual discoveries, the inadvertant cause of hallucinations, the levitation he struggled to control. He had been eight, then ten, then twelve. By then he was pretty much comfortable with the changes, and he couldn't argue with the black hair -- even the changes in eyesight weren't unbearable.

It was That day that he couldn't handle. He went to sleep one night, and the following morning he found an eye laying dead on his pillow. Still damp. He had touched it, picked it up, because you'd be surprised at what you do when you lose a part of yourself.

He didn't leave much for a few years, and when he did it was with low hats or hoods or whatever. He shied away from an eyepatch because it would be so obvious. He forgot to be a kid except for school -- his mother saw that as a spark of hope -- and pretended he didn't have to be. Then he found he couldn't be an adult and just tried to talk less.

Now he's more willing to show his face, but just barely. It's better when he travels.

Appearance: He's got that sort of look like he's lost something, but then, I guess I would too in his position. Tallish, lean, he hadn't much to take from a duskull that could much affect him, so he ended up more or less human. Except for the spot where his eye should be. The empty, wet, fleshy place on the right side of his face. He's got short, always-mussed dusty hair -- darker side of gray, and always in his eye(s). He looks like you might expect a doll left in the closet too long might. Everything's just the slightest bit grey. He seems drawn, suitably, to hooded sweatshirts.

Name: Carey Schmeling
Blood: Nyuurachi / Blood Sneasel
Age: 12
Level: 42

Personality: Carey is usually meek and obedient when there is someone stronger who wants her to do something. She is typically quiet and avoids attention, but she responds clearly when asked a question. Mainly, she spends her time paying attention to her surroundings, listening to and watching people. She is always on alert for potential danger, and if she decides something is dangerous enough, her typical response is lethal violence. She doesn't fight much, because she might get seriously injured, and if she does, she spends more time avoiding attacks than actually attacking, and her few attacks are likely to be lethal.

History: Carey born to a rather poor family in Tai, although there was always almost-enough food on the table and always enough beer to keep her father drunk when he wanted to be. Her father scared her because he was big and strong and had ursaring blood, and sometimes he broke things without meaning to, but he was not violent toward her. Her mother was a human and her brother was a gorubattochi, and they also sometimes broke things but not as often. They got angry at each other when something was broken, because it was usually a glass bottle that left dangerous shards everywhere, and if not it was something that would cost money to replace. So Carey was careful and didn't break anything, and she mostly avoided attention. She hid most of the time, when there was yelling, and usually stayed hidden a bit after that so someone would clean up the broken glass that might cut her feet. Even so, receiving cuts was not uncommon, and she learned not to cry about it because nobody else did.

She did not interact much with other people, so she did not become used to strangers. She knew of the upcoming ritual from her brother, who told her that her hands would be cut off and then she would drink blood and then they would grow back. He sometimes made her drink a little bit of blood so that she wouldn't vomit when the time came, since blood sometimes made people sick. When her other family members hunted, her brother brought back some blood and they would drink a little bit together. The cut he could not help her with because if the cuts were too deep, the blood would spurt and that was bad, because she would run out of blood and die. He also taught her what parts of her body should not touch broken glass because her blood might spurt. Carey was prepared for the ritual, therefore, and she obediently let her hands get cut off and drank the blood by holding it with her wrists the way her brother taught her. When her hands grew back, they were pale and had claws. She would later change colour, and her left ear would morph and grow over time.

After the ritual, her brother taught her to fight, and she practised at night when there was nobody looking. She started to sleep mostly during the day, and she became more comfortable at night. Her left ear grew, so she became sensitive to sound. She helped hunt game, sometimes, but usually she only hunted for her own food, because she was always hungry, especially once she started training. She became vicious toward the rattata that she often found in her house, not because she disliked them but because when she killed them, she could eat. She also learned to climb trees and find eggs, which she had a particular liking for.

Because she was young and weak, she was not yet expected to do very much, so she could do mostly as she pleased and train. Then Tai was destroyed and probably her family, too. When the surviving villagers went around to find others still alive, Carey obediently showed herself and was whisked off and for some reason it was assumed she would fight. Perhaps it had something to do with the blood under her claws.

Appearance: Carey is a small girl, looking perhaps eight years old, and as such she does not have very much physical strength compared to other Pockechi; perhaps she is as strong as a human adult, though she is much more agile. She has long black hair and red eyes, and her human left ear has been replaced by one that is long, red, and pointed. Her skin looks almost grey, although her hands are very pale. There is a yellow spot on her forehead and chest, both of which are usually covered by hair and clothes respectively. Her nails have been turned into claws, thick at the base and very sharp at the ends. Her palms have scars from when she still used to make fists in preparation for a fight, but there are deeper scars all over her feet and legs and some on her forearms.

Because she has an affinity toward cold and darkness, she is resistant to cold and finds warmth uncomfortable. She wears a worn t-shirt and shorts that her older brother wore a long time ago.

I'm sooooo in.... but for now, I must reserve...

Name: Ezio Malana
Blood:Strikechi/Scyther
Age:14
Level: 49

Personality: A calm and cool individual with a cocky attitude, but is also extremely lazy, as he prefers to dump his work onto others. He enjoys to fight and is quite competitive to just about anyone. He is a sarcastic person and is also quite the accomplished thief. Ezio is a stoic boy nonetheless, and tends to see the 'bleaker' side of things. Ezio relies on instinct rather then his intelligence when fight. But he is not exactly stupid. In fact, he is quite smart, but to lazy to put it into use. Due to being a notorious thief in his village, he learned to be stealthy, and loves to spy on people. He also has a unnatural fear of heights, and speaks with a slight Italian accent.

History: Not much is known before the Blood Ritual, but after that, everything to him was as vivid as yesterday. After noticing the power of a the Scyther that cut his hand, he decided to become one as best as he can. And he did.

Ezio was always a lazy, but successful thief, mostly because his family is poor. But when he underwent the blood ritual, his skills increased tenfold. With it, his family slowly became wealthy-er. Eventually, people became suspicious, and with extensive investigations, they were caught, and exiled from the village. For three years he and his parents lived in the wilderness around the Sakaki village, barely living.

Appearance: Ezio is a thin, nimble boy. Ezio is about one-and-a-half meters tall. Has black hair, has tan skin. He wears a black zip-up sweater with a plain navy blue T-shirt, blue jeans, and black running shoes. Ezio has jet-black hair that is slightly long, and brown eyes. He has a odd spiral scar around his right thigh, although, he has no idea on how he got it. Ezio also wears a plain black baseball cap, and a X-shaped metal pendant that is a family heirloom. From the blood ritual, he gain fangs, and scythes on the top of his wrists, as well as the retractable wings. However the process is very painful, so he almost never uses them.

Learned TMs: X-Scissor, Thief, and Shadow Claw.

Other: Is from Sakaki Village.

Name: Nicole Heideman
Blood: Blood Skarmory (Airmdchi)
Age (human years): 10
Level: 45 if we're going by Platinum/HG/SS, 50 if not.

Personality: Nicole is very childish, always either blissfully cheerful or immaturely whining, complaining or misbehaving. The "blissfully cheerful" periods made up most up her life up to the age of eight; however, as her new wings frustrated her more and more, she began to more frequently be sad or rebellious. Nicole is easily frustrated by almost anything, and it takes either soothing words and the promise of a reward or a long period of time for her to be willing to attempt the task again. While she loves her parents, she isn't extremely fond of their positive attitudes about her wings, or their rules, and would honestly rather live alone with her own rules. She is quite fond of her two older twin brothers, however; both are 16 and support her when she gets in trouble. One has stayed human, and one is Pidgeotchi (Blood Pidgeotto).

Her only compromising fear isn't really much of a fear; more that she is extremely squeamish. She hates to draw blood in battle and does not like to see it, and she isn't fond of insects (though not actual bug Pokemon).

Nicole is rather spiteful about her wings, and this attitude has made her dislike battling even more. While she did agree to train after her wings started to reflexively form Gusts when she grew agitated, this was for her own safety and sanity. She has grown quite powerful in her attempts, however, which her parents always tell her will someday become useful...

History: At the age of eight, Nicole was brought to the Shrine to be put through the Blood Pokemon ritual. Unfortunately, due to her squeamish nature, she not only screamed before the blade had even touched her wrists, but when she felt and saw her hands fall off she fainted, delaying the ceremony. When she thinks back (which happens very rarely - she doesn't like reliving the event), she believes this may be the cause to her...problem. For soon after the ritual, her wings began to grow in. Everything was normal, to be expected...until they kept growing.

When they stopped and were measured, all seemed fine, statistically - slightly above average-sized, but nothing unheard of. But Nicole, being a very petite girl, had trouble walking without making dramatic lunges in different directions every few minutes to keep from falling over - the appendages dramatically decreased her sense of balance. As well, due to their size and Nicole's tendency to get frustrated, she doubts that she will ever be capable of flight - all attempts have ended only a few inches off the ground before landing her in the dirt. She is also struggling to control them; reflexive movements, while usually quelled in the first few years of being a Blood Pokemon, still plague her and are especially destructive in crowded areas and stores.

Appearance: Nicole is a very small girl, only about 4'5", and her lack of muscle and confidence only boost this appearance. Nicole has red-orange hair, and while it cannot be described as 'flaming' or 'bright', it still stands out among her community. It tightly slicks back naturally, so she wears a band in her hair in hope of making it appear normal. She normally dresses in a long, dark grey skirt, chosen for how it ripples and flows when she walks. Despite he resistance, her parents make her wear shorts underneath in case she manages her flying unexpectedly. Her blouse, though a pale lilac and very dainty-looking (frills and all), is made of a tough, durable material like most other clothing sold to Pockechi.

Though her skin is tough, and shiny like metal on her arms and stomach, it is not usually noticed when one first sees Nicole. Her most noticeable Skarmory trait is the large, metallic wings sprouting from her shoulder blades. Each has four long, blade-like sections, all red but the topmost silver one. They are extremely large, each slightly longer than one of her outstretched arms. This presents many problems in Nicole's balance and control over them.
