• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

ILEX FOREST

ilexforest.png

A large forest bridges the gap between Azalea Town and Goldenrod City. This is the Ilex Forest, rumoured to be the home of the legendary Celebi. Unfortunately, one will not be able to catch the onion-headed pixie, but the forest itself is teeming with other Pokemon life. A truly valued part of Johto’s landscape – sacred, even – it is a wonder how it was legally converted into part of the Safari Zone’s areas.

Depending on the time of day, a Pokemon’s chance of appearing may be altered, or entirely new species will come out of hiding. The time of day will be changed periodically.

A trainer may choose to search the forest floor for $3. One may also decide to climb a tree to catch the furtive fliers hiding among leafy branches; however, due to additional safety precautions, the price is increased to $4. The price for searching the lake is the same as the forest floor; however, a Pokemon who can use Surf is required. If one does not have a Surfer, one can rent a boat and scuba gear for an additional $1. Finally, one may choose to forcibly shake a Pokemon out of a smaller tree. This requires a Pokemon who can learn Headbutt or Zen Headbutt, or a Pokemon between 80 and 130 lbs in weight, and, of course, $3. Any lighter and the Pokemon will have serious troubles shaking the tree; any heavier and the tree will outright snap and fall over.

Dragon of Fire

Turtwig (M)
Congratulations! You have received a male Turtwig. It seems rather nervous about the 'fire' part of your username.

Green

Psyduck (M)
You caught a male Psyduck! This little fellow was nearly swallowed by your Gyarados, but you managed to catch him just in time.

Aethelstan

Carnivine (M)
You caught a male Carnivine! You only noticed him when he lunged from a nearby bush and tried to bite your hand off.

Ruffledfeathers

Heracross (F)
You've obtained a shiny new female Heracross! Whoever knew such big bugs could fit in such small trees?

Blaziking

Ledyba (M)
You've caught a male Ledyba! He looked like he was about to go home and sleep for the day.

Mike the Foxhog

Marill (F)
You've caught a female Marill! She nearly flipped your Lotad over. Perhaps you should consider Surfing on a bigger Pokemon.

Kai

Er, I'm not sure if you meant the lake or the forest floor.

The forest floor doesn't require any Pokemon, so yeah. Only the small trees and the lake require a Pokemon.

Kai

Duskull (M)
You've caught a male Duskull! Seems like this one was out a bit early.
