“SCIENTIST’S LOG:

Jun. 11, 2010

Our experiment has begun. We have been ordered to research the infusion of Pokémon with music. Tests are underway as I write this.

-----------------------

Aug. 07, 2010

Research is going smoothly. However, the infusion process is giving us trouble. None of the specimens appear to react in any form to the music to which they are exposed. It is worrisome, but the head of R&D is coming up with a way to seamlessly infuse the specimens.

------------------------

Oct. 2, 2010

We’ve done it! We have successfully spliced the first Pokémon with a song! We have created the music type! It appears that the Pokémon, when infused, will undergo a transformation of sorts that will give it the characteristics of the song it has been infused with. For example: A Pokémon infused with a song of lament would gain dark, depressive characteristics, while a Pokémon spliced with a song about flying might grow wings and have air-like qualities. Tests are still being run at this time.”

A young woman with striking azure hair scanned these notes by the candlelight in the dark lab. The most notable thing about her was the signature jacket of a Rocket Executive. She looked up from the research papers at the tanks in front of her. In them, many Pokémon floated peacefully, attached to wires and machines and such. But they were still ALIVE. Even as one of the most esteemed Executives Team Rocket had to offer, this was twisted and wrong.

“I have to stop this…” she pulled a shining blade out of its sheath at her waist - usually just a decoration on the wall in her office, but tonight she needed it. After all, they’d never be able to prove it was her. They’d blame Lance and his army of Trainers. She hated them - Lance HAD tried to destroy all of humanity after all - but manipulating Pokémon like this she had always objected to.

And that was when the first tank shattered.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You wake up a few hours later. As one of the unsuspecting specimens, you have no idea what they did to you, only that you were normal one minute, then like this when you woke up. As you look around and see others like you, and the torn apart lab, you begin to realize what happened. And you wonder, is there a way to return to normal? And just what were you spliced with?
A large computer holds the answers. At first glance, it looks as if it's broken beyond repair due to the amount of damage done to it. But as you approach it, the exposed wires spark and it gives it's last message. A research log.
And that's when the journey to undo this mess starts. At the end, the log states that there is a shrine deep within the Snowpoint Temple, in Sinnoh. At this shrine, no matter how battered, bruised or deformed Pokemon have become, they leave it in a state that would give no inkling that anything at all had happened to the Pokemon. It returns them to normal.
And the Rockets aim to destroy it to eliminate any threat of Trainers finding their experiments and taking them to return to normal.
Now the journey to the shrine begins.
Or perhaps you're a human that's come across the wreckage? As you see these strange Pokemon, you wonder what happened to them. They retain the same basic build as their species, but they're so different at the same time...
What will you do? Will you run? Will you try to capture them? Or will you help them escape?
Reservin' my spot while I pick a character(s) woo.
Okay, first, a question! I dunno if you caught my IM about this, but I wanna know if I could use Zoroark at all.
And second, chara #1!
Name: Nevaeh
Gender: Female
Species: Wurmple
Appearance: Nevaeh is shaped mostly like your average Wurmple; a little under a foot long, kinda spiky, with ten legs and three horns, one on her forehead and two on the end of her tail, big round eyes, and a round face. Her underbelly is a sort of off-white colour, with a vague purple tint, while her upper body is a dark purple, like a shiny Wurmple. But her body is patterned with pitch-black musical notes, and a massive treble clef adorns her face. She also always seems to have a bit of her silk trailing off her tail-spikes.
Personality: uuuuh. PO please.
Song: Metamorphosis - Hilary Duff
Abilities: Nevaeh can force herself to 'evolve' into one of her final states (Beautifly, Dustox) at will. This transformation is temporary, however, and she will revert back if hurt enough. She skips the cocoon stage entirely this way. When in either form, her wings lack the normal patterns of the species, and instead are covered with 'sheet music', and a treble clef like the one on her forehead marks her belly. She also stays purple. She also gains the ability Cute Charm in this state.
Other: Due to her strange power, Nevaeh cannot evolve normally.
Reserve please. :D
Pokemon~
Name: V
Gender: Male
Species: Arcanine
Appearance: His fur has completely turned black, with dots of a crimson red spatter his belly. Crimson red fur also leads from his eyes down to the edge of his jaw, as if he were bleeding from his eyes. Though the song itself never mentions anything of this nature in its lyrics, the style, and even the instrumental structure of the music altered him both physically and mentally. The absence of percussion, one of the strongest parts of a song, in some parts, and presence in other parts has made his muscles horribly uneven, and the many voices used in the song gave V an extra pair of vocal cords, one sounding eerily similar to the main singer's voice, and the second set emits a deep throaty voice used in the back-up vocals in the chorus (all alone). The two voices both speak at once creating a creepy, and sometimes even downright scary vocal tone. The quality of his fur is similar to the strings on the guitars and other fine-stringed instruments used in the song, making it seem less organic and more manufactured.
Personality: His personality, like his appearance, is also heavily influenced by the song's structure. The quiet verses give him the tendency to be shy, but because of the heavy choruses, he is prone to fits of random anger and violence. The rest will be PO.
Song: The Used - The Bird and The Worm
Abilities: His only ability is unfortunately one he cannot control. His gaze will cripple the strongest of pokemon, and at times, completely imobilize them (Glances can cripple). As a toll, however, he turns to stone slowly when this happens, and it takes a while for his to "thaw out". If his entire body turns to stone, though, it will never change back. (He turns to stone).
Other: If you had to give him a title it would be "freak".
Name: Luka
Gender: female
Species: Riolu
Appearance: Where there is blue on a normal Riolu there is black and where there is normally black there is red. Luka is missing her right arm and left eye and has bandages wrapped around those areas. Her teeth are sharper than normal and her eyes are more blood red.
Personality: At first glance, Luka is very sweet and childish. She just wants to play with you and she's very lonely. Luka is, in reality, a sadist. She enjoys playing with her enemy and then cutting off their limbs. She giggles a lot and has a very childish voice. She might do on purpose to unnerve people, however. She sees fights as games, but she still wants to be normal.
Song: Circle You, Circle You by Miku Hatsune and Luka Megurine
Abilities: Luka can withstand a lot more damage then most Pokémon and can attack viciously with her teeth. Unfortunately, if you hit her where her arm or eye used to be, she'll go down very easily.
Other: Creepy songs, yay!
Name: Melissa "Liz" Hunter
Gender: Female
Species: Gardevoir (orly)
Appearance: Melissa have most of the looks of a normal Gardevoir left, in other words, a white humanoid with a long white skirt, big red eyes and the appearance of wearing a green top. However, because of the song splicing, Liz's skirt have changed into what resembles a pair of pants, her fingers have grown razor-sharp claws and she have grown fangs. Otherwise she looks just like any other Gardevoir, even if she do not act like one.
Personality: Because of the song splicing, Melissa now suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder, also known as multiple personality disorder. This is because her new powers clash with natural instincts and powers. She's usually like she was before the splicing, A rather sweet girl with strong bonds to her friends, but in general rather careless. However, at times she becomes highly aggressive, paranoid and extremely careful and attentive of her surroundings. Usually she manages to shake off her aggressive self, however if she is threatened it will take power immediately.
Song: Professional Killer - KMFDM
Abilities: Melissa's new powers are comparable to that of a predatory animal. With her claws and fangs, she can with ease rip up flesh, her physical strength have also increased, and while not impressive on a Pokémon standard, she can overpower a fully-grown man with no problems. She still have her psychic powers left, thought, but can use them in new ways, like for example attaching herself to walls or even ceilings. She can also jump great distances, and have very much improved smelling and hearing. She also have night-vision and incredibly fast reflexes.
In the end, her powers are to shape what the song she was spliced with is all about, the professional Killer. The kind that quietly stalks its prey in the night, tracking every move they make, never lifting their sight from their victim, and then striking silently, and quickly, leaving no traces and disappearing once again into the night.
@Cookies: Absolutely. It's been confirmed as a real Pokemon, so go ahead.
@Blaziking: By all means! Go ahead!
Everyone else is accepted/reserved <3
Reservificatius totalus.
Name: Tyblia
Gender: Female
Species: Cubone
Appearance: Tyblia's skin has grown paler and less healthy-looking, her body is thin and slightly emaciated, and her skull-helmet is spiky and uncomfortable-looking, as if some reptilian monstrosity spawned it, as opposed to looking like a Marowak's doing. Her bone-club is now jagged and sharpened at one end, and it's rather grey for a bone. Everything about her is... jagged and uneven-looking; one might describe her as a saurian zombie of some sort.
Personality: Tyblia is morose and unhelpful. She's a pessimist in the extreme, doubting anything good and expecting the worst. She keeps her thoughts to herself and will rarely join a conversation. She finds hyper people to be extremely annoying, and will probably rap them across the skull with her club in response.
Song: Bring Me to Life- Evanescence
Abilities: Tyblia can, with a rap of her bone-club, give objects and sleeping Pokémon limited sentience for a small amount of time. The effect varies with just how lifelike the object is, with statues (and unconscious creatures) working the best. These 'reanimated' beings follow her whims, and they react as quickly as she would, under the same circumstances. Any damage to an object will have a similar effect on her.
Other: lolwhut Blastoise has a female character
:D This is fantastic.
Name: Ace (Dubs himself "Ace of Spades")
Gender: Male
Species: Sableye
Appearance: Overall, Ace has the same overall outline as a Sableye, with a few differences. His body is a creamy white color, instead of being purple. The Ruby and Sapphire on his body are both shaped like Spades, and his hands each have a black "A" on them, which is where he got his name, Ace of Spades, from.
Personality: Very flirtatious with both females and males, and very manipulative. He is also a compulsive liar. His personality will mostly be played out.
Songs: Lady Gaga - Pokerface
Miranda Lambert - White Liar
Abilities: Ace possesses incredible amounts of luck, in part due to Poker Face being imbued into him. However, he is a gambling addict as well, because of the song. White Liar has caused him to be a compulsive liar, and the mixture with Poker Face allows him to lie very convincingly. This comes at a price, however, because he is so convincing at times, that he can believe the lies he tells.
Other: If this lasts long enough, I'm going to make him become schizophrenic.
I may make another character later.
Blaziking, that is automatically the best combination of songs. HEYYYYYY, WHITE LIAR~ TRUTH COMES OUT A LITTLE AT A TIIIME~!
Accepted. ^^
Name: Raviel
Gender: Male
Species: Zoroark
Appearance: Raviel is mostly very similar to most of his kind, with his rather human-shaped body, fox-like face, and massive poof of hairlike fur. His colouring is quite a bit different, however. His face is a light grey (though he still has the red eye and mouth markings), as is his thin body up to his hips, and his arms are the same shade as well, though his hands are black, as is his chest poof. His claws are blue, and a bit longer than normal, and the colours on his hair-fur are flipped (black with red markings).
Personality: PO please agian.
Song: Zydrate Anatomy - Repo! The Genetic Opera
Abilities: Raviel has two major abilities. First off, his mere presence is extremely addictive, anyone spending too much time around him going into a drug-like withdrawal after only a few minutes after leaving his side. The second is that his claws and fangs can inject a powerful drug. This drug is also highly addictive, and a painkiller so strong that is can cause a coma in weaker individuals.
Other: Since he doesn't have moves and such that we know of yet, he can use the following:
-Night Slash
-Fire Punch
-Wil-o-Wisp
-Slash
-Shadow Claw
-Fury Swipes
-Crunch
-Fire Fang
-Screech
Second character! :D
Pokemon~
Name: Lexia
Gender: Female (Males get boring after a while...)
Species: Pidgeot
Appearance: The harsh screaming vocals make everything about Lexia appear messy. Her feathers, usually tan on her underbelly, are a bright white color, and always out of place, the feathers that are usually a light brown have become a fiery blue, her head feathers, are uneven and ragged, and have also turned white and blue. Her talons are jagged and ugly, her beak is scratched and scarred, and her entire body is dull and dirt-stained. Overall she is an eyesore.
Personality: A pyromaniac. The rest will be PO.
Song: Thrice - The Flame Deluge
Abilities: Lexia's ability is not much of an ability, it is more a curse. Defined by the lines "My curse, this awful power to unmake", "You forced me onto those whose life you'd take", and "You let me loose upon their fragile flesh", this curse is controlled by one whose identity is unknown even to Lexia herself. When it is the will of the One, as Lexia calls it, she becomes an insanely destructive beast of flames. These flames, however, burn her as well as anyone else, and in her insane sprees of destruction, she rarely notices it. If she stays in this form too long, she is likely to burn herself to death. The only thing that can return her to her normal self is the mention of a lost Brother.
Other: Took me an hour to develop this character... >.>
Chaon: Accepted. >>
And now, my own form:
Name: Joanna "Johnny" Smith
Gender: Female
Species: Houndoom
Appearance: Joanna used to be a shiny Houndoom, and that's still noticeable in her sparkling fur and the abnormal yellow-orange of her muzzle and belly. The experimentation gave her multiple sets of eyes and horns, and turned her front half bright red (to match traditional depictions of the devil).
Her back end is designed similarly to a fiddle, with those little s shapes on her haunches and fibers for playing with on the backs of her legs. The tips of her knees and the top ankle... thing... they form the shape of the side of a violin if you were to trace over them. Her tail, while still keeping most of the point at the end, has become similar to that of a bow of the instrument in question, and she can rub the string side against the backs of her legs to produce a sound almost exactly like a violin. The fur on the back half of her body also feels like polished wood if you were to pet it while it was smoothed down, but in some light, looks like gold.
Alternatively, just look at this.
Personality: The song she was spliced with gave her a bit of a... complex. For some reason she seems to think about stealing souls a lot now. As for the rest... I'll PO this.
Song: The Devil Went Down To Georgia - The Charlie Daniels Band
Abilities: She can use many sound-related attacks now (Screech, Perish Song, Sonicboom, and Supersonic, to be exact), And her Fire-type attacks have increased in power (...and fire flew from his fingertips as he risened up his bow...). Any attempt to use Double Team results in a bunch of shadows that look halfway like herself and a transformed Houndour appearing and causing a loud cacophony, but they can also use weak attacks (...A band of demons joined in...). She also gained the ability to use the move Trump Card (...and the Devil deals the cards...).
Other: She considers her old trainer's last name to be her own, and desires to find her.
We'll start tomorrow, so get those forms in! I have a test to cram for. ><
rawr raw reserve power? o:
i'll do this when the party buzz wears off and it's not y'know two
Name: Neil 'Hotch" Hotchner
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Personality: A bit of a papa bear towards his own Pokemon, Hotch is a studious bookworm. Generally preferring to be quiet and analyze things to see outcomes. He's a man of science and likes to see how things work. Cold at first but always respectful, Hotch is not one to lose his head.
Appearance: Short cropped brown hair with shaggy bangs flopping over the bridge of his nose, brown-green eyes, square glasses, and is quite short and lanky for his age. Wears a pair of slacks, a button up shirt, and boots.
History: uhhh
Pokemon: Male Yanma named Dowd who usually uses Lock-On, and Female Sneasel named Sakuya. With a maid hat.
And if I may:
Name: Nathan
Gender: Male
Species: Girafarig
Appearance: His dominant half is much paler then usual and his white areas near the horns is scruffy. Due to the wild direction the song takes, his eyes are those of a madman. The main change is in his backside. The tail is almost squarerish and the eyes and covered by a blue film. The teeth and incredibly knifelike, built for precision. Tail's 'neck' is also very flexible and long. Typing changed from Normal/Psychic to Normal/dark because of the song's subject matter and transformation.
Personality: Normally Nathan has a warm, mild and sweet personality, if very smothering towards anyone he loves. He tries not to meddle with others' lives but he can't help it since he'd be devastated if anything at all happened. Once his 'killer' side takes over, however, it's a flipside: Cold, calculating and revels in the murders and death toll he raises. Stresses precision in this state. As such, Normal Nathan is stressed more and more because of the killings, which he is perfectly aware of.
Other: This part opp sorry D:
Name: Gupstach
Gender: Male
Species: Toxicroak
Appearance: Gupstach is significantly darker than a normal toxicroak, and his skin is even slimier than a normal one's. His throat-balloon is shaped like a heart, and his red parts are more of a pinkish hue. Gupstach is rather ravishing, and has the frog equivalent of a clefted chin and wavy hair.
Personality: Narcissistic and convinced in his ability to charm, Gupstach could come off as a little unpleasant to those around him for long enough. Gupstach is always looking for a good time, rolling with the punches and riding the waves of life. He doesn't mind a bumpy ride so long as it feels enough like a rollercoaster along the way. He genuinely thinks people like him, and sees no reason why this should not be so.
Song: Toxic Love - Ferngully Soundtrack
Abilities: Gupstach's poison has taken on the ability to increase attraction to himself when it enters an opponent's bloodstream. The infected one might not feel /love/, persay, but they will feel an extreme hesitance towards harming him further. He's simply so... sexy and charismatic now that people have a bit of a hard time hating him even when not affected by his poison. Gupstach's effects lessen with exposure, with total ineffectiveness generally being reached after a few hours. His new charming abilities, to say the least, don't affect his environment in the same way; plants seem to wither slightly at his approach, and Gupstach leaves a trail of slightly brown footsteps in the grass wherever he steps.
Other: He has Tim Curry's voice, of course. =]
