• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Congratulations to everyone that participated in NaNoWriMo! My friend participated and got around 10,000 words. She's depressed about it, but I tell her to cheer up because it's 10,000 words she wouldn't have written without Nano! I can't wait for Createspace!

I remember than in 2006, Snow Charizard wrote around 14,000 words one day and finished her novel in the middle on November. I was insanely jealous. I wrote around 10,000 words on one November 30th, eventually just having lots of filler words. You can write 10,000 words, even if you don't care...

Plenty of people. I did it! If it weren't for NaNo's weird counter that adds 200 words to my count (I have 50,001 words on NaNo, 49,851 on Word) I would have had to make a 200-word afterword or something because I juiced my novel's ending for all that it was worth. This is the first time that I finished NaNo...

Congratulations, Phoenixsong! NaNo victories are always inspiring. ;D I'm at 46,000 words thanks to a monster writing spree I had today. Whoo! I'm hoping to maybe finish by tonight, but if not, I've got tomorrow! Good luck to everyone here!

o.o 34,000 words, 2,000 of which come from reviews of the Lion King and Wall-E. :x Here's a sample of the horribleness just so you can get a feel for how uninspired I am.

The counter inreases my word count by like, 20. :D

I am incredibly behind (9,000 words) so I'm going to try and break through to the unattainable: 15,000 by Sunday. I wrote 2,000 words yesterday, 1,000 today, and aiming for 6,000 by Midnight on Sunday. Zeta's plan has inspired me. Saturday: 1) Do Homework (curse you French and Chemistry) 2)...

There are other people way behind on their word count, too? :D 4000! The plot is advancing really slowly. Considering that there aren't that many events in my book this is worrying since I'd like to actually finish a novel this year rather than stop halfway through.

    NaNoWriMo 2009

3381 words so far. I've technically won NaNo 3 times, but aparrently I didn't log in last year because I don't have the '08 ribbon. :x

One project we can do for my global studies is an adaptation of Voltaire's "Candide" into book form. I realized the thing took place around November, and ding-ding-ding! I'm going schoolwork and writing a novel! The only problem is that I am plotlesssss~ I wanted to finish my last-year NaNo...
