Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Bleh, you don't need layers. Just give me a decently sized canvas, a couple of selection tools, a paint bucket, and a pencil tool. Anyone else agree with me here? ....I suppose I should get to some spriting. Don't think I've done anything in a while, and I do have a request to make.

@wolftamer: The revamped sprites look much better than your older ones. The highlighting on Megafist looks a bit wonky though. There's a random pixel or two of light on his left leg(our right), and the highlight down the side of the right leg(our left) doesn't really seem smooth enough. Also...

Yellow Lapras pose. You know, I'm begining to wonder why I even made a sprite thread in the first place if I'm just going to come here to post my crap instead of in my actual topic. Oh well. XD

    It's done.

    The Spriter's Showcase!

Arcanine WIP. Just wanted to get some general critique on the outline. On that note, all of the light and dark parts were there so I could have an easier time doing the outline(meaning that it is definitely not how it will be shaded). The pose is the Gold version pose.

In my opinion, dithering when done correctly can add depth to a sprite. The only problem is that most of the Pokemon spriting styles do not use heavy dithering. The only one that I can think of that uses heavy dithering is the G/S/C sprites, and that is due to a limited pallete. If you are going...

Zoroark back sprite based on prerelease images.

    It's finished, I guess.

    The Spriter's Showcase!

Edited it a bit. I forget to add color to the outline, so I went ahead and put it in. Old on left, new on the right. I made the newer one after I got a comment saying my Gible was too round. I actually agree with that, it looks much better when it isn't as round.

Still a WIP. Any tips with the belly highlights? I'm trying to make it look lighter without making it difficult to discern between the yellow orange and the red.

You are a little young, so she didn't want to offend you. Same applies to me as well. Trust me, just listen to any advice you are given. It'll help in the long run.

Random Yellow revamp I did. Cause I was bored. The Yellow Gengar sprite actually works well with the G/S style shading, once you figure out where you want to put the color and dithering.

There is shading, she just used a very light color. And the point of a revamp is just to update an old sprite to a newer style, so there isn't much reason for her to reposition the finger.

More sprites! This time, they are animated! What I did was take the HG/SS sprites and made additional frames of animation for them in the manner of the Crystal sprites(in fact, I based the new frames off the older ones!). Then I animated them in GIMP. Also, lol at the simultaneous...

    The Spriter's Showcase!

Well, sorry if I sounded a bit harsh. I'm just trying to help, and sometimes the best way is just to point out how you are doing things wrong and how you can improve. Just don't drag the pencil tool around the outline. It looks nicer if you do it pixel by pixel. ;D @Starly: They look fine, but...

    The Spriter's Showcase!

That outline needs a lot of work. It looks like you just took the pencil tool and dragged it along the image. From the looks of things, you work in paint. Pixel Overs are easier to do in a more advance program(Like Paint.net or GIMP), but since you choose to work with paint... Well, firstly...

    The Spriter's Showcase!

Emerald Sneasel spliced with R/S Gligar wings, Emerald Absol tail, D/P Absol horn...thingy, and Fr/Lg Meowth coin. Color scheme is mainly based on Shiny Absol's, shaded in D/P style. Yes I realize the tail looks a bit awkward. Man, it's been a while since I've done a basic splice. Sometimes it...

Looks great. The frame 2 sprite has a leftover white spot between the legs. EDIT: Yeah, did I say I was working on a Charizard scratch? Gah, just another thing I need to finish, I guess.

    The Spriter's Showcase!

Uh, I don't usually do trainers an' stuff, so I can't be of much help here. I'm almost done with Charizard. I just have to finish shading it. I'll upload it tomorrow.

    The Spriter's Showcase!

Well, right around his head, the shade gets a bit monotonous. It could use maybe one darker patch and on lighter patch to break things up, placed in the proper spots of course. Charizard WIP. I'm not going to limit myself with this one, so hopefully it'll turn out great. Mainly done for more...
