• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Blaziking vs. Kindling Queen

Heehee, good boy Fafneer! And yes Kratos, that's what I meant.

Now-we'll handle this Bubblebeam by countering with Swift. Then advance on the Remoraid and end this match with Solar Beam.

Arena: Flooded City

After a massive downpour of rain that lasted for days, a large city became covered in feet of water. The arena is in a small neighborhood with homes clustered together making a 70ft x 40ft arena on the rooftops of these homes. There are tips of telephone poles reaching about 3 feet out of the water. On the rooftop, there are some areas with small, 2 foot puddles, enough for a small water Pokemon to fit in. Because the water rushing beside the building carries some disease ridden corpses and some sewage water, moves that are used by drawing water (i.e Surf, Muddy Water, Water Pulse) have a chance of poisoning the opponent. If a water type Pokemon stays in the water too long, the chance increases (5% chance increase every round) that they may become badly poisoned. Every round there is a 5% chance that water could rush for one round, causing small Pokemon in the water to be pulled away by the tide, thus causing the Pokemon to have a harder time attacking while attempting to stay where they are in the water. Because of this, 2% of damage from attacks from this Pokemon are taken off if this occcurs.

Round Twelve: Begin

It takes every ounce of resolve she can muster, but Swimmy manages to force another stream of energy bubbles out of her mouth at her opponent. Fafneer quickly counters with an energy barrage of his own, his bright, glowing projectiles flying through the air in the shape of little stars. The stars easily slice into the bubbles and continue on their way into Swimmy's body, but they can't destroy all of them; Fafneer yelps as the bubbles that remain pop painfully all over his face.

Swimmy is blacking out and can barely see or move at this point. Unpleasant gulping and rasping noises can be heard as she tries desperately to get more oxygen into her body, but without water covering her this is exceedingly difficult. The Remoraid shuts her eyes against the glare of the sun and tries to home in on her opponent's energy signature again, hoping for a chance to hit him one last time before herstrength gives out.

But the chance never comes. Fafneer shakes his head vigorously and then begins to glow again, collected sunlight causing his black fur to shine like silver. The solarbeam he fires down into the depression on the roof is just as terrifyingly hot as the others, bombarding Swimmy with more heat and power than her singed, dried-out body can take. The tiles underneath her finally give way after repeated blasts and crack, causing the fish Pokémon to fall into the flooded attic below. By the time she hits the water, however, it is too late. Swimmy is completely unconscious.

Round Twelve: Close
