• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Since it's your first submitted fake, yes. You get it for free, everyone else has to pay the $30 for it (and you do as well if you want to buy any more after the first). You also have to pay for any other fakes you submit after Myrid.

However, you can't claim your free Myrid or have it put up for sale in the Registration Office unless you've completed two battles, so I believe if you just pick two and link to them here you should be able to take those and our approval posts and get it approved.

Um. I was wondering if it would be possible to remove the Flying-type from Spraylet. Since no one's had a chance to use it yet, it's not as though it would affect anything. If not then whatever, but if I can I'd like to make it pure Water.

Ok. I believe...now that I've completed two more battles...I can try to create another Fakemon.

Yes. I'm trying for this one again...just with a new over haul.

Urk, yes; at the moment I'm just unhappy because Veekun still doesn't let you search by platinum move tutor attacks (typing "heat wave" and selecting method "tutor" in the attack search finds no results), so I can't just update the special link in the first post to include all of them or easily decide if I want to add any to the universals list. You're free to use them, though, yes.

moon-panther

Looks fine to me. You have my approval.

Okay, awesome. Also, you could just link to the Bulbapedia article and tell people which lists not to pick from (XD, Crystal, etc.) until Eevee fixes everything that's wrong with the tutor moves. Or something, I dunno.

Before I forget to ask again, is it two completed battles per Pokémon or just two to start getting anything approved?

Anyway, moony, just one question. Is the moon thing that Tsuki sits on susceptible to damage? In general, I think it looks good, so it's approved and can be added to the registration office, unless you'd like to hold off and look at the Platinum tutor moves first.

Ehhh, I'll probably just wait until he fixes his tutor move search, unless that turns out to take ages. I know he's working on revamping search stuff, so.

Before I forget to ask again, is it two completed battles per Pokémon or just two to start getting anything approved?
Just two completed for your first, no limit after that. If it turns out to be a problem (i.e. I get the same people submitting a very large number of fakes), then I might impose some restriction on fakes after the first, but at the moment there are none.

rasqueon-alraunne.png
(sprite by Alraunne) - Artwork - Icon (by Blastoise)

Rasqueon is a large, vaguely leonine Pokémon that stands almost six feet tall. It has a catlike head with large upper canines, and its head and neck are covered with a rust-red mane. It has six sturdy legs that end in thick claws, but it cannot move very quickly--it is capable of short bursts of speed when angry and/or charging, but its legs are too awkwardly positioned for it to do any prolonged running. Most of its body is covered in leathery, terra cotta-colored skin; its back, from the base of its neck to the base of its tail, is protected by overlapping plates of black metal armor. Its long tail ends in a blade-like barb made of the same material. A small reservoir of venom is hidden in the tail barb.

Pokédex Data:

Rasqueon are aggressive and greedy Pokémon that cannot stand any potential competition. These solitary creatures will stake out ranges that can run almost the full length of a river or over several small bodies of water, much larger than a single Rasqueon probably needs, and will attempt to kill anything they catch within their sprawling territories.

--

A Rasqueon will pursue a trespasser relentlessly and all throughout its range: over land, in the water, through a forest, anywhere. It will slow down after its initial charge and can be outrun, but if the intruder remains in the Rasqueon's territory then it WILL be found and attacked.

Notes: One more way for fighting-types to totally run me over, awesome.

Mehhh, I'm a little unhappy about the spread of energy attacks available on this guy, but that's dragons for you, I suppose. Approved.

I don't mind changing some of them if it's a big deal; its original movepool is wide enough that I can find things to substitute if need be. I was a little iffy about Flamethrower anyway, for example, so I can switch it with Dragon Pulse or something.

Physical Description:

(Sprites by me; party icon by Squornshellous Beta)

Sheebit is small and stoutly built, resembling a rabbit. Its body is mainly covered in brown fur, but the tips of its ears, paws, and tails are cream-colored. It has large ears and because of this quite refined hearing. On its head are two large, curled horns like those of a ram. Sheebit tend to keep their horns very sharp and therefore they are very powerful weapons at close range. They also protect from attacks to the side and top of the head. Sheebits have two little tails which at this evolutionary stage serve little purpose.

Pokédex Data:
TCoDASB: SHEEBIT have a very calm temperament and are often given to beginning trainers. Their horns grow in very early, and protect the head from harm after accidental falls from rocky precipices.

Amber: um something

Notes: Sheebit is a starter in Pokemon Amber, an old game project that has since been abandoned (the trio goes ground>rock>ice). It's one of my favourite fakemon.

Physical Description:

Terrabbit is much longer-limbed and sleeker than Sheebit. Its fur is still the same shade of brown, but now it has a cream underbelly as well as cream spots all over its body. Terrabbit's horns can fork at the ends and both end in sharp points. It moves by jumping like a kangaroo and is usually on two legs when doing so, but at times of rest will sometimes revert to four legs. Its tails are very large and flexible, and it uses them to attack with or to support itself.

Pokédex Data:
TCoDASB: TERRABBIT have impeccable balance. They have been known to be able to stand on a point the size of a quarter. There has never been a documented record of one slipping.

Amber: Large packs of SHEEBIT, TERRABBIT, and LAISSURE roam the mountain steppes of Kosek. TERRABBIT occupy the body of these packs, taking care of the baby SHEEBIT as well as fighting predators.

Notes: And Kosek is the region they're from. I like Terrabbit, but the whole point of the line really is...

Laissure is on all fours again. Its markings are similar to Terrabbits, with rows of cream spots running down each of its legs. Its horns are very long, and the curve out from the head and then in on themselves, with a second point sticking straight forward. It has bony protrusions shaped like rings all along its spine. Its tails are ridiculously huge.

Pokédex Data:
TCoDASB: LAISSURE's power is said to be second only to legendary Pokemon. It creates earthquakes by pounding the ground with its huge tails.

Amber: It is said that LAISSURE was once a legendary Pokemon, but it was overthrown and stripped of its powers. It still rules the mountains, leading packs of SHEEBIT and TERRABBIT.

Notes: Pity I couldn't put in Laissure's signature move, Subduction. :< Ah well. I'm hoping Laissure is in the range for this ASB? It may be CAPABLE OF GREAT DESTRUCTION, but then again it's fully evolved so yeah. I'll take what you throw at me in terms of critique. :x

7/10/09-- edited and updated, swapped Bone Rush for Swords Dance. I need to update Terrabbit and Laissure's sprites, too. ;_; Edited again with base stats, took out Swords Dance as a TM for Laissure because it's already an egg move.

10/24/10-- Added party icons by myself and Squornshellous Beta.

Now that I've completed two battles (phew, that took a while) and this thread was conveniently bumped for me, I was hoping I could take a shot at getting this approved again. :3?

Nah, it's not a big deal, really. General lack of support moves helps balance it a bit.

Involuntary Twitch

You're missing base stats for those three. It looks like you're one TM over the limit on Laissure as well, but other than that they're fine so far.

Edited with base stats and removed Swords Dance from Laissure because it's already an Egg Move. Stats are based on the Mudkip line (same totals) but shifted around. Okay?

The moon can't be separated from the Tsuki at all. They are kinda glued together by sheer psychic. So the little cat can't fall off the moon. And the moon and the Cat are connected mentally.

Hope that helps~

Involuntary Twitch

Great; looks fine to me, then.

moon-panther

If you could specify that somewhere in the pokémon's actual physical description, that would be excellent.
