• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Steam Canyon

Moony:

You keep looking, but your search turns up...even more nothing! Man, it is not your day. Keep looking? (Continues: 3)

Moony:

As you move ever deeper into the pits, you still find, oddly, Nothing. You scream out in rage. Keep going? (Continues: 2)

Moony:

Annoyed and on the verge of smashing something (like the area owner's face) you keep going. You poke around behind rocks and in cracks, and uncover...Nothing. More screaming in rage. Keep going? (Continues: 1)

You have the most terrible luck, moony xDDD

Moony:

As you keep looking, you realize that you are quite lost by now. The rock walls of the cavern all look the same... You spin around and try and look for the exit, but you see only red stones and lava pools. Pepper barks and sniffs at the ground, but she can't seems to pick up a good smell. Then something shining in the distance catches your eye; a massive mass of machinery is rising up to your left.

There's a figure holding a large wrench working on it, too! You stare at them for a moment, but the heat-shimmers and distance makes it hard to make out what they look like. Pepper starts to bark in their direction, and the figure stops working. What do you do?

(RP TIME GO! And it seems your luck has turned around! You're starting to uncover the secrets of the Canyon~)

"...Good work Pepper."

I walk over to the figure, now that they had seen me and have stopped working. As carefully walk along the path and stop short of the person, studying the machine silently. I then slide my eyes toward the figure and study them.

"How much are you paid to keep this place running. And what does this machine do anyways."

Moony:

The figure turns out to be a humanoid male Flareon, dressed in a set of leather overalls with many metal bits and a hole for the large fluffy tail, large goggles, leather gloves, and thick work boots. He's still holding the wrench in his hand, though he's lowered it now. He's staring at you, puzzled, then he glances at Pepper.

Eventually, a look of recognition passes over his face.

"You must be one of the humans who come here. It's very dangerous to be here you know," he says. His voice has a heavy accent.

"It's my job to take care of the Machine. It keeps the lava from inside the mountain from pouring out and destroying our homes," He cocks a grin. "And it can play a game, if you put some of our money in it. The children are fond of it. Why are you here?"

A look of surprise is on my face when I see the figure was a pokemorph. I shakes the shock off and clear my throat, looking back at the machine.

"I figured it was dangerous since this is covered in lava...or magma, whatever. You said it was a game? And you...run this game?"

I shake my head, folding my arms and look down at Pepper.

" I came here by accident to tell the truth..."

Male Rattata.... no. I need a Shrine to the RNG Gods.

Keep going. (Post you made for me was top of page 14 btw)

Moony:

The Flareon-man smiles even wider, and puts his wrench in a pocket of his overalls. He motions to a large chunk of machinery beside him, which bears a slot and a few symbols carved into it.

"It runs itself, mostly. How's about this? I let you have a play without needing Gears, though it'll still cost you some human cash, or I can give you a gift. I'll escort you out, no matter what you choose." He says.

(Choice time! He gives you a gift, or you get a play on the machine for no Gears (You will still have to pay from 1-10 $ though))

Brock:

Moving on, you stumble into another section of the cave, and this one is, oddly, very brightly lit. It seems a Solrock is the cause! Catch it, or go on? (Continues: 2)

I smirk at the kind Flareon, getting over the fact that he was a Poke'Morph.

"I think I'll take the other option. The machine looks awesome and such, but how many times do I get to receive a gift from a charming Flareon?"

Moony:

Smiling, the Flareon-man digs a hand around in his pocket in his overalls for a minute, then pulls out a balled fist. He opens his hand to reveal your gift...

You receive one (1) Gold Gear, one (1) Fire Stone, and one (1) Red Shard.

After handing you the objects, the Flareon escorts you out of the caverns, smiling. he waves goodbye as you leave.
