Round 1:
A dim, yellow light hangs over the arena. Two trainers walk onto a brown, rocky field chatting to each other as friends. A small, yellow duck with a rather large beak walks onto the field, two purple flags strapped to his back. He signals for the trainers to go to their respective sides of the field, before walking over to the side of the pitch. The two trainers call out their Pokèmon, a small brown furry pig on one side and what appears to be a walking egg on the other. The referee pulls out his flags and waves them down, signalling for the battle to commence.
Swinub starts off the action, running towards Aglaia at a fast pace, dust flying out behind him. Aglaia panics and tries to run away from the big scary fur pig, but ends up being slammed in the back. The tremendous force sends her flying into a nearby rock, while Swinub skids back along the ground, his head throbbing from hitting an overly large egg. Aglaia stands up, resentful of the Swinub, and starts waggling her little fingers. They quickly gain a whitish glow, and she summons an attack from the possible move pool. The whitish glow quickly expands into a ball of blindingly bright light gathered around Aglaia's fist, and Aglaia starts to run at Swinub, albeit slowly. Swinub watches as the Togepi approaches, and nimbly jumps out of the way, while Aglaia's punch colliding with blistering force into another rock, shattering it into hundreds of pieces.

Aglaia toddles back to her position on the other side of the playing field, allowing Swinub to make his next move. He takes his shadow, and somehow gives it an extra dimension. Swinub frowns slightly. 'Needs more brown'. He focuses on the colour of his fur, mainly the shade of brown. The substitute turns a murky brown colour. Satisfied with his work, Swinub runs off to hide somewhere, presumably behind a rock. Algaia squints at Swinub. Was something different about him? He seemed kind of... odd. She shrugged. She had to get on with her attack, never mind if her opponent looked a bit off. She opened her mouth wide and put her hand over her mouth, letting a loud yawn escape. Swinub didn't move. Aglaia stared, confused. Did it not work? Maybe Swinub wasn't paying attention.

Swinub quickly runs out, commanding his Substitute to hide while he makes his move. He struts towards Aglaia, trying to be as condescending as he can. 'H, i don;t know why your trainer even
bothers to send you out into battle. You're so weak and puny, you've barely landed a scratch on me, you weak baby.' he says, trying to lift his head up, mainly resulting with Swinub lifting his whole upper body up. Aglaia flies into a blinding rage. 'Weak! Me! Why that stupid...!' she thinks to herself. She tries to calm down and keep her thoughts straight, but her mind is clouded by furious anger. She looks back at Swinub, watching as he runs behind a rock, then comes out again, looking, again, slightly off. Algaia doesn't care though. She's to angry to care at the moment. She runs over to Swinub, nearly tripping over a couple of times, and grabs him by the fur on his back. She swings him around and flings him with full force onto the nearest rock. However, instead of the rock shattering on impact, Swinub seems to explode in a shower of darkness, leaving the rock unscathed. Swinub curses under his breath, and runs out from his hiding place.
The referee pulls out his flags again and waves them down and blows his whistle, signalling for the round to end.
