3vs3 single
Style: Set
DQ: 5 Days
Damage Cap: 40%
Banned Moves: OHKO's, 'chills' limited to 3/pokémon
Arena: Jello Square of Gigantism
To indulge my love of all things Jello and Crazy Linoone's obsession with food-based fields, the following field has been made;
A humongous, wiggling, jiggling, shivering cube of gelatin, plopped down in the very deserted clearing that once held an oversized, piping-hot blueberry pie. The slippery surface of the delectable dessert itself is divided in half, each half a color of a battler's choosing. Any Pokémon that would be otherwise forced to fall off of the battlefield will be stopped by the mystical Jello spirits protecting the area and lifted back up. The arena itself is large enough for a battle between a couple of Snorlax, with room to spare.
Every round, the Jello flavor on the field will change. The changes are as follows, and each has a 10% chance of happening:
Clear- No effect.
Cherry- +1 attack to anyone who eats it.
Blue Rasberry- +1 defense to anyone who eats it.
Strawberry- +1 special attack to anyone who eats it.
Lime- +1 special defense to anyone who eats it.
Piña Colada-tov Cocktail- Explosive; causes roughly 5% typless damage if thrown, plus the normal damage taken from a projectile; highly combustable and causes mild heartburn if consumed.
Root Beer- Causes all Pokémon (and trainers) to float slightly and weigh one-fourth of normal weight for the entire round.
Coffee- Gives standard level of energy for a chill and does not count towards chill counter. Causes mild confusion three actions after consumption.
Green Tea- Cures any status effects other than Freeze and Attracted when eaten. Gives 5% health to all pokémon the first time it appears.
Pudding- The field turns to Jello-brand pudding for the round, but magically retains its cube shape, except on the top. -1 speed to Pokémon.
Watermelon- Increases the power of all projectile attacks by x1.5.
There is an equal chance of all of the flavor changes, but if the referee rolls the same flavor as the previous round, he/she must reroll until a different one is randomly selected. In addition, chills are replaced by the order to eat jello, which replenishes the same amount of energy as a chill would.
Other: Large puddles of melted jello will be automatically provided for water-dependent Pokémon. These can also be requested at the release of any Pokémon. Any and all water-type moves will immediately turn to jello-juice as it leaves the user's various orifices, and moves like Surf (which are fueled by a rather large part of the field liquifying) will form out of liquified gelatin.

Mind Reader ~ Focus Blast ~ Vacuum Wave
As Phoebe tries desperately to force her muscles to cooperate, Riley fights off the urge to laugh like crazy at the struggling fishie and instead watches her intently, studying her with a supersensitive inner eye. He looks directly into her mind, taking note of her intentions and memorising her planned movements. While he's doing that, Phoebe finally wins some leeway in her battle with paralysis, leaping forward and thrashing wildly. Riley is taken completely by surprise; Phoebe had been planning to stay in place wriggling for a while longer when he was reading her mind. Her conduct is untoward, and above all rude. She thrashes in Riley's face with her fins and tail desperately, knocking him to the ground and slapping her body across his face, taking out all her frustration at
an entire missed round. Finally Riley manages to swat her away, and she flops back onto the jello and writhes stiffly.
Riley, meanwhile, is decidedly ticked off from his beating. His eyes and paws begin to glow with a dark brown aura, forming into massive orbs cloaking his clenched fists. The jello quivers madly from the pulsating pure energy shaking Riley's body, and noticing this, Phoebe tries desperately to escape from its path. However her body locks up from paralysis before she can get any reasonable distance away, and regardless Riley swivels round automatically to face her, having memorised her movement patterns earlier. The fish can do nothing but watch as the blur of brown energy that Riley has become shines ever brighter, grunting from exertion before it can take no more and must offload the massive charge of energy accumulated in its body. Clasping his hands together, Riley channels the energy into his palms, forming it into an orb, and with a roar hurls it at his opponent. The orb strikes with a cataclysmic
BOOM!, washing the entire arena with a blinding white light, and putting so much pressure on the jello that it begins to churn with an earthquake-like ferocity. The trainers try desperately to stand their ground until the eruption ceases, revealing a somewhat tired-looking Riolu and a badly beaten Feebas a few yards away from him.
Dazed, Phoebe writhes around slightly, slowly realising her muscles are completely free to move once again. Her delight is stilted, however, as Riley decides he's not quite done making her life a misery. He punches the air quickly and frantically, creating a whirling vortex of air which pulls in Phoebe, spinning her through the air before Riley unleashes a burst of fighting energy that sends her flying back to her place. Phoebe lands on the jello with a loud
slap, and almost blacks out from the immense pain she's under; however despite her pathetically cornered position, she is driven by the determination to get some measure of revenge on Riley before going down. Weakly tossing herself into the air, she plops down into a newly-formed pool of jello beneath her, sending out a splash of water upwards. In fact, an oddly tall one, and Riley knows instantly what's coming as he sees Phoebe dragging herself to the crest of it as it gains height. The water drains from the pool into a taller and taller column of water that rushes across the arena, Phoebe looking down from the top of it. The pool's reserves of water are eventually depleted, and the wave can no longer support itself, crashing down with a tremendous roar to the surface of the arena, soaking and battering all beneath it with the force of tonnes and tonnes of rushing water. A dazed and battered Riley gets up, and after his mind clears, he notices his fur is now a rather funky scarlet colour; looking around he sees the entire arena has changed to the same hue. He then looks down at the weak, panting fish clinging onto consciousness for dear life at his feet and chuckles to himself. This won't take much longer.

Terrain Notes
Jello is now cherry flavour- +1 to Attack. Though this is hardly the time for eating desserts, neh?
Final Notes
- Phoebe was regarded as close to Riley on the first action because he'd just finished battering her with Force Palms. However on the second she was flung away by Focus Blast and so used Surf on the third.
- Riley didn't get a chance to distance himself from Phoebe because he was busy concentrating on Mind Reader on action 1.
- Phoebe was paralysed on the second action and was subsequently cured.
- Vacuum Wave is hard to describe.
- Linooney
wins commands first next round.
