Bring it on, babies! I'll go with GLaDOS, my lovely little Porygon!

Okay GLaDOS... Let's see here. Focus on Halan, shall we? Start things off with a nice Psychic in his direction, then follow up with Discharge; why not hit everyone while we're at it? Finish with another Psychic at Halan. Though if your main target (in the case of Psychic) or all three of them (for Discharge) use protect/detect, swap over to Double Team, and aim for three clones each. If you get hit with a Fighting-type attack, use Conversion 2, but only the first time.

First, be a thorn in their side, giving a bit of sleepiness to GLaDOS. If GLaDOS is already asleep on the second action, Hypnosis on Riolu. If Riolu isn't asleep already, make sure he is by the end of the round.. If Riolu is statused, Hypnosis at Lucario. Protect from status effects, but only once.

Ah, so if moon-panther and Full Metal Cookies are fighting, and I'm being attacked by Steele, that leaves one option.
Attract Rift. It may sound stupid, but we may have the upper hand after it.
Then, Magic Coat Hypnosis. Bulbapedia and Veekun both say you can use it, and plus I don't trust Serebii.
If Hypnosis is not used against you, instead use Zen Hedbutt on Rift. Same thing with the second turn.
If for some reason you are not able to use Magic coat, use Zen Hedbutt.

Be it by air or from the surrounding seas, five people arrived upon an amazingly large island -- roughly fifty-eight square meters, which would be enough to fit about sixteen Wailord upon it, although not one of them would survive; after all, should they stay out of water for long enough, they would be crushed by their own weights. This much is irrelevant, however, since none of the five owned one of the massive whale species.

In order to watch the battle properly, the referee, Metallica Fanboy, decided to keep riding upon his Aerodactyl. It was slowly becoming routine for him to do such, but, he didn't mind it. Sage Noctowl responded quickly to the send out signal, letting his Riolu free to step on the sand that composed most of the flooring. moon-panther, perhaps for irony's sake, followed up by sending out her Lucario. Blackthorne Steele carefully analyzed the situation, and released his Gastly after some deliberation; the ghost Pokémon was already surrounded by countless chunks of steel. Full Metal Cookies enthusiastically released her Porygon, which quickly began to point a creepy stare upon the less evolved Fighting type on the battlefield.

That which GLaDOS was doing, however, was not merely eye contact -- rather, it was the marvel of technology at work. The virtual Pokémon was gathering some data and accessing some other data on the internet, learning as much as it could regaring Sage Noctowl's Riolu. In the end, it came out that he had roughly the same defensive skills for dealing with physical and special attacks, but the Porygon nonetheless made an educated guess (i.e. a dice roll) and, with basis on that, sacrificed a small amount of physical power to boost the prowess of his special blows.

Suddenly, however, this whole hi-tech process was abruptly disturbed by a punch clear across the face. The cyberspace roamer immediately turned its disembodied head to the side, gathering the data that the one responsible was Halan. Some tan colored orbs of energy seemed to be trying to penetrate into the Lucario's hand, but they merely bounced away.

GLaDOS decided to turn its gaze back to Riolu, who had then already been succesfully scared by the unwavering stare. However, that was the Porygon's undoing; it had left itself wide open for eye contact. This was the opportunity Rift quickly seized to let a deep red look appear through her armor. She broadcast psychic waves through the virtual Pokémon's eyes; they didn't quite cause sleep like it would against a normal Pokémon, but, it could be said that there results were similar, now that Full Metal Cookies' soldier was frozen in place, looking up with disturbingly widened eyes.

Just then, the Riolu leapt toward the Gastly, in an attempt to give her a tight hug. It didn't quite work, but, the point was made; he seemed very grateful for the fact he no longer had to cope with that ennervating gaze. He made constant attempts to snuggle upon his foe, who was, more than anything else, confused.

Meanwhile, Halan pressed his palms together and raised one of his legs so that one of his soles would be pressed against one of his thighs. Eyes strongly shut, he did what he could to reject the world surrounding he to be one with his own mind. Of course, the fact that he had to deal with a constant "PLAY SNORE.MP3 BZZZT" from outside was quite a bother, but, he did what he could.

Rift's order was to pull off Hypnosis... However, she felt as though she was having too much fun with the awake Riolu to go and do to him the same thing she had done to that strange Porygon. All the like, the small jackal Pokémon seemed to be in a trance. The Gastly tried to wake him up... Only to be suddenly smashed by a powerful headbutt that sent psychic sparks flying in several directions upon impact. The attacker spent some two seconds shaking off the recoil that comes from smashing one's head against a metallic wall, then faked a laugh and said, with the most innocent voice he could pull off, that he had just tricked the steel covered ghost.

Their moment together was continuously interrupted by GLaDOS' noises, which now had become more varied, including things like "DREAM.EXE BOOTED" being spat out by the unmoving Porygon. Halan was quite sick of it. He began to muster every hateful thought towards it that he could muster, much to The Crow's amusement. Then, with a punch at thin air, it unleashed the spite in the form of a dark wave, which changed the futuristic paper crane's shouts into horrified screams like "NIGHTMARE VIRUS DETECTED. REBOOT IMMEDIATELY."

Getting headbutted didn't make Rift less attracted, but it did help her gather her thoughts and do as she was told. She established eye contact with her object of love -- which was, in fact, somewhat embarassing -- and then, with a red gaze peeping through the gathered steel, once more, launched sleep-inducing waves. However, just then, the Riolu's fur took on a mirrored glow... And the Hypnosis just uselessly missed his eyes by a long shot. The attraction really harmed her focus, it seemed.


Arena status: Unchanged.

Additional notes:
- Halan had 100% health when Drain Punch was used, and thus, no health was recovered.
- Rift was too attracted to attack in the second action, and missed in the third action.
- Next round, Sage Noctowl commands, Full Metal Cookies commands, Blackthorne Steele commands and lastly moon-panther commands.

The trainers leer upon each other. Who could the secret lonesome party be? Who is the enemy? Nonetheless, they pressed ownards, attacking as would enhance their own survival.

At first, Rift was slightly reluctant about her commands. What if she failed to perform Attract correctly? Would she put up a wall of awkwardness between her and her love? One way or the other, feeling pressed to obey her trainer as a compensation for not doing it very well earlier, she resolved to do what she could.

She approached the unsuspecting Riolu and, almost trembling, stretched her tongue to pull of an extremely daring lick. Not the daunting, painful Lick attack; just the friendly sort, like the ones dog give their owners in this place they call "real world". As quick as she could, she followed up with a wink as her victim looked her way.

And, thus, mutual love successfully came to be. A promise to not attack each other for the rest of the round was decorated by Halan dancing on the background and, later, suddenly interrupted by a "BOOTING SUBCONSCIOUS MODE.EXE. EXECUTING RANDOMIZER.ATK.".

Closed eyes were no hindrance -- GLaDOS had an automatic aiming system, with which it turned its head to face its target. It hefted its own body up like a horse standing upon its hind legs, causing fear upon the jackal and the ghost that knew not which one of them was about to get hit.

As the cyber Pokémon jerked itself back to its normal position -- perhaps a few degrees lower -- its detachable head darted at ridiculosly high speed. One startled Gastly even loosened up on the steel around her as the red rocket approached... And passed right through her, to absolutely no avail.

The Porygon was having an unhappier time with what happened than her target. Booting a sentiment of revenge, the Pokéture Science manufacture activated an easter egg in its programming. An easter egg containing a message about saving the environment. Drawing strenght upon this idea, the dormant pseudo-paper crane spat a flurry of green orbs.

The one to take that attack was not the intended one, though. With a long yell consisting of no more than a two-lettered adverb, Sage Noctowl's Pokémon leapt, sacrificing a bit his own health for his love.

As Rift worried about her sort of boyfriend's condition, Halan again stood at the background. As earlier, finding peace inside his mind, shutting out all but the being living within.

Afterwards, the Lucario resumed his dancing session, but was caught off guard by a sudden double slash which GLaDOS had just looked up. He made to counterstrike, but was stopped by the referee's signal to end the round -- sadly yet temporarily separating the lovebirds.

Additional notes:
- GLaDOS' Sleep Talk rolled: Giga Impact (Rift), Hidden Power (Riolu), Aerial Ace (Halan). RNG is quite the nasty fellow; if GLaDOS could learn these, he would have used Teeter Dance, Magma Storm and Shadow Force. I'm not even kidding.
- GLaDOS has Hidden Power Grass for this match.
- Since I didn't consider attraction a "real" status effect (like sleep or paralysis) earlier, I didn't this time either, not to mention Magic Coating Attract would be worthless here anyway. To be honest, though, the first time was kind of by accident. Kind of. Riolu failed to attack in the first action due to attraction anyway, so yeah.
- On the second action, both of them lovebirds failed to attack each other.
- On the third action too. random.org is quite unwilling to play nice, it seems.
- I overused metaphors, didn't I?
- Next round, moon-panther commands, Sage Noctowl commands, Full Metal Cookies commands and lastly Blackthorne Steele commands.

I usually refer to genderless Pokémon by genderless pronouns; if at any point I didn't, it was by mistake.
As for the latter, I guess I forgot about that. Well, I fixed it now.

Sage Noctowl and Blackthorne Steele seemed to be worried no longer about their Pokémon's intense attraction toward each other, instead more concerned about skirting around the threat posed by moon-panther's massively boosted creature. The virtual being owned by Full Metal Cookies was still defied by his sleepiness-inducing codes.

Halan was quite eager to resume battling, practice punching the air in front of him. More like practice fighting, actually, since he was also employing kicks and headbutts.

When the referee gave the word, chaos ensued. Riolu and Rift immediately sprinted for each other, but found themselves being in the path of a speeding, blue enemy that left behind a trail of dark purple, ethereal substance that evaporated from his paw. With a leap and a quick downards swipe, his target only had just enough time to brace herself -- an action toward which she thankfully had the aid of several steel plates.

The Gastly countered immediately, peeking out of her armor in order to establish eye contact with the opponent. While a paranoical suspicion of betrayal sprang up for a moment in her love's mind, he quickly realized that what was ensuing was the same thing that had been done before to the slumbering program that stood a certain distance away from the fight.

Riolu followed up by gathering his aura to shoot a blast against his fully evolved foe. He didn't expect that it work too well, but it was actually quite effective -- enough to throw the victim off his feet and back into being awake. A faint glow could barely be seem coming from his body as the living being within his mind began to spread its wings.

Meanwhile, GLaDOS, this time, did not interfere. The mystical ruler of random numbers has seen to it that the Porygon protect itself from the high amounts of damage that were beggining to bounce around; thus, it gained a red aura, and a clone of itself began to fade into existance until it looked as solid as the creator.

Still on the floor, Halan gathered his forces -- he was familiar with aura-based attacks, but had no idea they could hurt that much. Believing the nemesis closer to his own species to be responsible, he activated psychic-type powers to place a telekinetic hold on the Riolu, giving him a painful choke through said hold.

Seeing the grievous damage caused by that last attack, Rift felt the urge to inflict as much pain as possible on the enemy, but, trusting that her trainers' orders would be more effective, she once more unleashed sleep-inducing waves to silence the Lucario.

One more stale move was performed. This time, by Sage Noctowl's pokémon. As earlier, a ball of aura was put together and launched. However, unlike the first one, this one did not awaken the snoring target, perhaps because the feeling of being hit with that specific move was no longer unfamiliar. While the attack's sufferer seemed to be close to awake, he was still not aware enough to notice it as a darkness shrouded head sneakily snatched the bell around his neck. Nor did he notice that said head did not leave without a mild smack beforehand.

Before opening his eyes, Halan was targeted by yet one more move. Said move's executioner was still much more willing to unleash a rush of uncontrolled attacks, but, in adherence to her commands, she refrained from doing so, and instead, used her spiritual abilities in order to sneak into the foe's mind and copy its extremely focused status, while of course ditching the sleepy status.

Just as she finished, her love followed with yet another Aura Sphere, the torment that finally put an end to the second slumber of the round. moon-panther's Pokémon rose slowly and filled with pain, but now surrounded by a flickering glow. The Crow was making his presence known, it seemed. As the jackal made to attack, however, he was met with a distraction: his bell's disappearance.

A quick look around spotted the lost item carelessly left on the ground near GLaDOS, whose snoring head aimed at the sun, shining unnatrually.

Additional notes:
- GLaDOS' Sleep Talk rolled: Substitute (15%), Thief (Halan), SolarBeam (target will be rolled next round).
- Halan was sucessfully been put to sleep on the first action, but awoken at the same action due to Aura Sphere as well as the activation of his signature attribute.
- And then, on the second action, Hypnosis was yet again successful; this time, though, there was no signature attribute activating, not Halan was still slightly sleepy and was no longer unfamiliar with Riolu's Aura Sphere, thus, awakening did not occour. Thief didn't cause the awakening either, because it did ridiculously little damage.
- Speaking of which, during the time Halan was asleep, if had no means of noticing whether GLaDOS was about to hit him, and it doesn't help that its targeting is being unpredictable.
- Since Thief was sucessful but Up-Grade was being held, I let random.org decide whether to dump the Soothe Bell or switch it for the Up-Grade. The former was chosen.
- Being asleep prevented Halan from attacking on the third round; however, he was also awakened later that round by the third Aura Sphere, which also caused him to hit the damage cap.
- Since Rift's boosts assigned by her signature attribute cannot be neutralized by Haze, I don't think Psych Up can take them away either.
- Lenghty end-of-round notes are lenghty.
- Next round, Blackthorne Steele commands, moon-panther commands, Sage Noctowl commands, and lastly Full Metal Cookies commands.
