I asked her that and she said that you couldn't take all of it. Item evolvers need at least 1 exp to stay evolved.

So Pokemon that evolve with items need to keep some EXP from that stage to stay that way. What about Pokemon that evolve by trading? Like... How much would a Gengar need to keep?
