Mr. Backlot’s Mansion Challenge

Walking down the path, you see a signboard: “Pokemon Mansion Challenge, up ahead!” Intrigued, you follow the sign to an enormous mansion, and are greeted by Mr. Backlot at the doorway.
“I bet you didn’t think you’d see me here in the Safari Zone, did you?” he asks. “Well, I’ve moved down here in order to set up a little challenge. Would you like to give it a try? It’s only $3 for a set of 3 Pokeballs, or $6 for 6 Pokeballs. I’ve left a Pokemon or an item in each room of the mansion, so explore as much or as little as you desire. You can’t go back the way you came, though, and if you go too far, you might hit the exit, which means you’re done, whether you’ve used all your Pokeballs or not. That’s probably gonna be after you go through about 15 or 20 rooms, by the way. Uh, some Pokemon sometimes get loose in the hallway, but that's alright, feel free to catch them, too. Oh, and I set up my Trophy Garden somewhere around here, too, but I can never quite remember where to find it. Well, good luck!”
In your first post, tell me how many Pokeballs you’d like to buy, and which colored door you’ll go through. The mansion’s rooms tend to move around periodically, but the first three doors are always the same. They are red, blue, and green.
As you move through the mansion, you will encounter Pokemon or items in each room. You will also have a choice between several doors. You must choose whether to [ catch / ignore ] the Pokemon or [ pick up / leave ] the item, and which door to enter.

"Thanks for your interest!" Mr. Backlot exclaims. "Now, tell me whether you want [three / or six] Pokeballs and which door you want to go through: [red / blue / or green]!"
