Arena: Underwater Battlefield
Arena status: At the bottom of the arena, small pieces of shattered metal lay (though no longer at the same spot they lay upon beforehand). The field is a standard battle arena, submerged underwater at the bottom of a steep cliff, where it has been abandoned. It is highly advised against using pokemon that require air to breathe, as the battle will take place near the ocean floor and the surface is rather far away; going up to take a breath of air will require a full action, and then another action to return to the fight. These pokemon will need air at least once every two rounds. Water pokemon and pokemon that don't breathe at all do not need to return to the surface. (Trainers get free scuba gear, no need to worry about drowning!)
Obviously, fire-type moves will be useless underwater. Similarly, weather moves will not have any effects below the surface. While underwater, any pokemon with Swift Swim may consider
that ability in effect. Any pokemon not used to moving around in water, whether they can breathe or not, have their speed reduced by 1.
-----
The double knockout earlier was a surprise, but nonetheless, subsequent actions were carried out swiftly. thunder sent out a black and purple blob, mostly made of gas, which made the arena fizzle. Shadow Serenity responded with his own sendout, a humanoid, purple creature with sparkling jewels for eyes and a vile smile.
Commands were issued, and the new batch of battlers faced off.
The Gastly quickly shifted herself along the waters, preparing a deadly concotion of gases in her mouth. Aiming at her new opponent, she spat the vapors, which reacted with the waters to form a cloud of toxin. Diamond swam up to take aim at his foe, accidentally swimming right into the poison, which quickly made its way to his veins, crippling him.
Seeking revenge, but still aware of the tactical advantages of following along with his commands, the Sableye established eye contact with his enemy, sending off a blinding light from his eyes. When the gas Pokémon opened her own eyes, she could see a strange, hypnotizing orb of varying colors. She lunged at it, trying to lick it, but it slipped out of her reach. She gave chase, and eventually wound up diving headfirst into the hostile's claws, although the lack of movement from his part minimized damage recurring from the mishap.
Seizing the opportunity to strike while guards were down, the Hopkinsville Goblin placed his hands close to one another, gathering ethereal energy between them. When a full-sized ball was formed, he flung it at his target. The bizarre composition allowed the projectile to travel effortlessly through the water and land successfully.
The strong attack was not enough to cut short the hunt for the light circle, though. Ignoring damage, Gastly followed her prey anywhere it went. At one point, it went through Diamond, encouraging her to zoom toward him while he was preparing to strike again. Less than amused, he stopped her with a half-hearted kick, and then unleashed one more Shadow Ball, this time from close range.
The ghost Pokémon showed signs of being in grievous pain, but quickly shook it off to recommence her pursuit.

Additional notes:
- In the ASB, Sableye are ghostly enough to the point they can phase almost completely. That they don't need to breathe is a pretty sound assumption.
- The nature of this arena would make some of the attacks you've ordered harder to aim -- like Magnemite's electrical attacks earlier, attacks here are traveling by water rather than air, meaning Toxic would hardly work without being used close-range. However, despite the subsequent accuracy reductions, the random number god chose to have it land.
- But that was the extent of thunder's luck, as Gastly hit herself in both actions afterwards.
- thunder attacks first next round.
