Arena Description: The Second Anomaly
The Second Anomaly is, as its name suggests, an Anomaly. Arceus only knows how the battlers got there or how they'll get out, but such is the way of the universe. Also unknown is how anyone can see, being as there are no visible light sources, but it is as bright as a typical midsummers midday. It is, at least to begin with, an infinitely large plain white platform floating in nothing. As the battle goes on, however, that platform changes to whatever is required by the battle - if, for example, there is a fish Pokémon on the field, there will be a large pond to swim in. There will be air for everyone can breathe. If Sandstorm is used, sand appears. And so forth. The gravity there is only half of Earth's, so each Pokémon is only half as heavy for things like Grass Knot. This also removes any energy cost that Flyers or Hoverers would need to fly or hover, be they Inherently or Consentually.
The most important effect of this Anomaly is that at the end of each round, both Pokémon in battle will randomly 'evolve' into any other Pokémon. This can be any Pokémon in existence, including Legendaries. This means they gain the new species' ability, moveset, types, everything. Also, the Pokémon are dazed and confused after this 'evolution', so as soon as the first round is complete and the first 'evolution' has taken place, the Pokémon can't listen to any commands and their moves are selected randomly, similar to Sleep Talk.
Another of the major effects of the Second Anomaly is that at the end of every round, at the same time as the 'evolutions', both battlers' energy is restored to 100%. Not infinite energy, note, so if a Pokémon uses incredibly energy-intensive moves, it could, at least in theory, faint from energy loss. As though to compensate for this, and healing moves will automatically fail or, if indirect like Giga Drain, will only cause damage.
The last effect of note is that at the beginning of every third round, a random object will appear. Any object, from sardines to submarines, and they can appear in any manner the ref wants. What they do is also entirely up to the ref. They vanish at the end of the round, again in a manner of the ref's choosing.

Round 15
The nuclear fusion going on overhead seemed to be reaching an end, for it had been expanding steadily for the past action as its core turned the lighter elements of hydrogen and helium into the heavier carbon and metals. The sun -- if it can be called that -- was giving off a ominous red glow now, as its outer hydrogen layer rapidly moved away from the contracting core and cooled down.
With the referee down for the count (it seems like it was flailing around somewhere under the arena, trying to float back up and failing horribly), the battlers decided to go back to beating the crap out of each other. Bactrian, who had shrunken to a more manageable size, waved her floating root things around and tried to dig them into the arena in order to suck out some nutrients from the hard, probably-cement arena floor. The referee, from its vantage point under the arena, seemed to have noticed what the Carnivine was up to and yelled loudly (heals are against the rules!), flailing even more, before finally resorting to blowing the referee whistle. Upon hearing the sound, Bactrian sighed and retreated her wiggly root things. She was hoping to gain some health back this round... Brittany the Togepi sighed, too, because she had been holding her stubby little arms steady, ready to copy whatever Bactrian was going to use because she was too lazy to think up a strategy of her own. She still had an obvious health advantage, after all...
And then the sun exploded.
The inner core of the red giant finally lost enough energy to keep on fusing elements anymore, and, with a anticlimactic "poof", ejected its outer shell of random elements. The powerful stellar winds knocked the battlers off their feet as the tiny particles battered their bodies. Bactrian and Brittany could feel the radiation burning into their DNA, but they could do nothing but brace themselves against the hard white floor as the star pieces that will, eventually, form a nebula rushed past them (and sometimes through them, because neutrinos are weird like that), pinning them against the ground.
The platform, which was definitely not made of concrete, seemed to be blocking all the radiation and wind from the star, leaving the referee in relative safety.
"Usually the red-giant stage in stellar evolution lasts for a few million years, but this is the pokemon world, so we can ignore the laws of physics for the moment," the referee noted helpfully as the battlers screamed in pain. "Also, it's not technically an explosion. It's just dust particles drifting away from the core due to radiation and stellar wind, but 'exploded' sounded cooler."
Wait. Could the referee had planned for this to happen and fell off the platform on purpose?!
No way.
The bloated red giant had mostly dissipated, leaving only its white, shining core left. The star, which slightly nerdy people can instantly recognize as a white dwarf, glowed softly overhead. After what seemed like a few million years, the powerful onslaught of particles finally slowed down enough for the battlers to stand up and resume their battle. Yet something seemed different...
Bactrian found that she had grown sharp, pointy spikes all over her body.
Brittany now had long, slender legs.
"This is slightly disturbing," the referee noted.
Despite being able to move faster, due to finally growing legs, Brittany found that ankles are an evolutionary hazard and faceplanted. Bactrian wasn't about to give that opportunity up. Inspired by the great light show of an exploding sun, the Carnivine tried to emulate what she had felt before she grew spikes all over her body. Letssee.... It was a great powerful beam of energy, wasn't it? Charging up her infinite energy source into a little sphere, the Carnivine opened her great, gaping mouth and tried to create another sun just so she could see that awesome explosion again.
Sadly, she failed. The glowing orb of energy, before it could start melding atoms together, released itself in a beam of terrifying white light.
Let's just say that it wouldn't be very pleasant to be in Brittany's shoes right now.
After sliding back a good few feet, Brittany didn't even bother standing back up again. Instead, she just spread out her mind and grabbed Bactrian by its metaphorical ankles with her Psychic power. With a surprised yelp, the Carnivine was flung into the air and then slammed into the ground, hard. The battering repeated a few times (Bactrian was sure that a few of her spikes broke off), until Brittany finally got tired of it and let the fly trap pokemon go.
Not at all discouraged by the attack, Bactrian decided to try nuclear fusion again. This time, instead of focusing the energy into her mouth, she decide to charge up in her body and release it all at once instead, so it stays more stable.
Alas, it still failed. A little burst of energy escaped, and Bactrian found herself being propelled at the Togepi at a very high speed. A purple orb of pure energy enveloped the Carnivine's body, followed by orange streaks.
"POW! WHAM! SLAM!" The referee said as Brittany went flying from the Giga Impact. In fact, Brittany was flying so fast that she seemed to left clones of herself as she went, and those clones stayed behind as the Togepi flaceplanted into the ground.
With a poof, the white dwarf and the nebula disappeared, and the radiation stopped. Brittany still looked mildly disturbing though.

Status: All hail the RNGGods! Attack +1
Moves: Ingrain ~ Hyper Beam ~ Giga Impact
Boss Barubu's Minions (XOO)
Brittany (F) <Levitate>
Health: 8%
Energy: 100%
Status: IT BURNS Speed +1, Double Team (2 clones)
Moves: Mirror Move ~ Psychic ~ Double Team (2 clones)
Notes:
- Whoa. Hyper Beam and Giga Impact?!
- They actually didn't use up
that much energy...
- Ingrain and Mirror Move both failed because Ingrain is a healing move
- Togepi has crappy speed and thus didn't make many clones
- Hyper Beam and Giga Impact did not use up enough energy for Bactrian to faint.
Arena Notes:
- The sun asploded at the end of the first action...
- ...and turned into a white dwarf, which emitted radiation and caused the pokemon to mutate, which randomly raised one stat
- There's a dried blob of Toxic sitting on the arena really far away from the battlers.
Other Notes:
- The RNGGodshrines really are working :o
- I swear, I am not tweaking with the results, even though it looks like I might be
- Er yeah. I can see now (yay), but I also have craploads of homework, so reffing might be a bit slow (understatement of the year)
- Or I could write less, but that doesn't seem like it will happen anytime soon...
- I had too much fun describing exploding stars
- What do you mean that I'm a nerd?
- SB builds RNGGodshrines
- Barubu builds RNGGodshrines
- I build RNGGodshrines
