Arena Description: The Third Anomaly
The Third Anomaly is, as its name suggests, an Anomaly. Arceus only knows how the battlers got there or how they'll get out, but such is the way of the universe. Also unknown is how anyone can see, being as there are no visible light sources, but it is as bright as a typical midsummers midday. It is, at least to begin with, an infinitely large plain white platform floating in nothing. As the battle goes on, however, that platform changes to whatever is required by the battle - if, for example, there is a fish Pokémon on the field, there will be a large pond to swim in. There will be air for everyone can breathe. If Sandstorm is used, sand appears. And so forth. The gravity there is only half of Earth's, so each Pokémon is only half as heavy for things like Grass Knot. This also removes any energy cost that Flyers or Hoverers would need to fly or hover, be they Inherently or Consentually.

The most important effect of this Anomaly is that at the end of each round, both Pokémon in battle will have their moveset and ability replaced with that of another Pokémon. This can be any Pokémon in existence, including Legendaries. Also, the Pokémon are dazed and confused after this change, so as soon as the first round is complete and the first change has taken place, the Pokémon can't listen to any commands and their moves are selected randomly, similar to Sleep Talk.

Another of the major effects of the Third Anomaly is that at the end of every round, at the same time as the changes, both battlers' energy is restored to 100%. Not infinite energy, note, so if a Pokémon uses incredibly energy-intensive moves, it could, at least in theory, faint from energy loss. As though to compensate for this, if a healing move is used, it will fail.

The last effect of note is that at the beginning of every third round, a random object will appear. Any object, from sardines to submarines, and they can appear in any manner the ref wants. What they do is also entirely up to the ref. They vanish at the end of the round, again in a manner of the ref's choosing.

Okay, I notice that my opponent has no ground-types, and I want to get an evolution out of this... Brick, you're up.

Also this is not the second Third Anomaly, the Third Anomaly was created very recently. The First and Second anomalies have existed before now.
Also I believe ole_schooler has a lowercase o.

Well then, let's match your Eelectrik with an Electike, and send out Tomas! (Note for the ref: Tomas has a Signature Attribute, Blue-Eyed Blind, that was approved before the hack, but got lost. Approval link here and description below.)

Signature Attribute: Blue-Eyed Blind

Trainers like shiny Pokemon. This much is clear: whether from the slightly boosted stats or merely their rarity, alternative colored battle friends are in demand. Breeders constantly try for a shiny stock, or at least increased odds that they won't always end up with "normal" stock. Some are less scrupulous than others, breeding family trees so closely they better resemble sticks, supplemented with high-statted Dittos.

Tomas comes from one such breeder, fortunately shut down since. Due to inbreeding and the psudo-cloning caused by Ditto overuse, he inherited enough faulty, recessive genes to cause him to be blind from birth. His very pale blue eyes, usually only found in shiny Electrike, reflect this. He has no sense of light or color, or how to use his electrical talents to generate light offensively.

Tomas doesn't see it as much of a loss, though. His hearing and sense of smell are acute enough to manage for him in most circumstances, and his innate sense of electric fields handles the rest.

Effect: Tomas is blind. Any attack (such as Confuse Ray, Signal Beam, or Double Team) or ability (such as Illuminate) that depends on vision or light do not affect him. His accuracy is considered inherently at -2 (meaning it is at -2 at the start of battles, is not affected by Psych Up, returns to this level after Haze, etc.). However, his accuracy cannot be lowered further (as the ability Keen Eye, although it would be more accurately called Keen Ear and Nose).

Due to his heightened senses, he is always considered under the effects of Odor Sleuth. Tomas cannot use the moves Light Screen, Double Team, Flash, or Signal Beam.

Now that that's out of the way, Tomas, I'd like you to start off with a Switcheroo and get that lovely Thunderstone for yourself. (Since you're blind, her new Shiny Stone should have no effect on you!) Next, hit her with a Toxic if you can (although probability is low that you'll actually hit) and follow with a Swift for some definite damage. If at any time you feel you cannot hit your foe (she's Protecting, has a Sub, decided to run/float away like a coward, or the like) go ahead and Howl instead.

Switcheroo/Howl~Toxic/Howl~Swift/Howl

Why do you have to be faster than me
Well I do want to keep that Thunderstone. Plus I can't do strategy.

Superbird teleports into the Third Anomaly, staring at the surroundings as he recalls his League-issued Abra. At least that thing can get him out; he doesn’t know about the rest of the battlers. On which subject, where are they? The battle is about to start! Maybe they got lost…? No, there’s one of them. She’s a young, mixed-race lady who appeared out of nowhere. Oh, and there’s the other.

The woman, known as Squornshellous Beta, tosses out an Ultra Ball. It hits something, although since everything’s white no one knows what that something is, and bursts open to reveal a dark-blue, spotted eel that’s floating nonchalantly around. In response, Ole_Schooler throws out its own Poké Ball, which bursts open to reveal a green, yellow-streaked canine with blue eyes. The Electrike barks at his opponent, ready (or so he thinks) for the match to begin. Once both trainers have ordered commands, Superbird waves his reffing flags to signal…

Tomas begins the round by rushing forward at his opponent. He can sense the Thunderstone that his opponent is holding, and he intends to take that and use it for himself. He rushes forward toward Brick’s scent, ready to exchange her valuable item for his Shiny Stone, when he crashes hard into something. Brick has put up a greenish energy shield just in time to stop her precious Thunderstone from being stolen.

…but this does not deter her opponent. Tomas gives up his attempt to steal the Thunderstone, generating a glob of hideous toxins in his mouth. Then, he opens it and launches said blob in the direction of his opponent. The Toxic makes contact with Brick, and sinks into her skin and into her bloodstream. Almost immediately she begins to feel a little nauseous, but she’s definitely not ready to give up yet. Borrowing a little power from the Thunderstone she’s holding, the Eelektrik lets loose a fearsome bolt of electricity. Even though he’s resistant to the attack, the Thunderbolt still strikes Tomas pretty hard.

But he intends to retaliate the blow. It isn’t long at all before he has opened his mouth again and released several glowing stars. The stars fly through the air, all pelting right into Brick no matter how hard she tries to avoid them. Grr…, she thinks, That was a cheap shot! In retaliation, she draws a bit more power from her Thunderstone and lets loose another Thunderbolt. This time, however, the attack has a little bit more of a widespread effect. Tomas feels some stray electricity sink into his fur, stiffening him right up.

Then, suddenly, both of the battlers are enveloped in a strange, silvery glow. Their bodies turn white, and suddenly Brick and Tomas both morph into different Pokémon. Brick looks down at her new dark-and-white body, wondering why her appetite has grown so large before she wonders what just happened. Tomas, inversely, is feeling himself out. He feels…humanoid…with paint on his tail…? Oh, wonderful.

Brick suddenly wonders what that strange feeling earlier was. That was strange…Anyway, she feels…different. But enough wondering, she feels like she has new powers and she feels like trying ‘em out. Almost immediately her tail begins to sparkle with electricity. She floats over to Tomas and clubs him with it. The electricity doesn’t do much to him, but he feels like if he can grasp that attack he may as well copy it. Without hesitation he attempts to make a quick sketch of the attack he just took; to no avail. He couldn’t see his subject, much less what he was drawing.

Meanwhile, Brick is still testing out her new powers. This time, she forms a brownish orb of energy in her mouth which flies upwards. At what would probably be about fifteen meters, the orb explodes in a huge flash of light. Once the flash fades, Brick stares nervously at the Sandstorm that’s just been created. How did she do that? Either way, Tomas has started to feel the tiny grains of sand being swept across his fur, and decides to try to copy them. Unfortunately, he still can’t produce an even decent sketch of the attack.

That doesn’t stop Brick, however. She’s blissfully unaware of her opponent’s suffering and failure as she’s testing out her new powers. Hey, if she can call a sandstorm then maybe…just maybe…a hailstorm? She opens her mouth again. This time, Tomas is enveloped in harsh winds. Brick sees a bluish flash, and then suddenly the winds covering her opponent are carrying wads of snow and ice. Tomas shivers. This is hopeless, he thinks, not even attempting to Sketch his opponent’s attack this time.

Then, suddenly, both battlers are again enveloped in the same silver light as before. “No!”, Brick yells, “I’m not done with my new powers yet…”. On the other hand, Tomas is looking forward (figuratively, of course) to what he’ll become next. Maybe it’ll be more useful than this stupid thing whose powers (or lack thereof, really) he has right now. Soon, the glow fades. Brick finds herself feeling almost the same, still with the vast expanse of moves she can use, while Tomas finds himself strong…much stronger than he was. Oh, maybe things are looking up for him!

Tomas suddenly feels a humongous power welling up inside him. Finally, things are looking up for him! The Electrike, harnessing his strongest powers as a Nidoqueen, gives a humongous roar. Using the ground-type energy he(?) is infused with, the little green canine makes something happen as a gigantic fissure begins to open up in the arena. The fissure opens up coincidentally right underneath Brick. The Eel Pokémon tries to float away before realizing that it’s no longer able to levitate. She screams, being pulled into the abyss that holds the only blackness in this entire void. Then, suddenly, another dark wormhole opens up above the fissure just as it closes, and out pops Brick, thoroughly dazed and beaten.

Tomas watches his performance in awe. He totally did not know that move existed. He’s only heard of it in legends before now. Wait, maybe because this is the Third Anomaly…Either way, he’s soon struck out of his little fantasy by Brick’s average blow. The Pursuit didn’t really do much, but in retaliation Tomas begins to swipe furiously at Brick. Strangely, the eel Pokémon doesn’t feel anything other than a slight tingling from the attack. How strange.

Suddenly, a strange power comes over Brick. Her body glows red, and almost immediately turns into a purplish-black laser, that zips back to the Ultra Ball she came from. At the same instant Squornsellous Beta’s Dusk Ball bursts open in a cloud of darkness to reveal a small brown owl. The Hoothoot appears right on top of the toxins Brick left behind in her retreat, and he gasps in pain as they sink into his body. Then, he looks around curiously at his strange surroundings.

His train of thought is interrupted by silver glow, coming from Tomas. The Electrike is enveloped in the silvery aura again, his attributes being changed to match another Pokémon. This time Tomas growls in triumph at his destination; He feels incredible psychic-and Dragon-type power inside him, even though he still feels like a girl. He’s getting to learn a lot about girls today, isn’t he?

Holey cheese. This totally makes up for the Sketch round. I mean...Fissure has such poor odds to begin with, and adding in the accuracy drop...holey cheese. And now Tomas is a legendary! Oh, and Squorn, I think you have the opportunity to give commands, if you want, since Strigiformes is newly sent out.

Well, I'm a flying-type facing an electric-type. It's not going to go too well.
And I can't even use Hypnosis! Hrml.
Toxic till it works. Then just ATTACK.

Toxic ~ Toxic / Psychic ~ Toxic / Psychic

Also, something I'd like to add about the arena: I didn't anticipate this happening, but can I add on that commands can be given on the round after a Pokémon is sent out? Which means that, say, when Brick comes back out I'll have the normal Eelektrik movepool and ability to give commands. If ole_schooler agrees, of course.

EDIT: Also, you've put Brick as in reserve under ole_schooler's name, and used the Electrike party sprite for her.

Hah, I don't have an eel, that's silly, I'm a theme battler!

And yeah, I'm fine with allowing commands upon a Pokemon's release from a Pokeball (as in, you can give Brick commands when you send her back out) as long as she has the normal ability and movepool for an Eelectrik at that time. (I had assumed that was the case, actually.)

Tomas calls upon his new psychic powers to guard him. Easily, he calls up a translucent, shiny bluish-silver shield of energy. Meanwhile, Strigiformes somehow begins to cough up some toxins from his throat, spewing them toward his opponent. That shield is probably like a reflect or Light screen, and probably won’t do anything to his attack—or so he thinks. When the glob of acid bounces off of the Magic Coat, the Hoothoot gasps, making a brief attempt to get away before the Toxic falls on his feathers, sinking into his blood and accelerating the poisoning he already has.

Unaware of his opponent’s pains, Tomas looks more into the mysterious powers he’s been given. There are so many of them…and the void is going to take them all away so soon! His temper quickly flares, and he growls madly at his fate, going into an absolute rampage. Blue flames of Dragon-Type energy circle the Electrike/Latias as he barrels forward at Strigiformes, who is still trying to get that last Toxic out of his skin. The Hoothoot is caught by surprise, and knocked back a ways—but as soon as the little brown bird regains control of its movements it coughs up another Toxic. This one hits, sinking into Tomas’s skin and seeping into his bloodstream.

As Tomas continues with his Outrage, Strigiformes struggles to avoid it; but he fails, getting hit harshly once again by the Electrike’s blue flames. This time, however, he decides to retaliate. He uses the psychic power that all Noctowl have, reaching into his opponent’s tangled mind, and sends in a harsh burst of energy. Tomas can’t take that much energy at once, and recoils, dazed, for a second before he continues his outrages. Strigiformes sighs in a tired relief for a second before attempting again to dodge his opponent’s outrage.

...Suddenly, Strigiformes is rudely surprised by a silvery glow around his body. Though Tomas keeps on running around in his outrage, the blue flames enveloping his body change into a silver aura, changing his attributes. No longer is the Electrike levitating off the ground. But Strigiformes has received his own set of changes as well. He doesn’t feel like a Hoothoot any more, but instead like…a…a…a venipede? What the heck?

Notes
•@Squorn: That was how I intended it to be in the first place, hence my ‘orders commands’ instead of ‘does something insignificant’.
•Also, derp fixed.
•Tomas used Magic Coat, then Outrage (and then another Outrage).
•As much of a coincidence as it is, Magic Coat reflected the first Toxic. Said reflection intensified the poison a bit, doubling the increase rate from 1% to 2% per round.
•Strigiformes turned into a Venipede…
•…while lucky old Tomas turned into a Blastoise. I don’t care if Blastoise can’t learn Outrage, he’s still locked into it.

Next Round
