Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

You know, these would be awesome as a compilation. Like, a Dex with these poems as entries.

*requests snorlax, just for the lulz*

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

Wow, that sableye one was amazing! Might even be your best yet :)
I request...a fossil Pokémon (like Omanyte, Armaldo, Cranidos, etc.). It doesn't matter which one, as long as it's a fossil.

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

Sorry I'm so late, Four Poems to write, so I'd better get started.
Life Starts
Let me tell you a story,
As we dance while the sun starts to bleed...
As it runs down the sky,
I see the look in your eye,
You think I'm the only one you'll ever need.

Your eyes dance like fire,
You are the personification of flame,
You've always been wild,
With the spirit of a child,
It's your fault that you cannot be blamed.

All my life I was hers,
She was the only way I defined myself,
But as we danced in the sun
It lost it's allure to just one-
I wasn't ready, you can't be ready for hell.

So I danced on my own,
My partner was silent, an image, a shadow-
Though I danced on my own,
I never danced like I was alone,
On my own, but not alone, never was, no.

Because I was waiting,
I knew someone would save me somehow,
I was far from fine,
A suicidal Arcanine,
But that's all behind me because-Life Starts Now.

Everything that came before,
I will push away, don't need to remember,
I'll forget somehow,
Life Starts Now,
This is bright January to a dark December.

So let me forget the story,
As we dance while the sun starts to bleed,
Yes, it goes down-
But t always rises somehow-
It's all two wild souls will ever need.

Looking back on this, I'm really unhappy with it, but I'm a little pressured right now, I guess it must do for now.

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

Poor Arcanine. :(
And don't be so hard on yourself, that one was good! I really liked the figurative language about the sun.

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

Digital Heart
Eyes look towards me,
Flash away, unwilling to stare,
Thinking 'What can this be?
What is that thing right there?'

I see the stares,
But they do go ignored,
Better than the glares,
Of the immorally-moored.

I'm a fake, say some.
A creation, say others.
Abomination, said one.
Words whispered amongst brothers.

I can match them all,
In intellect and power,
But in their graces I fall,
With every growing hour.

I was made, computed,
Created from binary code,
This I have never disputed,
I know what I am, you know.

Feeling no blood flow through me,
Doesn't mean I have no heart to feel,
We're different, but I can never see,
Why these protesters can't deal.

There is something in their blood,
Something that riles them against me,
I am mostly misunderstood,
Without a second glance they just judge.

I long them to understand,
What it's like to be alone,
To have no physical land,
To call a blank screen home.

But no, they cannot ever,
I am different, will be always,
Understanding to be achieved never,
Alone to the end of my days.

Or so I once soundly thought,
And it may once have been right,
But to one I fell, and was caught,
My life, it was changed overnight.

His others treated me as they all do,
But that was only at the very start,
Because they learned their instincts untrue,
Learned I could feel with my digital heart.

Much happier with this one. Got the emo ravings and the happy ending, so yay!

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

Charged
It's there, in my heart,
Pumping through my conductive veins-
It's there, The Charge-
Connecting our collective brains-

And whoah! The pulse, the thrill!
I can feel my mind enlarge,
And whoah! It expands to fill,
The cavern that is the charge.

And it storms through my veins,
Every time you draw near,
Driving my fragile mind insane,
But the charge removes all fear.

And whoah! The pulse, the rush,
I can hear all the others thinking,
And whoah! The audible hush!
I see through them when I'm blinking.

We hunt, as one,
The Charge connecting us together,
But there's, someone,
Who I'm connected to forever-

And I just want to merge,
Let the Charge take hold!
Together our minds surge,
Letting the Charge control

It's more than a Charge, with you!
Anyone could see,
It's more of an almighty spark, with you!
All of them can see.

And when the Charge fills my head with your name,
When it fills you so much that you can barely breath,
That almighty spark will finally catch aflame,
And I'll breath for you if you breath for me.

Let the Charge direct us,
Let our minds merge,
Let the Spark connect us,
Satisfy this urge-

And yes, the urge is great and large,
It can guide us in the dark!
Let ourselves be guided by The Charge,
But lets acting from the Spark!

Cannibal
I have a feeling this will be funny...
Snorlaxes are so big and cuddly,
In fact, Munchlaxes are too,
But whilst they are so fat and bubbly,
They pack a punch or two.

Though they may seem docile and calm,
STOP!!! That's what they want you to think!!!
They held the fate of the world in their palm,
They brought us to the edge, to the very brink!

Long before we were born,
Before the Elder(s) had turned three,
Along came a Sonorlax family scorned,
They set off on a horrific killing spree.

They swallowed everything whole,
Men and Pokémon alike!
Their damage took an almighty tole-
The population halved over night!

The world was in terrible peril-
But what were the humans to do!?
But a bright aroma lady named Cheryl
Calmly decided to think it through.

She thought for a full day,
She thought for a full night,
They proved immune to repel spray,
They walked through fire with no fright.

All they did was eat and eat,
Poison was digested with no harm,
Nothing could stop this Snorlax fleet-
But why need to? Cheryl sounded the alarm!

All the food in all the land,
Was to be placed on an enormous plate,
They heard her idea, thought it grand,
And set to work at a great rate.

The aroma carried on for miles,
The aroma of all the world's food,
Set up in great, enormous piles-
The fleet came, being great fools.

And they ate and ate and ate-
Gorged till even their stomaches were full,
They worked at an alarming rate,
They ate it all, them being rather dull.

But as they lay stuffed, Cheryl-
Shouted out the great long battle cry-
The Snorlaxes were in great peril-
1000 Graswhistles used simultaneously.

It put the monsters asleep
They wouldn't awake for days!
Fallowing Cheryls commands like sheep-
The world worked up a raze!

Rocks upon rocks were dropped,
Covering the beasts from head to toe,
They made a mountain, topped-
In glorious, glorious snow!

The beasts buried, the world saved,
Surely it would never happen again?
No! It will, and it must be braved-
Under apocalyptic pain.

For the chubby horrors shall arise-
And eat and eat and eat!
Just don't look to me in surprise-
When you see the Snorlax fleet!

Snorlax+Munchlax covered here.

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

*sparkly eyes*
That... was awesome.
'cept now I'm kinda scared of my snorlax.

Personally I like how you're able to change up your tone/mood from poem to poem like that.

Making Snorlax a monster? Interesting... But there is one more thing:
Wait... Is it the Cheryl who has a Chansey? Maybe this is where she got her Snorlax.

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

Lol, I will never look at a Snorlax the same way again. I really loved the Porygon one too C:

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

OOOH DO ONE OF ESPEON. AND MEWTWO. BUT NOT IN THE SAME POEM. No, seriously, you're really good. Please do my requests? I imagine the Mewtwo one will be at least slightly depressing, but I have no clue what the Espeon one will be like. Go craaaazzzyyy!

The Deaf Listener
Here comes Espeon
Too large is my mind,
My skull cannot contain,
So housing it must find,
In many another's brain.

As it feels content,
It feels curious too,
And though I try to repent-
I end up searching you.

Your thoughts rush to me,
In a tangle of jumbles,
Some great shouts to be free!
Others contented mumbles.

I hear everything, but yet-
I hear too much.
Too much to find truth, you bet!
I describe it as such.

Only your most forefront thoughts,
The ones that now haunt your mind,
Only most recent moral battles fought,
Only the first level can I find.

The rest is hidden in the sheer volume,
Of what your mind is thinking,
Unless of course your in a battle room,
Whereas your thoughts are rarely blinking.

It is fascinating to see your mind,
Click and whirr and set,
It so, so strange I find,
How instantly you forget.

Your thoughts drop to a whisper,
That I can barely hear,
Pure instinct, thoughts but a whisper,
The state fills me with fear.

For though your thoughts are silent,
My mind finds no solace within here,
Your thoughts turn to those of violence,
Battle plans bringing up the rear.

My mind enlarges, out and out,
Ever expanding, never relaxing,
I hear too much to hear but a mental shout,
And it is severely taxing.

So laugh, young fool, young disgrace,
And I will make it your last laughing breath-
I have the power to crush you in death's embrace-
Even though this listener happens to be deaf.

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

Carbon Copy
Mewtwo is here! (Warning. Contains one swear word).

And of course you sense me coming,
Try to flee, take flight,
I fill your mind with mystic drumming,
Urging your will to fight.

Your turn to me, your body agile,
Twisting and turning in the air,
Your so small, and so fragile,
Easy to break, easy to scare.

My fingers flex, my mind elate-
I'll prove original weaker than cloned,
I blast a powerful Incinerate-
Power great my mind is so honed.

You catch fire and writhe,
Body covered in muck and sand,
Undeserving to be alive,
Once again I flex my hand.

I summon up all my strength,
All the power that I can find,
And after charging at great length,
I barrage you with my mind.

You fall, weak, back broken,
The first Pokémon to ever exist,
You are weak, you are but a token
Of my power, that's the twist!

I was made by power and science,
You a freak accident of lady luck,
Within myself I find reliance,
Within you is merely the will to fuck.

All you do is what instinct commands,
I have logic and thought in my reach,
You must comply to nature's demands,
My mind is immune to instinct's breach.

I see you attack-what's this, mega drain?
I laugh-is this the greatest you can muster?
You must have been driven insane,
You pathetic, simple-minded luster.

But then I slip, realize too late-
You and I share the same genetic code,
I'm such a fool-All I did was berate!
Now within you I am forced to abode.

I grow pathetic, ever weaker,
I find that with each passing our-
My strength is growing ever weaker-
Only adding to your formidable power.

You are pure,
I'm tainted with thought and sin,
You are pure,
I see that now. Well done, you win...

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

Congratulations -- you used the f-word in an intelligent way. Seriously, there should be an award for that ;3
Really though, both those poems were amazing! Especially the Mewtwo one, though it might just be that I love Mewtwo.

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

Aww, I love you t- *shot*

Anyways, those poems are AMAZING. I'm linking the Espeon one in my signature.
