Pre-round Notes
These people really should know better than to just read out passages from old, leather-bound books they find in locked chests in ancient rooms. Apparently they don't, though, and so they've been plunged through a magical portal into a huge, dome-shaped room, roughly the same size as a standard battlefield. They immediately sieze on this fact, with the girl being selected as the referee and the two guys assuming trainer positions. One sends out a Pichu - with an oddly steel-colored coat - and the other a Scraggy. The two glare at each other as menacingly as they can as the battle begins.

Round 1 Begin!

Nikola is the first to move, though 'move' is perhaps not the best description. He simply stands there and builds up the electrical charge in his body - at the same time, it arcs over the metal in his fur and gives him a nasty zap, causing him to cry out. Oliver, meanwhile, begins flexing her muscles and exercising, and this seems to have far more of an effect than it normally should: by the time she finishes, her muscles are noticably larger. She grins, flushed with the feeling of power.

Nikola screws up his face at his next move: he has to kiss that thing? Ugh. Still, he's nothing if not dedicated to his cause, so putting on his best facade of affection he runs up to Oliver and kisses her softly on the cheek. Then, leaving Oliver looking at him confusedly, he darts away, disgusted by his actions. Oliver blushes bright orange, and, thinking about it, ends up very confused. At the same time, she idly exercises her muscles some more, ending up considerably stronger than before.

With her newfound strength, she begins scrabbling at the ground, quickly disappearing into a hole. Nikola looks at it and realizes that he has absolutely no way to attack her. Instead, he sparkles briefly and then forms a glowing, translucent white shield around herself, hopefully to lessen the impact of Oliver's moves. No sooner has he does this than the ground underneath him seemingly explodes, and Oliver emerges out of the hole that suddenly exists. Unfortunately, the brief moment of contact was enough for the static electricity in Nikola's fur to transfer to Oliver, leaving her paralyzed and Nikola hurting.

Still, he has to do what his trainer says; he begins charging up a large quantity of electricity inside his body, discharging it in a huge bolt of energy that arcs straight to Oliver and zaps her, simeltaneously arcing over Nikola's metal-filled fur and causing him to grimace. When he looks up again, Oliver is running towards him; she smashes into his side with a harsh tackle, then leaps back.

And immediately, she does the same again. Charging towards him, she slams into him and tosses him aside. Oddly, though, a strange red glow begins spreading outwards from the wound, quicly growing to cover his entire body. He darts at her, smashing into her side with considerably more force than anything of his size should be able to, then leaps away.

Drawing toxins from various sources within his body, Nikola concentrates them in his mouth as a concentrated purple goop. Shuddering at the taste, he spits it at his opponent; it lands on her ad very quickly soaks through her skin, entering her bloodstream. Beset with a horrible feeling of sickness, Oliver tries to attack her opponent; unfortunately, she trips, landing flat on her face. She picks herself up painfully, just as the round draws to an end.

Round 3 Begin!

Nikola begins running around comically to begin the round, tracing surprisingly fast, tight circles. He begins, slowly, to speed up, and soon enough he's going almost too fast to make out, and then he suddenly comes to a stop: he has four, identical Pichu behind him. Oliver looks on in confusion: which one is the real one? Ah well... maybe a dance will impress him! Yes! She takes off on her non-sequitr with eageress, beginning a dance - bur her muscles lock up, and she can't move.

Now Nikola begins drawing on the magic of the arena. He charges up the energy into a brilliant white beam, which he then fires at his opponent; it hits, and knocks her over backwards. She leaps straight back up, though, and begins once again trying to dance; suddenly, though, her mind is filled with thoughts of Nikola, and she trips and falls, smashing her face into the ground. She lies there, groaning, and seems disinclined to get up.

Finally, Nikola draws on his own energy, a series of light green spheres forming around him and swirling aruond, before they all pour towards Oliver and smash into her, exploding on impact. Oliver groans, and then decides to settle down for a nap - she tucks her arms under her head, curls up, and nods off. Almost instantly, her wounds close over, her muscles release, her mind clears, and the poison in her bloodstream fades away, as her body's natural healing processes begin to work in overdrive.

Round 4 Begin!

Nikola watches Oliver intently, checking whether she's going to do anything to target him. As he watches, Oliver begins muttering in her sleep; she suddenly leaps up, eyes still closed, and her fist is suddenly glowing with crackling electricity. She, and all her clones, charge at Nikola, preparing to deal him a mighty blow - but at the last second he sidesteps, leaving Oliver to be hurled forwards by her own momentum and crash into a wall, the electricity in her fist discharging.

Immediately, though, she leaps back up, still snoring gently. This time her fist becomes surrounded by a dark aura, and she runs at Nikola; he tries to once again sidestep, but Oliver wheels around and hits him regardless, a horrible blow to the stomach throwing him back and winding him. He grimaces as he struggles back to his feet.

Suddenly, as though her work is done, Oliver falls back to the ground, once again unmovingly asleep. This sleep, though, seems different than the earlier one; it's more of a subliminal impression than anything one could really put their finger on. Seeing that she's not going to attack him, Nikola regains some of his confidence; he darts towards the nearest Scraggy on all fours, his tail changing to a metallic silver color; when he gets near enough to strike, he wheels around, smashing his tail into her head, hoping it's the real one. He's in luck, as his tail connects with solid bone; the illusion revealed, the clones fade away. The impact shifts her back some, but more importantly it seems to jolt her out of her slumber: her eyes snap open, and she leaps to her feet, rested and refreshed.

Suddenly, the greenish shield around Nikola flickers briefly before fading away, leaving him decidedly unprotected.
