To start off the round, Flaress didn’t make a move, instead waiting to see what her opponents were commanded to do. Once again Dave was given the opportunity to make the first hit of the battle. He squinted, tightening the thin layer of skin atop his head and making his skull seemingly stick out more. This essentially made his head a human battering ram, just ready to crash into either of his opponents. Dave charged forward at Flaress, head low so his forehead was pointed straight at her. He careened into her with an almighty force, literally sending her into a wild flip. Flaress had the air knocked out of her as she felt the full brunt of the attack. She hit the deck hard, and from there she gingerly returned to her feet. Dave was amazed that he was fine himself, his skull feeling perfectly normal after the tough blow that normally would have hurt him. He decided he would figure it out later. Suijin also decided to not attack right away, and this gave Sollux a chance to move before his opponents. He groaned as he realized he was performing an attack that was all too common. He moved forwards and began to dance in the only way a Solosis could. Spinning through the air. Even though it was simple, one would have to agree it was much more graceful than Dave’s attempts. Soon dark and menacing cumulonimbus clouds covered up the hot sun once more, and a steady downpour began to make the boat slick and slippery again.
Realizing that neither of her opponents were protecting or using Safeguard, Flaress felt it was time for her to make a move in this round. Having been struck by the Head Smash Flaress realized that she no longer had a strong lead like before, and she had to get back somehow. She generated a small circle of purple flames, flames tinted with more of her ghostly energy. She sent this ring of fire forwards, unravelling itself so it moved like a snake in the air towards Sollux. However, it seemed that Flaress was still suffering from the effects of the Head Smash, and her wisps of flame were horribly off target, missing Sollux entirely. She sighed and looked down at her paws in disgust. Suijin felt that he should be able to accomplish much more than his partner. He began to run around the deck of the boat again. This would have been much harder if he wasn’t a water-type, as he would have been slipping and sliding all over the place. However, he had no trouble keeping his footing, and soon his speedy efforts resulted in two carbon copies of the Squirtle once more, standing right beside Suijin. Or flanking him. The real Suijin was not to be identified. Yet.
Dave once again was given the privilege to attack first in the round, and he made good use of his opportunities once more. He squinted and lowered his head into charging position for the second time, making Flaress shiver with fear. She knew what was coming, and she was not exactly happy about that. Dave charged forward zealously, feeling a rush of excitement as he realized how easy it was to make a mockery of his opponent. With this added enjoyment he put a bit of extra backing behind his attack, and when he struck Flaress he felt her catapult even farther through the air. The Vulpix landed hard once again, this time taking a worrisome amount of time returning to her feet. Her vision was starting to become hazy, and she realized she might not be able to take another one of those blows again. Dave was once again spared from any recoil damage, and though this made things easier for himself, it irked him ever so slightly. Sollux decided that he could add to the passengers on the pain train himself, and began to form a connection with the cloud above his head, pouring electrical energy into it. Soon the cloud above him was crackling with electricity, causing all three Suijin to look up, horror etched across their faces. As their eyes pointed to the sky a gigantic bolt of lightning came down and struck the real Suijin right in the head. The attack caused him to scream in pain as he felt his skin fizzle, his clones disappearing instantly. As quickly as it appeared the lightning disappeared, still leaving Suijin smoking.
Flaress knew that she had little left in her, and so she had to deliver one last attack before she left the battle. She had a vain hope that the referee would call the damage on her, but the teenager was as stone-faced as ever, adhering to the lack of a Damage Cap. Flaress let out a weal cry as she let loose a bundle of dark energy. The attack surged out in every direction at first, but then the balls of darkness began to curl back and go towards Sollux. The Solosis cringed as his body was manifested by the evil attack, and he was flung backwards through the air, laying to rest (figuratively) near the rail of the boat. He kept his eyes tightly squeezed, not wanting to return to the devastation of the battle. Suijin himself was not free of pain, having been quite put off by the Thunder that had hurt him. Now it was time to get payback against the enemy who had so far made a mockery of his partner. He ran forward at Dave again, using his, now trademarked, three-punch combo. One to the gut, one to the neck, and a final jab right at the forehead. Dave groaned as the attack struck his head. That attack had certainly hurt his skull, so he growled to signal that his opponent had made his point. Suijin backed away with a small glimmer of hope.
Dave now decided it was time to finish off the Vulpix who had begun the battle with a cockiness that had very much annoyed him. He squinted again, still worrying that he was about to feel recoil, his luck had run out. However, he would have the honour of knocking out Flaress either way. He charged forward not nearly as hard as he needed to, only needing an intermediate attack to cause her to faint. He crashed into her for the final time, and with the blow Flaress drifted into unconsciousness, finally at peace. Glace returned her to her Pokeball as Dave continued to ponder why he wasn't in a horrible amount of pain. Then it came to him in a flash after looking at his partner. Sollux had linked them with a mental connection last round, performing some strange action. Now he realized that the Solosis must have switched their abilities, giving him a protecting coat over top of his skin. That was why his head didn't hurt. He smiled as he looked back at his partner, his cringing partner. They really worked well together, even if one was not really suited well for battle it seemed. Suijin, now scared out of his wits, was about to pay back his opponent for causing his partner to faint, when the referee blew his whistle. It was league regulations that all rounds be ended when a Pokemon faints.

Arena Notes:
-A steady downpour is falling, making the deck of the boat slick
Ref’s Notes:
-Combined damage from all three Head Smashes = 76% O_O That’s what happens when you don’t implement a Damage Cap
-Will-O-Wisp missed
-The second Head Smash was a Critical Hit, not that it mattered
-Dark Pulse caused Sollux to flinch
-The second Thunder would have been a Critical Hit as well had Sollux not flinched
-Of course, neither of those last two notes matter as Flaress fainted before they could take effect
-Glace, you have horrible luck (well, you were lucky that I forgot to DQ you)
-Mawile to order attacks next
