Oops, that's right. Your energy. My bad. >>;

Well, you've done a great job so far, so we'll make this an easy round. Even if it's going to leave you open for a bit. Can't have everything, I suppose.

Chill, then charge beam, then chill some more. If Halan has clones on the second action, shock wave instead. If Halan is protecting on the second action, chill then and push charge beam/shock wave back an action.

Chill ~ Charge Beam / Shock Wave / Chill ~ Chill / Charge Beam / Shock Wave

Well, this seems like a waiting game...Halan, you have been status-ed. Now we have to work that to our advantage...

Swords Dance if you have manage it, then follow up with a Payback and finish with another swords Dance. For all we know, all that dancing may loosen you up a bit.

Backtract Cataract

High up among Asber's eastern mountains a glacier-fed waterfall plunges over a hundred feet down a sheer rock face, tracing rainbows in the air and setting up a din that echoes back a hundredfold from the surrounding peaks. It is considered one of the region's greatest natural treasures, and it no doubt would draw a considerable bounty of tourists if it weren't high up in the middle of pokémon-infested nowhere.

The area directly below the falls is quite pleasant, though. The river branches and breaks across the uneven ground, trickling down into a spreading network of streams and pools, all colonized by enterprising mountain fish and pokémon. It is a particularly fine one of these that the trainers have found, nestled in a gravelly dip overflowing with flowering bracken and stunted pines. The falls' roar still reverberates in the air, but the water, though cold, is calm and bitingly clear, forming a pool about two meters wide and a meter deep at its deepest point. Overall, it is the picture of tranquility at the heart of the wilderness--which, of course, makes it prime territory to utterly wreck with a pokémon battle.

The noise of the waterfall will overwhelm sound-based moves, so damaging sound-based moves have their base power reduced by 50, while non-damaging sound-based moves have their accuracy/success rate reduced by 30%.

Eelektrik breathes a sigh of relief; she really does need a break. She closes her eyes, a few last raindrops dripping from them slowly, and collects her breath. Even though she's not doing anything, she's still gasping for air, her lungs going overtime; it'll take a while before she's recovered fully.

Halan, meanwhile, has decided to dance off his emotions. He kicks mud up as he dances around furiously, punching around and somehow managing through all the madness to limber up his muscles, and he even sharpens his hand-blades a bit. The paralysis still lingers on, waiting for its chance to attack, but for now he feels more ready than ever to deal some damage.

He braces himself, waiting, and he knows his moment is coming. Eelektrik uncurls herself, charging up a small amount of electricity; she sends it towards Halan in a thin beam, and Halan takes the hit readily. It fizzes out quickly, and eelektrik is disappointed to find herself quite uncharged after the attack - and even more disappointed when Halan runs at her, dark energy glowing around him and an even more dark look spreading across his face.

He pounces into the air and slams down on her, fists-first and lands a heavy blow, knocking eelektrik into the mud. She hisses in pain, a heavy bruise building where she'd been hit; she floats slowly back up while Halan backs away, still grinning.

Eelektrik breathes deep again. That hurt, but she still needs to recover her energy, or she'll faint from exhaustion before doing anything else. She ignores the pain in her side hammering at her and concentrates on her breathing, in and out, like a pregnant lady. She feels her energy restoring itself, slowly, but better than nothing. Better than before, at least.

And Halan doesn't seem interested in her now, anyhow. He kicks up more mud, twirling around with determination, limbering himself up for the battle. He sharpens his tiny blade against each other and they glint in the sunlight, sharp and deadly, and he's now definitely ready to attack.

Ok Halan, lets do something tricky.

I want you to use Extremespeed coupled with Force Palm, that should get you there before she can make a move. Now, if she tosses up a protect, switch that Force Palm for a Feint.

On the last move depends on what they do. If she chill, use Hone Claws. If she attacks with a damaging move, use Payback. If she attacks with a non-damaging move use Aura Sphere.

Extremespeed+Force Palm/Feint ~ Hone Claws/Payback/Aura Sphere

Hmm-mmm, I'd rather take a feint than a force palm, so we'll lead with a protect to be broken. Follow with swagger, and then, since we should have a free action thanks to that combo, roast him with a thunderbolt.

Eelektrik sighed and waved a fin in front of her, forming a protective shield - before Halan kicked off the wet mud, launching into the air and forcing himself straight through the shield. He slammed into Eelektrik and pushed her onto the ground, kicking off her with a heavy foot and then another, digging her into the mud, and she grunted with each blow while he landed easily a few feet away. Eelektrik floated slowly, ungracefully back into the air, mud dripping off her, and she stared lazily at Halan, knowing she was almost done for.

But not yet. She tried to smirk - couldn't really, but tried. She floated towards him, taunting him, laughing at how terribly he did before, paralyzed already. His face faltered, grew red with anger - a burning desire to destroy the floating worm. Rage boiled in his gut. He wanted her to burn. She stopped jeering at him, too tired to talk anymore, and waited for what she knew was going to come.

But it didn't. Halan stared furiously at the eelektrik before him, but she blurred into a yellow nothingness, his fury making him lose his train of thought - he couldn't see, think, nothing. He put his paws on his eyes and rubbed, trying to clear his mind, but nothing.

A crackling bolt of lightning flashed unto him, clearing his mind quite well, but tearing through his nervous system at the same time. He shrieked in pain, hugging himself until the electricity faded, and found he couldn't move when it was done - his muscles were seized up, frozen. He glared at eelektrik, knew she had to die, and soon.

Did Halan actually damage himself in confusion on the third action, or did his attack just fail? Because with +6 attack, hitting yourself in confusion hurts quite a lot...

Sorry, I don't think I can let that go. It directly contradicts the way confusion works for every other referee that I know of.

All right, you've done great, Eelektrik! I don't see you going much farther, but let's see if we can get a little more bite in before we're done. Zap off a discharge to see if you can worsen Halan's paralysis somewhat. Then chill and do it again.

Ouch. Well then deary, lets start with a Reversal as a beginning. If they are still standing after that, use Aura Sphere as the last two actions. If you can't attack for any reason on a action, use the move on the next action.

Eelektrik draws up all her remaining energy - and there isn't much of it - and pulls it forth as electricty, little sparks snaking around her equally snake-like body. The electricity spreads and suddenly arches outwards in a wave, spreading over Halan as a bright sheet of lightning. Halan yelps shivers as the electricity seeps into his already addled body, shivering, but Eelektrik is worse off - all her energy was put into that attack.

She falls finally unto the muddy, wet ground, eyes closing and lands with a wet thud. Halan shivers and watches to see if he should bother attacking, but she doesn't get up. She's soon returned to her pokeball with a flash of red, and Halan sighs, relieved.

Alright Halan, lets see what we can do...

Calm Mind for the first action to deal with the confusion, then follow with Psychic for the last two actions. If they protect, switch for Calm Mind. Simple set this time, I know.

Calm Mind ~ Psychic/Calm Mind ~ Psychic/Calm Mind

All right, Phyto. Let's make it brief and brutal. If Halan wants to race us with damage, he's going to lose.

Scoot a little closer to Halan while he calm minds, then blow out a haze to eliminate all his stat-ups once he's done. After that, flamethrower twice.

If you can't see Halan through the haze on the second action, go find him while yelling a torment at him, then flamethrower on the last action.

Haze ~ Flamethrower / Find Halan (Torment) ~ Flamethrower

While the newly-released Phyto basked in the beauty of mud mud glorious mud, Halan closed his eyes and concentrated - or, more like, tried not to. The confusion had addled his brain enough, and the paralysis his muscles, so for now he just focused on calming down. It seemed to do the trick, because his muscles relaxed and more importantly, his mind did. He felt sharper and more ready for all mental attacks, both his and his opponents.

However, it was in vain. Phyto grinned and exhaled a thick, gassy smoke, which quickly spready throughout the already abused arena, covering Halan and the mud and even the waterfall. Halan blinked his eyes, relying on his aura-sensors to spot Phyto, and Phyto remembered where Halan had been - right in front of him - so he didn't worry for the next action in regards to finding his opponent. Most importantly though, Halan felt a lot weaker. All his bonuses were stripped away by the fog, as if they had never been.

Halan sighed and, using Phyto's aura, grabbed the grimer psychically, pinning down on whatever he had for a brain. Phyto winced and scrunched down into the mud; it felt like his pores were on fire, but even worse because he didn't worrry so much about fire, he worried about this. It didn't last too long though, and when it stopped, Phyto let out a burst of actual fire - right at where he knew Halan was. The lucario let out a bone-aching cry, letting Phyto know he'd hit his target, and Halan felt as if he was literally melting under the heat of the fire, despite the cool air of the haze. But like the psychic, it lasted only a few seconds, though Halan surely felt worse from the attack than Phyto did.

And the process repeated: Halan grabbed Phyto and pinned him down, making him feel sick (it's about time a grimer felt sick), nauseous, like the world was flipping over end over end. His sludgy body was aching so much already that he was regretting entering this battle, not that he had a vote. But he retaliated with glee, letting loose another torrent of flames, and again it hit its target and Halan screeched in agony; he actually fell down on the mud, scorch marks covering him entirely and the cool mud soothing them. He had little strength to get up, so he just curled into the fetal position until his trainer told him he had to get hoping; hopefully, that wouldn't happen. Because he really didn't want to.
