Re: Satellites (Catch Me If I Fall) OOC/SU

>:O okay now I just gotta make myself post things. Hope you don't mind if I'm a bit slow for the next week or two. Fritz is done but Emi is not.

Username: Big Red Cherry Bomb
Name: Dr. Fritz Almsteadt
Gender: Male
Age: 55
Hometown: Castelia City
Legendary: Victini
Powers: Fritz is capable of small-scale nuclear fission inside his body, which causes him to give off great heat and induce nausea, dizziness, and vomiting in any too close to him. In addition, if he is killed via heavy trauma (blunt force trauma such as a car crash, fall, being crushed to death, or another particularly violent death such as dismemberment, his body detonates in a localized nuclear blast of an approximate yield of 0.03 kt (.45% of the force of the Little Boy nuclear bomb).
Side: Neutral

Appearance: [image]

The first thing many notice about Fritz is his impressive height - he clocks in at six feet and nine inches tall. He has a slender, pointed face and high cheekbones, and the rest of his body is slender and supple. He may appear frail, but he still possesses a good amount of strength. His hair is dark, though full of grey and even white streaks, and kept cut short and slicked close to his head. His eyes are a dark brown, and he bears a long scar over his left eye, and two more small ones cutting through his right eyebrow. He typically dresses very properly, in dress shirts and slacks, well-polished boots and long overcoats.

Personality: Fritz is a stern and stubborn man, with very little patience and a lust for power and knowledge. He cares very little for his fellow man, not objecting to preforming gruesome experiments on other people. However, he does seem to care about the medical arts, and will help to heal the wounded and sick. He uses his size and power to manipulate and frighten others, using them to his own ends. He is cunning and extremely intelligent, his mind sharp and tongue sharper.

History: Born and raised in Castelia City, Fritz was ambitious from a young age. His mother died during his birth - an effect of the power her son held in his body that lay dormant, poisoning her system with radiation, accumulating with his birth. His father was not up to the task of raising the young boy alone, and he was sent to live with an uncle on his mother's side. His uncle was a strict and forceful guardian, but Fritz flourished under the watchful eye of his uncle.

As a young child, it was obvious that he was interested in medicine - his uncle caught him on several occasions preforming experiments on vermin, pets, and neighbourhood children. He never discouraged this behaviour in the young Fritz.

He received excellent grades all through his school career, and quickly took to two different fields - Medicine and Nuclear Science. He was placed in accelerated classes, graduating high school at 15 and accepted to university 6 months later. He spent nearly ten years learning his two trades, and was hired in a chemotherapy lab for his apprenticeship. During his schooling, Fritz had discovered his power when he managed to induce cancer in a laboratory animal without any other external effects. He begun testing, learning quickly how to control his ability so he can control when it becomes active instead of it being random like before.

Because of his new knowledge of his power, Fritz sought out places to put it to use. Then, the then-young man was hired onto the Castelia Project, an effort dedicated to developing nuclear power by harnessing the power of the legendary Pokemon Victini, whose body was capable of unlimited nuclear fission. Fritz recognized his connection to the small Pokemon the moment he laid eyes on her. Part of him just knew he was bound to defend her, and it pained him to see her suffering. And so he carefully got to work orchestrating a plan to free her while still appearing innocent. When Victini was freed, Fritz left the project shortly before it was shut down, and spent the rest of his time in the chemotherapy lab he worked in before, biding his time until he could see Victini again.

Re: Satellites (Catch Me If I Fall) OOC/SU

Could I reserve a Darkrai and Heatran defender?

Username: Mad MOAI
Name: Ghir Scath
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Hometown: Snowpoint City

Legendary: Darkrai
Powers: If Ghir stands within twenty meters of someone and focuses, he can make them feel vaguely sleepy and distracted.
Side: Ghir leans toward the evil side of Nameless.

Appearance: Though he's only seventeen, Ghir's generally intimidating appearance makes him look somewhat more mature. He has sharp, narrow eyes that are a dark blue color like the night sky. Other than that, his face is generally soft, and he would probably look friendly if it wasn't for the mask-like... thing that he wears on it. Based on a Murkrow's beak, the mask is in the shape of a skewed W with the outer legs turned out and covers the bridge of his nose and the area of his face just below his eyes. The mask is a bright yellow color.

Ghir's hair is long and rough, not the kind of smooth you'd imagine when you visualize a female with long hair. It's a dark brownish gray color - it might as well be black because it's so hard to tell the difference anyway. His hair normally falls down to between his shoulder blades but he always has two sections of it draped over his shoulders.

Ghir is somewhat tall for his age; his height is 5'8", and he has a slim, defined build. He has long, agile arms and quick feet, although he doesn't usually move that fast and so he regularly just looks like a tall guy walking down the icy paths of Snowpoint City. His somewhat oversized hands are a little intimidating, though, and looking at him and his usually serious look it's hard not to imagine him silently attacking you and leaving no trace.

Normally, Ghir wears a warm vest that's a dark, cool gray on the top with a jagged black pattern towards the bottom. Usually he wears thick, darkened jeans for the sake of having insulated pockets into which to slip his hands when he's not using them to fiddle with his Poke Balls or interact with his Pokemon. Even though he generally dresses in warm, insulating clothing (since he lives in Snowpoint City), he keeps his arms bare apart from short black sleeves covering his shoulders and suggesting the presence of a t-shirt behind his vest. He's quite particular about feeling the world around him with his hands and arms, which is why he does this. The wind is one of his favorite things to feel.

Personality: Ghir doesn't talk much because his mind his always working. He finds entertainment in pondering over things in the world when he's not busy moving around or taking care of his Pokemon. Somehow he can always find something to think about, even if he's gone over the topic before, whether it's the well-preened smoothness of his Honchkrow Aisling's feathers or the weather. Because he doesn't have a particular occupation other than "Pokemon Trainer" and isn't required to make conversation with a lot of people, he often will spend his time in silence training his Pokemon or just relaxing with them taking naps. Towards the world, he feels rather casual - though he does believe that there are things in it worth protecting, he finds the evil of humankind overwhelming and so seeks to do something to stop humankind, thus the gravitation towards the side of the Nameless One. Particularly, he likes the wind, either because of his close relationship with Aisling or because he almost never wears anything on his arms. He thinks that though humankind might be destroyed one day, the wind will still blow, and thus it is eternal and worth protecting. The neverending wind is one of the things that inspires him to think so much, since the way its "voice" works it always seems to be thinking. One of the reasons Ghir avoids talking is so that he can hear the wind.

Though Ghir looks rather scary, on the outside he's fairly gentle... about half of the time. When he's around random people he doesn't know, he'll keep his face straight and his brain working, not doing anything to hurt them. But when he gets the chance to fight an important, famous or strong opponent, or if he gets into a particularly fun fight, he'll start getting cruel. Ghir loves to battle Pokemon almost more than the Pokemon do, and so if something entertaining happens he could start having too much fun, and make his Pokemon fight a lot more fiercely than they normally would. He also would start taunting the opponent, and give his Pokemon different commands than normal.

Ghir looks forward to taking on challenges, but if his Pokemon are in serious danger he will often panic and either get angry or back off considerably.

History: When he was young, Ghir always liked being outside. He lived in Sandgem at this point, and so he would always take walks by the beach, watch the waves, and of course, feel the wind. Occasionally he would stroll to the edges of town and watch the wild Pokemon in the distant grass. At first he didn't think much of this, but he had a lot of free time and so when he was old enough to take care of himself for an hour or so he would walk out farther along the routes and watch the Pokemon. It was a bit boring for the first day or so, but as he continued observing them he started to notice the relationships they shared and the way they moved, and several other things about how Pokemon lived. When Ghir was thirteen years old, he decided that he would study Pokemon as a career - later, of course. He considered training them, but at first he decided that it wouldn't be for him. What could he do with a bunch of strong Pokemon? For him, living with them was enough. For now, he'd learn as much as he could, and when he was old enough to get a job and do things that adults could do he would find out more about them.

He was going to ask his mom how to go about studying Pokemon, but on one evening as he was strolling back to his house he came across a particularly troublesome Pokemon. A little black bird had crossed his path, and though it was mischievous at first and was taunting him to do all sorts of things like climb trees, the bird soon tired when Ghir told himself to focus on getting home. At this, the little bird started fluttering around as if looking for something, but then finally settled on following Ghir to the edge of Sandgem Town. This annoyed Ghir a little, to be honest, and he tried to shoo away the little bird but it wouldn't budge its wings. As he looked at it, he noticed that its feathers were abnormally ragged and it looked thin, even for a bird with strong flight muscles. At this, he concluded that it must have lost its parents or something like that - either to those weirdos Team Galactic everyone was gossiping about (he wasn't sure if the rumors were true, though) or just because they were captured or because they were eaten by a predatory Pokemon. Not wanting to leave the poor bird alone to die, he allowed it to tail him back to his house. His parents didn't oppose Pokemon, but they still didn't expect one to walk in the door with their son on the way back from what was supposed to be just a walk. Ghir explained that it most likely would have died if he left it alone, and finally convinced his parents to let the bird stay in his house for a while. As it did, Ghir read up on how to take care of such a little Pokemon. Though the bird that he confirmed to be a Murkrow was quite troublesome, he couldn't stand to let it go by itself outside for fear of it getting eaten or captured. This just about forced him to keep the Murkrow in the house, even though letting it fly around wasn't all that convenient. In time, Ghir groomed its unpreened feathers back to their former black and shiny state and fed it enough to get its energy back. As he did this, Ghir formed a bond with this Murkrow, and when he finally trusted it enough to take care of himself it wouldn't fly away when he brought it outside. Inevitably, it was his first Pokemon. And so from then on he took the Murkrow on walks with him to study Pokemon. He named it Aisling, meaning "dream," because he never would have dreamed that such a little bird could be so troublesome. Or maybe there was something else behind that name that wouldn't reveal itself from the back of his mind.

At one point Aisling was being too mischievous on a walk and got in a fight with a local group of Starly. Though Aisling easily made it out of the scuffle unhurt, the way he had utilized his beak and claws in such a way intrigued Ghir. Ghir then became interested in actually training his Murkrow - there was a certain thrill in watching Aisling flit around taunting his opponent as he struck with his talons. At fourteen, Ghir had formed a strong bond with his Murkrow, and by now he was so interested in battling wild Pokemon that he easily convinced his parents to let him become a Trainer. Ghir conversed shortly with Professor Rowan before heading towards Jubilife. As Ghir progressed, he also made friends with a wild Duskull looking for somebody with whom to mess around. He named it Memento Mori for its creepy looks, and how it reminded him of death. Mori ended up helping him largely in defeating the first gym, since Aisling was weak to Rock.

In another year and a half, Ghir had progressed largely as a Trainer. At this time he was focusing on grinding his Pokemon's strength in preparation for any sudden challenges that might be ahead of them. At this point, he had evolved Aisling and Mori and recruited two new Pokemon: a timid Drowzee-now-Hypno by the name of Nemu for her ability to make opponents sleep; and a Skorupi-now-Drapion named Sheath for her careful nature and tendency to hold back. He had obtained a mask-type ornament for his face resembling the beak of a Murkrow to commemorate the long friendship between Aisling and him. Then the incidents with Arceus and the Nameless One started to flare up again. As Ghir headed back towards Snowpoint, his favorite city and the city in which he had taken his home, he thought about who he came across as he traversed the trails. Oddly, though, as he looked over each person in his mind they started acting as if they needed a nap or as if their mind was somewhere other than walking. As if they were thinking over a nightmare that they had received last night. A bit startled, Ghir looked into this weird thing, and found out that it occurred every time he focused on someone that was near him. To be honest, this scared him a little.

Then Darkrai came to him in a dream. The legendary Pokemon which Ghir had only ever heard of and never thought to visualize explained the rush to find a human to give power. Darkrai was a big vague, but also explained how he had been disliked by humans because he could accidentally cause anyone who came near him to fall asleep and have nightmares. At first Ghir doubted that this dream had been important, but to tell the truth it did make a lot more sense. Ghir's "ability" was like a less developed version of Darkrai's ability. And what Darkrai had said about humans misunderstanding him really made Ghir think. As he traveled with his Pokemon, he started to notice the hatred between humans and their environment, even other humans. It didn't always happen, but anger points did stand out. Ghir grew to doubt the validity of human minds.

Pokemon:

Pokemon: Honchkrow
Nickname: Aisling
Gender: Male
Ability: Super Luck - Aisling is a particularly sharp bird - he has trained his aim and thus upped the chance that he will score a critical hit.
Nature: When fighting, Aisling is unusually cruel and prefers to torture his opponent slowly rather than let them live to fight. When he's not in battle, Aisling is equally fierce and won't think twice about the person he's talking to before he says things. In his heart, though, he fights to protect Ghir and won't let anything happen to his Trainer, even if it means skipping a turn in battle. (Rash: +Sp. Attack, -Sp. Defense)
Moveset: Dark Pulse, Perish Song, Screech, Drill Peck

Pokemon: Hypno
Nickname: Nemu
Gender: Female
Ability: Inner Focus - Nemu is very good at focusing on her own fighting rather than her opponents', and so she can easily resist the urge to flinch when a particularly tough attack connects with her.
Nature: Nemu is rather quiet and doesn't like talking. She also somewhat dislikes fighting, and so will often put her opponent to sleep before giving them nightmares or attacking them so they don't feel pain when they're conscious. To tell the truth, Nemu is afraid of Ghir and is careful not to upset him, no matter what. (Quiet: +Sp. Attack, -Speed)
Moveset: Hypnosis, Nightmare, Poison Gas, Psychic

Pokemon: Dusclops
Nickname: Memento Mori (Mori for short)
Gender: Male
Ability: Pressure - Mori's spooky aura pressures his opponents to do their best, making them use more energy than normal when they fight. Attacks that are normally simple to execute become only somewhat easy to use.
Nature: Honestly, Mori doesn't care what Ghir thinks, and Ghir knows this. Mori fights how he wants and moves how he wants - Ghir's commands mean nothing to him. He lives only for himself, though fortunately he's been contained in a Poke Ball and so he doesn't have much of a choice other than to follow Ghir wherever he goes. (Bold: +Defense, -Attack)
Moveset: Dark Pulse, Bind, Future Sight, Pain Split

Pokemon: Drapion
Nickname: Sheath
Gender: Female
Ability: Battle Armor - Sheath has unusually tough skin, protecting her from any serious (critical) hits.
Nature: Sheath, unlike the other members of her team, is actually quite careful and will always analyze the situation before acting. She follows Ghir's orders without hesitation and is considerate to her opponent before and after a battle. It's weird how nice she is, because she'll even be kind to an enemy if she needs to. Sheath tends to criticize her Trainer for being too cruel a lot, but since she can be too careful and hesitant there's really nothing she can do about it that doesn't require hurting Ghir. (Careful: +Sp. Defense, -Sp. Attack)
Moveset: Crunch, Poison Tail, Iron Tail, Leer

Username: Mad MOAI
Name: Iarann Sliabh
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Hometown: Oreburgh City

Legendary: Heatran
Powers: Iarann tends to have good footing and agility when he moves. His body temperature is higher than normal, which gives him more resistance to heat, but in return he can't stand cold weather.
Side: The evil side.

Appearance: Iarann doesn't look average, but he doesn't stand out a whole lot either. His eyes are a chocolate-brown color and have a gentle sparkle to them. His face is overall sharp and well-defined, edged by a sharp jawbone and a strong neck. His face is accented by a mask-type ornament he wears on his forehead, which curves over his eyes and past his ears in one long spike and one short spike on each side. This mask is a shiny silver color.

Iarann appears a little bit feminine, but it's mostly because of his long reddish-brown hair. It's quite straight, fine and smooth, and ends in a jagged line at his hips. Sometimes it does get in the way, but he likes the idea of it keeping him slightly warmer when the air gets too cold for him, which is quite often. Other than that, Iarann has a hard, flowing build not reminiscent of a female. A little bit short, he stands at an almost average 5'2". He has a tall torso and comparably short arms, although his legs are long and nimble, giving him an advantage when he explores around Mt. Coronet as a sort of hobby.

Normally Iarann wears a long dark green jacket with a white stripe down the front. This jacket zips up almost all the way up the front and parts at his waist, leaving the two separate segments and the back to fall over his legs. Due to his dislike for even moderately cold weather, Iarann also wears warm, black sweatpants and simple dark blue hiking-type shoes.

Personality: Though he might look a bit weird to some people, Iarann is actually quite calm and gentle. He doesn't get excited by much anything, and is friendly and considerate towards almost anyone who may approach him. He can be judgmental, though, at least in his head. If someone who approaches him even just for a chat looks even mildly strange to him, he'll get edgy and won't want anything much to do with them. He'll do his best not to walk away hurriedly or look nervous, though, since he wouldn't want to insult him. He especially cares a lot for his Pokemon, and when he gets extra money he will often buy something special for each of them. This can make him look like a perfect-personality gentle person who makes friends with everybody, but probably his most noticeable trait that you will notice if you hang around with him long enough is that he starts complaining or getting irritable the minute the temperature starts dropping below sixty degrees Fahrenheit, even if he has his warm clothes on. When this happens he tends to go inside and not want to do anything outside until the air warms up again.

When he's given a task to do, Iarann will often do it without complaining, as long as it doesn't require going out into cold weather. Occasionally he might refuse to help someone, but there's usually a reason behind that - either he's busy training his Pokemon or he thinks that there's something too dangerous about the task.

Iarann doesn't get overly excited about Pokemon battling. He'll usually give his Pokemon orders calmly and he will think before he does so. The last thing he wants to happen is to have his Pokemon get hurt too bad because he wasn't thinking. He will get pretty riled up if his Pokemon are insulted, though, and when he's angry he fights hard. His judgmental side comes into play especially when he sees somebody looking skulky or wearing dark clothes, because he will often associate whatever person it is with abusing Pokemon or participating in some sort of crime involving them. Probably because of what happened after he had gotten his second Pokemon, Rose the Lileep. Because some jerk tried to steal his "rare" Pokemon more than once, he has a generally negative opinion of whoever even looks like they might do these things to Pokemon, and he leans toward the evil side of the Nameless One for the sole purpose of ridding the world of these sort of people or of anyone who has a chance of becoming these sort of people.

History: Iarann has always lived in Oreburgh City, and doesn't really know what life would be like in any more natural place like Floaroma. The mining town often has dusty air near the mine, which makes Iarann sensitive to what might be in the air. He's not allergic to anything, but if there's something that makes the air dusty, dirty or somehow unclear he will start coughing. Because of this towards his teenage years he generally stayed on the outskirts of Oreburgh to the north so that his breathing wouldn't act up if he caught a whiff of whatever was going on in the mines.

As a young one, Iarann was always interested in the Oreburgh Museum. At least he could look at rocks in there without coughing up a storm when dusty air from the mine got into his lungs. He had never really had a life with Pokemon, although his family did own a pet Starly. This Starly wasn't trained, but it gave him a link to what Pokemon were like, and so he was compassionate towards the creatures. Trainers passing through the area to challenge the Gym fascinated him, and one of his favorite things was getting to interact just a little with their Pokemon. He had never considered getting Pokemon of his own, since it sounded a bit too much of a responsibility when he was only ten years old. He did see what a lot of different types of the creatures looked like, and he developed a liking for the Rock- and Water-types.

When he was twelve, Iarann took a harder look at the museum and found out about Fossil Pokemon. This intrigued him immediately, and although he was pretty sure he'd never get anything as cool-sounding as a Fossil Pokemon, he was always hopeful that he would see one someday. Several Trainers came through Oreburgh, and if Iarann caught a friendly one on the outskirts, he would try to get to meet some of their Pokemon. But he never did see anything particularly prehistoric-looking.

One day, though, he happened to be north of Oreburgh at just the right time. All he was doing was taking a walk, but he was keeping his eyes on the ground in hopes of finding something interesting, like the coal he had learned about so many times over at the museum. It took a while, but he did indeed find something interested. It was a funny-shaped rock that he was sure had something hidden in it, just like the one or two geodes he had found before then. He didn't break it open, though - this weird spiral-shaped pebble didn't look much like a geode to him. Immediately he took it to the museum, and was delighted to find that he had come across the rare fossil of a prehistoric Pokemon. To his surprise, the museum curator had been able to revive a Pokemon from the fossil. Before making a decision, though, Iarann had to talk this through with his parents. Could he take care of another Pokemon? Iarann looked to his family's pet Starly, and to his experiences with Trainers coming through. An idea came to his head: with confidence, he himself could become a Pokemon Trainer! Several other people became Trainers when they were younger than he was right now, anyway. And he knew how to take care of himself pretty well, as displayed when he went on particularly long walks and hikes outside Oreburgh and toward Mt. Coronet. This would be an interesting first Pokemon, since he had been so interested in fossils in the first place. After a bit more thinking, he decided that he would revive a Pokemon from the fossil.

It wasn't quite what he had expected - he had thought that this Pokemon would look more reptilian - but with the Omanyte's flexible blue tentacles and its soulful, beady eyes, he instantly became friends with the little thing. He eased himself into learning how to battle Pokemon, training on some of the weaker wild Pokemon towards the west edge of Oreburgh. He wasn't quite sure how to do it, but he kept at it, and eventually figured out how to defeat several Pokemon in succession without letting his Omanyte, which he named Ocean for its habitat and excited eyes, get too badly hurt. She was getting stronger, and he wanted to train with her in the mine where stronger Pokemon sometimes showed up, but it wouldn't be a good thing for him to do thanks to his sensitive lungs.

After paying a quick visit to Professor Rowan in Sandgem, Iarann headed back towards Oreburgh for a final goodbye to his parents before he set off for Floaroma farther northwest. In Oreburgh gate, he kept his eyes open for more interesting rocks - he wanted to show Ocean what geodes were like. But he found another strangely-shaped rock this time. Still interested, he brought the rock, which he guessed was a fossil, back to the museum. He had been correct, which discouraged him only a little. He wasn't sure that he could handle the responsibility of another Pokemon, but it was about time Ocean got a friend to play with. It turned out that the Pokemon revived from the fossil wasn't all that hard to take care of, thanks to being a plant. The Lileep looked awfully like a flower to him, so Iarann named her Rose, after the prettiest flower he could think of. Hopefully she would evolve into something equally as stunning.

Though he was very fond of Rose, Iarann was careful to pay attention to Ocean as well. He brought Rose to Ocean's skill level, and continued north to Floaroma. That is, after he got the first Pokemon League badge from his local gym leader Roark. With his type advantage, it was relatively easy, although he had to deal with Ocean fainting after the Cranidos hit her rather hard.

Iarann traveled through his Trainerhood to Eterna. That weird building at the top made him suspicious the minute he got there, but he didn't think it would be anything this dangerous. The minute he headed east to check out the Pokemon statue, some dude in a weird suit pounced on him and almost managed to steal Ocean and Rose from him. Ocean put up a fight, but Rose was rather easy to snatch thanks to her being pretty much rooted to the ground wherever she went. Iarann barely managed to get his Pokemon back without starting too much of a fight, and relaxed until the next day, when the same guy showed up and tried to take the "rare and elusive" Pokemon again. This time Iarann didn't hold back - he felt a bit sorry for having to actually punch the guy in the face, but he got his Pokemon back, so it was all right. This made him rather angry; what idiots would even consider treating such wonderful things as Pokemon that way? If he came across any other people in those weird suits, he was sure to discourage them before they even opened their mouths to declare that they were going to take his Pokemon to "the boss."

Without much more trouble, Iarann eventually made it to Celestic town. Thanks to its proximity to Mt. Coronet, this place was a bit too cold for his liking. Nonetheless, he decided to train his Pokemon here so that maybe all of them could get used to the cold. While he trained Ocean and Rose on the wild Pokemon, he came across a rather weary-looking Trainer. This guy had just come down from Snowpoint City (which sounded like the opposite of paradise for Iarann), and had gone on a Pokemon-catching spree because there were so many rare ones around there. As it turned out, this Trainer was getting tired taking care of all of his new Pokemon, and wanted to give one away to Iarann. Not in much of a position to refuse, Iarann took the chance to get another Pokemon - two didn't seem like enough for a Trainer this far along on his journey, and he would probably want more of a type variety if he was going to cover his weaknesses. It turned out that he had received a male Snorunt the other trainer had named Sioc, meaning "frost." At first Sioc was suspicious of Iarann's funny-looking Fossil Pokemon, but eventually the Snorunt warmed up to them, and managed to be trained to their level.

Iarann hurried throughout Snowpoint, but managed to recruit another Pokemon to his team as he did so - a Seel he named Friede, since his mother had once told him it meant "peace," and the little thick-bodied Pokemon looked quite peaceful to him.

Iarann headed for Canalave. There he received a fishing rod and decided to see if he could get any interesting Pokemon from the nearby bodies of water, since he hadn't gotten the chance to see any modern aquatic Pokemon. Ocean was part Water-type, but she hadn't been alive for millions of years, so surely Water-type Pokemon from the modern times had to look different. Iarann ended up filling up his six-Pokemon party with two more Water-types because they looked so interesting to him. The first was an elegant fish with an oversized horn by the name of Goldeen. He named his new koi Pokemon Placid after the way he looked as he swam. The other addition to Iarann's team was an irresistibly adorable little puffer fish called a Qwilfish, who he named Sette, although now he can't remember why. Probably because it was simple and easy to remember, but it sounded like an elegant name for a not-so-elegant Pokemon. He didn't want to admit that she looked awkward when she swam, though.

With a full team, Iarann continued. As he headed farther east, two of his Pokemon evolved at around the same time. Friede came first, and she became an even more peaceful-looking seal-looking Pokemon. At first Iarann was startled by the glow surrounding her body, since he hadn't experienced any of his other Pokemon evolving, but when the glow faded he was speechless. Was Friede ... different? After a bit of interaction and a short battle with a wild Gastrodon, Iarann concluded "not really." She was still just as gentle out of battle and cruel in battle as she had been before.

Shortly after, his Goldeen Placid evolved into a different-looking koi Pokemon. This time he knew what to expect, although he was still a bit afraid of the horn.

The incident with cold suddenly becoming unbearable happened just after all of his Pokemon had finished evolving. His prehistoric Pokemon, especially, had taken what seemed like forever to progress to their next stages, but they had done so. Iarann was even more satisfied with Rose now that all those tentacles she had looked like flower petals, and her yellow eyes appeared gentler and less creepy and staring. Ocean had gotten slower, but he didn't mind - her defenses more than made up for it. Sioc had evolved into a rather intriguing-looking ball of ice with sharp horns and sharp fangs. Sette, however, had failed to evolve into anything, even something just a bit more majestic than she was now. Iarann still adored his cute little puffer fish, though.

As he came back across Mount Coronet, he saw quite a strange Pokemon, and it seemed to recognize him, though he had never even heard of it. It even talked to him, which was quite strange. Since it appeared to be in a hurry to get back to wherever it had been going, it summarized something that he didn't quite get and how he had to "pick a side" in the world starting soon. It disappeared before he could ask questions. A bit strange.

Iarann continued over Mt. Coronet. He was a bit nervous, though, specifically because he wasn't nervous. Since when had he been able to grip onto such a steep slope only by flexing his foot? And since when did the sixty-degree (Fahrenheit) air feel so freezing cold? He thought back to the strange Pokemon. It had said something about both of those things, which alarmed him a little bit. And the fact that he had to choose a side was only more confusing.

As time went on, though, he found that his abilities were especially advantageous as he traveled. As for picking a side... he only knew a little about that. Arceus had created the world, but Iarann felt more comfortable towards Arceus's nameless opponent. After all, he didn't want those Pokemon-stealing jerks to exist anymore.

This Pokemon's face wouldn't get out of his mind, and so he obtained a mask modeled after the shape of its skull so he wouldn't forget his duty: pummeling those Pokemon-stealing idiots before they ever moved.

Extra:

Pokemon:

Pokemon: Omastar
Nickname: Ocean
Gender: Female
Ability: Shell Armor - Ocean's sturdy shell protects her from receiving critical hits.
Nature: Ocean is actually quite affectionate towards her teammates, to the point of almost being obnoxious. She especially likes Iarann and when she receives a treat from him she will smother him with her tentacles. She doesn't take fighting too seriously, either, and relies on her defenses to keep her from fainting while she has fun dealing damage to her opponent. Her favorite things are eating treats, being praised by Iarann, and bothering Sioc. (Naive: +Speed, -Sp. Defense)
Moveset: Rollout, Brine, Water Pulse, Protect

Pokemon: Cradily
Nickname: Rose
Gender: Female
Ability: Storm Drain - Rose's Grass typing allows her to absorb any water that may be coming her way, using the energy to raise the power of her special attacks.
Nature: Rose is overall very calm and will fight slowly and carefully. She often gets mad at Ocean for annoying Sioc, but doesn't have the nerve to attack her own teammate. Rose receives a lot of attention from Iarann, but doesn't flaunt it. Nevertheless, she is grateful to have such good teammates and will protect them with her life. (Calm: +Sp. Defense, -Attack)
Moveset: Confuse Ray, AncientPower, Mega Drain, Recover

Pokemon: Glalie
Nickname: Sioc
Gender: Male
Ability: Inner Focus - Sioc is very good at focusing on how he's fighting and not how his opponent his fighting, giving him the immunity to any flinching that might be caused by an especially fierce attack.
Nature: Sioc is naturally suspicious and doubtful, and so will often fight on his own without paying too much attention to what Iarann has to say. Despite, this, Sioc is quite familiar with his teammates and will listen to what they have to say - especially Rose. He's grateful that she reprimands Ocean for annoying him about whatever the Omastar can think of, since he gets pretty riled up himself when Ocean does such things. He doesn't bother trying to fight back, though, since her Rock typing easily has an advantage against his Ice typing. (Adamant: +Attack, -Sp. Attack)
Moveset: Sheer Cold, Weather Ball, Ice Fang, Hex

Pokemon: Qwilfish
Nickname: Sette
Gender: Female
Ability: Poison Point - Sette's venomous body is covered in spikes, and so if an enemy comes into contact with the spikes they may become poisoned.
Nature: Sette doesn't interact much with her teammates. Her favorite pastimes are eating and swimming around. When she's not relaxing in the water, though, she will attack at the slightest provocation, even if it's just Ocean saying something nasty to Sioc a few meters away. This makes her quite useful when fighting, because she will hit fast and hard with no warning to her opponent. Iarann is very fond of Sette, and sometimes this annoys her because he acts so weird when he's not around anybody. (Quirky: average stats.)
Moveset: Revenge, Water Pulse, Brine, Flail

Pokemon: Dewgong
Nickname: Friede
Gender: Female
Ability: Thick Fat - Friede's body is protected by a layer of blubber, insulating her and raising her resistance to Fire and Ice moves.
Nature: Outside of battle, Friede is very calm and friendly. She's quite considerate and will do anything to make sure her teammates are happy. But once an opponent gets sent out of a Poke Ball, she does not hold back and will pummel her opponent with everything she has, be it a deadly cold breath of ice or a melodious but life-threatening song. This gives her a reputation among the group for being quite cruel, although she doesn't pay much attention to this when anyone mentions it. Sette spreads rumors to her teammates about Friede, saying that the Dewgong has a serious case of split personality. (Rash: +Sp. Attack, -Sp. Defense)
Moveset: Sheer Cold, Dive, Icy Wind, Perish Song

Pokemon: Seaking
Nickname: Placid
Gender: Male
Ability: Water Veil - Placid has unusually moist skin and so is protected from the aftermath of fire attacks (burns).
Nature: Placid is very relaxed and protective of his friends. He's quite fond of his own elegance but doesn't bother anyone about it verbally. He loves it when Iarann shows him off for his grace, although he's careful not to make his teammates feel hurt because he basks in the attention. In a fight, though, Placid prefers to use hard-hitting physical attacks to display his strength to his enemies as a way of saying, "Don't mess with me or my teammates, or you will get hurt." (Hardy: average stats.)
Moveset: Water Pulse, Skull Bash, Horn Drill, Aqua Ring

Re: Satellites (Catch Me If I Fall) OOC/SU

Defender:
Username: Darksong
Name: Kyra Tsubasa
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Hometown: Cinnabar Island

Legendary: Entei
Powers: Kyra is very powerful and can give herself superhuman strength if she wills it. This power can allow her to pick up or move large objects or physically attack someone with a lot of power. But with the power being so abnormal, it tires her out a lot. She can also cause her body to radiate an amount of heat which, when felt at its strongest, could be compared to that of sitting next to a campfire. The heat doesn't go very far from her body, though, and the amount of time this output of heat can be maintained depends on the intensity that Kyra decides to give it; if she wants to cause herself to give off a large amount to heat, she can only maintain it for a few seconds at most, but if she only wants to give off a very small amount and make her surroundings slightly warmer, she can maintain it for nearly twenty minutes.
Side: Good. I'd love to be evil at some point, but I'll do it with an RP with a more simple plot because I haven't been evil before.
Appearance: Kyra is tall and athletic, and is very enthusiastic when it comes to moving around, especially in running. At sixteen years of age she stands at 5 feet 8 inches (172.2 centimeters because I like metric :P) and weighs somewhere around 110-115 pounds. She has a slim build despite having some muscle on her arms and legs. She also has a lot of endurance, since one thing that someone on Cinnabar Island can do a lot of is hiking around the volcano, and that is often her pastime. Kyra's face looks a lot like a child's for her age, though, and she has bright hazel eyes. Her hair is long and reddish, and flares out a little at the bottom. Her hands also seem to still need to catch up with the rest of her body when it comes to maturity, and are very small.

Generally Kyra wears very warm-colored clothes that go with her hometown and the rest of her appearance. She doesn't get cold easily, but also doesn't appear to mind the heat, so she usually doesn't wear anything too long or thick. Sometimes she wears black, but otherwise she tends to lean toward colors such as red and yellow, and would probably never wear a lot of blue or white, even if someone was trying to force her to. She also often skimps on shoes unless she's hiking or doing something that requires them. Her favorite outfit is a black undershirt with a red, light sort of jacket over it, and dull, somewhat orange shorts. Sometimes she'll wear a skirt, but she tends not to like them very much.

Personality: Despite her fiery look, Kyra actually has a very calm personality. She is able to keep a level head in seemingly all situations, and thinks everything through before she does something. She is also very wise and intelligent, and would be a good friend to go to if one was having problems of any sort. Kyra is very friendly and loves helping others out; if anything, helping someone with their worries is one of her favorite things to do. Despite her friendliness, she prefers to be independent and likes doing things on her own. She doesn't easily get annoyed if someone wants to help with something, but she usually prefers going solo. She is very understanding toward other people and doesn't judge based on appearances or jump to conclusions. She also has good social skills and is usually polite.

Kyra loves Pokémon battling; it's one of her favorite things to do, especially if she doesn't have a few hours. Though she prefers battles where she can use all of the Pokémon in her party, she enjoys one-on-one battles as well. It seems that only in Pokémon battles does she get fiery; she's calm in nearly all other situations, but battles can make her worked up and sometimes overly enthusiastic. She still thinks about the orders she gives to her Pokémon, but she doesn't do it as noticeably, and the eagerness with which she shouts her commands can offset her otherwise calm appearance. When the battle gets tough, though, she can sometimes be very quickly discouraged. Despite this, inside, she hates giving up, and unless she has a reason not to, always sees things out to the end (even beyond Pokémon battles). She also seems to have a maternal nature toward her Pokémon, and her priority is taking care of them and reassuring their well-being.

At the same time, Kyra can be a big daydreamer, and it's not uncommon for her to totally let her mind go and miss what someone else is saying if he or she is trying to talk to her. This can make her appear rude to other people sometimes, because she continues to do it even if someone tells her to stop. It's sort of a habit for her, in a sense. She can also be openly rude to people if she really doesn't like them, but she usually doesn't dislike others, so her polite side shines through most often. Kyra can also be blunt and direct sometimes, both in speaking and her actions, to the point of upsetting or annoying others. She speaks her mind when she wants to, even if it's not what everyone else thinks, and if she could get in trouble for it. She has a very strong and adamant spirit.

History: Kyra was born in Unova, in Opelucid City. She got rather used to life there, in the bustling city with lots of people, and never really saw the outside. Her mother was quite an experienced Pokémon trainer, and her father was a well-known scientist who took a boat to get to the lab near Black City and White Forest every day. Ever since Kyra was young, her mother would show her the many Pokémon that she had caught, which made Kyra very interested in Pokémon training. Despite the fact that her father was a scientist, she never really got interested in Pokémon biology as he did; rather, she was very interested in their health and how they healed so quickly in Pokémon Centers. As Kyra grew up in Opelucid City, she would sometimes go to the Battle House at the northern edge of town to watch her mother battle, and sometimes if she was lucky she would come across the leader of the Gym there. She waited very eagerly until the day she turned ten and could become a Trainer.

However, when she did turn ten, it was too far to Nuvema Town from where she lived, so she had an unofficial start until she could eventually get there. On her tenth birthday, Kyra's mother took her out to the route west of Opelucid City to catch a Pokémon. The first Pokémon they found was a Pawniard, which Kyra's mother caught while the child watched with interest. From then on, the Pawniard was hers, and Kyra and her mother both worked to come up with the name "Ichimaru." Kyra would take Ichimaru wherever she went, and the two became close friends fast. At first, Ichimaru would rebel every now and then, but with the help of her mother, Kyra taught him that she was the one in charge, and quickly the Pokémon learned his place. The lessons were firm, but not mean, and though he was below Kyra, Ichimaru grew to respect her as his Trainer, even though she wasn't very experienced yet. It also just so happened that Ichimaru was a relatively young Pawniard, and started off at a low enough level so that Kyra could learn to control him.

A little after her tenth birthday, however, Kyra's father got a new job, and her family had to move far away to the Kanto region. A few days before they had left, Kyra had caught a Minccino, but the two were not so fast friends as the Trainer and Ichimaru, so Mincinno mostly stayed inside her Poké Ball for the trip. It was a long trip, but luckily since Ichimaru was small, he kept her company on the plane, and after many hours, they finally arrived in Kanto with few complications. The plane landed in Saffron City, but from there, Kyra and her parents traveled to Fuchsia, and took a boat to Cinnabar Island, where her father had his job at the lab. Now that he was there, Kyra's father would be spending more time on Pokémon genetics and working on reviving fossils. But Kyra was still a beginner, so he didn't give her a fossil Pokémon yet, since they were hard to handle.

From there, Kyra could really begin training her Pokémon. But since she wasn't on an official Pokémon journey, Kyra mostly caught Pokémon that could be found around Cinnabar, with the exception of a trade or two, and really only battled with the other trainers on Cinnabar Island. As a result, she got to know a lot of Trainers there, and over the years, she learned a lot from Blaine, the gym leader. But now that she was in such a remote place, Kyra also got outside a lot more, and was very interested in exploring the volcano with her Pokémon. She grew fit by frequently hiking on the volcano, swimming and running with Ichimaru and her other Pokémon. As she began to go outside more, she found that Kagami, her Minccino, was very interested in the outside surroundings, and through exploring outside, Kyra and Kagami slowly became friends. Once during their hike, Kyra found a Shiny Stone on the mountainside, which evolved Kagami into Cinccino. Kagami became a much more confident battler, but also grew even more energetic and hard to manage.

Kyra got Rie in a very impractical way. One of her friends whom she had known ever since she moved to Cinnabar was fishing one day shortly after Kagami evolved, and Kyra decided to come along and see some Water Pokémon. When her friend was fishing, there was a large series of splashing in the water, and Kyra was very curious about it. Thinking it was a powerful Pokémon, Kyra threw a Great Ball, only to discover that what she had caught was a Magikarp. Kyra was frustrated until her friend offered to help her evolve the Magikarp into a Gyarados. Her friend warned her that Gyarados would be hard to manage, and the evolution would take a while, but Kyra was excited to find out what "Gyarados" was, exactly -- she had never seen one, even with all the Trainers she had battled -- and was so eager that she did most of it herself. When her Magikarp finally became a Gyarados, even Kyra's father was impressed, and in recognition of her skills, he gave her a Kabuto that he had recently revived. From there Kyra raised it into a very powerful Kabutops.

Kyra discovered her powers one night while she was on Cinnabar's volcano. The hike was particularly long, and though it was a while into winter, Kyra was very tempted to camp out on the volcano; she had never done so before, and she was so eager that she ignored that it would be cold. When night fell, temperatures dropped especially low, making Kyra uncomfortable. But none of her Pokémon could provide warmth: Rie and Clawhammer were Water-types, which didn't help; Ichimaru was a Steel-type, and if anything would only make her colder; and Kagami was fluffy and warm but less than two feet and wouldn't do much. It was very cold, so cold that even Kyra, who didn't get cold easily, could feel it very deeply. But she found that slowly she would warm up if she just stayed still and calmed her mind, and though she didn't really know what it was, it helped her survive through the night without any problems, if she went between calming her mind and sleeping. After that night, Kyra was very interested in what she had done, but she walked down the mountainside with almost no problem. Almost. This is when she discovered her strength. It was simple.

Again, Kyra had been daydreaming. And walking down a mountain while daydreaming instead of watching where you are going is never a good idea. It was just a trip. A random rock in the middle of the trail was almost the entire cause. Kyra had accidentally lost her footing when she was walking on
a rocky path and slipped, and offset some rocks that had been loosely held on the mountainside. Erosion followed, and on the dirt slope, Kyra fell, sliding down until she was stuck at the bottom. The trip had been painful; a few feet below the soil hardened into rocks, and Kyra had to bounce over those. But the big part was getting stuck at the bottom, and finding herself under a boulder. She could have sent out Ichimaru to move it for her, but she couldn't reach her belt to get her Poké Balls. Of course, in times of desperation, people sometimes get crazy, and Kyra just decided to try to move it herself from on top of her. It wasn't really on top of her; she was just stuck under it in a depression in the ground. But either way, she pushed upward, and she was so surprised that she nearly let the boulder fall on top of her. It had actually moved. Thankfully she was able to get out, but she was so tired by the time she was out that she had to make Ichimaru carry her down the mountainside (which really wasn't that far), and she just rested for the remainder of the day.

Oh, the dangers of camping alone...

Kyra's next goal is to get a Ground-type Pokémon so her team isn't so vulnerable to Electric attacks.

Extra: I have Black version, so Opelucid City is all futuristic for me; it's hard to say my character was born there when it's different between the two counterparts.

Pokemon:

Pokemon: Bisharp
Nickname: Ichimaru
Gender: Male
Ability: Defiant - raises Attack by two stages if any stat is lowered.
Nature: Ichimaru was Kyra's first Pokémon, hence his name. Because of this, he also has a superior complex and will only ever bow to his Trainer. He has almost no sense of self and doesn't care what others say about him, but he hates it when people are rude to Kyra, and has such a short temper, sometimes he attacks without warning. Because of his tendency to strike slyly and without warning, Night Slash is his favorite move. Despite his paper-thin temper, he is normally very calm. But he shares his Trainer's trait of being blunt, and he is also unafraid of the consequences of his actions.
Moveset: Swords Dance, Night Slash, Iron Head, Psycho Cut

Pokemon: Gyarados
Nickname: Rie
Gender: Female
Ability: Intimidate - lowers the opponent's Attack stat upon entering battle.
Nature: Unlike Kyra's Bisharp, Rie can be very rebellious and often acts on her own. She follows orders, but only if her Trainer asks nicely. Rie is very energetic and likes to get her energy out by going all-out in battle, and her favorite thing to do is to carry Kyra on her back because it emphasizes how large she is compared to her Trainer. Rie dislikes being put down, and doesn't really take small Pokémon seriously. The only one who makes her nervous is Ichimaru, since he appears to be the only one she can't intimidate.
Moveset: Aqua Tail, Dragon Dance, Ice Fang, Thrash

Pokemon: Cinccino
Nickname: Kagami
Gender: Female
Ability: Technician - strengthens moves that normally have low power to deal 1.5 times the damage.
Nature: Kagami is very energetic but also very friendly. She loves being around Kyra and also likes being outside a lot. She needs to run around and doesn't do well with sitting for long periods of time. She's highly curious and always interested in what Kyra is doing, but she can also be annoying in this way. But Kagami is also a very powerful fighter. She is rather timid, but in battle she is very fierce, and her speed lets her strike with startling accuracy.
Moveset: Slam, Captivate, Iron Tail, Tickle

Pokemon: Kabutops
Nickname: Clawhammer
Gender: Male
Ability: Battle Armor - Critical hits cannot be inflicted on this Pokémon.
Nature: Clawhammer is extremely aggressive and immediately suspicious of anyone new. He is very protective of Kyra (though not to the extent of Ichimaru), but he is also aloof and sometimes just likes slacking off. Despite his energy in battle, he can be quite lazy sometimes, and his favorite thing to do is lie on the beach and bask in the sun. He doesn't let others' words get to him very much, and also has good defense stats, so he is overall very stable, emotionally and physically. That lets him help Kyra on the rare occasion that she's upset or disturbed by something. But Clawhammer can be overconfident sometimes, and occasionally jumps into a situation way over his head. And he's not good at getting out of those.
Moveset: Slash, Aqua Jet, Mud Shot, Night Slash

Dialga or Palkia...tossing a coin. Heads. Palkia.

Username: Coroxn
Name: Adam Breach
Gender: Male
Age: Sixteen
Hometown: Jublife City!

Legendary: Palkia
Powers: Can teleport himself short distances. Can open portals between two spots, within a hundred meters of each other. All that goes through one goes through the other. Can create Orbs Of Compression, small projectiles with the same base attack as Water Gun.

Side: Good

Appearance: Adam is of average height for his age, with thick, mousy black hair and green eyes. He does not often catch people's attention, as he is rather unremarkable in most respects. He is a little on the chubby side. His clothes are usually silver, as this is his favorite color.

He is not fit at all, and rather scrawny. His face is freckled, his face, as I said before, plain. He has no scars or anything of note. His hair is unruly, and does not appreciate anyone's attempts to tame it with a comb or brush.

Personality: Very creative, much preferring to think outside the box. Is intelligent and quick-thinking, but despises authority. He likes to think of himself as good and kind, though he knows he can be arrogant and hostile. He does not like being mocked, and takes offense very easily.

He always wanted to be a hero like in the stories, and so is overjoyed at his newfound abilities. Though he is not very confident, his powers are helping him see his own self worth, which he thoroughly enjoys.

History: Adam started off as a trainer, with a Construction Worker as a father and a Nurse for a mother. However, he couldn't hack it, and gave up after catching two Pokémon. He liked reading and writing, and hoped to become a Producer at the local radio station.

He discovered his powers whilst walking to school in the rain, wishing he were there. He was profoundly excited at the thought of being a super hero, but Jublife was almost completely without crime, so instead he used his powers for his own convenience and happiness. Everything from skipping short walks to evading bullies was in his grasp.

Re: Satellites (Catch Me If I Fall) OOC/SU

Username: Exo-Raikou
Name: Tyson Lenahan
Gender: Male
Age: 39
Hometown: Lacunosa Town, Unova

Legendary: Kyurem
Powers: Complete immunity to cold of any kind, and freeze the moisture in the air (within a certain range), and control the resulting ice
Side: Neutral/Evil

Appearance:
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 185 lbs

Description: Generally wears a dark jacket with intricate patterns on the sides and back with dark pants. Has somewhat long brown hair that is starting to gain gray in the ends - this is due to Kyurem's influence - and is well-built. He wears a ring on his right index finger that contains some kind of translucent light blue gem, and also has a tattoo on his right arm (just by the shoulder) of some kind of ancient draconic creature. His stomach is scarred in several places, as are his arms and legs.

Personality: Tyson is (albeit self-admittedly) something of an enigma. Some who have met him say that he exhibits tendencies of having a Darwinist outlook on life - he prefers that he deal with an enemy that's strong and gives him a good battle. Usually. If he feels that an enemy is too strong for his own liking, then he'll resort to a more underhanded means of beating them. Furthermore, he claims that all he wants is to fight honorable and noble battles - but again, every now and then he'll "accidentally" take a battle too far and do something that's less than noble. That being said, outside of the battle, he's an equally strange fellow - he tends to enjoy classical music and physically condition himself as well as his pokemon. This often leads to him sparring with the pokemon, with results that vary depending on who he's sparring with. He also enjoys telling people of stories of his life - though how true those stories are, again, is something of an enigma.

History: Tyson was born in Lacunosa, and spent the better part of his life in the city, and his earliest life - his life before receiving his first pokemon - is probably the part of his life he'll discuss the least. Because, in his eyes, there wasn't really anything about his life. Though he was wrong about that: there was something of his young life that was significant. Something in his childhood that he did ended up having a big impact later down the road. What was that simple childhood event? Well, it started with Tyson's rebellious streak. He had a great disdain for the old Lacunosan tradition of staying indoors at the latest of hours. He wanted to see the world at night; he wanted to see how the world was when it all went dark.

As it turned out, not the best idea, since there were two bigger results of this simple desire. The first was that this escapade caught the attention of Kyurem, who still watched the nyctophobic town. Never before had the dragon actually seen someone break the old law of the town - Kyurem would remember this incident for some time. The second was that while he was on this night out, Tyson saw a predatory battle between two pokemon, which ended brutally with the weaker pokemon being killed by the stronger. It was a simple, natural incident, but it was enough to make the big impact on Tyson's life - it showed him that the weak in life are meant to die, and the strong ones are the winners. It would be a lesson that he would take to even today. Aside from that, very little happened until Tyson was sixteen years old: in that year, Tyson set out on his pokemon journey, with an interesting twist: he did not start his journey with a pokemon. Instead, he found a wild pokemon (an Emolga, in this case) and fought it by hand to catch it. It worked, but Tyson found the battle to be too dangerous, and decided not to try anything that... suicidal again, at least not until he was more ready for the larger world.

Instead, to find himself a more "Darwinist" type of fight, Tyson deliberately pitted his Emolga against enemies that pushed the creature to its breaking point. Eventually, after an arduous battle with a Duosion, the Emolga could take no more, and Tyson, disappointed with what he saw as a weak pokemon, released it and added the Duosion as its replacement. By then, however, Tyson already had three badges. Perhaps the trainer with a Darwinist streak had potential. Tyson continued his journey, and that system, and in the process, gained only two pokemon that he uses now: the Jellicent, and what would eventually become his Klinklang. All the others were ones that he gained and released for being too weak. And yet, it was through this system that he actually got eight badges. At that point, he could have gone to the pokemon league, but he opted not to under the reasoning of being too weak. Rather, he traveled on the Jellicent to the next region over, and...

What followed would be a series of adventures that may or may not have been true, depending on who you ask. What is agreed on by those that have spoken to is only a small amount of stories: he was out of Unova for upwards of ten years, he encountered several pokemon that were normally native to the region while outside of it, and caught them... somehow. Other than that, nobody can come to a consensus on whether or not the stories Tyson has told of his life travels are true. He's claimed that the Volcarona that he caught was caught with his bare hands. He's said that he once encountered an old tribe on an island somewhere between Hoenn and Sinnoh and barely escaped with his life. He's told a wild variety of stories, and even the people that know him well following his return to Unova can't agree on the validity of the life stories of his. And there are quite a few people like that, given that upon his return to Unova, he proceeded to start traveling the region doing one of three things: attending classical music concerts, publicly doing battle with his pokemon, and giving lectures on battle skills at various schools region-wide, telling the crazy life stories all while doing so. This in itself earned him quite a but of notoriety in the country; he became quite a famous trainer, despite being concerned by several members of the general public to be... crazy.

Though despite all of his fame, he didn't return to Lacunosa for a long while. Not until only recently: when he returned, he was hailed by the village as being a hero, after all, he traveled further than anyone born in the town had been born in. The night of his return, he went back to the place that might have very well started it all for him: the Giant Chasm. It was here again that Kyurem saw him, and this time, with his great team behind him, the great dragon made his move. He implanted a part of his soul into Tyson, and in that moment, Tyson understood everything about the world. The Conflict of the nameless one, the origins of all the legends. Everything. He saw all this, and decided that the Nameless One, the stronger one, would be the winner of this eternal battle. And in his mind, he aligned himself with this Nameless One; he aligned himself with who he believed would win. And Kyurem, the absence of yin and yang, a being with no concept of good or evil, agreed with what Tyson did and bestowed his power of freezing onto Tyson. With that, Tyson was now ready and waiting. In time, the opportunity to fight forth Nameless One would come. And when it did, Tyson Lenahan would be ready for him

Nature: Pure, cold, and simple logic. Always does the most logical thing to do in any scenario, sometimes this puts it at odds with Tyson.
Moveset: Gear Shift, Gear Grind, Volt Switch, Protect

Pokemon: Volcarona
Nickname: Arthron
Gender: Female
Ability: Flame Body (Can burn opponent if they make physical contact)
Nature: Probably the most "well-rounded" of Tyson's team when it comes to one's personality. Ready and willing to fight, but not the outright savagery of Struve - thinks sensibly, though not in complete logic. This in itself is something of a drawback, as it can result in repeated prolonged arguments with other members of Tyson's group.
Moveset: Quiver Dance, Fiery Dance, Bug Buzz, Toxic

Pokemon: Jellicent
Nickname: Hyon
Gender: Male
Ability: Cursed Body (moves that hit it could be disabled)
Nature: For the most part, docile - doesn't really do much of an attack unless ordered to. If he's sufficiently motivated (read: angered), however, his attacks become actually dangerous and focused
Moveset: Hydro Pump, Shadow Ball, Ice Beam, Double Team

Re: Satellites (Catch Me If I Fall) OOC/SU

Defender:
Username: MewMew:)
Name: Moka Rosario
Gender: Female
Age: 23
Hometown: Nimbasa city

Legendary: Giratina
Powers: Use of ShadowForce, flying using wings like Giratina but smaller able to hide within body
Side: Arceus

Appearance: About 5' 7" and weights about 125 lbs. She has long pink hair (Dyed) and light blue eyes. She has an 'hourglass' figure and wears a Japanese style schoolgirl outfit with black 2 in high heels. She also wears a Rosario (like a cross necklace but more embroidered) and has golden ring bracelets around her hands.

Personality: Moka is very shy but is also considered weird. She is very interested in vampires and keeps a diary with her at all times. She doesn't talk very much until she gets to know the person or if it is necessary.

History: Moka was raised in Nimbasa and had a loving family. She grew up along side her best friend, Ruby and they both loved pokemon. She would go into the woods with Ruby to watch pokemon, it was fun to catch the bugs in their hands and then let them go. But then one day it all changed, they ran into an enraged Ursarang. They ran away but Ruby didn't exit the forest with Moka, and she was never seen again.

It was since that day that Moka became very quite, only solemnly speaking, and only to people she knew very well. She tended to stay away from most people and was always writing in her journal, about everything she saw. When she turned 14 her parents let her go out to adventure, and she started her journey then. The first pokemon she got was a bunneary that she rescued from the woods, she named her Ruby.

She traveled all around Unova to collect the badges and did well, she had 5 when she met her legendary guardian. At least that was what Giratina said that it was. It was late one night, she was 23 now, by a little lake near Nimbasa, she was going to visit her parents again when the lake started to ripple. Giratina emerged from the lake and said it had been watching Moka for a long time now. It said it was here to giver her some abilities that would help against an unforeseen evil, though reluctant Moka accepted. The powers entered her body and made her pass out and when she awoke she had wings, it was weird at first but after a little she got used to it. It was fun to fly and she was able to retract her wings so she looked normal. So she headed home and told her parents about her fun adventures, leaving out the legendary part.

Re: Satellites (Catch Me If I Fall) OOC/SU

Finally finished my form. took me quite a bit.

Username: RespectTheBlade
Name: Alec Mason
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Hometown: Snowpoint City

Legendary: Dialga
Powers: Alec has the ability to temporarily freeze time. He can still move at normal speed, but everything else is paused. He can pause it for a maximum of 7 minutes from his point of view. Alec also has the ability to jump forward or backward in time a maximum of 24 minutes.
Side: Good

Appearance: Alec is tall for his age, about 6’3”. He has green eyes and his hair is a silver color. Alec weighs an average 165 pounds. His hair tends to be disheveled, and he doesn’t like to style it in any particular way. Alec isn’t particularly athletic, more average on all accounts. He does enjoy, and is quite good at, rock climbing, but it’s really the only thing he excels at. Above all, he hates running.

Alec tends to wear a black and red hoodie over whatever he wears, somewhat due to growing up in a cold environment. His hoodie is mainly black with the design of a black and red pokeball on the front. It is very important to him, and holds a whole lot of memories of him growing up. Alec tends to wear boots and comfortable, cold-proof pants due to the environment of the surrounding areas. He enjoys to wear jeans and sneakers when he’s inside or vacationing somewhere warmer. Alec also carries an Ipod wherever he goes, and often has an ear bud in one ear.

Personality:
Alec is quite shy when around others, especially those he doesn’t know. It takes him a while to make a really good friend. However, he shows an entirely different side of himself around his friends. He loves to joke around and make others laugh. When set to a task, Alec will stop at nothing to complete it. He enjoys working and figuring out problems in his own time, rather than being helped by others. He is actually a decently intelligent person, and can come up with solutions to problems quite fast.

Alec does have a few strange points about him, though. His mood changes very quickly, and he can easily go from being extremely talkative and happy to being very self-absorbed after hearing a few words of a conversation. He takes pride in himself and is very reckless and headstrong. Because if this, he doesn’t plan thing out very well and tends to get into bad situations quite often. His ability to come up with quick solutions helps him get out of them.

History: Alec was born in Eterna City, but his parents moved to Snowpoint when he was just 6 weeks old, so he grew up there. Alec made a few friends growing up, but he really didn’t feel connected with any of them, and he wanted to leave Snowpoint as soon as possible. He begged his parents to let him go on an adventure, but they weren’t keen about letting their only son into the world virtually alone. They agreed to get him a Pokémon as a pet, but he was forbidden to travel. A few weeks later, Alec received his first Pokémon, a locally caught Sneasel he later named Cleopatra. Happy as he was with his new pokemon, Alec disliked not being able to travel. He passed the time by beginning to start rock climbing. He practiced by scaling local cliffs around Snowpoint.

Soon, all his friends were gone, and only him and his pokemon remained in the town. One night, when he was 14, Alec had had enough. He took his money, everything important to him, and set out in the middle of the night. He began to trek towards the Mount Coronet exit, hoping to finally leave the cold hell of a monotonus life. However, as he neared the mountain, he reached a fork in the path, two options for him to take. One was a winding trail around the mountains. It would have taken him possibly until daybreak to reach the exit in the mountain. His other option was to scale the cliff and get to the exit, which would allow him to leave in a few hours.

Guess which path he chose.

As he began climbing, he returned his Pokemon to its ball and tied it to his belt. He began climbing. As he neared the top, Alec slipped and fell. He hit several rocks on the way down, and finally hit the ground. His limbs were severely hurt, he was bleeding, and he couldn't move. His pokeball had fallen off his belt somwhere up the mountain, so he couldn't call for help. He lay on the ground dying, and tried to figure out a way to get out of this mess. Alec, unsure of what to do, began regretting his choice, and wishing he'd chosen the right path. He kept thinking this one thought over and over, until... he was back at the foot of the mountain, at the fork in the road. Unsure of what had happened, and severely scared, Alec hiked back home, vowing not to try and leave until he was able to do so safely.

Over the course of the year, Alec recieved, and trained, a few pokemon from his parents. He had a team of five powerful pokemon, all of them trained by months of rigourous grinding on Routes 216 and 217. He even managed to beat Candice, the gym leader in his town. He thought he was ready to finally leave for his adventure. However, he had no idea as to how he had recieved his powers. The second incedent occured shortly after he turned 15 and was training his Gallade, Leonidas. As the two were training by destroying every wld pokemon in sight, a stray Psycho Cut hit a cliff and caused an avalanche. As the wall of snow rushed towards Leonidas and Alec, Alec panicked and wished more than anything that there was someway to stop it. Miraculosuly, it did. The entire wall of snow, everything, just stopped. Alec called back his Gallade and ran straight back home. Everything around him was completely silent, for what felt like a few minutes. Then, a giant crash was heard as the avalanche continued and buried the area in snow and rock.

At about 15 and a half, Alec attempted to try and control these strange things that had happened. After a while, he found he could stop and travel through time, but the range was very limited. Alec wondered exaclty how he had been blessed with these powers, but had no idea where he could have recieved them. The answer came to him a few days later.

Alec hiked back out to where he had nearly died about 2 years back. He entered the cave (by taking the safe path) and saw a set of stairs leading into a deeper area. Inside the bottom cave that he had entered, he saw a beautiful cave painting of a strange pokemon, one that looked light blue, covered in metal plating, and had a diamond on its chest. Then, the painting began to glow. He heard, in his head, a strange voice talking to him. The voice explained it was Dialga, and it had gifted him with a small fraction of his power. The voice explained the situation involving Arceus and the Nameless One, and asked Alec if he would fight in the name of Dialga, and, by extension, the creator Arceus himself. Alec quickly agreed, feeling loyal to Dialga on account of the times he had saved his life.

After the experience, Alec returned home. Alec wondered the whole day as to when he would get to fight. The following night, He heard Dialga speak a single sentence to him in a dream. "Your chance will come soon, young human, very soon." The next morning, Alex decided to train his team of 6 further until the right moment came. He is still training them on Routes 216 and 217.

Extra: Unsure if this would matter at all, but Alec has a single Sinnoh League badge, recieved from Candice. Also, the pokemon in alec's roster that are out of region he recieved from his parents. He caught Cleopatra locally, around Snowpoint.

Pokemon:

Pokemon: Weavile
Nickname: Cleopatra
Gender: Female
Ability: Pickpocket. Ceopatra steals her opponent's held item when she's attacked with a contact move.
Nature: Timid. Cleopatra was very shy when Alec first caught her, but the two became friends quick. She is still nervous about meeting new people, but her untrustworthy diposition makes her fierce in a fight. She likes using Assist, as she feels protected around her friends. Cleopatra became a skilled pickpocket after training around Snowpoint. She was unhappy when she had to return her stash of other's stuff.
Moveset: Ice Punch, Assist, Hone Claws, Night Slash

Pokemon: Gallade
Nickname: Leonidas
Gender: Male
Ability: Justified. Whenever Leonidas is hit with a dark-type attack, his attack increases.
Nature: Brave. Leonidas is willing to act as a bodyguard for all of his companions, especially his trainer. He is usually one of the first to take a hit for a friend, and would do anything to protect his friends. He fights with intense vigor whenever he fears the worst for any of his friends. Leonidas's favorite hobby is training, usually on wild pokemon, or trees if the former isn't available. He also enjoys playing cards, but his psychic abilities but him at a bit of an unfair advantage.
Moveset: Psycho Cut, Ice Punch, Leaf Blade, Close Combat

Pokemon: Honchkrow
Nickname: Capone
Gender: Male
Ability: Moxie. Upon defeating an enemy, Capone's attack increases.
Nature: Rash. Capone likes to plan things ahead of time, but to himself. To everyone else, he appears to lash out and be very spontaneous. When fighting, he likes to use an unpredictable style, and favors mirroring his opponent's attacks back at them. He does get in trouble, almost as often as Alec. He's known to dissapear at night, and usually comes pack with a few thousand poke, covered in Murkrow feathers. Nobody knows from where.
Moveset: Mirror Move, Heat Wave, Dark Pulse, Nasty Plot

Pokemon: Milotic
Nickname: Elizabeth
Gender: Female
Ability: Cute Charm. Whenever Elizabeth is attacked with a contact move, there is a 30% chance of the opponent becoming infatuated with her.
Nature: Quiet. Elizabeth tries not to be a bother to Alec. She preffers to stay inside her own mind, thinking. In a fight, she likes to outsmart and outlast her opponents. She did show intrest in reading, but the lack of hands makes it difficult. Alec reads to her when he gets the chance.
Moveset: Dragon Pulse, Surf, Ice Beam, Recover

Pokemon: Mienshao
Nickname: Jet
Gender: Male
Ability: Regenerator. When Jet is called back from battle, he regains 33% of his health.
Nature: Adamant. Jet is all about fighting, and loves competition. He is always trying to outperform Leonidas, but the two get along well. Unlike Leonidas, Jet's main goal is to fight as much as possible, not to protect his mates. When he does fight, he always fights at his strongest, and refuses to back down. He enjoys training with Leonidas when he gets the chance. He also plays cards with him. He usually loses.
Moveset: Hi Jump Kick, Drain Punch, U-Turn, Me First.

Pokemon: Flygon
Nickname: Ghandi
Gender: Male
Ability: Levitate: Ghandi is immune to ground-type moves.
Nature: Lax. Alec recieved Ghandi as a Trapinch, and was surprised it didn't move much. However, Ghandi always seemed to know what to do, and Alec noticed it as Ghandi evolved. Ghandi doesn't really like to fight, but he is absolutely fierce when provoked. His favorite perk of being a Flygon is the levitation. He also enjoys giving nuggets of wisdom to othe pokemon.
Moveset: ThunderPunch, Earthquake, Dragon Tail, Steel Wing.

Re: Satellites (Catch Me If I Fall) OOC/SU

Username: Everglider
Name: Miaes "Mia" Arrows (Mee-ace Ar-ohs)
Gender: Female
Age: Sixteen
Hometown: Canalave City, Sinnoh

Legendary: Lugia
Powers: Miaes can sense coming storms and high tides. She can speak naturally with water Pokemon and is an exceptionally strong swimmer.
Side: Neutral (Isn't quite sure if she wants to get involved)

Appearance: Miaes is fairly short, at 5 foot 4, and not particularly skinny, though she is not overweight. She weighs roughly 130 lbs. Her thick, dark brown hair is almost black and is never quite as straight as she would like it to be, and is always loosely pinned. Miaes has a crescent shaped birthmark on her right calf and pierced ears.

Miaes doesn't give a damn for the latest trends and likes to wear capri-length sweats and off-the-shoulder tops with tanks underneath. She wears flip-flops or sandals unless it is snowing. When it rains, she wears a long blue rain coat with a hood, and when it snows she wears Thick brown boots and a grey snow jacket.

Personality: Miaes is bold, talkative, and sometimes really rude. She tends to let her tongue run away with her (Rattling off every single thing that comes to mind.) She is impulsive and tends to jump in before testing the water, so to speak, which always gets her in trouble.

On the other hand, Miaes can be very shy with strangers and is incredibly uncomfortable with younger kids (anywhere fron 2-5th grade.) Although she doesn't always listen to her peers, she will always do what an adult tells her to. She was not very popular at school, however she does have a close group of friends who are very supportive of her, because she worries a lot.

History: Miaes's father worked as a fisherman on the weekends and boat captain during the week at the Canalave docks. Her mother was a clerk at the Veilstone Department Store, but moved away to the Hoenn region when she was ten. She often went fishing with her father on weekends. When Mia was six, her father was docked at Iron Island and was training his own Pokemon in the mine. Mia stayed outside with her father's trusted Peliper, Pipes. Mia was playing in the sand when she saw something shiny on a rock. She climbed up onto the rock, trying to grab it, but it kept flicking away. Miaes chased it until she was on the other side of the island. When she got there, a huge wave came a swept her out to sea. Miaes found that she could swim. As she was trying to swim back to shore, she was swept up by a huge fin.

Lugia emerged from the sea, carrying Miaes rack to the safety of the shore. When it gave a cry, Mia found that she could understand its words. Lugia explained to her that she was chosen to be its defender, and that she would be granted powers that would reveal themselves in times of need. Over time, she was able to sense storms and know whe the high tides will come. She can communicate with all water Pokemon and has become a vegetarian, because her understanding of water Pokemon helped her understand all of them, and now she refuses to eat meat. Luckily, she likes tofu. Lugia appears in her dreams every week or so to help her hone her skills, and explain the legendaries' problems but she is still unsure as to whether r not she wants to get involved in this dispute.

Miaes started her Pokemon journey when she was twelve with her starter, a male Mudkip named Kip. After earning all her badges and defeating the League, Mia began to fill her Pokedex, often traveling to Hoenn to visit her mother, and to Unova, where one of her grade school friends now lives. Lugia has lately been increasing its urgency, and Miaes thinks that she may soon be ready to choose her side. She knows that she should help Arceus, but she is drawn to the Nameless One and his promises of power.
