As soon as everybody had recovered from the horrible sensation of having time reversed, the arena went to work again. Ampharos cringed as he felt the exact same effect as before, time going back on itself. He waveringly yelled up at the ceiling, “What are the chances?” and then decided it was probably best for him to not open his mouth, lest he started to spurt vomit. God, however, was spinning around in glee. He was the fastest again, and he was going to use this to his full advantage. According to his trainer’s orders, it was time to lie on the physical pain. The Porygon floated forward and rammed himself into RK-9, causing the canine to whimper in pain. On the outside, the attack appeared to be nothing special, but the move actually was unique to all Pokemon, each manipulating it in their own special way. RK-9 wasn’t all about complaining though, as he was now faster than his partner once more. And he was planning to do much more than just tackle his opponent. No, RK-9 came charging forward at God, planning to push him over so that the little computer program would have nowhere to run. However, the poor Growlithe was still suffering from the woes of being swaggered, and in his haste he hit the floor with a thud, damaging his mental and physical state even more. The Growlithe backed off slowly like a dejected puppy.

Smugleaf was too smug to believe that he was going to fail. He was the greatest Pokemon in the entire world and only a fool would doubt him. Of course, his trainer hadn’t exactly accounted for what the arena could do. He was now told to Torment his opponent, stopping her from using an attack that he was doubtful she would use again. Well, there was nothing wrong with actually following his commands. Smugleaf began to yell in a loud and nasal voice about how stupid Narya was and how she could do absolutely nothing in the battle. Disable? She had completely failed when she had tried to use it before. Narya started out by feeling angered, but soon she was just dejected. It was sad because Smugleaf was right, she shouldn’t be using two moves in a row. How stupid was that? Luckily, she wasn’t using a move she had used once before. She started yelling at Smugleaf to get his attention. Finally he looked over, and when he did, Narya’s eyes started to glow red, completely capturing the Snivy’s attention. Once she did, she started sending psychic waves through to him, and in a matter of seconds she had successfully put Smugleaf to sleep. In a matter of seconds he was dreaming about some Chikorita he had had a crush on as a wild Pokemon. Narya was now the smug one, her mission accomplished.

God was also feeling happy, his opponent having failed thanks to his partner. He had to admit, while Smugleaf and RK tried to beat each other, he and Narya were working as a perfect team. And now he could attack freely once more. He charged forward with his own personalized tackle for the second time. As he had defined it himself, he knew it would never miss. He charged forward and hit RK-9 with a smooth clean buffering once more, and the Growlithe now started to really cringe as he moved. The scars of battle were taking their toll. And hopefully he could finally get some revenge. His confusion had completely melted away by that point, so he could think clearly for once. Or at least he hoped he could think clearly. He was supposed to Crunch his opponent, Narya. But what was a Crunch. Wasn’t that some sort of human candy? Maybe a type of furniture? Or was that a couch? RK couldn’t make heads or tails of that command, and no matter how hard he racked his brain he was unable to come up with an answer. A kitchen appliance? A brand of golf club? The middle name of a former president of Eritrea? By the time RK realized he was never going to figure that out, he had completely wasted his turn. He silently cursed his always helpful and attentive trainer.

Smugleaf wasn’t about to anything short of twitching anytime soon, and so it was Narya’s turn to do something. She planned to execute the exact same tactic as she had in the previous action, sending her opponent to the land of dreams. However, she knew it wouldn’t be as easy with a lively dog of all animals. Before she began the tactic she realized that she wasn’t going to be able to use it again. She just wasn’t able to get over the moral blow she had taken from the Snivy’s insults. She realized that this meant she could start singing again, which was a relief. She began to belt out the words of the wonderful pick-me up song that made her opponent’s feel that much worse. If God hadn’t already acted he would’ve joined in, but yet it was the turn of the action. Smugleaf twitched greatly in his sleep, and got that much closer to waking up thanks to the noise. God saw his opponent’s inability to make RK fall asleep and decided that he could make up for it. Not in the same way, but increasing their good position even more. He utilized his special tackle once more, now actually quite bored with the simple-yet-unique strike. The only change up was that he was now targeting a sleeping opponent. That wasn’t always a good thing. He charged forward and hit the Snivy remarkably easily. Smugleaf twitched slightly in his sleep, but besides that he remained deeply in slumber. God had been nervous for a second, hoping he hadn’t woken the snake up. But the crisis was averted, and he returned to his position feeling relatively happy.

RK-9 was now horribly frustrated, not able to understand what his trainer meant by using “Crunch”. He figured that it was a move, but one he had probably never learnt, and probably never would. Completely fed up with his inability to do anything productive, RK-9 ran forward with absolutely no dignity at Narya. He tripped over his own feet a few times, hurting him significantly, but when he reached Narya he hurt her much more. The Vulpix screamed, not expecting the odd tackle from this opponent. RK-9 was injured himself as well, and he wasn’t sure why he had done that. He backed away kind of embarrassed, but happy he had accomplished something this round. Smugleaf was not accomplishing anything at the moment himself, and so Narya was given the opportunity to strike once more. This time she was determined to put this dog to sleep, and she was going to use any strategy possible. A dog was not the easiest animal to put to sleep. She began to absolutely scream at the dog, scaring him and making sure he stared at her completely. From there she had the perfect opportunity to lock his gaze, and soon the glaze of redness had put him in a perfect trance. She sent some psychic waves his way, and with absolutely no resistance he fell down onto the floor just like his partner. As time returned to normal (thankfully) the two Pokemon belonging to sreservoir felt greatly joyful.

I don't think what they do actually matters that much to us as long as a) we have enough energy, b) god doesn't take too much damage -- we'll take out that growlithe first and we have type advantage against the snivy. still, we basically want to inflict capped damage on the snivy this round, too.

try to finish the growlithe on the first action -- heat wave followed by double-edge should do it, and fry the snivy in the bargain.

even if it doesn't, it's not a huge deal, because another heat wave should do the trick; if it's fainted, flamethrower at snivy instead -- the better efficiency and accuracy helps. if both heat waves manage to miss the growlithe or any heat wave missed snivy, god can swift; if all heat waves hit all targets, or if trick room happened this round, thunder wave the snivy -- we don't really care any more what order it moves in, and its already take enough, possibly even capped damage; just keep it from screwing up next round.

final action, if both heat waves missed both targets, narya flare blitz it -- probably overkill, but we want it to be below 35% next round, preferably below 30% in case of protect; otherwise, confuse ray. as for god, if trick room happened, do the conditional intended for previous round.

in case of rain or water sport, we'll not use fire and do something different entirely: round, round, round, round, and then the prescribed status moves.

god: double-edge @ rk-9 / round ~ swift / thunder wave / round ~ swift / thunder wave / round

Thank the gods of Pokemon, the time in the area stayed normal. The referee made a silent pledge to never, ever drain a Dialga on a Pokemon game ever again. Instead, a creepy blue haze began to descend over the arena, making the Pokemon shiver, at least the conscious ones. The haze had some sort of supernatural properties, as Narya and God felt their extra attack power seem to drift away. Narya wasn’t too worried though; she wasn’t going to be using any physical attacks anytime soon. Narya focused on all of the fire-type energy inside of her, and then in one fell swoop she unleashed the full power from inside of her. A giant storm of flames erupted from her body, swinging towards RTK and Smugleaf. God was very lucky that he was out of the blast range. The burst of flames quickly hit the Pokemon opposite of sreservoir’s team. While RK didn’t seem to mind the blast much in his sleep, Smugleaf visibly began to flinch in pain. However, both the Snivy and the Growlithe still did not exit the world of slumber. This opened the door for God, who began to glow a powerful white, symbolizing normal-type energy. He propelled himself forward at an impressive speed and crashed spectacularly into RK-9, causing him to whimper in his sleep. Both Narya and God could tell that the Growlithe was suffering, but still technically in the battle.

Narya was once again ready to attack, as her opponents were doing next to nothing at the moment. She called upon the spirits of fire within herself once more and prepared herself to release a mighty blast again. With a bit of a screech she released another barrage of flames from her body that went straight towards RK and Smugleaf again, cutting right through the haze. Smugleaf once again was quite pained by the attack, but he was lucky enough to avoid a burn. But for his partner, this was the last straw. The flames would normally not have affected RK that severely, but he was so close to unconscious that he now simply couldn’t take it anymore. Everybody spared a glance at the referee, and the pink-furred creature waved a flag, signalling that RK had fainted. The other RK reached for a Pokeball and then promptly recalled the Growlithe. As soon as this happened Smugleaf sprang up, ready for some action. He now saw that he was alone on the battlefield, and that worried him. And he was sore. This was not good. But, he should at least try and help his trainer. Smugleaf began to rush forward at the Porygon that was opposing him, his arm glowing green and lengthening as he ran. Soon it was as long as the blade of a scimitar, and the ambitious Snivy sliced his new blade across the mid-section of his polygonal opponent. God recoiled slightly and let out an electronic hiss, showing his displeasure.

Now that his opponent was awake, God was ready to resume his battle with the Snivy. But he had already done the calculations in his head, and he was well aware that Smugleaf had taken all the damage that the ref would allow in that round. Thus, he was going to make the life of the Snivy even more miserable. Using his database he generated an electric current not meant to inflict damage, but to mess with the muscular system of one’s opponent. God released this small technological blast at Smugleaf, which took the form of a skinny electric blue current that swerved its way through the air like a knuckleball. Smugleaf tried to dodge it, but the attack was spot on, and soon the Snivy had a malevolent electric current running through his body. His movement was greatly impaired, and he knew that if he pushed himself too hard he was going to end up completely paralyzed. Wonderful. Narya then decided what better to do than generate her own little status problem for the Snivy to deal with? Using more dark magic the Vulpix created a ring of magical flashing motes that began to circle her head. She made sure as to not look at them, then sent them flying on their way towards the Snivy. Smugleaf made an attempt to ignore the magical orbs that now surrounded him, but it was almost impossible. Soon he was completely mesmerized.

Normally God wouldn’t have been able to get off an attack before Smugleaf, the little snake being much fleeter of foot, as ironic as that sounds. However, the Snivy’s muscles were now hopelessly entangled in that Thunder Wave he had sent their way, and so the opportunity presented itself. However, God wasn’t exactly sure what to do. His trainer hadn’t given him any commands except for, “if trick room happened, do the conditional intended for previous round.” Well, Trick Room had not happened, thank Arceus, and so God had no other option than to do nothing. He was saving energy at least, and any of his commands would’ve been futile anyway. Snivy on the other hand, was completely preoccupied. These orbs were f***ing amazing. They were the spawn of everything awesome ever. The rainbows had so much meaning that even the most learned scientist or psychologist would not be able to understand. Jesus Christ. But no, he had a job to do. He quickly snapped out of it, dragging his pupils away from the magical motes. He started to work as fast as he could, ripping off clumps of leaves from his tail and throwing them into the air where they began to swirl around him, forming a perfect windstorm. Son he felt the grassy hell cloud was fully stocked, and he sent the vicious hurricane towards God and Narya. God was much more affected by the vicious storm than Narya was, but the Vulpix still felt agitated by the blast. Soon Smugleaf let the leaves fall to the ground, and he returned to his orb gazing.

well, that was a waste of an action! ... not really, though, since porygon really can't do much more.

waste a bunch of energy with the most stupidly high-power STAB attacks you can to attempt to take snivy down in one action, just because you can. if it protects (but why would it? it's basically futile unless it can keep it up for three actions), just waste some time, and if it rains, or if trick room happens and it uses substitute, kill it with horrible singing.

sreservoir grinned as they realized that this was probably the last round of the match, a match that was definitely going in their favour. RK-10 on the other hand was much more dejected, realizing that this was probably the end for him and his Snivy. Almost to insult to injury The Tricksy Trick Room of Trickery decided that the sun was the best thing to bring in for the round. All of a sudden the area was sweltering hot to all but Narya, who was quite happy to stretch out in the sun. However she had work to do. With a scream she literally lit herself on fire. The referee was suddenly very glad he always donned sunglasses, or else his retinas would be scorched. Narya began to recklessly charge forward at the Snivy opposite her. Even though Smugleaf was completely entranced by the confuse ray, he looked away just as Narya reach him. And then she hit.

A gigantic explosion shook the arena. It seemed that Narya and Smugleaf had simply disintegrated in the immense torrent of flames that spouted from the contact area. Ampharos, res, and RK all gawked at the devastation while God the Porygon looked on as unemotional as always. Out of the smoke however, came a slightly dizzy Vulpix, who proceeded to flump to the ground, utterly exhausted. As the dust cleared, one could see the severely blackened form of Smugleaf the Snivy, looking a lot like a failed attempt at cooked grass snake. RK-10 shakily returned his Snivy, trying to return some saliva to his mouth. res just stood there awkwardly, not even ready to issue thanks to her Pokemon. Finally, Ampharos regained hi composure and he lifted himself out of his lawn chair. He surveyed the damage before putting an end to the battle in the most professional way possible.

“Well, that was fun!”
