Skyman vs. Zapi

Protect against that encore, following up with Aerial Ace which should (I think?) get rid of all those clones, despite not doing much damage. Finally, hit him hard with Facade. Unless, of course, you were unable to use Aerial Ace because of paralysis, in which case try it again instead of using Facade.

Round XV Start

The referee waved his flag, and as a strong wind blew through the immense plain, Johanna raised her arms high and a green energy wall shimmered in mid-air before her. She had no real idea of why she was supposed to do this, and her confusion grew even greater when she saw her foe (and his several clones) land, lie down and curl up into a ball, enjoying a quick nap. Growling, she lowered her arms again and the Protect disappeared. She had the feeling Pika was deliberately playing with her nerves, and she didn’t like it at all – after all, she was a mighty dragon and him a mere rodent! Things weren’t supposed to go in his favour!

As the six rodents kept on mocking her by ignoring her very presence, Johanna focused and tried to overcome the stiffness of her muscles. Her damn body wouldn’t follow her orders – every movement was erratic and tiring. She roared in rage, and finally her legs deigned to move. She shook it a little, then the other – finally, she was regaining somewhat of a control over her members. Without letting them turn into concrete again, she expanded her stubby arms like they were wings and ran towards the assembly of napping mice. Swiftly, she swept them like a bird of prey sweeping over a herd of mortified bunnies, slashing through the clones as they vanished in mid-air, and finally connecting with the real Pika. Completely startled, the Pichu rolled away under the force of the impact, and the few clones left shimmered and disappeared.

Pika got up with difficulty, his face covered in sand and mud and displaying the most rage-filled of expressions. He closed his eyes and began whispering incantations in an unknown language for the most part, and a thick black haze swirled around him, seeping in his ears and mouth and nose. After a few seconds, his body seemed to be bulkier, heavier – his voice was now surreally guttural. Johanna gulped in awe. Still, he was always a Pichu; nothing she couldn’t deal with. She let the paralysis invade her body for good, and, as her entire body stiffened, she felt her power tenfold. She glared at the Pichu and rushed to him without waiting for an answer on his part and attacked him with a furry of slashes, kicks and headbutts. With a final punch, she sent the Pichu flying, and he landed heavily on the back.

Once again, the Pichu got back on his feet slowly, and gazed at Johanna like it had been nothing. It hadn’t, though.

Start off by trying to poison him with Toxic, but if he's going to prevent that attack from hitting somehow, just chill. Try Toxic again if he isn't already poisoned; and if he is already poisoned, Dragon Claw. Finally, Dragon Claw if you haven't already used it successfully, and chill if you have.

Confusing wording is confusing, sorry...let me know if I need to elaborate and whatnot

Alright Pika, let's do this.

Taunt her first, but only after she poisons you. Then, use Substitute(20%). Finally, end with Encore if she successfully used Dragon Claw, and Chill if she didn't.

Round XVI

Johanna knew she wouldn’t hold on for long. Her whole body was tiring, her head felt much heavier than before and it was getting even more strenuous to simply stay standing on her stubby legs. Still, she had to battle until the end and the best way to be useful was to deliver some damage that would stay even after she left the battlefield. She opened her mouth wide and from deep inside her throat organs squished and grumbled, and she finally expelled a spray of goo that fell on Pika like purple (and slightly sticky) rain, and the poison seeped in his skin and to his bloodstream. Trying to ignore the awkward sensation that made him shiver, he focused on his own commands.

He stared at his trainer in confusion. Taunting an opponent was a fate he had never been able to accomplish – he lacked the dark intentions and everything - and he wondered how he could be now. Nevertheless, he tried, throwing random insults at the Axew. Those were so wimpy; however, that Jo barely felt anything a hard-to-contain laugh erratically shaking her body. Pika, raging, didn’t give a look back at Skyman and instead began to accumulate electricity within his cheeks, fuelled by his growing anger. When they couldn’t contain anymore, they released two small discharges, and the electricity joined before him in the vague form of a mouse. The decoy woke up to life and started to skip along happily, eager to help his creator.

Johanna didn’t like the sight of an additional foe; she would once again need to double the efforts, and it wasn’t pleasing her. At all. Sighing, she used another bit of her shallow energy, and engulfed her right hand in draconic energy - it began to glow an intimidating red. Hopefully it would be enough to take the living shield down. Glad her limbs decided to obey her this time; she ran towards the substitute and mercilessly slashed the mass of electrons. Large parts of it flew in all directions, and half its face was clawed off, but the decoy was still intact and ready to take another blow.

Pika began to clap his hands happily, encouraging the dragon to do more. Johanna, nearly out of breath, happened to find it extremely insulting – what kind of bitter irony was that? Red-eyed, she totally ignored her trainer and delivered a last blow with her energy-filled claws, mustering all her remaining strength to take down the clone. With a disturbing ripping sound, the substitute was torn apart and exploded in an utter mess of sparks.

Johanna smiled devilishly, but soon her tiredness took its toll, her tiny body unable bear any more effort – she was unconscious before her body even touched the ground.

D'oh. Forgot about them not learning taunt. Still, good job!

Thunder Wave her if you can. If you can't, then Chill. Then, on the second action Chill if you have thunder waved her, thunder wave if you haven't and she doesn't have a substitute up, and Chill if she does. Then, use Wish on the last action regardless of what happened before.

You forgot to note Pika's poisoning in the post-round status :o
Also, why did Pika take so much damage? Didn't both the Dragon Claws hit his substitute?

Anyway, it doesn't look like we'll be avoiding that t-wave so uh...start out with Venoshock. On the second action, while he's chillin', I'd like you to try Sleep Powder; but if you were unable to use Venoshock at first, try that again instead. Finally, just chill, but if you STILL haven't successfully used Venoshock, try it once more.

Pre-Round

Zapi recalled her Pokémon, and stared in nothingness. Her next battler would be the last one, and she needed to make a wise choice. She settled on her starter, a trustworthy Bulbasaur, also known as the Pokémon from the Golden Days. She took out a good old Poké Ball from her bag and hurled it in the center of the field, spraying blinding rays of lights in all directions.

Violet the Bulbasaur came out of the device and growled loudly, ready to finish the battle decisively.

Round XVII Begin

Violet, bustling with a rash eagerness, rushed forward Pika, her bulb already bubbling with venom. Even though the dinosaur was somewhat slowed down by the vegetal parasite, her tubby like were quick and she rapidly picked up speed, crossing the distance between her and her foe in mere seconds. She jumped an impressive leap and reached for Pika, now releasing wisps of noxious vapors, and reached for her target…

…only to be met with a shockwave of static electricity. The surprise attack forced her to the ground, were she struggled with her numb muscles to move forward. After a moment, she was feeling a tad better (at least she could actually move, albeit with some difficulty) and was able to point her bulb towards the Pichu, becoming a live cannon. The plant had nearly doubled in size with all the poison within – and just like a balloon, the pressurized liquid from inside was shot forward when its top finally opened. The smoking venom washed over Pika with a hiss, and the Pichu squeaked in pain as it mixed with the one in her bloodstream and turned into a noxious cocktail that burned her from inside. He curled up into a ball and began to lick his wounds in vain hope to wash the poison away and recover a bit, and a white and barely perceptible aura bathed him as he did. Violet grinned, quite pleased with the results of her devastating attack.

While Pika was taking a short nap, she began to secrete another secret weapon in her living backpack. It once again grew in size, this time filled with a mixture of various soporiferous powders, and as the bulb’s leaves opened again, a cloud of cotton-like spores flew high up and gently fell all over the Pichu. His slow breath became a loud snore, and the satisfied Violet laid down as the same pale hallow surrounded her.

Thank the RNG gods that Sleep Powder hit! Gave us a nice little advantage for the time being :D

Start off with Growth, then Power Whip while he's (hopefully) still asleep and vulnerable. If he wakes up after that (which he probably will) and he tries to use encore, swagger, or sweet kiss, Protect. If he's somehow still asleep, or he does something other than use the three aforementioned moves: Power Whip if you haven't already, and chill if you have.

If you were unable to use Growth on the first action for some reason, try it again on the second.

Growth ~ Power Whip / Growth ~ Protect / chill / Power Whip

Sleep Talk until you wake up. Then, use Wish and then Chill if you can.

Round XVIII

As soon as the round was flagged open, Pika stood up, eyes still shut tight. While he was as fast asleep as Snorlax blocking an important highway, his whole body was shaking with power. In his slumber, he began jabbering around like there was no tomorrow, calling upon his inner strength. Soon, the random chatter faded into a powerful echo, and then into a screeching sound wave that dispersed throughout the entire field before crashing into Violet. The Bulbasaur rolled farther than she would’ve expected; ending her course in a spiky bush of whatever spiky plant grows on a plain. Violet got back on her four legs after a moment of effort (her bulb being nearly as heavy as herself) and glared at the electric mouse, annoyed and her eardrums worriedly inefficient, she realized he had once again fell on the stiff soil, arms wide-spread.

The need of slapping the insolent Pichu in the face was getting stronger by the minute, but she knew she wouldn’t reason him while he was snoring like an idiot. Instead, she took a deep breath and focused on her own strength, absorbing all the energy of the glowing sun above her and making it her own. As the petals grew bigger, wider, and hungry of warm sunrays, her body seemed to grow the same way. Her hind legs stiffened, her claws and teeth sharpened, the red of her eyes shone in a bloodthirsty red. Grinning like mad, she stared at her foe, which was still all over the place but once again rising up slowly and reciting unconscious incantations.

This time, the bizarre snore made a gift appear right in front of Pika. You got it right, a perfect, cubic white gift box wrapped with joyful pinkish ribbons. The rodent grabbed it in a somnolent confidence and threw it with all his might at Violet. As the merry projectile described a perfect arc in the blue sky, its ribbons flapping in the wind like the sail of a great birthday ship, Violet only had the time to mutter an uncomprehending “What.” Before it crashed down like a rocket and exploded like a blown up hydrogen balloon. The vegetal dinosaur was thrown backwards by the wrapped-up Trojan horse, and found herself lying on the back once more, with a burned up face as an extra. Worst of all, the Pichu had again fell backwards and seemed to take it all cool, with a dumb smile hanging on his yellow face.

“That’s it,” Violet thought. “No more sleepwalking shenanigans for you.” She got up with much more determination than before (still as much time though) and out of her bulb erupted two long, green vines. The vegetal tentacles flew high up in the air, twirling, twisting and tying up into a thick knot. With all the might she could muster, Violet swinged the vines down in a hammer-like fashion, and the tangling mass crashed down on Pika with a crushing sound. The impact sent a shimmering shockwave, and the ground level fell a few inches. When Violet finally decided to remove her vines from the hole, the battered, bruised and well awaken Pika crawled out slowly.

He raised his head to the sky, and began to sing yet another mythic chant. Violet, afraid another explosive surprise would come her way, braced herself with her vines and crouched down, staring at the Pichu suspiciously. The song, however, did not have healing purposes. It was Jirachi’s chant, a wish sent to the sky in hope of body restoration. However, by the time the incantation reached the divine spirit, Pika was laying on the ground, forceless. His last move had drained him out.

Pre-Round

A red beam shot out of Skyman’s Poké Ball as he recalled the valiant Pichu, and the trainer reached for his last one. His hand came out of his bag tightly holding a sparkling Premier Ball, and the referee couldn’t help but whistle at the pure shininess of the high-tech artefact. He made a wide and half-necessary movement of the arm and hurled it right in front of Violet with a Hollywoodian throw, and the device exploded in a flash of red light.

A young, green-hatted Pokémon came out, her eyes barely visible under her cap, and gave a curious look at her surroundings. The Ralts seemed to be feeling quite intimidated by the sheer immensity of the landscape, more so when she met her foe’s daunting glare. Nevertheless, she faced the danger with an either courageous or oblivious to danger passion, and the referee signalled the round open.

Round XIX Begin

The timid-looking Psy didn’t intend to manage her opponent, and as soon as the opportunity arose, she expanded her mind until it reached Violet’s. The Bulbasaur began to panic as she felt her feet leave the ground, and she started to struggle in a vain attempt to free herself of the telekinetic hold. She flailed her stubby legs around desperately as she levitated higher and higher, until she reached a maximum height. She was at least ten meters in the air and far below, she could catch a glimpse of her foe – the Ralts’ eyes were glowing bloody red and a maniacal grin was deforming her traits. Violet braced herself, and soon a pink halo formed around her, locking her mind in a state of ephemeral dementia as Psy played with her brain, throwing her up and down in mid-air up to the point she just couldn’t hold her grasp any longer and had to let the dinosaur go. She fell down slowly, just like a rag doll, and crashed heavily on the hard ground below.

Suddenly, an unwanted ray of sunlight fell on the Ralts and bathed her in healing energy, but the Psychic-type couldn’t care less, sadistically staring at her foe, which was still motionless. She just expanded strings of her psychic powers to reach Violet. As she reached the Grass-type, however, she felt a new resistance. Something was blocking her way to the stupid mind of the Bulbasaur, preventing her from getting a clear grip. Violet stood up and smirked at the attempt to mess with her thoughts again. The force was still milshaking her head, but was far too weak to do more than that. As long as she could keep a straight face, the damned psychopath would believe her attempts were vain. Trying to ignore the pain, she concentrated on her foe’s own life energy, and began to suck it out in the form of green, glowing orbs. She felt replenished almost instantly.

The fight kept on for several seconds, Psy mentally torturing Violet while the latter leeched out the formers health in a frightening ballet of energy streams, both of them keeping their opponent on tenterhooks until the referee had to raise his flag to end the round. Soon, the energy links between the Pokémon faded and they just stood there, panting, waiting for the orders that were to follow.

Afterwards you should chill...and I guess finish by Giga Drain-ing for health (again) if you can. If she tries to use toxic or hypnosis, Protect (but never twice in a row!), then do whatever you were supposed to do for that action on the next action.

Giga Drain (health)
/ Protect ~ chill / Protect / Giga Drain (health) ~ Giga Drain (health) / Protect / chill
