Grate Aural Sects vs Kratos Aurion vs Pathos

ROUND 1

ASB Central is a rather busy place; at morning or night there are always Trainers willing to have a battle, do business or trade Pokemon. The constant activity didn't really allow a situation where one could easily hide their identity, so when night begins to fall, Grate Aural Sects, Kratos Aurion and Pathos meet up with the referee in the alleyways of the Black Market. Black cloaks with large, face obscuring hoods are passed around, and the referee clips a green band around her arm to set her apart from the Trainers. The four silently move into the main street in front of the Pokemon Registration Office, and while the matching black cloaks draw the gazes of a few passing Trainers, what really draws attention to the group is the discussion they seem to be having. Rules are set and finalized for the upcoming battle, words of encouragement are exchanged, and a few prayers that the battlers' businesses are untouched are made.

With a nod, the Trainers pick Pokeballs and the referee steps back and raises an arm. Pathos is the first to move, sending out Tye the male Cleffa. He blinks and looks around, slightly confused. Wasn't this the place they went to buy stuff? A few words from Pathos and Tye starts smiling, eager to get the battle started. Grate Aural Sects is next to send out a Pokemon, choosing to use Quicksilver the female Togepi. She turns back to face her Trainer and smiles, though it's clear she's rather nervous, and turns again to face the other Trainers. Kratos Aurion is last to send out, going with Random Number Degenerate the male Cleffa. Rather impressed by the tall buildings he's never seen before, Degenerate looks around in wonder, nearly forgetting the battle at hand before a snap of the fingers from Kratos brings his attention back to the present. With a final mutual agreement to ruin everything, the battle starts!

Quicksilver smiles at her Trainer's commands, and begins to hum quietly as she moves her hands back and forth. She stops humming as an unseen force pulls her forwards into a run, sending her flying towards Tye. Quicksilver yelps as she's thrown into the air by the same force, and there's a high keening noise that could be either the sound of the Togepi wailing or the air she's forcing aside as she spirals at a ridiculously unsafe speed towards Tye. The Cleffa can only watch in shock as Quicksilver drops out of the sky onto him, and plows him into the ground. Tye huffs as the breath is driven out of him, and lies in place as Quicksilver climbs off him almost apologetically.

Degenerate begins to get to work as Quicksilver and Tye dust themselves off and step away from the vaguely Tye-shaped indent in the ground, and wags his hands to a silent beat. Still moving his hands, Degenerate makes a surprised noise as the same force that came over Quicksilver takes a hold of him and thrusts him towards the Togepi, hands forwards. He somehow manages to get a decent grip around her, and squeezes tightly. Quicksilver yelps and flails around, trying to escape Degenerate's death grip, which only leads to him hanging on tighter. With a final twist, she manages to squirm out of his grasp and take a few wary steps back. That hurt, and Quicksilver looks over the new bruises she has to show for it.

Nearby, Tye manages to ready himself enough to continue, and waves his arms about like he's conducting a band only he can hear. Blinking, something comes over him and he makes eye contact with the nearest Pokemon, who happens to be Degenerate. An odd look comes over his face, and Tye gives the other Cleffa the best death glare he can. Degenerate gives him a confused look and steps backwards, clearly creeped out. Even if he looks away he can still see Tye's expression out of the corner of his eye, and eventually, Degenerate just turns away and does his best to ignore him, not without Tye's expression already burnt into his mind. Ugh.

Quicksilver's still rubbing her sides, though she stops as the Cleffas seems to calm down and raises her arms. She hums under her breath again as she moves her arms back and forth, looking around in anticipation. Across the road from where the Pokemon are battling, a fire hydrant explodes and water spouts everywhere, soaking a passing Trainer who yells and runs as Quicksilver continues to move her arms. An orb of water rises from the stream flowing from the fire hydrant and towards Quicksilver, who stares as it hovers above her head before bursting and forming a thin cascade around her.

Tye begins to move his arms while Degenerate is avoiding his gaze, and soon, has a steady rhythm going. There's a flash of grey light around him, and suddenly Tye is flying through the air at Quicksilver, colliding into her with a screech that could be either Pokemon's. He jumps off of her shell lightly, muttering something under his breath and backing away. Quicksilver seems to be stuck on her back for now and looks rather uncomfortable, flailing her arms and legs but unable to touch the ground.

Degenerate watches Tye go flying past him with wide eyes, and almost cautiously, moves his arms back and forth. Tye's still facing Quicksilver, his back to Degenerate, as his arm takes on a silvery sheen and lurches forwards of its own accord, pulling Degenerate with it. He reaches up and claws down on Tye, leaving three impressive marks on his back. Tye makes an awful noise as pain suddenly burns his back, and he whips around to glare at Degenerate. That was a cheap move, to attack someone while they're facing the other way! Degenerate shrugs and puts a bit of distance between himself and Tye, before he tries anything.

Meanwhile, Quicksilver's managed to get to her feet, and continues with the song she's humming under her breath and waving her arms to. As she waves her arms around, she sees a pale grey light out of the corner of her eye and turns around to see the outline of wings formed from light of the same colour attached to her back. Before she can really question this, they snap open and take her into the sky, screaming. Quicksilver flails around, trying to get back to the ground before realizing that's not the best of ideas. She's about a hundred meters in the air, and falling would not be a good end to this battle, she decides. In any case, the wings on her back seem to have a good hold on her, and to her surprise, even the curtain of water has followed her into the sky.

The two Cleffas jump in surprise as Quicksilver is taken into the sky quite against her will, and turn their attentions on each other. Tye raises his arms right away and begins to move them before Degenerate can react, swinging them to the beat of a silent song. This time he's flung headlong at Degenerate, smacking into the other Cleffa head first, and fastens his tiny teeth in Degenerate's side. Degenerate wails in surprise and shakes Tye off, retreating quickly. Tye just bit him! Who does that, ew now he has holes in his side gross.

Still frowning, Degenerate raises his arms, still keeping an eye on Tye. As he starts to move them, three points of light appear in the sky and seem to grow bigger. Degenerate drops his arms and squints at the sky and the three rather bright points of light. As he's wondering exactly what's going on, the points twinkle and disappear, followed by a slight rumbling sound. Degenerate calls out in surprise as three large rocks wreathed in blue-purple fire speed towards the battling Pokemon, and ASB Central around them.

One rock flies past Quicksilver in the air, narrowly clipping one of her 'wings' before flying through one of the large glass windows of the Bank of TCoD to the loud screams of everyone inside. There's a loud crash as it comes to rest somewhere inside, and Degenerate stares at it in wonder. The Trainers exchange glances and someone makes a snickering sound as they all spot the orange-red glow of flames coming from inside. There goes everyone's allowance for this week.

Another passes by Quicksilver again, narrowly missed by the beating of her 'wings', and crash lands right in front of Tye, throwing the tiny Cleffa backwards to slam into a streetlamp behind him. He winces as his already sore back makes contact with the pole, and looks fearfully at Tye. For just biting him, Degenerate throws space rocks at him? If that was fair, nothing was.

The final meteor lands a side street over from the main road and where the battlers are, crashing through the roof of a rather plain looking red brick building that the referee clearly recognizes. She yells something obscene as the meteor crashes through the front, leaving flames wherever it touches and sending most of the building up in flames. From the battling Pokemon's vantage point, one would be able to make out a sign that says 'Dragons' Den Simulations' on the front of the building. The referee bites her lip and looks over at her business, before turning her attention back to the battle. With a sigh she raises her arms for the next round to begin. There was no way Negrek wasn't going to find out about this, anyways.

Yeah, there's definitely no way Negrek isn't going to attempt to? kill everyone now. The fire in the Bank of TCoD is spreading rather quickly, already visible through the broken glass window. It'll be a while before the entire building is up in flames, but on the ground the Trainers in black cloaks and their Pokemon take a few cautious steps away, to prevent the match from ending early from falling debris. That would be boring! In the distance is the glow of fire, as the meteor that destroyed the referee's business appears to have set fire to the adjacent buildings. Well.

Quicksilver makes her move as the Cleffas on the ground are still looking around at the burning bank behind them and in the distance, moving her arms back and forth to the sound of a silent beat. She blinks as nothing appears to happen, and the wings on her back suddenly stop beating. Quicksilver falls with a shriek, the wings angling her downward and in the general direction of Tye. Turning to look at her back, she sees the faint outline of her wings disappear and form into a short stinger just behind her stumpy legs, glowing a faint purple.

Just as she's sure she's going to crash into Tye, who can do nothing but stare with quite the look of shock on his face, Quicksilver passes over his head and cuts him with the stinger, before it quickly flows back into the shape of wings and pulls the Togepi sharply up into the air again. She comes to rest about twenty meters in the air, closer to the ground than before and breathing hard. Give her a panic attack, why don't you?

As Tye rubs his head and tries to recover from the shock of Quicksilver totally dropping out of the sky at him, Degenerate takes advantage of the opportunity to wag his arms back and forth, smiling slightly at the look on Tye's face. He stops suddenly and starts coughing, dropping to his hands on the ground in a sudden fit. He definitely has Tye's attention now, and the other Cleffa stares at him as he makes a retching sound, and a purple cloud flows from his mouth.

Tye moves back, pretty disgusted, and holds his breath as the cloud slowly drifts by him, missing him by a few feet. As it dissipates to his side, he lets out his breath and takes a cautious step forwards, looking around warily for traces of the purple fog.

Looking uncomfortably at the still-shaking Degenerate, Tye waves his arms around, before slowing down and moving them simply side to side. An odd look comes over his face and he turns towards Degenerate. Smiling, he makes the most charming face he can and spouts cute noises, internally wincing and struggling over the odd urge that's come over him. Degenerate stands up warily, looking over Tye with a critical eye. What did he want..? Tye looks up at Degenerate with wide eyes and suddenly Degenerate feels bad for hitting him with a meteor. But that wasn't really his fault, was it? Degenerate looks away from Tye and frowns, trying to spot Quicksilver in the sky.

The Togepi catches her breath and looks down warily, a bit uneasy at the distance between her and the ground. Togepis weren't meant to be in the sky until they evolved, she decides. She sighs and begins to move her arms back and forth, squeezing her eyes tightly shut as the wing outlines lower her a few meters. Still closing her eyes, she feels a sudden heat build up in her upper body and opens her eyes. To her surprise, she appears to be glowing a light yellow, almost white, and it's beginning to get a bit uncomfortable. Quicksilver shakes her head on an impulse and the light goes flying everywhere, leaving scorch marks in both Degenerate and Tye, who fall on their backs at the force of the wave of fire. Tye appears to have taken the brunt of the blast, as he looks rather more burnt than Degenerate. She looks around and smiles at the blackened streets, an untouched circle around the Trainers and referee's Ralts.

Degenerate is the first to recover, rubbing the soot off his face and groaning. As soon as he's able to without trembling, he swings his arms back and forth as the dust stirs around him. As he lowers his arms and looks around expectantly, he suddenly feels pressure on his back and looks around in surprise. There isn't anything on him that he can see... Tye seems to be under the same effects. He's crouched down and looking around as well, with a rather surprised look on his face. As Degenerate moves into a defensive stance and gets ready for someone to attack him, he spots a white point in the sky and is surprised to see Quicksilver descending quickly, struggling with the wing outlines attached to her back. The wings thrash about in an effort to keep her aloft, before simply disappearing and dropping the Togepi about a meter above the ground. She lands with a slight thump and winces, before hopping to her feet.

Tye looks at the raw blisters on his back and winces, the pressure of the air making him feel a bit uncomfortable. He feels like it should sting, though as he looks closely at them he can see small sparks racing around on his back, touching the open parts of his blisters and making them feel slightly numb. As Tye looks on, the sparks disappear back under his skin, and he turns forwards again.

Almost reluctantly, he raises his arms and moves them back and forth, hoping for some revenge. His entire body tenses up and twitches suddenly, making him narrow his eyes against the sudden pain. Out of the corner of his eye, Tye sees a few sparks race towards Degenerate, up his legs, and disappearing into his torso. The other Cleffa frowns and takes a deep breath, and Tye sees that it's harder for him to move now. Hah. Take that.

Quicksilver's recovered from her sudden drop from the sky, and while Degenerate tries to control his body and Tye watches him with satisfaction she raises her arms and moves them back and forth. Something rises up in her throat and she makes a face, trying not to spit it everywhere. As the pressure in her mouth becomes too much to contain she spits, spewing more stomach fluid than one would expect a small Togepi to have all over the closest Pokemon, Tye. He wails as it splashes onto his blisters sending the sparks on his back flying away from him and disappearing in the air. Quicksilver is still making an odd face, as she looks at the rank-smelling fluid she just sprayed all over the ground. Disgusting. That came from inside her?

Tye bites down hard as his blisters sting again and raises his arms as high as he dares, doing his best not to stretch his back. He slowly begins to move his arms, and yells as the suddenly snap out to his sides, and green light begins to flow from his hands into the ground. Gritting his teeth against the sudden headache that comes over him, he looks closely at the blackened road beneath him and blinks as he sees it shaking slightly.

All around the battling Pokemon, the road begins to crack, tiny plant sprouts pushing through the pavement, and reach towards Quicksilver. She cries out in surprise and takes a few steps backwards, but can do nothing as the plants suddenly burst from the ground and fly towards her, shoving her roughly to the ground as the flow into the pavement around her. Quicksilver yells as the vines and plants rush over her, dragging thorns and twigs over her face and shell. As she tries to bring her arms up over her face the plants slow their rush into the ground around her and eventually come to a stop, encasing her in a shell of vines.

Quicksilver tentatively reaches out and touches the vines, finding they bend easily and pushes her way out of the leafy dome. She takes a look at herself in the light of the streetlamps, finding quite a few bleeding scratches on her face and shell, and a number of thorns stuck in her arms. Quicksilver begins to work on pulling these thorns out with a frown, shooting Tye a few angry glances. Ooh, she'd definitely get him back good.

As Degenerate struggles with his arms, he manages to get them in the air against the wishes of his unwilling muscles. That's all he manages to do before his arms lock in place in the air, not responding to his struggles to move them. Frustrated, he lets his arms stay in the air and glares at both Tye and Quicksilver, daring them to say something about the awkward position they're in. Both his opponents ignore him as Quicksilver nurses her wounds and stares daggers at Tye, while the other Cleffa is gazing around in astonishment at his work. Both seem oblivious to Degenerate's plight.

The ref looks around nervously as a creaking sound echoes all around them. The increased gravity and destruction of a good chunk of the buildings' foundations through Frenzy Plant and Searing Shot can't be good.. An Earthquake would probably bring down a part of a building or two, she decides. Hopefully not any of the ones near the Trainers and her.

Quicksilver raises her arms and waves them in the air, hoping for something to get back at Tye with. Her hands glow for a moment and she stares at them intently, before they twitch and begin to move of their own accord, poking and jabbing seemingly randomly at her own body. She yelps and tries to pull away, though it's slightly difficult when her own hands were the ones assaulting her. They pause and Quicksilver raises them and glares, untrusting of her own body and feeling generally uncomfortable. What.. Just happened?

Degenerate watches this with a critical eye, before shrugging and struggling to move his arms in the air. They move, albeit slowly and creakily, his body fighting him. Degenerate stops and takes a few breaths before he finds himself pulled forwards into a run, charging at Quicksilver. The Topgepi yelps as he crashes into her full on and throws her a few feet back, narrowly missing the telephone pole to her left. Degenerate jumps after her and pummels her with foot and hand, totally destroying her bubble of personal space. Quicksilver twitches and puts her arms over her face as the Cleffa takes a few steps back, somewhat shocked at his sudden attack. He stares at Quicksilver, looking at her new wounds. He did that, huh?

Tye takes the opportunity to raise his hands in the air, completely ignored by Quicksilver and Degenerate again. As he waves them, he looks around and sees the remains of plants from his previous attack and smiles. Something makes his arms pause in the air and drags him towards Degenerate, before it roughly shoves him forwards and leaving him to his own devices. Tye looks around in surprise, already free from the effects of metronome. Was that it? No, Tye still wanted to do some damage to Degenerate, if he could. With a cry, he jumps at Degenerate, hands flailing and hits the other Cleffa with as much rage as he can muster. ..Which isn't much. Tye soon gets tired of attacking Degenerate and walks a few steps away, leaving the other Cleffa somewhat confused.

Quicksilver's back on her feet again, and she has her arms already in the air and moving as both Degenerate and Tye turn to look at her. She turns to glare at Tye, gathering up all her hate for him and anger at that plant rush thing he did earlier. With a shout, she starts to glow a faint, dark purple, and then the light explodes outwards, flying in Tye's general direction. He yelps as it knocks him backwards, and he tumbles head over heels towards his Trainer. Muttering something, Tye gets to his feet and brushes himself off.

With an indignant huff, Tye raises his arms and waves them, looking at Degenerate and Quicksilver intently. As he looks around, a strong breeze blows by him and picks up some of the ashes on the blackened street. Tye rubs his eyes as they blow by his face, and when he looks up there's sand and ashes flying everywhere. There seems to be a thin stream of light drifting from him into the wind, and Tye nods as he surveys his work. It was pretty good, he decided.

Degenerate shields his eyes from the sand tearing through the air, and closes his eyes tightly as he raises them. Almost instinctively, he turns towards Quicksilver as he wags his fingers and his eyes snap open. His arms are pulled forwards and he feels something cold in between his hands. Degenerate looks at them oddly before a tiny sharp icicle shoots at Quicksilver, then another, and another. In surprise, he jerks his arms to the side and loses the cold feeling, finding he can move his arms normally again.

Quicksilver looks up in surprise as the icicles bite into her side, stinging slightly before melting with her body heat. Was that meant to hurt? It's a bit difficult to tell who attacked her when both of her opponents look similar and there's sand flying everywhere, obscuring her view, but she's pretty sure that was Degenerate that attacked her just now. Raising her arms and looking around for the Cleffa, Quicksilver wags her fingers and stares intently into the sand. Her arms lock in place in the air, and her hands begin to glow as Degenerate looks around wildly. Her eyes widen as Degenerate rises into the air, flailing his arms and legs, and is roughly thrown back to the ground. She blinks as a few specks of sand get into her eyes, and she rubs them, smiling.

While Degenerate gets off the ground, Tye raises his arms and wags his fingers, looking around him nervously. As he lowers his arms, the air around him begins to crackle and he's dragged towards Quicksilver. He trips over his own feet and the force picks him up, sending him flying headlong at Quicksilver. The air around him flares up and crackles loudly as they make contact, and both Quicksilver and Tye huff as the air goes out of them. Tye lands on his stomach and groans, getting to his feet slowly and backing away from Quicksilver.

Degenerate raises his arms jerkily, and wags his fingers with some sort of determination. Before Quicksilver can get back on her feet, she hears a cry of surprise from Degenerate as a green light begins to flow from his chest, and hangs in the air for a moment. Quicksilver eyes it as she gets to her feet, and yelps as it advances towards her, swelling like a tidal wave and making plants sprout behind it as it advances. Quicksilver is knocked flat onto her back by the green light, quickly followed by the thorny vines racing over her face. She cries out and makes a weak attempt to protect her face from the thorns, before the rush of plants slows to a stop and she finds she can stand.

Quicksilver looks around with a sharp gaze, surveying the large field of plants and vines just... There in the middle of the street. Huh. That would mess up the foundations of buildings for sure. With a glare at both Tye and Degenerate, Quicksilver has visions of fire completely razing the street they're standing on and smiles. It looks like she might get her wish a bit sooner than she hopes too; with the fire at the Bank of TCoD spreading almost to the doorway, and the quickly wilting and drying plants just outside the entrance.

All three Pokemon look around suddenly as the force of gravity on their backs stops pressing on them so hard, and the sand flying everywhere seems to have more of a free reign. The referee sighs. If one of the Pokemon wanted to bring down all the buildings in the immediate area with some ease, they just missed their chance. Maybe another Draco Meteor, though? A fire type attack?
