Well, yes, but, technically, they would have no effect.

Of course, the battlers can always agree to minor changes in the rules.

Their effects don't take place (and they technically don't exist for Fling and Acrobatics and other sneaky things) but they're there. Secretly.

Je commanderais dans francais, mais je ne suis pas bien a cette langue :[

EDIT: o u sneaky ninja

..I packed Taggerung away to the PC just in time for this battle didn't I :V In any case; Must have Scrafty! Let's ruin everything, Vuvuzuru~

Taunt, Dragon Dance and then Ice Punch. If she protects/detects/substitutes/has a substitute against your Taunt or Ice Punch, Dragon Dance again.

That was it. Heralded as a heaven of competitive balance (although this quality is very often disputed), practically the face of fairness over fun. Typically void of objects brought from outside, usually fought on with equal starting ground, mostly populated by foxes.

It was the infamous Final Destination, of course.

The perfectly flat surface glistened with the starlight as the trainers and referee arrived, each by their own means. Metallica Fanboy quickly reminded the trainers of the house rules: no items, no handicap, Fox only, Final Destination. And then they proceeded to break the third one by sending out two humanoid, but reptilian Pokémon. One of them was brown and had a skull stuck fast into her head, whereas the other, a little closer to human shape, was mostly yellow and had a loose patch of skin from the waist downards that it would ocasionally pull up to the neck.

While it would be all but pointless to enforce the Fox only part, the referee still got to scold Loa for dual-wielding bones. One he could let slide, but not two. A bit frustrated, the Cubone tossed one of the primal weapons aside.

With each battler taking position at an edge of the extense platform, the battle began.

Vuvuzuru waited for the opponent's move, which turned out to be cut in close and lash out with a spinning bone lunge, vaguely reminiscent of a drill. Even with the elemental advantage, the attack was annoying at worst.

In response, the Scraggy began to mock her oppponent. Nyet nyet nyet, that was so wimpy. Maybe if you had the bone that didn't suck you'd be able to attack like for real.

With that out of the way, she started to perform a series of acrobacies. Although very limited by the narrow area, she still managed to unlock deep-seated Dragon-type energies known to be present only in those of her kind that come from draconic lineage. All along the way, she never realized one thing: Cubone are masters of belated, but effective revenge. As soon as she settled, she was struck out of the blue by an insanely powerful, nearly explosive punch.

That was a Focus Punch, widely regarded as the ultimate Fighting-type move. Although it requires a great degree of, well, focus, it can be pulled off if the user is left undisturbed for enough time. Which was just what happened while Dragon Dance was in use.

Such was the strenght of the attack, that its victim was actually flung quite a distance away, nearly falling off the arena. The heightened agility granted by the draconic energy flowing in her body allowed her to hang onto a ledge with just the right timing, thankfully; still, she was sure, at that point, that she wasn't going to let that dangerous idiot go unwatched much longer.

While lunging in for a counterstrike, Windragon's Pokémon was struck a second time by the drilling lunge. It was, again, little more than a minor annoyance, although that meant a little more after the heavy damage from the other attack. That little thing aside, it was time for superiority to be established. With an ice-cold punch to the snout.

Just as the orphan Pokémon got up from that last blow, the battle ended, with both battlers eying each other hatefully.

- blazheirio889 attacks first next round.

Aw, poo. Okay, then! Earthquake by default, but switch to Flamethrower if Vuvuzuru tries to Counter, or has clones (in which case sweep it about). Swords Dance if you can't attack Vuvuzuru in any way (e.g. Protect, Detect, out of range somehow, though Subs should be killed on sight).

Boring and basic commands are boring :U

Earthquake/Flamethrower/Swords Dance x3

we almost the freeze

Well D: You're already at 7/10 your health, Vuvuzuru, that's not good! Don't give me that look, I know you know about numbers you know what I mean.

Um. Right. Start with a Protect to make her Struggle because lol y not. I don't know if she can honestly switch to Flamethrower if you try to Counter because priority and all so :? let's see what happens? Start to Counter if the ground start rumbling, but if fire starts flying at you take it like a gangsta and Drain Punch her in the face for it after. ..If it turns out I can't logic just Drain Punch anyways though.

Protect~Counter/Drain Punch~Counter/Drain Punch

please logic on my side?

Both trainers seemed rather dismayed by the events up to that point, but, they knew it was only the beggining. The commands were mostly forward and offensive, but also careful.

Loa had been ordered to draft to Swords Dance if her foe had used Protect, as she indeed just had, but she wasn't about to let it slide that easily. She had to set her anger free, and so she did, continuosly mailing the force barrier while Vuvuzuru just mischievously giggled behind it.

By the time the shields were down, the Cubone felt much better, and ready to execute the next command properly. She carefully waited for her opponent to move and readied both of the possible countermeasures.

Little did she know, the Scraggy was also waiting on her move.

The two battlers just stood idle for the remainder of the round, seeming cautious and strategical at first but plain dumb by the time the third minute was up.

The amount of time they'd just wasted only sank in when the end of round was called.

Oh wait 1 thing: Taunt only lasts 3 actions now, but I'm not sure if you include the action it was used on? If so, Loa should've been able to Swords Dance; if not, nevermind this.

Also lol circular commands Loa you can at least skullpalm- *thwacked with club*

That depends on the speed order; it counts if the Taunt user went before the target, it doesn't if they went after. Vuvuzuru did the latter because she had to wait on Loa's move to figure her own.

And in case you're wondering why I do this, it's to ensure that any Pokémon be given the same amount of Taunted moves.

Right, makes sense. Thanks.

derp well this is what I get for trying to strategy.

Toxic, then Drain Punch a million times. If she Protects/Detects/Substitutes use Dragon Dance instead.

Toxic/Dragon Dance~Drain Punch~Drain Punch

Take that Toxic LIKE A BOSS and throw up a 15% Substitute. Then retaliate with two Focus Punches. However if by some devilry your Substitute is gone by the third action, just Counter the Drain Punch.

-----

With the Scraggy still perfectly motionless, waiting, and the Cubone thwacking her trainer for various reasons, the next round of mess began.

Shaking her head to get in the mood after all the idling (like a boss), Vuvuzuru swiftly threw up a mix of chemicals, getting it all over the opponent's shoulder. Of course, the pun involving "puke" and "Pokémon battling" shortly thereafter was inevitable. Loa just ate it up (the pun, not the puke) and instead focused on stealing chunks of the arena's sides to assemble a statue and animate it.

Once the likeness of a Cubone was built and given to life, it was quickly put to work, as it jumped into a swift punch to the gut. Not actually realizing that a decoy was hit instead of the real thing, the Scraggy proceeded to gloat again, only to find its face in the way of another total destruction punch.

After recovering from an awkward landing, the lizard Pokémon, ready to call it fight, punched right through the decoy, shattering it with relative ease. Hah! No more tricks for you, skullface. Those were the last swaggered words of the round, quickly interrupted by a third Focus Punch. That was getting old fast, specially for the Dark- and Fighting-type, who attained a red aura upon being hit again.

1% above the cap whyyy

Go ahead and hammer Vuvuzuru with more high-powered attacks. Earthquake, Facade, then Earthquake again.

If she tries to Counter, or has clones when you are to use Facade, then aim a Flamethrower at her face, or sweep it about in case of clones.

If she Protects, Detects, or is otherwise inaccessible, Mimic Vuvuzuru's Drain Punch for later use. Word of God says that if it's within the last three actions it has a good chance of working. Only do that for the first two actions, though; if the same circumstances present themselves on the third action, just Swords Dance.
