amaterasusprite.png

[Amaterasu] Poochyena (F)
Ability: Quick Feet

Signature Attribute: Sun Demigoddess
Amaterasu is the last in a long line of Mightyena. She was named for her second-most distant ancestor, Amaterasu the goddess of the sun. The original Amaterasu accomplished the amazing feat of defeating Orochi, the 8-headed demon, and Yami, the lord of evil. In the process, the original Amaterasu traveled around the distant land of Nippon, gathering powers from the thirteen Celestial Brush Gods to use with her divine power, the Celestial Brush. Since the original Amaterasu, every one of her descendants has had a celestial brush of their own and followed in their ancestors' footsteps, making their own journey around Nippon and collecting powers from the Celestial Brush Gods. Amaterasu is no exception. However, she was caught and sold to Superbird before she was able to gain all of the Brush Gods' powers, and thus does not yet have the ability to use all of them, much less at their full power. However, there are still several brush strokes that she can use:
-Sunrise (Sunny Day)
-Power Slash (Slash)
-Greensprout (Vine Whip)
-Cherry Bomb (Egg Bomb)
-Waterspout (Water Gun)
-Galestorm (Gust)
-Inferno (Ember)
-Mist (Mist)
-Thunderstorm (Thundershock)
-Blizzard (Icy Wind)
All of these attacks are initiated by Amaterasu’s Celestial Brush, and are therefore are always counted as special attacks. But there is a limit to these attacks; Amaterasu has a limited amount of ink. She can only use one of the above attacks per round. In addition, Greensprout, Waterspout, Inferno, Thunderstorm and Blizzard can only be used with help from Amaterasu's surroundings--flowers for Greensprout, water for Waterspout, a significant source of heat for Inferno, something with electrical energy for Thunderstorm, and a particularly cold/icy thing for Blizzard. (Sunny Day is not an oversight. It just works with the same mechanics as these moves; as in, it can only be used once per round.)

Being a demigoddess of the sun, Amaterasu obviously fights better in sunlight. When fighting in strong sunlight, Amaterasu gains an extra +1 in Speed. However, if Amaterasu is fighting when the sky is not visible she loses -1 in that stat instead. In addition, being the Sun Goddess (but not actually being the sun or possessing its direct power), Amaterasu is a normal-type instead of a dark-type, gaining all the advantages and disadvantages of Normal-type and shedding those of the Dark-type. She also gains a weakness to the Dark-type. Finally, because she is a goddess of sun, Amaterasu has never learned many evil techniques and is violently opposed to them, and thus cannot use them.

Effects:
Amaterasu is now a Normal-type instead of a Dark-type, and gains all the benefits and drawbacks of that type along with an additional weakness to Dark. If she is battling in strong sunlight, Amaterasu gets an extra +1 in Speed, but if the sky is not visible she gets -1 in that stat instead. Note that this modification cannot bypass the +/-6 limit, and they fade if the condition for them is no longer true. Finally, she can use any of the following attacks a total of one time every round: Sunny Day, Slash, Vine Whip, Water Gun, Egg Bomb, Gust, Ember, Mist, Thundershock and Icy Wind. Finally, Amaterasu loses access to the following attacks: Thief, Embargo, Sucker Punch, Torment, Snatch, Dark Pulse, Shadow Ball, Spite, Covet, and Assurance.

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

Paranoia fuel gogogo! Although I'm pretty sure when I get this approved I'll be lamenting on how I can't use five conditionals.

---

Ralts
[Ma'at] ralts (F)
Ability: Trace
Signature Attribute: Better With Numbers

While most psychic types are hailed for their effortlessly brilliant minds and powerful telekinetic abilities, their specialties in mental precision usually don't go too far as to hinder other things. Some psychics can pack a punch physically just as well as they can stimulate nerves to make you think they can pack a punch physically, and others are mentally supportive as well as offensive. All of them have some sort of outstanding skill other than their mind, though; at least pokemon with trainers that encourage variation. After all, what if a light screen comes up or the foe protects? What would you do then if someone managed to catch you off-guard with an unexpected move or blow? How could you fight if your foe was a dark-type, and your psychic powers are useless?

That was Ma'at's specialty. Not really the actions themselves, per say... but the thinking and planning. Descended from a line of many pure-bred, crazy psychic types (and instucted by a trainer driven paranoid by excessive playing of a game called Mafia), Ma'at was taught never to assume, never to figure the foe couldn't do something. Watching victories and losses (or hearing about them, as due to her relative inexperience) occur almost purely due to loopholes, the very socially awkward pokemon made a decision--she would never let that happen to her.

She was always a perfectionist, and to her every rose contained more thorns than flowers; the only reasonable thing to do was to make sure that her trainer's commands and her execution of them was flawless. And after mindless obsessing over things that could maybe sort-of help, she figured that even though her brain was a pathetic weak thing that can't even think to possibly hold all of what she needed to make sure they would win her opponents would be too simple-minded to notice.

Whether or not that was true, she became very bad with people.

Effects: Ma'at can understand and act on up to four conditionals without the typical drawbacks of such (misunderstandings, failure to act, etc.); however, she will become just as confused as any other pokemon if she is given five. If given contradicting commands, she will think through them until they make sense and act upon them accordingly (therefore, she'd be more likely than your average magikarp to realize that getting her status bounced back at her has the same effect as the foe protecting).

Due to her social incompetence she cannot use the moves swagger (well, it honestly just looks really pathetic when she does), helping hand, heal pulse, charm, captivate, or attract. She will not get the attack or special attack boost from flatter or swagger as well (due to the fact she will overthink the opponent's action to the point of confusion; she won't take the act itself at face value).

[Stuxnet] Porygon (N)
Ability:Download
Signature Move:Exploitation

Description:
As mentioned here, this Porygon was corrupted by a powerful virus, Stuxnet. This virus was used as a weapon to infect things like power plants and oil grids, and shit these things down using holes in the programming known as "Zero Days".

Porygon's digital nature allowed Stuxnet to infect one member of the species. Scientists quickly stopped the virus from spreading, but Stuxnet still used it's purpose-it still found Zero Days. But not just in computer programming-as it turns out, our world is merely a gigantic mash of incredibly complex computer code:a code filled with holes, for those able to see them.

And Stuxnet is. It exploits them every round, regardless of it's trainer's wish, which is what it's Attribute Zero Day is all about. However, Stuxnet can also be commanded to use these holes in the programming of life offensively, as an attack. However, these Zero Days are wildly uncontrollable, and the target, damage and energy cost of the move are all things Stuxnet has no bearing over.

Type:Normal
Stat:N/A
Base Damage: 1-10%
Accuracy:Always Hits
Target:Random Pokémon in battle
Energy:1-10%
Duration:One Action

Effects:
Stuxnet's exploitation of Zero Days inflicts random typeless damage (between 1% and 10%) at a random cost of energy (between 1% and 10%) to a random Pokémon in battle.
Usage Gap:None

(Though this attack can inflict 10% damage to an enemy for 1% energy, I believe it is balanced by the fact that it is just as likely to inflict 10% damage to itself for 10% energy).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[Scylla] Cloyster (M)
Ability:Shell Armor
Signature Attribute:Extraordinary Lineage

As is explained here, Scylla the Cloyster used to be, not a Cloyster, but the ancient six-headed beast, snacking on sailors that sailed down the narrow passage it called home. One sailor had a wife, however, well versed in magic, who transformed it into the Cloyster it is now. Despite being a Pokémon now, Scylla still keeps some of its extraordinary abilities, such as as its Six-Pronged Strike.

This is not Scylla's only distinguishing feature, however. It was the child of two powerful sea gods, Ceto and Phorcys, and as such, its association with water is not to be overlooked. Just being near water boosts Scylla's performance, and the ordinary lifeless liquid will actually go out of its way to help the beast. However, water is linked very closely to this being's power-if it is not in it or at least touched by it, its performance suffers considerably. Such is the privileges and price of having such unusual parents.

Effects:Whilst in or surrounded by water, (it must be a considerably large body, at least as big as Scylla itself) it gains +2 in Attack, Defense, Special Attack and Special Defense. If it is within a meter or so of water when attacked with a projectile attack, it will leap on its own accord and try to protect it, shaving 2% damage off. However, if Scylla is not surrounded by or in a body of water as large as itself, it loses -1 in Attack and Special Attack.

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

As my beloved GLaDOS has attained her final evolution, it's time to update her sigstuff!

[GLaDOS] Porygon-Z (X) <Download>

Body Modification:
Personality Cores

GLaDOS is not your typical Porygon-Z; it was manufactured not by Silph Co., but a rival company called Pokéture Science for testing with behaviour and computerized teaching of other Pokémon. It possesses several abilities that a regular Porygon from Silph Co. does not, such as its Signature Move. Another of these abilities is the fact that it possesses Personality Cores, advanced personality software developed by the company for research. Currently, three of these cores are active in GLaDOS, as follows:

Orange 'Curiosity' Core: Its default state. The Curiosity Core does not grant any additional benefits or weaknesses. When this core is active, its eyes are orange.

Blue 'Knowledge' Core: When GLaDOS drops to 50% or lower health, the Knowledge Core activates instead of the Curiosity Core. This Core helps it know how to more effectively protect itself. When this Core is active, GLaDOS gets a +2 bonus to her DEF and SP.DEF. Its eyes glow blue when this core is active.

Red 'Emotion' Core: When GLaDOS drops to 25% or lower health, the Emotion Core activates instead of the Curiosity Core or Knowledge Core. This core fuels its anger, making it a more vicious attacker. When this Core is active, GLaDOS gets a +2 bonus to its ATK and SP.ATK. Its eyes glow red when this core is active.

Effects:
Orange Core: No change
Blue Core: +2 bonus to DEF and SP.DEF
Red Core: +2 bonus to ATK and SP.ATK.

In addition, if GLaDOS goes above the maximum amount of health allowed to a Core, it will revert to the previous one. The stat bonuses cannot be transferred to another Pokemon by any means, and do not allow it to pass the usual -/+6 min/max. The bonuses do not stack. For example, if it were to pass from Blue to Red, the DEF/SP.DEF gained from the Core would disappear.

Movepool Modification: Weighted Companion Cube

GLaDOS is not your typical Porygon; it was manufactured not by Silph Co., but a rival company called Pokéture Science for testing with behaviour and computerized teaching of other Pokémon. It possesses several abilities that a regular Porygon from Silph Co. does not. One of these is the ability to creature an illusionary object, known as a 'Companion Cube' in the mind of another Pokémon in battle.

The target will become infatuated with the Companion Cube just as if it were another Pokémon of the appropriate gender, but only it can see and 'interact' with it; any other Pokemon in the battle besides the target and GLaDOS will be unaware the Cube exists.

But over time, the targeted Pokemon will become more and more paranoid towards the Cube - and GLaDOS's - intentions. This is how the infatuation is decreased over time, instead of being attacked, as the Companion Cube is an inanimate object. The infatuation works as normal otherwise. The attack of an affected Pokemon will also drop sharply as long as the Companion Cube is in view as long as it is infatuated with it. When the infatuation fades, the Cube will disappear.

This attack doesn't work on Genderless or Oblivious Pokemon.

Type:
Psychic / Base Power: n/a / Stat: n/a / Energy: 7% / Accuracy: 95% / Target: Single / Duration: until attraction fades
Effects: Causes severe infatuation with illusionary Companion Cube, decreases attack of affected Pokemon by -2 temporarily.
Usage Gap: Once a battle per foe, three rounds between use. Only one foe at a time can be affected.

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

[Environmentalist] Meowth (M)
Ability: Pickup
Signature Attribute: Green Rage

Environmentalist did not get this nickname for no reason. He actively enforces the protection of nature and, if something anti-ecological transpires within his range of sensory, he will deliver punishment, drawing power from what he seeks to protect if necessary. What particularly peeves him are the following: littering, water pollution, gas emission and, mostly, destruction of nature by reckless attacking.

Effects: This signature attribute will be triggered if any of the following occours in an arena with sufficient wildlife: dropping a held item while Environmentalist can't collect it with Pickup, causing Poison-type moves to hit a sufficiently large body of water (which means not a puddle, but definitely a pond) or using Acid Armor to blend into one whilst being a Poison-type, using the attack Smokescreen or causing significant damage to said wildlife. If Green Rage is activated, all of Environmentalist's offensive attacks will do 3% more damage, with the energy cost being increased in accordance to the damage dealt (i.e. for the intents and purposes of cost calculation each attack is treated as having 30 more points of base power). Also, while in this state, Environmentalist receives STAB whenever he uses an offensive Grass-type move, but must expend 1% additional energy for every such attack.

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

So I guess I'll give my beloved Mintleaf a shiny new move to compliment her body modification.

Snivy
Mintleaf (F)
Ability: Overgrow
Body Modification: Minty Leaves
Signature Move: Peppermint Sharpness

Mintleaf's body has the genes and aroma of Mentha x piperita (a.k.a. peppermint) in her body, as her leaves give off a minty scent. Especially when chewed, because the water in her leaves are also sharply mint scented! When a bite is taken off, and the liquid inside is directly sniffed, it can briefly overtake anyone's nasal passages and induce quite a sneeze and tickle in the throat. Mintleaf has found that she can make a nice use of this! She can take a bite of herself - oh, the paaaaain and tragedy - and suck out all the liquid from the bite, barely mixing it with her saliva, then spit it out all over her enemy! It leaves the opponent's nose twitchy, and the action after its use, the opponent will waste a bit of time getting out that destinied sneeze, allowing Mintleaf to strike first. Problem is, Mintleaf doesn't particularly enjoy hunks of her body being taken out, despite the fact thy they regenerate over the course of about two rounds. Until it has completely come back, though, she will refuse to tarnish her body any further, poor soul. Other problem, while hurting herself tragically, she becomes very vulnerable, as she not only wastes time; she somehow manages to always forget that she's in a battle and lowers her guard! How smart, eh?

Effects: Mintleaf bites herself and spits out the liquid of her body. The target wastes time by sneezing, and attacks last that action. Mintleaf's guard is lowered; essentially, she has -1 Defense while in the act. She also sustains 3% damage from taking out a piece of herself.

Normal/Damage: 0% to target/Base energy, 3%/Takes one action to execute/One selected target other than self/Usage gap is two rounds/

Nemo – male
<Magic Guard>

Signature Attribute: I Hold the Thunder

Nemo’s original owner was a man of great mystery – a legendary captain who sailed through storms and wars between the metallic walls of his submarine ship, the Nautilus. The contemporaneous pirate had found the abandoned egg on a cold shore, not far from a rocky beach renowned for being the nest of countless Tynamos. Anyways, he decided to take it with him, along with his squad of aquatic Pokémon. From the beginning, the Solosis seemed to be weaker than others – a large gash at the surface of its egg had disturbed its growth as an embryo, and left him with a weakened gel coating.

Nevertheless, Nemo was a fearless sailor aboard the Nautilus, just like every other of the Captain’s Pokémon. Since the ship was heavily dependant over electronical circuits, Nemo learned to manipulate weak currents with his psychic powers, transporting them over short distances as though they were copper threads. He managed to master that technique, and became very good at fixing minor circuiting problems.

One day, though, a particularly violent thunderstorm shook the iron ship and completely disrupted its electrical systems – and none of the crew could fix them, all of them being water-types. Nemo, as cold-blooded as ever, crossed the line. He did what he felt right for the crew, and decided to sacrifice himself for the crew. Before the Captain could stop him, he was atop the ship and using his psychic powers to drag the energy to him and into the ship, hopefully restoring the system before it sank into the abyss below. At that moment, a lightning of the most extraordinary kind struck the sea. Undeniably, Nemo, acting like a living lightning rod, absorbed the formidable burst of energy, and through a clever use of telekinetic gates, brought it to the ship’s electrical systems. The Nautilus was saved, but Nemo nearly passed out under the unbearable power of the lightning. It had left him weakened, burned, sparking – and weirdest of all, his entire body had turned into an electrical yellow.

While nobody knows what exactly had happened during that moment, theories from the Captain include the fact that Nemo still had a great deal of stem cells in his gel, and they acted exactly acted as they should’ve – copying their nearest cellular components, in this case electrified cells. Maybe it comes from the Solosis’ possible Eelektross genes heritage, or even his inner ability to manipulate electricity. This shall forever remain a secret. Nevertheless, that event left him with an altered cellular structure and a now natural affinity with electricity. And when the Captain left Nemo to Lord of the Fireflies, afraid a live at sea was too dangerous for such a young Pokémon, the trainer got to experience the Solosis’ remarkable powers.

Nemo is considered to be part Electric-type, but as he didn’t effectively master the element yet, he doesn’t get STAB from electric-type attacks. He constantly glows in a bright yellow, and opponents tend to adapt to this intense light, and it easily reveals Nemo’s true emplacement. Additionally, his time spent on the Nautilus prevented him from practicing certain attacks due to lack of material. Finally, the gash in his egg left him with a weakened gel coating, and so he suffers from a permanent one-stage reduction in defense. On the other hand, his new nature granted him access to new moves previously unknown to most Solosis, as well as a quite interesting new cellular weapon – electricity-producing cells.

Effects: Nemo is yellow and part electric-type, minus STAB. Since he constantly radiates light, attacks using light to distract the opponent (Flash and Confuse Ray) as well as Double Team will fail. Additionally, he can’t use the moves Rock Tomb, Rock Slide and Rollout. Finally, he has a permanent -1 in defense. On the other hand, he gains access to the moves Charge Beam, Thunderbolt and Spark.

It was missed last time and I believe one at a time is less intimidating :)

Most Awesome Rock from the Sun

Claiming a birthday gift.

[Enoch] Solrock
Ability: Levitate

Signature Attribute: Third Rock From the Sun

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, the great dragon Avalarix ruled the known world with an iron claw. None could slay him, and none dared try, which kind of makes you wonder how they knew they couldn't slay him to begin with, but anyway. It was prophesied that the Third-born Son of the Sun would one day arrive to become the One Protector of the world, which everyone assumed meant he would slay Avalarix. Of course, they were wrong, as he and the other dragons were eventually wiped out by unicorns or something. And so, no longer relevant to people in developed countries (jerks), the prophecy fell into forgottenness...

Fast forward a few aeons. It is the year 20XX. Suddenly and without warning, strange rocks begin to rain down upon the planet Earth, some vaguely cheese-like, others covered with cruelly sharp yellow spikes, crushing unsuspecting humans and their buildings and uninsured cars beneath them where they fall.

Yes, two new Pokémon species have arrived.

Lunatone... and Solrock.

These mysterious creatures, born of the heavens, dumb as rocks, have long fascinated Pokémon professors and Mr. Pokémon - you know, that guy with the eggs? He really likes rock-shaped things, it seems. Anyway...

What no one knew was that one of these Solrocks was the third to reach the Earth. Well, technically speaking, most people knew, since there were definitely at least three of them, but no one knew which one was the third to reach the Earth. Nor did they care, because the Prophecy of the Third-born Son of the Sun had passed into the forgottennesses of all...

... all but my tribe. We still remember the teachings of the Wise Woman.

Here are the words of the great Oracle Amygdala as they were passed down to me by my ancestors:

"[...] and on the day that the angels of Hell sing of death and despair,
and Man, awestruck, sees them raise their axes to the skies,
and Man weeps not but praises his executioners;
then shall the Third-born Son reveal himself to the world,
and then shall the Great Flame come over him,
and he shall be the One Protector of the world,
until the end of times.

Fast forward a couple of months. Lunatones and Solrocks have successfully integrated themselves into society, although many humans still harbour a lingering resentment over the car-impaling thing. Enoch, an ordinary Solrock teenager still unsure of his gender identity but referring to himself as male (he later finds out he's genderless, but that's another story), is attending the Rock-Concert-For-Actual-Rocks Rock Concert. The crowd goes wild as Medullica, coincidentally his favourite band, enters the stage.

But just as they begin to play their one-hit-wonder song "Death and Taxes and Despair and More Taxes (Take This Life)", something goes... horribly wrong.

Suddenly and without warning, a crazed fan - or possibly a guy who just went nuts from the lyrics - jumps onto the stage, eager to either receive Lars Mögëlheäd's autograph or stab him violently to death. Security is upon him within seconds, but as they drag the flailing man away, he kicks over an already ridiculously unsafe pyrotechnic device. At that exact moment, the band bursts into the song's chorus:

"I've become so numb
What have I done?
I'll face myself, crawling in my skin
These wounds, they will not heal..."

... and as the fireworks array showers the audience with sparks and werfs flammen into the air, that single knocked-over device spews a stream of white-hot fire straight into Enoch's face.

An ordinary Solrock would have been killed immediately, or at least mildly injured. But not Enoch.

For little did anyone know that Enoch was, in fact, the third Solrock ever to reach the Earth.

He had at last fulfilled the prophecy.

Effects: Enoch, now better known as his superhero alter ego Third Rock From the Sun, is on fire. Always. That's his superpower. It's a gift and a curse. Being on fire all the time causes him to have the same traits as a Fire-type (weaknesses, resistances, STAB, susceptibility to drowning - well, most people have that, don't they?), while melting away his Rock-type characteristics. It also gives him some fancy new powers and alters his existing ones...

Explosion: When Enoch uses Explosion, he now causes a Pyrotechnic Supernova, which doesn't really do anything special but looks a lot prettier than an average explosion.

Burn: Enoch is on fire. And he always will be. He's had time to get used to it though, so he only takes 2% Burn damage per round from it, and suffers no penalties to damage dealt. He is more difficult to freeze solid, and anyone who touches him takes a small amount of Fire damage (on par with that of Rough Skin), unless they like sticking their hands in fire, in which case they just enjoy it. He has -25 to Stealth, but +2 to Charisma, unless you're within five feet of him, in which case he has -2 Charisma. Wait, what game is this again?

Harden: Enoch is on fire. Because he's nearly melting, Enoch can't Harden. (Some jokes are too cheap even for me.) He can Rock Polish, but the effect wears off much faster than usual, lasting only a few actions. Poor guy's always going to look kind of... goopy.

Helping Hand: Enoch is on fire. As a result, any time he tries to "help" his allies, he gives them a mild burn and royally screws up whatever they were doing, interrupting that action. The worst part is that he doesn't learn from his mistakes. I'd be okay with it if he only set you on fire like every once in a while by accident, since he means well, but he does it all the time. Do you have any idea how many times I've had to buy new course books just because he keeps trying to help me every time I get stuck on some black body radiation problem or other?

Secret Power: Enoch can't use Secret Power, because his power isn't secret, it's really obvious. (Hint: his power is that he's on fire.)

Rollout: Enoch really likes rock, especially Medullica. He doesn't just Rollout - he Rock'n'Rollouts, which doesn't actually make any difference in terms of damage or anything, but it's a matter of principle. A lot of people don't take this move seriously, but you know what Led Zep say about being a rock and not rolling. (Actually, I never figured out what that line meant, but the guitar solo is awesome.)

OOPS I SHOULD DO THIS

[L'Arc-en-Ciel] Togekiss (Male) <Serene Grace>
Signature Move:
Arc of Joyous Colours

Body Modification: Delta Augmentation - Draco

A long time ago, Asber was a very different place. It was a simpler place, less of this fancy computerization and automated doodads and such. But it was also a bit more...prone to experimentation, as the Delta Augmentations were anything to go by. A small shop offering to make one's Pokemon...different was one of the old Asber's features, making them into Delta Pokemon. There are now very few of these Delta Pokemon left in Asber after the Great Destruction a time ago.

L'Arc was one of the Pokemon given a Delta Type, and one of the last remaining, his Normal type stripped away and Draconic energy pumped into his body in its stead, altering his type-DNA permanently. This took a number of his normal moves away, replacing them with powerful weapons of the ancient Dragon type.

Effects: L'Arc-En-Ciel is a Dragon/Flying type. He gains and loses the following moves:

- Baton Pass, Last Resort, Double-Edge, After You, Endeavour, Giga Impact, Natural Gift
+ Draco Meteor, Dragon Pulse, Dragon Dance, Twister, Dragonbreath, Dual Chop

(for the curious, Negrek told me to update his old body mod from the old forums to the new format, so that's what this is, plus a gen5 update UuU)

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

body mod submission!

[Puff] drifloon (f) <Unburden>

Body modification: "I'm the best there is at what I do."

It is well-established that the drifloon line of pokémontypically have one of two abilities, referred to as "Aftermath" and "Unburden" by cataloguers and researchers. In Asber, however, there are surprisingly few drifloon and drifblim with the latter ability -- indeed, it would seem that, of all registered drifloon and drifblim in Asber, she is the only one identified as having the Unburden ability.

Puff is quite proud of this fact; this conjunction of species and ability would alone place her tied, with any electrode, in her place among the world's fastest pokémon, behind only the (admittedly numerous) accelgor and (sometimes) her teammate Pinch. This does not satisfy her, however; even second place, after all, is for losers, so it would be absolutely disgraceful to be anything less than the best at what one is best at. The only place worth placing is first.

It is for that reason that Puff set out to become the fastest; and through rigorous training and by discarding everything which serves no purpose, Puff has allowed herself to become supremely fast. Puff is perhaps overzealous with regard to speed, however, often discounting slower-acting strategy as useless; and her view of what serves no purpose does not leave much space for defensive padding.

Effects: As long as Puff does not hold an item, her base speed is tripled instead of doubled by the ability Unburden. Puff's Defense and Special Defense are reduced by one stage when in their base state.

Puff loses the ability to use the moves Constrict, Endure, Focus Energy, Gyro Ball, Natural Gift, Payback, Recycle, Rollout; and gains the ability to use the moves Automotize and Quick Attack.

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

Upon evolution, updating:

Mal (Electabuzz) <Static>
Move Mod: Triboelectric Effect
Description: "The triboelectric effect (also known as triboelectric charging) is a type of contact electrification in which certain materials become electrically charged after they come into contact with another different material and are then separated (such as through rubbing). The polarity and strength of the charges produced differ according to the materials, surface roughness, temperature, strain, and other properties."

Mal is fascinated with the science of electricity and enjoys practicing and manipulating the energies in any way he can. Through this he has learned to employ it in an interesting way. He charges himself to the point where he cannot contain the electricity anymore and then launches at his opponent with maximum speed. Though the impact is light, it's so fast that it's nearly unavoidable and the electricity stored is so hot it leaves bright scorch marks where the opponent was hit.
Type: Electric / Power: 5% / Energy: 4% / Accuracy: 100% / Target: Single / Duration: One action
Effects: Priority +1. 40% of burn.
Usage Gap: Every 3 rounds

New signature move for Wrinklefucker time!

Wrinklefucker (Skarmory) < Keen Eye >

Signature Move: Ancestral Awakening.

See, this Skarmory has a very... interesting past. It has come from a family of Skarmory with the sharpest, platinum wings out in the history of Asber. A great ancestor of Wrinklefucker sought out legendaries, challenging them until he could fight no more. The ancestor found a mate, and created a family to which this Skarmory is from. W.F does not have the sharp, hard wings of it's family, though. But this won't stop him from following in his ancestor's footsteps. His father has taught him an ancient chanting that can boost much more than W.F's hope of being amazing like the ancestor.

Type: Psychic
Stat: 2+ attack and defense, -2 Speed
Target: Itself
Energy: 10% (can raise to 15 if too little)
Duration: Two rounds.

Effects: Wrinklefucker gains a boost in attack and defense due to having the best quality wings in the skarmory race. It also gets heavier, though, for a lowered two speed. Even after the 2 rounds is up, the speed decrease lingers but lowers itself to -1.

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

further characterizing Puff as TOTALLY SERIOUS ABOUT EVERYTHING.

[Puff] drifloon (f) <Unburden>

Drifloon are not really tricksters; there isn't much point in trickery when you're floating aimlessly somewhere in the middle of nowhere, after all. Drifloon working with trainers often pick up a bit of what their ghostly nature makes trivial, but little more.

Naturally, then, if some half of your teammates are almost archetypal tricksters, you're in for some "fun" -- for them, at least. Puff does not find that fun. (Puff does not find much fun in anything, really.) Thus, Puff would prefer that others stop having their fun.

Turns out that ruining others' fun is quite useful in a battle.

Move modification: Stop Having Fun!

Type: Ghost / Stat: other / Energy: 6% / Accuracy: -- / Target: single / Duration: three actions.

This move can only be used (out of turn) when another pokémon attempts to use a move, and cannot be used if Puff has already performed a move this action. The execution of that pokémon's move is negated, and Puff foregoes the action she would have otherwise taken. For the next three actions or until Puff leaves the field, no pokémon can use the negated move.

This effect of this move can be blocked by Detect and Protect, and reflected by Magic Coat, if the execution is not negated by this move. The effect of this move is blocked by Quick Guard as if it were a priority move. The effect of this move ignores Substitute.

Usage Gap: one action after the end of all effects.

EDIT: move mod (mimic) from altoram, I can replace that with a sig move when I manage to get a sig move approved, right?

WHOOPS MORE STUFF

[Radzim] Archen (Male) <Defeatist> ( --> <Rattled>)
Body Mod: The Most Nervous Archen in All the World

Radzim is a particularly nervous little creature, more so than most Pokemon are known to be, always shivering or looking around to make sure nothing want to hurt him. This nervousness even overrides his kind's normal defeatist attitudes, effectively changing his ability to Rattled. He is also more easy to scare or surprise, so the following attacks will be more effective against him, either reducing his stats by one more domain, doing 1% more damage, being 10% more likely to cause Flinching, or inflicting a more severe status effect:

-Fake Out
-Leer
-Glare
-Beat Up
-Foul Play
-Hyper Voice
-Astonish
-Knock Off
-Punishment
-Pursuit
-Shadow Punch
-Shadow Sneak

But, for each time he is hit with one of the above attacks, he wants to get away from the user as fast and as soon as possible, raising his Speed by one stage.

Effects: Radzim's ability is changed to Rattled. He is effected more by certain moves, in exchange for a Speed boost when hit with one.

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

Dear God there is quite the backup here.

Hmm... Tough call, this one. It should be approvable in terms of balance, but no usage gap is generally frowned upon; a two round usage gap should be fine, and you can lower that when Stuxnet evolves.

As my beloved GLaDOS has attained her final evolution, it's time to update her sigstuff!

[GLaDOS] Porygon-Z (X) <Download>

Approved.

-----

:s

In the effects, do you mean that the opponent attacks last on the /next/ action? Also, do Mintleaf's defenses lower only on the action she is chewing a hunk out of herself?

New signature move for Wrinklefucker time!

Wrinklefucker (Skarmory) < Keen Eye >

Signature Move: Ancestral Awakening.

See, this Skarmory has a very... interesting past. It has come from a family of Skarmory with the sharpest, platinum wings out in the history of Asber. First of all, you are missing a usage gap. The energy can actually be lowered - going by Negrek's scale, you could get away with making the energy 5~6% or so. However, the backstory is a bit... lacking, shall we say. You even said that WF does not have the wings of his ancestors in the backstory; however, in the effects, you said that he has the best wings in the Skarmory race. I'd probably stick with the whole honouring-ancestors-chant thingy, though you might want to add a blurb about why it increases defense as well.

further characterizing Puff as TOTALLY SERIOUS ABOUT EVERYTHING.

EDIT: move mod (mimic) from altoram, I can replace that with a sig move when I manage to get a sig move approved, right?

Iii dunno about that last question; you'll have to ask Negrek about it.
Seems okay, except for the usage gap - constantly banning moves would give you a huge upper hand, there. Make the usage gap say... three rounds?

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

...do we get paid for this?
amaterasusprite.png

Pretty sure the problems with this were fixed, so all good and approved.

Four conditionals is incredibly useful, especially with the "figuring out contradictions" thing. You'll need maybe a few drawbacks; those already present and maybe a little more would be acceptable for Kirlia. Not approved for now.

Slight problems with backstory aside, +8 total stages just from staying in a large area is edging on overpowered. Also, if Scylla would jump into water to avoid an attack, why wouldn't she jump on land? Work on the effects a little, but not approved for now.

Tentatively approved; could another approver take a look at this, though?

Approved, with a few nitpicks: does Environmentalist still go into Green Rage if he makes his foe drop its item? Acid Armor doesn't cause Pokémon to turn into a liquid; it covers them with a slime-type thing.
electric_solosis_by_lordofthefireflies-d4bh9ve.gif

Nemo – male
<Magic Guard>

On the other hand, he gains access to the moves Charge Beam, Thunderbolt and Spark.
blah wall of text

Approved, but to clarify, Nemo is now a Psychic/Electric type, right?

"[...] and on the day that the angels of Hell sing of death and despair,
and Man, awestruck, sees them raise their axes to the skies,
and Man weeps not but praises his executioners;
then shall the Third-born Son reveal himself to the world,
and then shall the Great Flame come over him,
and he shall be the One Protector of the world,
until the end of times.

What.

Most of the move alterations are "negative" and balance out, so approved. But that's a creative backstory.

Not quite sure how a Togekiss uses Dual Chop, but stranger things have happened in Pokémon. Approved.

Hesitant at the "tripling speed" thing; maybe lower it /slightly/? Autotomize is mostly limited to Steel-types and Vanillite, but I suppose the A&A guide description and Drifloon's body allow for it. Tentatively approved.
[Radzim] Archen (Male) <Defeatist> ( --> <Rattled>)

*affected in the effects

Defeatist helps check Archen and Archeops rather well, but I suppose they're not as powerful in ASB. Just checking, he gets the Speed boost from Bug-, Ghost-, and Dark-type moves along with the moves listed, but the specific moves have special effects, right? Approved.

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

Whether or not that was true, she became very bad with people, and also terrible with doing much other than thinking "BUT WAIT WHAT IF THE OPPONENT DID THIS THEN I'D DIE".

Effects: Ma'at can understand and act on up to four conditionals without the typical drawbacks of such (misunderstandings, failure to act, etc.); however, she will become just as confused as any other pokemon if she is given five.

Due to her social incompetence she cannot use the moves growl, round, echoed voice, swagger (well, it honestly just looks really pathetic when she does), helping hand, heal pulse, charm, captivate, or attract. She will not get the attack or special attack boost from flatter or swagger as well (due to the fact she will overthink the opponent's action to the point of confusion; she won't take the act itself at face value). She has an inherent -2 speed, and cannot go above +4; she spends all that time thinking things over logically if you would accept that answer.

---

I removed the thing about contradictions, added the inherent -2 speed and also removed growl, round and echoed voice; is it good now?
