Arena: Third Anomaly
The Third Anomaly is, as its name suggests, an Anomaly. Arceus only knows how the battlers got there or how they'll get out, but such is the way of the universe. Also unknown is how anyone can see, being as there are no visible light sources, but it is as bright as a typical midsummers midday. It is, at least to begin with, an infinitely large plain white platform floating in nothing. As the battle goes on, however, that platform changes to whatever is required by the battle - if, for example, there is a fish Pokémon on the field, there will be a large pond to swim in. There will be air for everyone can breathe. If Sandstorm is used, sand appears. And so forth. The gravity there is only half of Earth's, so each Pokémon is only half as heavy for things like Grass Knot. This also removes any energy cost that Flyers or Hoverers would need to fly or hover, be they Inherently or Consentually.

The most important effect of this Anomaly is that at the end of each round, both Pokémon in battle will have their moveset and ability replaced with that of another Pokémon. This can be any Pokémon in existence, including Legendaries. Also, the Pokémon are dazed and confused after this change, so as soon as the first round is complete and the first change has taken place, the Pokémon can't listen to any commands and their moves are selected randomly, similar to Sleep Talk.

Another of the major effects of the Third Anomaly is that at the end of every round, at the same time as the changes, both battlers' energy is restored to 100%. Not infinite energy, note, so if a Pokémon uses incredibly energy-intensive moves, it could, at least in theory, faint from energy loss. As though to compensate for this, if a healing move is used, it will fail.

The last effect of note is that at the beginning of every third round, a random object will appear. Any object, from sardines to submarines, and they can appear in any manner the ref wants. What they do is also entirely up to the ref. They vanish at the end of the round, again in a manner of the ref's choosing.
Arena status: A moon hovers upon the skies of the Anomaly. The genie has gone away to roam free.

-----

The nice genie would surely be missed by the battlers. It was so pleasant to not be swindled into wishing something horrible for a change! They all knew freeing it was the right thing to do, however.

Trogloxene jump-started the match by whipping up a righteous heavy metal fury, unloading a fierce, two-handed attack upside the opponent's head. It was a savage scene; it actually left a dent across the target's head as he collapsed, barely conscious for a few moments.

When God recovered, it was his opponent's turn to require any manner of recovery, as the tiresome manouver understandably would tire out even the most brutal. Taking the timeout as an opportunity to make preparations, he started to slash at the tips of his own armblades, filing them. The next few attacks would be certain to sting, for sure.

The formerly Deino was still not about to let the metal references stop, however. With a deep breath, she charged straight at the distracted foe, pummeling him to the ground with her body, as well as an additional force provided by pure hardcore. For whatever reason, however -- poor execution, perhaps? -- the move hardly did any damage.

It did, however, seem to have the effect of encouraging a duel of hurling charges. The Pawniard took position, then leapt in a circular direction, smashing his backside against the enemy's face. That noticeably caused a part of the "helmet" to bend inwards, providing a sensitive spot which could be struck for massive damage on future occasions.

Answering the call of junk competition, Trogloxene attempted a spectacular one-up, burning in green-blue flames as she dove bottomfirst towards the opponent. However, understandably for somebody who's attempting to attack without looking, she shot a fair deal above the target, missing him completely.

Instead of mocking her hysterically, however, God tried to cheer her up, patting her on the shoulder (taking as much care as possible to prevent it from turning into a slash). It was a heartwarming gesture, one that wouldn't be forgotten soon.

It was still ongoing when the Third Anomaly again shone. After it was done, RK-9's Pokémon was surprised to find that his patting, no matter how careful, caused thin layers of his opponent's skin to flake off. Also, all of a sudden, she smelled terrible. He backed away, and all of a sudden, he felt stranded and alone. Searching for someone, he started to emit noisy calls, much to the annoyance of all.

-----

Usually, you expect decisive, low-health attitudes to be intense and thrilling. Instead, the battlers offended all noses and ears within range as they prepared to settle which of them would rise victorious, only to get kicked on the ass by the next sendout.

Trogloxene was apparently not quite through with the war on bottoms. As soon as the sixth round began, she went for another slam, this time leaping high up and crashing with meteoric, audible impact.

It hurt a lot, but God had no time for the arms (backsides?) race. He could feel that the others (whoever they were) were around, and that all he needed to do was signal. And what better way of doing so than setting the goddamn moon on fire? Which he did, with a surge of energy.

And suddenly, now the arena was not merely stinky and noisy, but also, hot as hell.

And it was at that moment that Trogloxene decided to up the ante on the former of these, releasing an even more obscene smell -- even visible, in the form of a purple cloud of smoke. It surrounded her opponent, and then proceeded to do nothing to it. The only victims of the attack were the trainers and referees, whose noses remained tightly pinched throughout the process.

When it petered out, God, realizing that the others were definitively not coming, in spite of the signal. And so, he prepared to fight back desperately. He took off, wiggling his arms as though to take flight (the lowered gravity helped out a lot in that aspect), then came crashing down, glowing with Flying-type energy.

There was a highly audible crash as the Brave Bird attack landed. After it happened, Trogloxene could no longer remain transformed, and shifted back to her normal form, fainted and bleeding from the chest. However, God also lost consciousness in the process, sporting a serious crack on his helmet. The two were recalled.

And then a massive clock tower sprouted from the ground of the Anomaly. Oh, look, almost 6 PM.

The bells of the clock tower rung as as the hour hand stopped at 6 PM. Their soothing tune was perfectly suitable for a new beggining, which the battle was going through.

Poseidon -- a bit miffed over having a man nickname -- was having a bit of trouble wrapping her head around the commands. What was that first one? Grunge? Was the plan actually to go AN ALBINO, A MOSQUITTO, A LIBIDO? Not quite willing to believe that, she settled for the other one. She twisted and coiled into and out of the pool, splashing plently of water into everything as she awakened the Dragon-type powers.

The display furthermore cemented the enormous Gyarados' intimidating look. Despite being utterly daunted, however, Terubōzu was given orders that could be carried out from a distance, which was so much the better. With a surge of Electric-type energy, the Shuppet fired a straight, potent bolt.

Having elecricity as a main weakness, the atrocious Pokémon was in more trouble than somebody who got Focus Punched when the Thunderbolt landed. The voltage easily spread around in the water around her, as well as the plentiful water inside her.

After seeing the opponent get so thoroughly fried, the puppet Pokémon was slightly less frightened. Figuring she could keep doing that, she did so, for the rest of the round.

In between the tasering, Poseidon manage to continue doing the Dragon Dance. By the end of round, she managed to restore the intimidation by looking really, really pissed about all that electricity, and ready to do something about it.

Just then, however, amazing the two Pokémon out but none of the humans, the monochrome floor of the Third Anomaly glew brightly, messing around with the battlers' powers. The Gyarados was suddenly overcome with the purest evil, and also felt his mind shatter into over a hundred fragments. Her opponent, meanwhile, suddenly felt unfamiliar with everything.

-----

As with the previous battlers, the two Pokémon at the field could no longer sensibly be commanded, succumbing to the new powers which barely had any control over.

Poseidon promptly attempted to lead aggressively, a pillar of stone rising up from nothing and crunching on her opponent and leaving her tightly trapped. The excessive energy flowing through the Gyarados made the usually moderate-to-weak attack savage and remarkably painful, delivering evil laughter all the way through.

Still, Terubōzu was not very daunted -- not much more than she had already been, anyhow -- and carefully analyzed the formation she was being clamped by, before looking straight into her foe's eyes and letting rip a positively retina-burning flash of light from hers. This planet's species had to be domesticated in order to be properly studied, it seemed.

The atrocious Pokémon's eyes remained shut tightly, trying to recover from the harsh light-related incident. Instead of using them, she tried to let her mind guide her. Unfortunately, it was hard to go anywhere when you feel as though your mind is actuall a hundred and eight minds. As such, she tried to set them all to a certain mindframe... And what better standard to use for that than that which was right in front of her? With a session of self-hypnotism, she let the overflowing draconic force ebb away, adopting the emotions of fright and entrapment from her enemy. By the time it was over, somehow, her eyesight was right back to normal.

Having hypnotized herself successfully, she took the next logical step: try to hypnotize the enemy. She locked eyes with her opponent, making distracting motions with her barbels, and emitted a psychic wave. The Shuppet's colorful eyes briefly drooped... Only to immediately throw back open. Earlier, she had set up a veil of energy to prevent just that sort of move.

Taking a somewhat overzealous step to stop Hypnosis from happening, the puppet Pokémon tried to get into her foe's mind, seeking to block off that attack. However, she quickly became lost among the hundred-strong mass of different, yet equalized minds, and failed the procedure.

At that point, the Third Anomaly shone again. Poseidon started to swim around her pool, in a way that was vastly different from a Gyarados' typical; the movements were graceful, yet powerful and speedy. Meanwhile, Terubōzu exploded with inexplicable rage, making a powerful effort to break free from the rocky emprisonment (enough effort that her movement was still hindered once she got off) and having to be physically held by the referee and her trainer in order to not violate rules regarding not attacking amidst rounds.
