THIS IS HOW WE BLEED
It was a nice day.
The sun had come up only a scant hour ago, and there was still dew fresh on the leaves of Yuuka's garden and the grass around the houses. Yuuka had been up for 45 minutes already, and was sitting in her front window with a cup of tea cradled in her lap. She had a green bathrobe pulled around her rather small body, and a pillow under her, to make the windowsill more comfortable.
She toyed with the thought of going out to tend to her garden, the early spring air was so nice and cool and refreshing. Perhaps she would talk to someone new today. She felt like today was a day one would be able to give many thanks for, a day of new beginnings.
She glanced at the clock. It was about 7:30, and her papa wasn't awake yet. Sleepyhead. He was always up so late...
---
Ishvara was outside already. He was dressed in his white track suit, and was leaning on a lamppost outside the local coffee shop that Ming liked her hot chocolate to be bought from every mourning, bless her little soul. He shut his eyes, taking in the sound of the waves crashing on the beach not too far from where he stood now, and smiled. Such a nice place. He quite enjoyed waiting in the cool air for the half-hour between when he finished his jog and the coffee shop opened, it gave him a chance to think.
He felt a slight nagging thought bubble up in the back of his head, a strange feeling that...something was going to happen. His smile widened. He loved it when things were going to happen. It was rare for him not to be in control of a situation, so he quite enjoyed the times when he wasn't.
The Alpha Pokemon in disguise opened his eyes and scanned the cobblestone streets around him.
