Pentimento: why are there no pirates in that arena. Pirates should totally come out and attack the pokémon. Why is this not so.

4 on 4 double
Damage Cap: None
DQ: 7 days
Banned Pokémon: Anything that is not fully evolved (Blaziken and Pinsir are fine; Torchic, Combusken and Scyther are not)
Banned/restricted moves: direct healing, chilling, OHKOs, Perish Song, Destiny Bond, sleep-inducing moves, anything that requires keeping focus or a cool head (see description)

Arena: Doctor Kaminko's Experimental Stadium, Arena #44

Any claims that Doctor Kaminko does not test his Pokémon-related inventions before revealing them to the public (a public that is obviously too simple to appreciate their sheer genius) are, of course, entirely false. In fact, the Doctor has a dedicated space beneath his secret laboratory for just this purpose--his experimental stadium. At first glance it appears to be a fairly plain arena, with the standard clay floor, small pool for water-types and a weather generator that will respond to any weather-inducing commands. A few button presses and switch flips, however, and the Doctor can produce anything from a plethora of his newest battle-based creations to make things more... interesting. Kaminko regularly invites trainers down to his facility to help him test his new experiments, assuring them that of course their Pokémon will be perfectly safe and that of course there will be ample compensation for their time. Most of the Orrean trainers know better than to take his claims at face value, but there's no reason for a few gullible eager outsiders not to trust him, right? Besides! Shiny new toys! Who could possibly resist!

The arena that Kaminko has chosen for today's battle, number forty-four out of sixty-three, is fairly simple as his bizarre challenges go. The battlefield itself does not change much when he activates it, forgoing #3's Poké-Poles™ falling from the ceiling and #61's small herd of Tauros sporting his Pokémon Mood-Altering Keclenses™ (currently stuck on angry red) for wide, open space. The battlers are going to need plenty of room and minimal distractions, after all--with all the energy they'll have to burn, they'd probably tear something down if they were in a smaller space. For today, all Pokémon involved will be wearing Kaminko's new Ever-Energy Adrenapacks™.

The Adrenapacks provide each Pokémon with literally unlimited energy, allowing them to attack with abandon and without fear of exhausting themselves. The experiment is intended to see what Pokémon are capable of doing when allowed to battle on and on without interruption, but perhaps the Adrenapacks give the Pokémon a little too much juice. They are prone to releasing extra surges of energy that can actually harm the Pokémon wearing them, causing 3% typeless damage to each Pokémon at the end of each round and escalating to 5%/round if their health is below 33%. Additionally, the constant influx of energy makes the battlers incredibly nervous and restless, preventing them from focusing on moves that rely on calming down or relaxing (i.e. calm mind, amnesia), being lulled into complacency (i.e. attract, flatter, charm) or falling asleep.

et cetera.

Same rules I used against Blazhy; if you wanted something different (single battle, different number of pokémon, whatever), just say so.

I'll ref this then, when Dwagie takes it. (And pirates are too much effort shush.) Also what is the percentage-chance of the 3% typeless energy overflow-thing happening each round?

Thanks. And no percentage chance--it happens to all pokémon at the end of every single round (and goes up to 5% when they hit 32% health or less).

pirates are never too much effort they're pirates

And now, a very special battle, starring me and Flareth.

DQ: Standard week
Damage Cap: 40%
Banned Moves: OHKO's, weather moves
Arena: The X-man’s Bathroom Which Is Inexplicably Connected To Winfred Lauder And A CBS Studio

A classy-looking suit, stark white skin, jet black hair, slitted eyes and two pairs of wings, and… a definite aura of evil. The man sitting on that throne demands to know what the two trainers and the referee are doing in his throne room, sending chills up the spines of those who hear the voice, and they make a break for the nearest door.

That door was to his bathroom…or so it seems. It’s a fairly large bathroom. The floors are granite, the various pillars are marble, and the ceiling is about 30 feet up. Rather extravagant for just a bathroom…but it‘s not just a bathroom. To the left, there‘s… a big section of the wall removed? The opening is 30 feet wide, and as high as the ceiling of your average business room. It leads into an office building, you see, with a large woman in a massive amount of makeup sitting at a desk outside an office door. That one swings open, and a dark-haired man barges out and nearly walks into a fat man wearing thick glasses. Then on the right, you see… the edge of a stage? And what looks like the set of a late-night talk show. There’s another man on that stage, cussing and letting off witticisms about the day’s events in a very… Scottish accent. It looks as if they’re filming right now, and it doesn’t appear that the Scottish man has noticed this odd happening yet.

The whole setup is about 150 feet around. In the bathroom section, there are places to keep a Water-type Pokemon, including the large tub, the gold-plated toilet, and the sink. The office section offers desks and cubicles to destroy, and the stage section offers properly solid ground for Dig and Earthquake, as well as a higher ceiling for Flying-types.

Every round, there is a 5% chance that the throne-sitting villain will wonder just what’s going on in there and come in to investigate, and be so startled by the sight of a full-on battle that he’ll chuck something at one of the Pokemon in shock, causing 3% untyped damage.
There is also a 5% chance that one of the Pokemon will knock a bottle of painkillers out of the medicine cabinet and take them, regaining 5-8% Health.

There is a 10% chance every round that the dark-haired English boss man or the large secretary from the office building section will walk in, carrying with him a 50% chance that one of the Pokemon will get too close and he or she will kick them away, causing 5% untyped damage.
There is also a 10% chance that the large man with glasses will come in through that same entryway and accidentally drop a mug of coffee in surprise upon seeing the bathroom transfigured with a battle going on. Drinking this restores 10% Energy.

And again, there’s a 10% chance the Scottish man will turn around from either his seat at his Talk Show Desk or from the front of the stage and actually bother to notice the oddities in the studio today and the big ol’ battle, get scared, and throw his rattlesnake mug at a battler, causing 5% untyped damage.

Because all three of these sections are indoors, weather moves will not have an effect.

2 vs 2 Double Battle
Damage Cap:
50%
DQ: 7 days
Pokemon Restrictions: Dex Registry Pokemon only (Enculli, Spraylet, Myrid, Tsuki, Sheebit, Rasqueon, Skelitten, Cappun, Babydrake, Sabitten, Kitora, Alrunnik, Dragomelet, Wyrmal, Hennic, and any Evolutions of such)
Banned/restricted moves: OHKO's

Arena: The Battledome

The Battledome is the place to go for combat in Neopia, a gigantic arena of metal and concrete, the most high-tech building this side of Virtupets. It's relatively simple in it's normal state; a 100-foot in diameter steel arena of circular shape, with a large pond in the centre for those bound to water.

But the Battledome will change it's appearance and location every round, and is completely random what it becomes. The choices and changes are these:

Stone Dome: Located in the Haunted Woods, the Stone Dome is open to the sky, and surrounded by ancient trees and a starry sky, the moon covered by clouds. The pond has become a murky black and filled with weeds. This arena grants a 3% boost to all Dark- and Ghost-type attacks, and a 2% Energy decrease for the same.

Ice Arena: Located on Terror Mountain, the Ice Arena is completely enclosed in a glittering layer of ice so cold that is cannot be melted. The pond has frozen over, and the air is chilled to the negatives. This arena grants a 3% boost to Ice attacks and a 2% energy reduction to the same.

Island Arena: Located on Mystery Island, the Island Arena isn't much more than a cleared-out section of jungle, the floor made of dirt and grass rather than metal. The pond is a pure sparkling blue here. This arena grants a 3% boost to Grass- and Bug-type attacks and a 2% energy reduction to the same.

Space Arena: Located in the Virtupets Space Station, the Space Arena is completely clear, allowing the battlers to see the stars around them, the moon, and Neopia below. Gazing out at the world below them will cause the Pokemon to become Intimidated as per the Ability.

Water Arena: Located in Maraqua under the sea, the Water Arena is, as it's name would suggest, completely filled with water. All non water-breathers will find their heads (or whatever they use to breath) surrounded by a magical bubble that allows them to breath. This arena makes all Fire Attacks completely useless and cuts all non-swimmer's speed by 2.

Tyrannian Arena: Located in the prehistoric Tyrannia, the Tyrannian Arena is a primitively-cut stone on a large plateau. This arena has a hazard; a massive Pterodactyl has a 25% chance of appearing on the second action of the round and attacking both battlers for 5% untyped damage. This Arena also grants a 3% increase to Rock attacks, and a 2% energy reduction to the same.

Battledome: The arena described at the top; has no special benefits.

Guess I'll take Chaon vs superbird since Chaon's match with [O] doesn't look like it's gonna get off the ground.

Format: 2vs2 Single
Style: Switch
DQ: 1 week
Damage Cap: 30%
Banned Moves: OHKO's, 4 chills per Pokemon, direct healing moves, weather related moves and flying are under certain restrictions due to the arena.
Arena: The Weather Stadium
The weather stadium is a large arena used mainly for sports, but pokemon battles have also been known to occur there. The roof can be pulled back to let sunlight in, or it can be left closed. But right now, the mechanisms for the roof are going haywire, and as such, the stadium's workers have no way of controlling the opening and closing of the roof. Every round, there is a 20% chance of the roof opening, or if it is open, 20% chance of it closing again. Any move related to the weather, including Twister and Thunder, may only be used when the roof is open. When the roof is closed, the moves Fly and Bounce are also prohibited, and Pokemon that can fly without using the move may only fly 5 feet higher than their trainers heads.

I hope the arena isn't too complicated. I get very complicated ideas at random times.

Apparently my name appearing three times on the waiting challenges board isn't enough, so ARENAS AWAY!

The Haunted Room:
2 vs. 2 Single
Damage Cap: 30%
DQ time: 1 week
Style: Set
Banned: OHKOs, Direct Heal, Toxic, Evasion Boosts
Arena: A dark room in a haunted house. Infested with ghosts. Ghost attack damage is multiplied by 1.2 after all other factors similar to holding a spooky plate. Now, those ghosts in the background don't just sit making daisy chains, so every round there is:

-10% chance of will-o-wisp. This being a classic will-o-wisp, it will distract one Pokemon chosen at random for two actions, causing 4% ghost-type damage at the end of those actions.
-10% chance of a hypnosis wave. This will cause one pokemon chosen at random to fall asleep.
-15% chance of poltergeist. A ghost animates a random object and throws it. 50% chance of hitting on each pokemon, which will cause 12% Normal-type damage.
-5% chance of possession. A random Pokemon on the field will be possessed by the ghost and the ref can make it do whatever the heck he wants for a round (the macarena is recommended at least once during the battle)
-10% chance of warping the field. A random field effect will come into play (Options: Gravity, Trick Room, Fog, Hail, Sandstorm, Rain, Sun) for two round. (Yes it can stack, if this effect happens twice in a row it can be sunny and rainy)
-And, of course, 50% chance that they don't do anything.
AAAAH! Oh it's only a profile OK

EDIT: I exceeded the challenge limit so this is temporarily on hold.
