With nothing but marsh as far as the eye can see, pokemon should stay on the walking path to avoid getting soaked. Thankfully, the wooden bridge here is not only elevated, but wide and sturdy enough to support even the largest of pokemon. Perhaps predictably, many water's edge pokemon reside here. The river that cuts through the Marshlands is vast and extremely rough and fast moving. Only the most experienced of swimmers can brave its wicked current.

Round 6 Begin!

Beginning the round, Mal quickly generates a small burst of electricity, which he launches at Cragon, briefly illuminating him; as before, his muscles lock in place when he attempts to move. Instead of fighting it, Cragon opts to rest and recover; he slowly stills, allowing his body's natural healing processes to begin taking place.

Mal rushes forwards, lifting the not-struggling Cragon over his head; he then runs to the other side of the bridge - away from the Azumarill - and hurls him as far as he can manage. He is rewarded by a large splash very far in that direction, whereupon the golden shimmer immediately begins heading in that direction.

Mal himself decides to rest and recover also, leaning against the post that he was standing next to and allowing his energy-recovery to go into overdrive, all while the golden Azumarill - with the aid of the river's flow - returns the non-struggling Cragon to the bridge. When she successfully does so, Cragon hops onto the bridge and then continues to remain motionless, and several minutes after that the round finally draws to a close.

Round 7 Begin!

Swinging his arms in wild circles, Mal begins sparkling and sparking, suddenly releasing a blast of electricity, imbuned with some of his own life energy, which stops at a certain point, as though there was a wall in midair. The electricity builds up into a glowing, fizzing orb, and Mal stops pumping energy into it, watching as it slowly takes form, growing antennae, arms, and legs, then lowering itself gently to the ground. The intense golden glow it is giving off slowly fades, leaving a perfect, if occasionally sparking, Elekid clone, which immediately springs into action, taking its place in front of Mal. Cragon, having been watching the process in awe, finally begins his own move, gathering various chemicals from areas of his body and gathering them into his mouth, where they merge into a horrible, foul-tasting purple slime. He shudders at the taste, then spits it at Mal's sparkly clone, which it hits. The impact is marked by a loud KRRRZAP sound and a blinding flash of light; when it fades and the spots on the battlers' eyes fade, there is no sign of the foul stuff. It must have vaporised itself on impact, thinks Squornshellous, looking to see if something similar is documented in the Guide.

Mal begins his next move, clenching his fist and channeling energy into it, marked by a very faint glow. Cragon tries his Toxic again, shuddering at the foul taste; once again, it evaporates on contact with the clone. When the Dragomelet's vision returns, Mal is barrelling down on him with an intensely glowing fist; the Elekid punches hard, launching the Dragomelet straight backwards. He is thrown backwards, and straight into the gap between two posts; he falls into the river with a quiet plish, and almost immediately the Azumarill begins making her way towards the splash-site.

Both Mal and Cragon spend the next few minutes virtually motionless, allowing their bodies to recover energy; Cragon, of course, has the added interest of being in a bubble for most of that time, until, right at the end of the recovery process, he reaches the bank. He hops slowly onto the bridge and, dripping, glares at his opponent and the sparkling clone.

You know, I think the paralysis thing should affect Cragon's ability to chill. :[

Alright. Focus Punch again, unless he protects/detects, then Chill and move Focus Punch to the next action. If your sub is still intact, Chill until it dies. If your sub is dead and since he has no wide-spread attacks, Double Team for... let's say 4 clones, and if you have an action left, Charge Beam.

:/ Well, if we can't use Protect, then use a 10% Substitute. After that, use Rollout for both actions. If his Sub breaks though, use Sandstorm.

Round 8 Begin!

Safe behind his protective clone, Mal begins his attack, yet again clenching his fist and chanelling energy into it, the slight glow becoming evident immediately and increasing steadily. Cragon himself prepares to make his own clone, his eyes glowing bright white as a Dragomelet-sized, egg-shaped stone lifts itself out of the river and hurls itself onto the bridge, landing with a thump. It glows bright white for a brief second, then it jumps up and down in an imitation of Cragon's own movement. It seems to be excited, but this is to be short-lived - Mal hurtles towards it at massive speed, fist glowing brightly, and slams into it with massive force; it shatters immediately, the majority of it launched straight back into the river and what remains collapsing as a pile of rubble on the ground.

Leaving Cragon gaping, Mal returns to his own end of the bridge, sitting down and, yet again, allowing his recovery processes to work their magic, restoring his own energy. Cragon decides to avenge the death of his... um, rock, pulling himself into his egg and, straining against his stiff muscles, begins clumsily rolling towards Mal's clone, and when he rolls over the rubble, it sticks to his hide, leaving him an almost-perfect rocky sphere. He hurtles towards the sparkling Elekid, smashing straight through its arm and side in a shower of sparks, leaving a gaping hole in his wake; he continues rolling around and wheels back towards the clone, smashing through its other side and leaving it armless and with large parts of its sides missing. He finally slows down and then stops, the rubble on his skin falling away as he pokes his head and tail out of his shell once more. As the clone struggles to reform itself into a coherent shape and Mal gets back to his feet, the round draws to a close.

Round 9 Begin!

The only immediate sign that Mal is using an attack is that he sparkles very slightly, but what cannot be seen is that he is manipulating his electrical abilities to generate an electromagnetic field - well, cannot be seen until he flats into the air, calmly defying at least one law of physics, and floats out over the river. Cragon gapes wildly at him before beginning his own attack, once again tucking himself into his shell and then rolling around in a wide circle, picking up the debris surrounding him. He begins rolling, and when he has picked up enough speed he aims right at the sparkling and mangled Substitute clone, which he smashes straight through the middle of, a resounding ZAP sounding as the little remaining electricity dissipates.

Mal begins his next move, sparlking a little once again before he pumps out a massive blast of electricity, which forms into a solid sphere around him. Somehow. Look, I don't know, I'm just the narrator, alright? We're defying several laws of physics already, may as well add on one more. Whatever. Cragon knows that attacking the floating Mal won't go well, but his trainer has ordered it; he wheels around - away from Squornshellous Beta, who was trying to figure out which way to jump - and crashes straight through several of the fenceposts, hitting a lip at the edge of the bridge and launching into the air, straight over the encapsulated Mal and into the river, hurtling a respectable distance downstream before finally hitting the bottom, rolling along, hitting a bank and stopping, the debris falling off his hide.

Mal knows that his opponent won't be able to attack him, so he decides to relax; he lies down in midair, arms behind his head, and allows his energy to slowly replenish itself. Under the water, the golden Azumarill, yet again, hurtles upstream, encapsulates Cragon and begins swimming him upstream. When the several minutes this takes are up, Cragon hops back onto the bridge and Mal ceases his relaxing, idly somersaulting in midair.

Anyhow. Focus Punch whenever he doesn't attack - but only do so twice maximum. If he doesn't attack more than twice, just Chill. If he does attack, Light Screen, Chill and Charge Beam, in that order.

Round 10 Begin!

Mal is in something of a dilemma. His trainer has ordered him to use Focus Punch if Cragon doesn't attack, and since he is underwater he clearly won't be able to - but that same 'underwater' means that he won't be able to hit him with Focus Punch. Eventually he decides to go with the one command he can actually perform:he pumps out a jolt of electricity, and in almost identical manner to last round, it stops in midair, forming a second protective bubble just inside the first one. His job complete, Mal lies down in midair and puts his arms behind his head, relaxing.

The golden Azumarill finally returns Cragon to the shore of the river. Instead of bothering to return to the bridge, Cragon releases all of his remaining energy into the sky, collapsing forwards as the energy resolves into chunks of rock, which hurtle out of the sky burning with purple fire. They aim directly at Mal, but when they hit the shield several of them - about half, in fact - explode into purple smoke-puffs. The others pass through and explode on impact, causing Mal to flinch badly as Dave Stryder recalls the immobile Dragomelet.
