Arena: The Great Library
The Great Library is, as the name suggests, a large library. Very large, in fact. Roughly three Wailord long by three Wailord wide, and the roof appears to be infinitely high. The walls are lined with bookshelves, and in the very center there is a very large, decapitated frog statue, though it doesn't do much. There are also three treasure chests lying around, but they contain nothing of interest - a scarf, a hat and sunglasses. These items do nothing bar make the Pokémon's FASHION, MANGRIT or COOLNESS (respectively) go up. This has no effect. It does not take a full action to open these chests, so a Pokémon could be ordered to "open the chest and then use Water Pulse", for instance.

Now, these books are something special. A Pokémon can spend an action reading one in order to add three moves, randomly selected, to its movepool. This can occur up to twice, at which point the Pokémon has too much new knowledge. They are also very old, rare and valuable, so nothing can be used that will destroy the bookshelves. This is basically limited to burning or soaking them, since they are hardbacks and therefore resistant to force. Also for the love of Jebus please don't read the one with erotic fanservice about the queen
Arena status: A chunk was ripped off the ground.

-----

> SB: Employ combination attack to get rid of huge floor chunk.
> Karkat: Ride the commands like a mechanical Bulldoze.
> MF: Take about three weeks to ref this.

A futile wave of the flag signaled the next round's beggining.

Han Tang didn't find it very easy to go about starting its combo up. Nothing is easy when you're buried under an enormous floorpiece. When it finally managed to hijack the opponent's mind, it first took a moment to use it to survey the surroundings. It seems that Concrete Beater finally managed to beat down the concrete statue. Otherwise, nothing interesting to note there.

So, the second step began. For a brief moment, the Pokemon with a solid stone shell had the unusual experience of feeling her feet heft off the ground. She forcefully landed shortly thereafter, though, and all of a sudden, her foe could muster up enough momentum to lift up the heavy chunk, thus regaining flotation.

This was just as brief, though, as the chunk suddenly became heavier. Too much for the initial trick to remain operational. Little did the Bronzor know, what had just happened was that the Dwebble had just tossed a large piece of the now moreso than earlier dismantled statue over the floor chunk.

And thus, there was nothing that could be done against the attacks that followed. It was a merciless pounding through seismic force, one that hurt even more with all that weight jumping up and painfully down. By the time it was over, all the stuff pinning Han Tang down seemed even heavier.

For Metallica Fanboy, the futility expressed in the scenario seemed natural, almost appealing. Alas, being a Prospitan must really, really suck.

- Bashing the ground.

Concrete glares at her opponent and raises a tiny claw, slamming it down heavily into the library's floor. The shelves shake and so does Han Tang, shivering so much with the floor that it feels its heartbeat slowing, its entire mental process with it. But it's fast enough to grap Concrete, and she's suddenly thrown into the air and - though her gut tells her she's about to be tossed down again - she remains airborne, her gut instead shrinking painfully in her stomach, making her feel astonishingly sick. She struggles to free herself from Han Tang's mental grip, weakening the psychic attack, but she can't get loose - she remains airborne and in pain, to Han Tang's delight.

The attack doesn't end, it just gets slightly weaker as Concrete keeps struggling, more and more, wavering lower to the ground. Han Tang glowers and focuses harder on keeping the dwebble airborne, but it can't focus on doing damage at the same time, so Concrete is floating but not hurting as much - meaning she can focus on struggling out of Han Tang's grip even more. This makes the bronzor's life quite difficult, especially when Concrete finally breaks free of its grip and lands someone heavily on the floor, shaking the mental trauma from her.

Before Han Tang can stop her now, she slams a claw into the library's floor, sending another ripple towards the grounded bronzor. Han Tang lets out a metallic sort of cry, clearly not enjoying itself, but it lifts the dwebble into the air again, putting all its pain into Concrete, and the dwebble yelps as her gut seems to rise up into her throat, and she feels a sudden urge to be sick all over the library floor. The sick feelings stop, but leave an aftertaste in her mouth, and Han Tang drops the dwebble to the floor clumsily, clearly shaken - as is Concrete.

Final Notes:
- Han Tang isn't fast enough to have prevented the first bulldoze, unfortunately for it, but it did manage to keep Concrete lifted through the second action (t'was randomized).
- Because Han Tang spent some of the psychic energy to keep Concrete Beater lifted, and Concrete Beater didn't participate in that, on each action the psychic dealt less damage (first action it had 70 base damage, second 30 base damage, third 80 base damage).
- Concrete Beater only spent energy on the second action on struggling to get out of the psychic grip.
- Squorn next.

Dammit I continue to lose. If you can't attack it for any non-Sub reason, Iron Defense but still raise whatever if you were going to.

- "Buh, I'm about to be sick."

Concrete braces herself, knowing something is about to come, and she's right. Han tang's metallic body shimmers and the bronzor rolls forwards, and though it's slowed down considerably, it gains speed as it rolls until it slams powerfully into Concrete's shell with a heavy thud. Concrete holds her ground, and with a heavy slam of her claws releases the pent-up energy she'd taken from the attack, letting it all go back unto Han Tang twicefold. The bronzor squeaks in shock, rolling back away from the dwebble due to the impact and landing on its backside; it already was feeling pretty down, but just from this one attack it feels so much worse. Like it only has a bit left - maybe it can take two more hits like those... but it doesn't want to.

Concrete skitters away, running to one of a few fallen books and picking it up. She flips through the pages and feels the words running through her mind, though she can't quite understand what it says; it still feels like knowledge is being implanted within her, quite fast even, before she can really realize what's going on. She drops the book and scuttles away, shocked somehow and something, something she isn't too sure of, but she's not hurt or anything... not yet.

Han Tang intends to remedy that. The bronzor shimmers again and begins to roll, slowly, slowly picking up speed across the cracked floor. She rolls faster and faster and finally slams into Concrete, knocking the startled bug onto her side, and Han Tang slides down sideways too, but it's unhurt from the attack while Concrete looks pretty bruised. She's wondering if spending time reading is really the best idea.

But she has her order, and she wanders over to another book at random, picks it up and starts flipping through the pages. More words flicker across her mind, and she feels suddenly more knowledgeable - but even more uncomfortable, and strange. She shouldn't know these stuff. She throws the book away, a tad unhappy now, knowing weird and invasive things that she also knows are none of her business.

Completely unexpectedly, Han Tang slams into her back, tossing her forwards onto her face. Han Tang keeps rolling away while Concrete twitches in pain, getting slowly up; her face hurts and the repeated hits have left her feeling like crap. She turns to face the bronzor and vows to use her new knowledge for good - meaning, to make that bronzor hurt just as much as she is.

Concrete frowns wide, unsure how to use megahorn, but she rushes towards Han Tang with her pincers ready. She raises her right pincer, ready to slam it into Han Tang, but her aim goes wild and she slams instead into a book right next to the bronzor - who wasn't even moving, much to Concrete's shame. She lifts her pincer, shaking the remaining energy from it, and breathes heavily; that took a lot of energy to do and it didn't even hit.

Unfortunately she's so close now to Han Tang that when the bronzor shines and rolls back, there's no chance of it missing. It rolls forward and slams into Concrete's already smashed up shell, damaging it further, and the dweggle curls up tight, growing worse and worse in this battle. She wishes the bronzor would faint already so she could sleep...

Instead she raises her pincers again, preparing another strange megahorn. A green glow envelopes her right pincer and she slams it down on the bronzor this time, energy flowing from the pincer unto Han Tang's shiny armour, and a clear dent is made in Han Tang's body from the impact. Concrete backs away, shaking her pincer, clearly tired by the attack. It's not natural to her and she doesn't even like it, but she must admit it did work pretty well. Han Tang grunts from the attack, completely shocked by its power and brutality, barely having the strength to pull away and encoat itself in another layer of metal. But it does, and it rolls over into Concrete again, knocking the exhausted dwebble unto its side. Both pokemon look completely worn out, and it's a gamble which one will go down first.

Of course, it's mostly a matter of speed - and Concrete's got that one in the bag. The dwebble gets to her tired feet and stumbles towards Han Tang, pincer glowing green, and aims carefully before striking down. All the energy flows with the enormous impact of her fist, and another dent is made in Han Tang's poor tiny body; the bronzor can't take such pain any more, and its eyes flutter closed, overwhelmed. Concrete breathes a sigh of relief and stumbles back, away, crawling into her shell while Han Tang is returned to its pokeball in a flash of red - until a new pokemon is sent out, Concrete will rest.

Concrete draws into her shell and begins to charge energy from what little sun there is in the closed-up library; it'll take her a while, but she's got time... or so she hopes. She hasn't really, she's near fainted, but those thoughts don't really help. Still, she isn't distracted at all when Ni Wa lifts her up into the air; it's only went an intense, burning pain strikes deep into her mind that she starts to lose focus. Still, the green energy has already begun surrounding her, though there isn't much of it, and she bears through the pain and continues gathering the energy until there's quite enough to unleash it.

A thinnish, powerful beam erupts from the dwebble's shell, exploding on Ni Wa and tossing the baltoy into a bookshelf. Ni Wa shakes itself, shaking off tiny green sparkles of energy; that hurt quite a lot, actually. The energy dissipated quickly, since there wasn't that much gathered, but it was just the sort that cuts through Ni Wa's ground-type defenses. It cause the baltoy to lose focus just long enough to drop Concrete to the ground, too, and the dwebble bounced on its shell and crawls out, barely hanging on to dear life.

Concrete coughs and hacks, as if dying, but instead she crawls towards the floating baltoy and hacks up a clump of purplish, toxic goop. Ni Wa swirls away, rubbing the purplish liquid off, but it's already burnt into its nervous system - whatever it has for a nervous system - and it feels itself growing sick. It frowns and waves a hand towards Concrete, tossing it into the air and punishing it furiously, but it only takes a second before Concrete's eyes close; she's off to dreamland, unconscious. Ni Wa drops the dwebble again, annoyed, but at least rid of her.
