All three Trainers shout encouragement to their Pokemon, mixed with some good, clean, juvenile name calling. It's the standard orders that are issued, and the three exhausted Pokemon nod to their Trainers as they face off for what seems like it'll be the last round. By now, a few spectators have come out of the buildings around the Pokemon to see what all the explosions are about, a few heads peering out over the holes in buildings and such. The Togepi and two Cleffas lock eyes and freeze, caught in the suddenness of the moment, before Quicksilver breaks the spell of silence with a flourish of hands.
The Togepi waves her hands about in the air, before finding a familiar rhythm and moving them back and forth. Quicksilver pauses after a few moments, looking slightly pained. She seems to struggle with an unknown force, making odd faces and general discomforted noises before a dark look comes over her face, and she opens her tiny mouth to the sky with a high pitched, barely audible noise. Tye and Degenerate watch this with confused looks, before a thin silvery beam erupts from Quicksilver's mouth and shoots into the sky. She's released by the unknown force and is left gasping on the ground, causing more confusion for Tye and Degenerate. Exactly what was that, just now?
Degenerate shrugs and lifts his hands to the sky, not particularly bothered by the worried look on Quicksilver's face. Be all cryptic and stuff, then. He couldn't care less (or at least, he didn't care until the effects of that appeared). He swings his arms back and forth, tapping a quick beat out on the ground and humming quietly to himself. Degenerate looks around as his entire body begins to shudder, and his arms swing around to point at a badly burnt manhole cover, almost obscured by the mud and sand on the ground. There's a look of solemn concentration on his face as he stares at it, and raises an arm suddenly, the manhole cover flying away to bury itself in the side of an unrecognizable building further down the street.
Degenerate is standing spread-eagled now as a wave of rank-smelling, pure sewage rises up out of the open hole in the ground and flows over him without touching him, flying towards both Quicksilver and Tye. The smell hits them first, causing them to make weird faces and put hands over their mouths before the actual sewage hits them, swamping their mouths with the scent of nasty, decaying matter. Quicksilver and Tye feel itches spreading up their body and fight the urge to scratch themselves all over, probably at the risk of a huge infection. Miraculously, the sludge begins to thin as it spreads out over the streets, and all three Pokemon can breathe a bit easier now as the sand absorbs some of the sewage. Degenerate would probably be smiling a bit more if it wasn't for the disgusting smell permeating the air; even the few spectators who had been watching the battle from the relative safety of the buildings have disappeared.
With a disgusted grimace, Tye raises his arms while still trying to cover his face. He moves them back and forth, trying to fan away the scent, and looks up and away from the ground. Still moving his arms, Tye turns towards Quicksilver and whips his arms towards her, a tiny pink spark flying from his fingertips towards her. Before Quicksilver can even blink, she finds herself floating off the ground (again) and slowly bobbing up and down in the air. She wails and makes an unpleasant noise, kicking desperately for the ground as she moves further away from it. Tye frowns at the awful noise Quicksilver's making and makes a flicking motion with a hand, sending Quicksilver flying sideways. She plows into the sludge covered ground face-first and struggles to rise, ignoring Tye's giggles as she wipes the nasty goo off of her face. Oh no he didn't. Quicksilver didn't even care about being held in the air anymore; she'd tried so hard to keep this disgusting stuff out of her mouth and he just shoves her face first into it?
The Togepi raises her arms with a raspy breath, looking pointedly at Tye as she waves them in the air. She'd hit him with something good for sure. Quicksilver feels her body stiffen up and loosen, her arms dropping to her sides. Completely involuntarily, she finds herself walking over to Degenerate and starting to babble something about fairness and equality in battles. Specifically, this one. If he wanted to win this battle with
honour and integrity, he should throw aside that bell hanging from his neck. As she spoke, a dark purple spark flew from Quicksilver's hands straight to Degenerate's forehead, disappearing into his head silently. He blinked as the thought seemed to strike him. Was carrying the bell really such a big problem that Quicksilver felt the need to talk to him about it..? The Cleffa frowned, and pulled it up and over his head. Looking at it closely for a moment, he threw it aside the next. Quicksilver winced as control returned to her. Degenerate wasn't wincing in pain or anything! What was the point of that? And she was meaning to get Tye with that. She wiped her forehead with a hand. Was the ground starting to spin, or was that just her?
Degenerate rubbed his forehead in confusion. What was that just now? Why did he throw away his Soothe Bell? In any case, there was no point in picking it up again as it was covered in sewage and mud, and he was the cleanest one so far. Degenerate meant to keep it that way. Putting his arms in the air, he moved them side to side and tapped his foot to a rhythm only he could hear. The Cleffa jumped back as the ground began to rumble slightly, and to his surprise a huge, thorny vine burst from the point he was standing not even a moment ago. It twitched as Degenerate flinched away from it, and he realized the vine was copying the movements of his hands. Degenerate smiled at this revelation and lunged forwards, striking out in the general direction of Quicksilver. The vine followed, only seconds behind. It shot straight into the Togepi's stomach like a spiky fist, only to pull back and strike her across the face. Degenerate laughs and waves his arms around, watching the vine dance as it withers and falls to the ground like a limp rag.
Kusarigamaitachi frowns and calls Quicksilver's name over the sound of Degenerate's cheering, though it quickly becomes clear that she's not going to get up. It pulls out a Pokeball and recalls the fallen Togepi, standing back out of the way of any attacks that might come flying. Well, this battle just got 20% more boring.
Tye smirked as Degenerate stopped his yelling to catch his breath. How was he still standing? He looked like he was in such bad shape that a stiff breeze would knock him over. If a stiff breeze was needed, he could probably whip one up. Tye put his hands in the air and moves them side to side, taking deeps breaths as he does. In and out, in... out... His eyes slip closed and he just breathes for a few seconds, taking time to rest and focus his mind. Tye looks down in surprise to find his hands have slipped into a 'praying' position, and he's standing in a sturdy stance, turned towards Degenerate. He drops his arms. Did he really just spend a full minute breathing slowly? He looks down disgustedly. In that time he could've easily hit Degenerate with a rock or something and knocked him out.
Degenerate gives Tye an odd look and raises his own hands, though before he can do anything there's a shout from up the street. All heads, Trainer and Pokemon alike turn to see a shooting star-like object streak across the sky, followed by another and another. And another. The almost horizontal paths of the lights start to tilt, until they're falling almost vertically. What kind of shooting stars are these?
The first explosion can be heard from where the Pokemon are battling and an impressive earth-shaking rumble is felt by all. Tye jumps back and looks around wildly, though Degenerate is too tired to do anything but look side to side. It's the Trainers who notice the silvery beams of light falling from the sky, and Kratos points to the one that seems to be approaching them quickly. A sense of panic washes over them, though as they run for cover the beam of light falls further down the street, missing them completely. The referee squints at the sign, lit up by the silver energy of the beam for a split second before splintering into millions of pieces along with the rest of the building. Something.. Berry Mart? Oh. Blastoise wasn't going to be too happy about that. More beams of light are falling now, making the ground rumble constantly with their impacts. Out of the corner of their eyes, the Trainers spot a large chunk of a high-rise, blue-roofed building slide away from the rest of the structure with an impressive impact. They all whip around to watch the flames dance across the building's side, and try to peer through the gaping hole. That's the Kusari-Mart, if the referee isn't mistaken?
The store's owner frowns at the Pokeball in its hand. Dammit, Quicksilver. With a backwards glance at the battle, it escapes into the alleyways of the Black Market, presumably heading towards its burning store. It's almost understandable that no one sees the silver light heading for them until Tye is thrown across the street by it, completely caught off guard. Miraculously, as the mud and dust clear away the Cleffa is revealed to be still moving, and gets to his feet with a pained groan. Degenerate has to shake his head. How dense did one have to be to miss a
huge glowing beam of light heading for them at night time? He frowns and raises his hands in the air again, eager to try to end this battle.
The onslaught of the silver light seems to have stopped as Degenerate moves his hands side to side, blinking at the odd silence that's followed the destruction of ASB Central. He expected there to be more screaming, or the sound of sirens, or people rushing away from town with all their valuables, maybe? The silence is so out of place he begins to wonder if that's the effect of his Metronome. It isn't meant to be, though. He looks back in surprise as his tail begins to glow and tingle with an unusual silver light, and to his horror, it just drops off as the light fades. There's no pain, but that doesn't stop Degenerate from screaming and hopping around with a panicked look, only getting louder every time he sees his tail. Tye covers his head with his hands. He doesn't have the time for this. All this yelling is giving him a huge headache.
Tye waves his arms in the air, trying to ignore Degenerate's yelling. His head snaps up suddenly and he whips around to point at Degenerate dramatically. What was all the yelling about? All he could do was yell and flail around, anyways, though he could probably trip really well. Tye bet he couldn't even attack him without falling on his face. Yeah, that was a challenge. Come at me, bro. Tye smirked and held his tiny hands out, only grinning wider as Degenerate charged at him, furious. Who needed a stupid tail, anyways. As Degenerate approached, Tye weaved around him with the skill of a dancer and stuck his leg out, tripping Degenerate and making the Cleffa bounce off the ground, hard. Degenerate skids for a few feet, moaning as he does, until he's silent and it's clear he won't be getting up again for a while.

Degenerate is tapped on the back, and when he proves to be unresponsive Kratos recalls him into his Pokeball, a half smile, half exasperated look on his face. What was Degenerate going to do without a tail? Presumably the Pokemon Center would grow it back with their witchcraft-medicine, though it probably wouldn't be the same. He walks over to pick up Degenerate's tossed aside Soothe Bell, picking it up with a frown and attempting to get all the goop off. Kusarigamaitachi seems to have returned as well, and they gather with Pathos and the referee to gush about the destruction they caused. Did you see that Draco Meteor? No, did you see that Doom Desire? That was crazy! That Rock Wrecker may have been the most impressive move, though. The silence in the background of their conversation was a reminder that they'd better get the prizes handed out quickly, before Negrek showed up. The referee (who seemed to be more afraid of the head referee than the Trainers) handed out the prize money and babbled something about experience quickly before pulling her hood up to cover her face more. The repair for infrastructure was going to come out of her pay, she just knew it. With a quick look backwards, she disappears into the alleys of ASB Central, hoping to not run into a certain head referee on the way out of town.
-The Bank of TCoD is burning from the top down, as well as the Dragons' Den, the Sunnenrain Berry Mart and a few other buildings a bit further away. The Kusari-Mart has a huge chunk missing from the top of it. The wall of the Bank of TCoD closest to the battlers has two Pokemon-shaped indents. The streets where the Pokemon battled are more or less completely ruined, with dead plants lying everywhere, huge chunks of the ground missing, and mud on top of everything, mixed with copious amounts of bad-smelling sludge. The few standing chunks of pavement are covered in scorch marks. A number of the pillars that hold up the Pokemon Registration Office have been destroyed, and a large portion of its front wall has been torn down. The entire building is making a dangerous creaking noise. Many of the buildings surrounding the battle have been destroyed, the only evidence of their existence dark craters in the ground.
-Doom Desire struck at the beginning of the third action.
Good game! Sorry for the sort of unscheduled intermission in the middle, hahahaha well okay. Pathos gets $16, Kratos and Kusari get $3 and I get $10, I think that's how it goes? EDIT: So everyone gets 2 happiness points, then :o
