The Natu revamp is pretty good for a start, but you need to also resize things
from an old sprite, meaning Natu's head needs to be shrunk some. Some old sprites don't need resizing, but trust me it looks waaayyy better in the end.
Example: Old Sunkern
Revamp(made by me):
goldsunkernrevamp-1.png

Complete resize on body

Sorry if I sounded snotty or rude!

Hmm... I don't really know how to resize without ruining the revamp altogether. Actually, I don't even know how to resize at all.

Hum. I must say, you need a lot of practise. For a lot of the spices, especially the Kirlia/Raquaza/Pikachu one, it is blatantly obvious that you have just copy pasted parts from one Pokemon onto another. Again, using Kirlia/Rayquaza/Pikachu as an example, where the parts stick together, the shades don't match. Try scratching a little, and try putting parts where they actually look right. I mean, it has a tail coming out of its head. The revamps aren't bad, but I can't see the first one. It just comes up with an ordinary imageshack page. Recoours, I don't have much to say about, because they're really easy to do, and don't require much effort. This doesn't mean that you're bad, a lot of spriters start like this, but just keep practising, and one day, you'll look at your first sprite, then your most recent, and go wow.

Some of them were for certain people who requested it to be like that...
It's kinda weird...
Oh yeah, for the revamp, I'll put it up tonight. On a different comp miles away from the one with the revamp data right now.

Not the best I've ever seen, but they're definitely very good. I'd like to see more revamps.

*sigh* I'm thinking of taking every splice but Pipoleon away. I'm getting too much hassle over the anatomical structure here. It wasn't my fault someone wanted it like that!

No, but it was probably your fault that you made it like that. Most people don't request any details beyond "olol make me an Poliwag/Dialga plzthx" - there's nothing stopping you from actually making it look like it could be an actual splice, rather than just throwing parts together and going "WELL THEY WANTED IT THIS WAY SO NYAAAH."

Well really, I just started spriting at that time! You don't expect beginners to be perfect, do you? And I didn't know what "anatomical structure" meant at that time and I'd never even HEARD of anatomical structures at that time. It was fail.
-takes off-

That was my... 5th splice... And nobody on a writing site gives a damn about anatomical structure, they say it's perfect so I never got any comments on how to improve when I showed them what I could do...

To be honest, I started last month. But I've been recoloring since last year... But not Pokemon sprites. In fact... Forget Kirlia/Rayquaza/Pikachu. I don't like it, and it's had more hassle than it's worth.

Yes, you're just started out spriting, so you're not going to be hands down amazing right now. However, don't use excuse laziness with being a beginner. Just because some people don't care about anatomy, doesn't mean that it isn't a good thing to learn and use. (I happen to give a damn about anatomy, by the way.) Also comments that say your spritework is perfect should be taken with a grain of salt. Artwork at any skill level, sprites included, almost always has a flaw within it. Asking for criticism on your sprites is probably the best idea to recieve it (which it seems you have been), as well as listening and improving to the advice from the critic.

I'd be willing to criticize your Flaaffy revamp if you'd like me to.

...
I hate this thread.
...

Anyway, I know my Flaaffy sucks. I like it though.

It doesn't suck, it's head just looks like it is glowing because you put shadow color on both sides of the outline.

Just a bit more practice is all you need. Don't lose your head about it. We could all improve on something. Don't give up!
