Icalasari vs. Animorph

Nice one, Ribbon!

Alright, that Spheal is going to be PISSED! This is the perfect opportunity! Run into the caves, making sure that the Spheal follows, and use Earthquake to wreck her. Since you are in the rain, you should have a speed boost again, After the Earthquake (TRY to bring down rocks on both sides of Martha, so she is sealed from you and the outside world), use Rest

Now, for variables. If Martha does not follow and instead tries to Rest herself, wait until she is ALMOST asleep, and Dragon Rush her again to jar her awake. If she follows and tries, say, a Blizzard in the caves where you can't escape, use Protect. Use Dig if she tries to attack you on the beach. THAT will make her uneasy >:D

Lead Martha into Caves/Dragon Rush (if she Rests)/Dig (if she attacks) ~ Earthquake in caves/Protect if attacked/Lead Martha into Caves ~ Earthquake in caves/Protect if attacked/Rest if safe

(Damned three move cap per action x.x)

...You know what, Martha? We're not gonna get sucked into her quaint little choices. So, when she tries to lure you into the caves, freeze her feet to the ground with Ice Beam, so she can't dig or move on. If it works, I want you to use blizzard, and then chill. If not, use defense curl.

Ice Beam~Blizzard if she's frozen/Defense curl if not~Chill

Pre-Round

The battle was dragging on. The referee hid under a rock, muttering to herself while she flipped through a thesaurus. “Hmm…. cat-and-dog weather, cloudburst, condensation, deluge, drencher… Nope… Not working…” She sighed and stood up, closing the thesaurus with a thump. To put it in plain words, the referee had run out of ways to describe rain. She looked at the gloomy sky and crawled out from under the rock, before realizing that half her body was covered with wet sand. She decided not to swear, as she didn’t really think a getting paycut now would be very nice. T walked to the referee’s spot and stared at the empty space that was once Icalasari.

And so the single trainer, two murderous Pokemon, and one drenched referee waited for Icalasari’s return. “DQ warning,” the referee droned after what seemed like days, and continued to wait. Just when she was about to give up and go back to do her homework, Icalasari popped out of nowhere and gave his orders. Well, at least the battle can start now…

Round 12 Start

Well, that was some crazy orders. Ribbon paused for a moment, thinking them over. The goal was clear; give the Spheal pain. However, it seemed like an awfully complicated way to do it… The Gible supposed her trainer had his reasons, but the problem was figuring out what to do. Well, the first step was simple enough. With the nice rainy and wet condition, Ribbon headed towards the cliffs. There should be a cave somewhere there; she had sent one of her clones (now all gone) into one once. So…

Martha, by that time, had finished charging her Ice Beam. She opened her mouth. The ice-cold energy focused into a glowing sphere, then a beam of pale blue light shot straight out at the pondering Gible’s feet. The attack hit its mark; Ribbon yelped in pain and surprise as the beam hit, and a cold, thin layer of ice slowly started to cover her feet. She hadn’t seen the attack coming; she did turn her back to Martha after all.

Change of plans. Ribbon glanced at the fainted Horsea once more time and started to dig. She felt her hind legs freeze up, and the pain was horrible, yet she continued. Soon, the Gible was underground once again, but her feet felt oddly numb and heavy. She looked down and saw that a thin layer of ice had covered her feet, and, if not for the fact that they were battling on sand, she would have been stuck to the ground with nowhere to hide. Ribbon looked up and saw that the Ice Beam had stopped. That was good, at least…

Both Pokemon suddenly flinched at the same time when they felt the poison from the toxic ocean flow through their bodies.

Martha glanced about nervously. The Gible had dug down again, and the Spheal still remembers, quite vividly, the pain from the previous sneak attack. The two holes on her belly and the scratched all over her body was a good reminder of what the Gible was capable of. Since the Gible hadn’t frozen to the ground like she hoped it would, there wasn’t much to do… Martha curled up into a tighter ball, protecting her soft belly and the two gaping wounds with the rest of her body, and waited for whatever was coming next.

Ribbon was, to be frank, quite confused. She knew that she was supposed to lure the Spheal into the caves, but she’s now underground and had no order to come up. The Spheal also didn’t seem like it was attacking, and, from the vibrations Ribbon felt, it was still in the same place as before. Maybe she should come up, but she wasn’t ordered to do so. However, if she stays underground, she wouldn’t be able to actually do anything. What to do, what to do… Ribbon’s thoughts were suddenly interrupted when she felt pain coursing through her body. Stupid poison.

Martha curled up into a tighter ball and cringed when she, too, felt the effects of the poison.

<Ribbon: -2HP -0E; Martha: -2HP -1E>

Ribbon stayed underground, feeling nervous and cold. Her feet were still frozen, and the ice chunks were slowly but surely bringing down the temperature of her little cavern. There was nothing to do now but wait for a new set of orders. At least her feet are so numb, she couldn’t feel the pain…

Martha, still curled up and nervous, looked at the hole the Gible had dug. What was that shark-thing planning? It had stayed underground for all that time… The Spheal sighed and tried to relax, ignoring the pain from the Gible’s previous attacks and the poison coursing through her body. She closed her eyes and settled into a more comfortable position, feeling a bit of her energy come back to her.

Ribbon flinched again as she felt the poison slowly eat away at her from the inside. The poison was getting annoying… Very annoying indeed.

Round 12 End

Post-Round

The rain continues to pour from the gloomy sky, and the Horsea were still lying on the beach, bruised and unconscious. The sea had somewhat calmed down now; the sand had mostly settled to the bottom of the bay, but the water remained to be a sickly purple color. A few jagged rocks littered the beaches, as well as three holes. Two of the holes connect to the same tunnel, while Ribbon lay in a tunnel beneath the third one. Her feet frozen, the Gible shivered in the dark tunnel. The ice from her feet was bringing down the temperature in the tunnel, and it was getting colder. Martha the Spheal, on the other hand, was still in the same spot as before, feeling quite nervous of the unseen Gible.

Okay, Martha, I want you to roll over to that hole in the ground and breath an Icy wind down it. As fast as you can, now. That'll show her. Then use Rest, and chill

Icy wind down the hole~Rest~Chill

Protect when she uses Icy Wind. It will go first regardless. Then use Rest to sleep away your frozen feet, and chill
